The original cookbook (I haven't seen the new one) has some truly great appetizer/snack recipes in it. If you take a little time at the beginning of the week to make up things to snack on throughout the week, I think it pays off (at least, it does whenever I remember to
). As far as fruit, I love apples because the only preparation needed there is a quick washing. I'm bad about not wanting to eat stuff that takes a lot of effort to prepare.
