Default Mens Calories?
I was trying to help my dad loose a few lb. and when I went to the calorie calculator on this site it seems that men can have alot more calories than women. Why is my burning question???

Men just have more muscle mass, thas why ... They will eat MORE calories than us and lose faster too!!! I agree NOT FAIR...

My DH has been told he's got hight cholesterol so he cut out red meat and is being careful, no junk food, HE lost 8# in 2 weeks ... Plus, the man is slim... SO not fair!!!!!!

Definitely not fair, but men can eat way more. My dh gives up chocolate for a few days when he starts gaining a few lbs, and loses 3-5lbs in a week! (Chocolate is his main junk food though--he eats at least a couple of chocolate bars a day in an average week).
