However, I need to post my journal entries - at least this first week back - as a way to be accountable. Hope ya'll don't mind!

LA Toffee Pecan Popcorn (S)

Long day at church with back-to-back programs beginning at 4:00pm, so frozen dinner only good option for dinner. I think I'm going to purchase a lot of chicken breasts, grill, and store either in freezer or fridge for a quick protien option.

I'm actually looking forward to getting started and getting week one under my belt! Hopefully, that belt will be much looser at the end of the week!:)

No wonder why the scale crept up 1.5 lbs

Barb - Is the only difference btw purple and gold (pp,ss,vvv,fff,fa,LL,D) one V??? just wondering..... and larger proteins. with blue you get a starch more and just 1/2 of the regular (gold) protein more.

Hi Heather,

Yes I was told that the next time I would move down when I get to 175 I would lose a V and I thought she said the portion sizes were a little smaller. I'm getting ready to go into the COD so I could ask again.

Hope things turn around for you soon I know it can get a little frustrating. I think I would be concerned getting to my goal weight of 180 by June 18th if the exercising more slows the weight loss down. I weighed this AM and of course the scale shows 200.2 I new I got to excited seeing 199.8 yesterday. I think my system is testing me to see if I will also stay POP over the weekend:) I'll catch up more in the other thread later.

I just got back from the center and they did confirm it is 1 less veggie and less portions sizes, but she didn't go into it since I am quite aways from moving down. Hope that helps.

Thanks for asking Barb - Do you ladies think I should move or just stick with gold?? Someone on the other thread mentioned maybe moving to red or maybe purple? Shennie - any thoughts? I'm really only doing around 4 hours / week on the weight training and cardio.....

Heather, I do not think that it would hurt at all to move up a plan and see what happens. Sometimes your body needs a little shake up!

Have you tried to stop exercising for a week. Maybe letting the muscle relax will help, my counselor told me that after gold comes the green that is the one that helps in losing those last 10 or 15 pounds faster. That's what my counselor told me, Iknow some of the girls have better ideas!

Milca - I don't think I should move down - if nothing else I think I'm not getting enough food to be honest. I'm working out pretty hard, just not over 5 hours.
If anything I might need to stay Gold and do a better job being POP - I've had a few cheats, but defiitely not enough to cause this type of gain....

If I was going to try to move plans - Should I move to blue or purple if I continue to do lights?

Oh Milca - I forgot to comment on the exercising - I would love to do that to see if that is what it is - but I'm afraid I would get slack. I didn't exercise while I went to MI for 4 days, cheated one night with calzones and lost 2 lbs - so it is either one of two things - I confused my body that night and then got right back on plan - or it was the stomach virus I caught or b/c I didn't exercise....????

Katie - I was thinking purple too - so I will have to take a look at the purple plan in case I decide to move - I think I might stick with gold for now - just to give my body time to re-regulate after what I've been through. Then If I'm not losing - try to move?? whatcha think? b/c I have been losing on gold for 2 months now?? and exercising too? the same exact amount?????

Heather- My center told me yesterday that sometimes when you hit a plateau, just changing plans for a couple of weeks can break it, then you can go back to your old plan. You know, the theory of changing things up.

Milca - Oh chickie - we can share the tequila together. I'm just hoping that all the body changes are the cause for the stall. In my heart I really feel like Gold was working and will work again. You never know - what works today - might not work tomorrow :?: - so I guess i will just remember the comment from the other board this morning "keep plugging away until something works" whatever it happens to be. I definitely don't want to give up the exercise - it makes me feel healthy and strong and fit :wl: :barbell: :tread: :workout: :woops: :running: :strong: :lifter:

- plus no matter what that scale says :blah: - ( yes, mine talks to me - in a real masculine sexy voice every morning :dizzy: ) hahaha .....I know my clothes are fitting better. I even gave all my 14's that I wasn't having altered to my friend that started LAWL a week ago.....I'm in there for the long haul - I just want to see results like everyone else.. :flow2:..

I was thinking blue...thats where I started 30 pounds ago (162) and at that time I was working out 4-5 hrs per week, straight cardio. I did blue with lites.

Were all here for you Heather. I'm so proud of you that you are continuing with the exercise as you know it will help with toning your body and helping your clothes to fit better. Now if I'd just get my butt back in gear instead of being so focused on the scale and wanting to meet my first goal by 6/18.

Thanks for everyone's input - I think I might try the blue for at least a week or two and see what happens....especially since now I'm really 165 according to my evil scale this morning....

You know I was tempted to skip the gym after work today - just to have a break, but after seeing all you guys helping me - I'm definitely going and sweating it out!!!!

When I was on gold and staying strictly on program and NOT losing my counselor moved me to blue. It is exactly the same portionwise as gold with the addition of one starch and one half protein. I started losing the weight again and stayed on blue untile maintainence. SOmetimes that little extra just gets your metabolism going. I don't know if you go to the center or do it yourself. I usually just cruise to see what everyone is talking about so you might want to consult your counselor. This is what worked for me. Good Luck!

I think I will ask about going to blue (been on gold almost 12 weeks) --my loss is crawling when I am POP but then I have a cheat (vacation, anniversary dinner) and the scales finally move. Maybe just wishful thinking!!

Okay girls - it is official - I'm moving to Blueland.........Going strong and going to lose this weight!!!
Weds. March 29, 2006 (I feel like I'm cramming in food everywhere I can fit it!!!) If anyone reads this and has a suggestion - please feel free to let me know - I know you would think it wouldn't be hard to add an extra starch, but when you are so used to just 2 - it gets difficult.......plus I want to keep it evened out throughout the day!!!
