Good Morning,

Well it's that time again. WAKE UP!!!! At least it is the day I do my step workout which I enjoy more than my treadmill (the treadmill makes me want to go instantly back to sleep when the alarm rings). I ate well yesterday. I was telling someone at work yesterday that for every four or five days I eat well I have a day that makes up for that and more. It's like a seven day free for all packed into one day that undoes all the good and adds on a pound or two of bad. I need to break that cycle.

Uneventful day yesterday and no major schedule blips on for today. I clean for my mother after work on Tuesday's so that is where I'll be tonight. Late dinner on Tueday and straight to bed. Makes for a long day.

Weezle - I am sorry about your job problems but your posts do bring smiles into my evening and thanks for that.

Same goes for all of you. I sooo look forward to reading the days posts before turning in for the night.

Have great days on the beach chickadees!!!!

Whoa! Freaky, you are up SO early! I logged on, having woken up early to do some work and go to the gym, but I'm still half-asleep! You sound alert and ready to go!

I made a yummy dinner last night -- whole wheat pita bread topped with chicken, mushrooms, broccoli, salsa, and RF mozzarella and ricotta cheese. My own little brick oven pizza! Except I don't have a brick oven. My own little gas-oven-that-no-one-knows-how-to-clean pizza! I think the only misstep was the salsa, it seemed out of place.

I tried to stay well away from sugar alcohols yesterday, apart from a tea flavored with SF syrup and a late night jello, because of my weekend excesses which left my stomach delicate and gurbling all day. It still feels off and I'm reminded of an episode of House where a patient was found to be poisoning himself with sugar-free gum (about 6 packs a day will do it). Icky.

With that in mind, have good days, Chicklets!

Would you believe I went to bed last night at 9? I just can't seem to keep my eyes open once I sit down to relax anymore.

Good morning Freaky and SunLit, and all you other sleepyheads. There's nothing exciting planned around here for the day. It's been warming up outside, so maybe we'll go to the park after lunch. I had the girls out for a while yesterday, and we all really enjoyed the time spent in the sunshine! I just started a load of laundry, and I'll be leaving for Curves shortly. I'm free until 11, so I'm going to try to do some gardening this morning, too.

Beachgal ~ That's a shame about your leg! Hope it heals quickly!

Good MORning Cottage, Freaky and Sunlit.
Took BRady to doctor's yesterday and he now has an infection in his right lung. SOt hey started him on an antabotic and a cough medicine with codine.
I slept from 10:45- 3:30 am. I have been up since then. Dh got up for work, Brady started cough at 4 and then at 5 had to give him more medicine he just would't stop coughing. THen I lay doen at 5:30 hopiong for 30 minutes and Quinn woke up for the day. SO after gving up on lseep I worked out at 6 am. Not the best workout becuase Quin needed a drip then he needed a choclate pop. Oh and I forgot my middle son needed a pudding at about 5:10am. SO needless to say I am tired. I think BRady went back to sleep after all his sedating meds and it will be aweful sending him to school. But if he stays out one more day the subsititue will give him extra homeowrk just because she is crabby.
SO yesterday I said I would start another diet. I did it. I did so well and at night relaized I can add more calories. The scale was down a lb this mroning. I don't think I lost that but maybe now the yo yo effect will stop. I feel like if I follow this diet that I can see and read and abide and exercise I am confiedant I will begin loosing again.
WEll time to make lunches and get in the shower. Hope you all had a better night then me. Have a good day everyone!

Good Morning All!!

Mama- I hope you can get more sleep and I hope your sons health improves. I don't know how you do it all!

Freaky- I know what you mean about likeing one exercise way more. I love the days when I go to Curves, but the day I hit the regular gym and have to use the elliptical is a day that I am usually dragging and less motivated.

Sun- That pizza sounds good. I haven't tried making the whole wheat pizza crust yet, but my Aunt made it and it didn't come out right. Probably, just her cooking though.

Cottage-Have fun at Curves

I have to work til 3:00 and then I am going grocery shopping. We are having a little birthday party for our co-worker today and there will be lots of healthy food because she had the gastric bypass surgery and she can't have any sugar. Finally, a healthy birthday party. I work with 30 women that love to cook so there is usually a ton of bad stuff that I can't have, and it usually is very tempting. Anyways, I hope everyone has a great, successul, day. Talk to everyone throughout.

Good morning fellow babes! Wow - I'm gone for a few days and it sounds like so much has happened. Welcome to all of the new chicks on the beach! :welcome2:

Beachgal - Hope you heal up quick!

Weezle - Hope you find a school that better appreciates you. It really makes me mad that you're being treated that way at one of our schools. (I'm a fellow Lutheran.) These are people that should set a better example. :soap: Okay, nuff said.

Cottage, have a great workout. It's getting warmer here too. Spring's here! My tulips and daffodils are starting to come up!

Mama - Man, sounds like you've really got your hands full. Hope you get some rest and that everyone in your house gets healthy soon.

I'm off to the dentist this morning for a checkup and then off to work. To anyone else I missed, good morning! :flow2:

My bath is running so this will be a bit of a quickie.

Thanks for the early start-up Freaky. I was up and about at 5:30 today but didn't get a chance to pop in. Doggy duties called.

Mamahulk, you certainly have your capable hands full, I hope the medicine helps ease your son's pai and your stress.

SunLit, the pizza sounds good and I agree about the salsa. I saw that episode of House and had forgotten it! I hope the tummy settles down soon.

Cottage, GARDENING! Is your snow all gone? Want some? I can be there in seven hours with a load for you.

Bella, what an opportunity to switch everyone over to healthy eating! Enjoy the party.

Jana, You have the dentist and I have my orthopaedic surgeon appointment today. It's doctor day!

This morning I need to go to town to meet with my knee surgeon. The knee is certainly not all better :( so I guess the operation was a "qualified" success. Next step will be a replacement but I'm hoping to hobble through the summer without going through recovery again! I am going to book myself in for physio although he seemed to think I didn't really need it!

Last night I got a phone message about a Community In Blooms meeting! It's funny how some things get spread through the Village grapevine and others don't. In the Fall I firmly stated that I would NOT be doing CIB this summer but would still order and prepare the plants at the greenhouse and give a decent discount. I plan to stick to my guns. Last summer just finished me with that group of "volunteers"! The day I got home from the hospital from the knee operation, they called to ask when I was going to put up the Christmas decorations on the Village gazebos. When I mentioned the operation, they just asked "Well, when will you be able to do it?" I told them where the stuff was and to go and get it! Grr! Anyhow, this spring and summer, I'll be doing my own gardens only although I'll continue to do the Fairground planters.

Gee, that was sort of *****y! Sorry but crap like that gets me steamed.

Ignore all that! it's a gorgeous sunny day but 8ºF! Before I go to town, I may put on my coat and have a coffee on the deck in the sunshine. It's dry and sunny and the Girls are enjoying lying out there these days. The birds definitely think it's spring. There are spring songs and "other activities". I guess they're just practicing.

Have a Terrific Tuesday!

Good morning everyone!

Freaky - Enjoy your workout. As soon as I'm done here I'm gonna pop my Leslie Sansone DVD in and get to it. Still trying to wake up.

Sunlit - I was feeling yucky :p all weekend and I bet it was the sugar alcohol. I didn't have any yesterday and I felt great. :D

Cottage - Enjoy the sunshine! :flow1:

Mama - I'm sorry your boy's not feeling well. Try to take a nap sometime today. A mama's gotta have her strength. My little one (3 years old) didn't want to go to school today and he was kicking and screaming as I put him on the bus. :( Not fun.

Bella - Enjoy the party! :gift: Finally a party where you don't have to sulk over not being able to eat anything.

Jana - Dentist! EEEK! At least it's only a checkup.

Ruth - 8 degrees! And I was complaining about the 27 degrees here! Enjoy your warm bath. :)

Pear - Hope you get to feeling better.

Well, I went to my first TOPS meeting last night. It seems like a really nice group of ladies. Plus I'm probably the 2nd thinnest person there. Only downside is that they don't seem to be losing any weight. The group had a net gain of 11 pounds! Is that a bad sign? Or could they just be having a bad week?

I lost another pound! That's 9 so far. I know it's probably just water weight, but it's so motivating to change my tracker. :D

Toodles everyone!

Hi everyone!

Freaky - I don't like the treadmill either. Sounds like you have a busy day, hope you have a good one!

Sunlit - I have to watch the sugar alcohols too. They really mess with my stomach.

Cottage - Sounds like your body must be needing some extra rest, I know once I sit down at night I am done. So I have to get everything done first because once I'm on the couch, it's all over with.

Mama - My youngest daughter, Abby, has allergy induced asthma and she has a really hard time with the change of seasons. If I make sure she takes her Zyrtec on a regular basis, it really keeps her asthma under control. I also find that if she's got a cold, I use her albuterol inhaler once or twice daily to keep her "open" so the cold doesn't settle in her lungs. I learned that in '04 when she had pneumonia 3 times between Halloween and Thanksgiving. Hoping your son gets better soon!

Bella - I don't think I've ever been to a healthy birthday party!

Jana - Good luck at the dentist, I'm going tomorrow and I hate it! I'm such a wimp.

Ruth - Good for you on putting limits on what you are willing to do. Unfortunately with some people if you give an inch, they take a mile.

It's another cold day here in Maryland but they are calling for it to be around 70 by Friday. I hope so!

Not much else is going on. I have a hair appointment this morning so I'm leaving work early. I'd better go get the bills in the mail so I don't have to come back!

Have a great OP day everyone!

Freaky You are so dedicated to your exercise- I wish I had a fraction of your motivation!! :lifter:

SunLit Your pizza sounds delish! I had taco soup for dinner- about the 5th time I have eaten it. Getting a bit bored, but am trying not to grocery shop before DH gets paid.

Cottage Enjoy your day! I was in bed by 9:10 myself last night. I am not a night owl, so this is farily typical for me.

Mama  I hope you can get some rest soon. Listening to your night made me worn out. I hope that Brady is feeling better soon. I am sorry to hear that his teacher is such a jerk!!

Ruth Good for you for saying "no"! I think this is probably a word that you don't say often enough!!

Pear, Jana, and Bella Have a super day! :flow:

The sleepover was fun- they played, we ate dinner, went to the park, watched a movie. They were up until at least ten giggling and talking. I think I wound up falling asleep before they did! They just stumbled out of DD's room a minute ago. They are already playing. :) Too cute......

Okay, believe it or not, I am down to ONE load of laundry today!! I have been cleaning and doing all kinds of stuff around the house for days. I am doing this one load today and then RELAXING!! :beach:

Mamahulk -- poor poor DS.. I hope the medicine will help jiffy quick!

SunLit, I love the description of your oven! The pizza sounds AWESOME!!!!!! I saw that episode too, just love House! I DEfinitely know what you mean about the effects of those SF alcohols ... Been there Done that! I found taking some fiber helped me git it allll out (I know that aint a problem heh heh, but it helped to get the gurgling down..)

Cottage, GARDENING!  I'm convinced it's for us grown ups who still like to play in the dirt.. Today I do battle with the weeds.

Bella, -have a great time at the party!

Jana --hope the doc pronounces you cavity free!

Ruth: hmmm Is there anything else that can be done to git that knee even more better? And hmmpf! I hear ya about "volunteers" you know what they say..the more you do, the more they want.. so you stick to them guns! :encore:

I'm enjoying my 3rd cup of cawfee and watching the cardinals and song birds at the feeder.. Then time to don my Ms Greenjeans and play in the dirt!

Have a SUPA DAY!!!!!

Good morning everyone

Is it Friday yet?!? :?: It already feels like it's been such a long week. My only delight has been reading everyone's funny stories - it gets me through the day.

I added in a cup of yogurt yesterday - but no cheating - today I feel blah. I'm thinking I need to only add WG bread and get rid of the yogurt. Too much sugar or something.

Well - I'm off to deliver trainings today so I won't be able to read everyones posts till tonight. Hope everyone has a wonderful and OP day!

Good morning everyone!

I am running out the door but I had to reply to Rose's post from yesterday. Rose, we started SBD on the very same day, it sounds like. I also am going to add one fruit. Now, I have one starch and two fruits (usually strawberries --our local ones are fresh and wonderful now) plus an apple.

My weight loss has totally stalled this week, so maybe the ww bread was too much? I did cheat with truffles but even before that I hadn't lost. Almost TOM though. I do feel much better than I did before I started SBD, plus I have lost a lot of weight, but of course I want instant results. Rose, you are doing so well!:carrot:

Chicks, have a wonderful day!:flow1:

quick pop in-today my son and I are trying out a complimentary class at the new Little Gym here. He's 23 mo and the class is appropriately called "Beasts"

My arms are ridiculously burning after my PT appt yesterday. It was really good and helpful b/c i just don't think that you can ever push yourself as hard as someone else can. But there was a scheduling mix-up and he had to train another girl at the same time-now no big deal normally but a [b]-itchy college cheerleader, are ya kidding me?:rollpin: but I still can see how this can be addicting and it's sooo expensive, I told dh that it was a "complimentary" session...whoops I still have 3 more paid for so i'd better fess up soon...a little loving, a day of golf, some meat, we'll be good as new!!:D

Hi! I'm down 2 more pounds this week. Yay!!! I can't believe it!
I don't know if I should say this but I'm actually starting to notice more men staring at me than in a long, long time & I don't think it's just because of my new car because I've been noticing it all of the time. I love it!
Is it only Tuesday? I thinks it's gonna be a slow day!
I can't wait to get back to the gym tonight & speed up this great transformation to my body!
Later!

P.S.
Weezle, I'm glad we've all got a place here for us to vent. Sometime I just hate people. Who do they think they are?
Believe it or not, I went to a Lutheran School for preschool - 8th grade & we did that dress up week, too, and our colors were blue & white!

freaky - I do the same thing. I lose weight all week and then put it on over the weekend. At least this weekend I stayed OP but just ate a bit too much starchy stuff.

cottage and Schatzi - Oh, I love to garden. Maybe I'll have some time after work today. The weather is so nice to be outside.

mama - You are going through such a tough time. I hope you son gets better soon and you are able to get some more sleep.

bella - Our birthday parties at work are so unhealthy and yet so tempting that I work from home on those days. Otherwise, I don't know if I would have the willpower to stay OP.

Jana - Good luck at the dentist!

Ruth - Good job keeping them from taking advantage of you. Sometimes I think the hardest thing to say is NO.

pear - Hope you feel better.

Hoosier - Congrats on the weight loss!

Kiko - Enjoy Spring Break! You deserve it. Oh, I wanted to say that the picture of you and your DH is really nice. You both look so good!

ckb - I've never seen yogurt work that way with me. Make sure you drink your milk if you aren't going to eat yogurt. You need your calcium - now I sound like my mom ;)

sarah - Sounds like a good dinner. Our family loves whole wheat pasta. Tonight is Eggplant Parmesan with either WW penne or bowtie. I'll probably let Brian decide.

Maureen - Give you body some time to adjust to phase 2. It will be a slower loss.

batmomm - I've never used a pt (too cheap, I guess) but I know I work a lot harder when I take an exercise class. I am still sore from Saturday's Powerflex.

Demeter - Have fun at the gym! Men do notice more.

Hi, 3darlings!

beachgal - I am really sorry to hear about your leg. I know how much working out means to you. And I remember trying to deal with a two story house after having foot surgery. I think I slept on the couch for awhile rather than deal with the stairs.

Me - I'm going to have a hard time getting as much exercise as I had planned in my weekly goal. I just found out I have a meeting Wednesday with the rest of the Twilight Camp staff and I forgot about plans for Friday night. Maybe I can at least get a walk in.

Good mornin' ya'll

I've been MIA for a while, a lot of stress in my household, but I feel like I'm getting back in control. So I want to get my spot back on the beach. I haven't been toooo bad. But bad enough to gain 5 lbs in the last month and half. Things just weren't going well, and still aren't great but like I said I feel more in control and think I can get back OP more confidently. I stocked the fridge w/ good stuff and made a good soup last night, I went through the recipe section again and came across an easy spicy chicken soup. It was pretty good, it does have a kick though, whooooooo.

I hope everyone is doing great, and on my free time today I'm gonna go back and read up on what everybody has been doing. Everybody take care and I'm glad to be back, I've missed ya'll ;)

Hello All,

I had another OP day yesterday,, I tried the Turkey & Bacon Wraps SBD and they were awesome, that is the first time I introduces a bread like substance, I felt bloated afterwards, BUT NO cravings,,,, It will be easy to make these on my own though and cheaper.

I passed my test yesterday.. Now for another one today. ughhh,, I soooo Miss the Work Force life.. School life is just to stressfull and some what boring to me.... (if that makes sense). Next week is Spring Break so I have a whole week of NOTHING to do,, other than the typical household chores, But I intend to hopefully get an excercise regiman started and see how I do with it........

Take Care All.................

Ok so I was not an angel  this weekend...thank goodness I have a new week to focus on. Just found out 2 of my best guy friends are getting married, and I am going to meet my husbands family in June so lots of things to motivate me to look fabulous. :queen: I am so happy that I have not self sabotaged my loss (yet - did I say that, what a pessimist I am, freaky will understand) Anyway today I have to put some hours in at my at home job then go out of town this evening to get some photos done. My house is a wreck but I am not expecting company so it can stay that way till the weekend...I need to make it to the gym tonight no matter what...CARDIO is calling my name.

Here is to an OP day....'feel' those pounds melting away rewarding you all for your good OP behavior...

freaky - I hear ya on the one day outdoes all the good days gripe. Thats why we need to start having only good days *wink* :nono:

Sunlit - ewwww....6 packs a day of sugar free gum, :barf: that guy has some problems hehe

cottage - you SHOULD go to the park today...the sunshine is absolutely fabulous, :dancer: it makes you feel so good, although I drains me...if I am out for too long I get really groggy.

mamahulk - I am sending some much needed sleep your way...

Ruth - I think you are right to still be steamed about that whole situation.

Christine - congrats on your loss, I would say the group gaining as a whole could mean some were having success while others may have been slacking. Maybe you can motivate them...

Kiko - love your new avatar...

ckb - sorry if you have covered this, I have been gone for the weekend and yesterday...what are the training your deliver?

sarah - that does sound yummy!

batmomm - I used to work at a gym and was addicted to personal training, it is sooo expensive but you are right you work really hard. I know some gyms do group personal training where you can get together a group of friends or colleagues and the rate goes down for each person.

Demeter - I am so proud of you, it seems like everytime you pop in you have some great news about your success...keep it up chica! :grouphug:

Barb - break your exercise up into littler amounts...also amp up your everyday activities to make them count as exercise...clean really hard...take things upstairs in smaller amounts so you have to walk up them more...get mini walks in...every minute adds up.

Tammy - I had noticed you were gone, we are glad to have you back sweety.

:encore: Morning...MsCrockett, Maureennn, Schatzi, Tyra, Pear, Bella, janam,

Bat Cracking up at the name of the Little Gym class. I am going to take my little one to a class this summer. She turns one in June, so I think that will be perfect!

Stephie Enjoy your OP day! You will feel so much better when you go to bed knowing that you did it!

Barb What happened to the gorgeous weather we had yesterday??? I want the sun!!!!!

Just did a WATP workout- 2 giggling girls in my way, but I still managed to get my heart rate up! DD's friend is staying until this afternoon. Her mom and dad are on a cruise, (well deserved- they have 3 kids under 4 years old!) so I will deliver her to her aunt around 3:00 or so. We are going to let the kids play and then have dinner. I need to call and find out what the she is serving. I will be tacky and take my own food if it isn't something I can eat. Fortunately she won't care one bit!! My weigh-in is tomorrow and I want some good results. :)

Okay- need to hit the shower!

Morning gals! Just got back from Curves. I set up of my AVON books out & they were all gone, I WAS happy. Then another gal told me that my books were thrown out because the owner's sil sell's AVON. Sheesh.....all she had to do was ask me to pick them up. I don't know what the big deal is....everyone else is welcomed to put their business cards/etc out but mine get thrown out? UGH! Then I workout out & there was a gal there who would just exercise well.....she seemed to be over sex....does that make sense? Like on the step machine she would swing her hips & on the squats she would come up & thrust her pelvic out.....I was turning red just watching her. It was like a bad episode of Seinfield! OYI!
OK, well gals I'm off to work...have a great OP day!!

Hi chickies -

Just a quick post. My new boss started yesterday. So I might not be on as much as I usually am for a while :)

I weighed myself yesterday at the gym and am up nearly 2 lbs. I am totally bummed. But I know exactly why I'm up and I know how to fix it. I know I need to stay OP and watch my portions. Sometimes OP groceries are so expensive, though. It's just cheaper to eat bad, which is terrible! I hope this gain keeps me motivated to stay on my exercise plan.

I've got to run.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Hi everyone:wave:

I'm at work so just read through the post real quick....what a lively bunch you all are!! Please forgive me if I forget to acknowledge everyone:o I am not quite as lively today...had a hard time nodding off last night after returning late from after work errands & sleeping from 12AM to 5AM. I hope I will still have energy to go to Curves today after work & if I do make it I plan to reward myself with a session at the tanning booth:) At least though, I am still OP for Day 2 and I even remembered to bring my FF half & half for the office fridge today so I can't goof that.

Mama: Sorry to hear about your son & the sleep deprivation.

Ruth: I so hear ya about the volunteers...used to be on a theatre board..where they'd take a mile if given an inch.

Schatzi & Cottage: I have a gardening itch to but no time...too bad I couldn't send one of you virtual airline tickets there is a yard in California that could use a few less weeds & a little more color.

For everyone else a big Hi! great job with staying OP and exercising if you are. As I get to knowing more names & being around here more, I'll type a little more. Just pardon my amnesia if I can't recall everything I read, I'm really not trying to be rude...maybe just early short term memory loss???:o

Have a great day on the beach!!

Sue :)

Not much new to report here.... still hate the job, still looking for something else, still busy as ever. I have to try to get stuff done for the open house, leave work by 4, go home, change, eat, and be back here to set up for the open house that starts at 6. Then I'm working the open house from 6-8 and not getting paid for it. All this when I could be playing volleyball and having a nice time. Isn't life grand?

Sorry. I've been Mrs. Negativity lately and I do apologize for that. I've just been a big crab.

Well, I have a ton of folders to put together for tonight's open house. Hope you all are ok. Is it St. Pattie's Day yet? I'm looking forward to my Day of Irish Food and Drink. Take care everyone. Talk soon.

Arrrrg... feeling really frustrated right now! Won't go into all the details but supposed to be weighing in tonight.. maybe I've lost quite a bit and it'll make me feel better... going jogging with my mom but deciding between FINALLY cleaning my apartment and pilates - I think since I'll still be getting 50 mins of exercise in that I'll choose cleaning my apartment for the sake of my sanity.

Anyways that's my random 2 cents

Just feel so sad today! Jogged with my mom and usually exercise gets me out of my funk, but got back to my BF's place and just broke down crying... This is supposed to be the end of my TOM so it doesn't make sense... seems like all my girlfriends are going through break-ups or rough emotional stuff right now, and I'm selfishly feeling tired of playing counselor... I LOVE my ladies so like I said it is selfish and atleast it's not me... oh well, trying to brainstorm something comforty and OP... gonna peruse recipes now

It was fun reading the posts. I posted a nice long one yesterday then, whammo, computer went offline, once I got back on all my hello's to ya'll were gone....grrr.

Anyway, starting to see the snow melt..........amen. It's been a long winter.

I have homework in front of me, and a clogged sink in the kitchen (I know dear, I shouldn't use the garbage disposal for anything except water) My dh will love me when he gets home from skiing with my daughter.

Went grocery shopping to fill the house with OP foods and fixed lunch for my dh and me already.

Hope you all had a great day and will see you in the AM!
