I know a few of you have had kid parties to go to the past few weeks - If I do decide to have a slice of birthday cake on Saturday - what should I count it as - 2starch and 1 fat?

It doesn't say how big a slice - PURPLEPIRATE99 03-07-2006, 12:35 PM Thanks ladies! Repo girl 03-07-2006, 01:03 PM My COD said if you scrape the frosting off, you don't have to count the fat. juliemarie 03-07-2006, 01:08 PM What the heck would you scrape off the frosting for? That's the whole reason to eat cake! ;) Repo girl 03-07-2006, 01:19 PM Yeah, no kidding! I made an angel food cake with berries over it for my littlest dds birthday. Since it was FF my COD say I could count a small slice as 1 starch, then a fruit for the berries, and of course, FF cool whip! Mom_of_3_Monsters 03-07-2006, 01:58 PM Yeah, no kidding! Our anniversary is next Saturday, maybe I will have to make DH this ;) marbear 03-07-2006, 02:15 PM Somebody made a rice crispy cake for their son's 2 year party. It was such a smart idea b/c it was much less messy than a cake...and easier for the kids to eat since it didn't require a fork. PURPLEPIRATE99 03-07-2006, 02:15 PM Katie - that does sound good - I might have to make me some on the side to eat while everyone else has cake! juliemarie 03-07-2006, 02:18 PM Mary- I've seen the rice krispie cake too. Except they made bars out of many different cereals (cocoa krispies, fruit crispies, fruit loops, captn crunch, and made different colors of rice krispie bars with food coloring. It was really neat and festive. PURPLEPIRATE99 03-07-2006, 02:20 PM mary - That sounds like a neat idea too - but the cake is already planned for this birthday anyway! Gamababa3 03-07-2006, 02:41 PM The AF cake with berries sound yummy! I sure wish we had more sweet choices some times. Heather is your frosting going to be buttercream or whipped cream? I would like the WC would be less fat. shennie_97 03-07-2006, 02:51 PM What the heck would you scrape off the frosting for? That's the whole reason to eat cake! ;) If i scrap off the cake and just have extra icing, what do I get then  PURPLEPIRATE99 03-07-2006, 02:55 PM Shennie - you are so funny!!!! I'm sure Savannah will take care of her fair share of the icing - she loves it!! Barb - I believe it will be buttercream - it is a friend of mine that makes cakes on the side and she makes the icing by hand - I could probably request WC PURPLEPIRATE99 03-07-2006, 02:55 PM Shennie - you are so funny!!!! I always get the corner piece, so I can have EXTRA frosting. Guess that's why I gotta do LAWL now, huh! Angel food cake is my favorite - I don't even "ruin" it with berries... I could eat the stuff plain. marbear 03-07-2006, 04:09 PM heatherpp, my nephew has diabetes so we always get the whipped cream instead. They even sell color tips to go over the rediwhip so it won't be so plain jane. PURPLEPIRATE99 03-07-2006, 04:15 PM hmmm, maybe I will ask her about that - StargazerJMK 03-07-2006, 06:48 PM If i scrap off the cake and just have extra icing, what do I get then   Oh Shennie... You're my kind of person... The heck with the cake...let's get to the good stuff! marbear 03-07-2006, 08:28 PM I bet frozen chocolate icing would be the BOMB! deetsmom 03-07-2006, 09:35 PM (((SIGH))) This past summer I was somehow "maintaining" on WW (I thought I was trying to lose, LOL!) and at that time frequently had chocolate frosting spoonfuls for post power walk treats...MAN, those were the days, LOL! vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
