If anyone has a job outside of home that they really love, I'd like to hear what it is!

I really do love my job. I am a certified optician. I help the optometrist with patient exams, I help patients choose eyeglass frames and lens choices and contacts, grind the lenses to make the glasses, teach patients how to wear and care for contacts...

Mainly it's because I have eye problems so I can understand where someone is coming from when they need help. I love glasses and wish I had more money for more frames. I am always able to keep learning more. I've been working here for quite awhile now so I know all my may not sound that exciting, but I love my job.

I do!

Have a job outside the home AND love it (most of the time!)

I'm a Farm Loan Officer for the United States Dept. of Agriculture. We're VERY busy this time of year, and this year is especially difficult.

I love the challenge, though, and I love the feeling of accomplishment I get the day a loan is closed (especially if it's one that was hard to get worked out!)

Lol most days I love my job!

I'm an educational teaching assistant. I work with children who have behavioural/learning difficulties. I work one on one with different children in a class and modify their school work so that they can succeed in the classroom setting.

I love my job because it's so hands on. I never know what I'm going to see when I go in the morning. I deal with all behaviours, so you never know if it's gonna be a happy face day... or a sad day for my little ones. But it's all good... it keeps it interesting, and keeps me on my toes! :D

I'm an elementary school teacher. I teach grade 2 (probably between your 1 and 2) Used to teach grade 4, and am still 'adjusting' to the grade change. The kids are adorable, I just have to get my mind wrapped around the content.

Most days I love my job. How could you not love being surrounded by young ones who adore you? Innocent minds with a thirst for knowledge. Questions and comments that just have to make you chuckle.

Some days I am REALLY tired, and then one of those little ones will offer to rub my back or give me a hug, or just ask if I'm OK. They can be so sweet.

Other days, the paperwork and politics get me down, but after a while in the classroom, things seem right again.

Don't get me wrong... I do tend to complain now and then and can get REALLY frustrated when I have to repeat something 20 times, but overall, I love my job.

I'm a nurse and yes I love it. I especially love my old folks. Who better deserves comfort and well being than folks who have already put in a full (and sometimes hard) life. I love to make them comfortable and happy.

I work for a private health insurer. I am a clinical advisor on a specialist back pain team. I assess applications for back surgery, and for functional restoration programmes to get people mobile again, and living their life to the full.

I love my job, it's interesting and I really love the company I work for. And my colleagues are the best!

I love my job.... and I work for the government, not a contradiction in terms! I work for the Probation, Parole and Pardon Boards and I teach court ordered parenting skills to families going through bad divorces. I see alot of bad things, but I have the power of influence and can sometimes turn people around-plus it makes me appreciate the life I have!

I'm an archivist in a university Special Collections Library. Basically, I am in charge of organizing and providing access to unique and rare historic manuscripts and books. For a history geek like me, it's an ideal job. On a daily basis, I get to work with cool 100+ year old material. Plus, I get to "shop" for new manuscript purchases, meaning that I get to peruse catalogs and spend money that isn't mine! Another favorite part of my job is getting to work with students - both our student workers (who are awesome) and the students who come in to use our materials.

I love my job, I'm a waitress in a restaurant down at the beach. Everyone there is friendly and I just love the atmosphere. Also, since most people are around my age (16-25) I get along with everyone well.

I "used" to love my job. But I left it for my husband. LOL I was an administrative assistant for a local Society of CPAs. I was in charge of setting up recruiting fairs, legislative functions, taking pictures at such functions, writing articles and editing our membership newsletters, quality control administration for all member firms, editing the website and in charge of the financials. The job allowed me to travel once or twice a year. Because of the travel and all the other functions we held throughout the year, I spent quite a bit of time out of the office. Always something new so you didn't get bored with the same old routines.

I'm a certified personal trainer and sports nutrition coach and 95% of the time I love my job. I get to see real results helping people...everything from the already in shape woman who wants drop-dead gorgeous shoulders for her strapless wedding gown to clients who have been refered to me by their docs because strengthing their back is their last hope before surgery. Some days I play psychotherapist more than trainer, other session are all about food.

The only times I don't like my job are when I have the infrequent client who doesn't want to be there- some well meaning family member has bought them a "gift" of a gym membership and personal training because the gift giver thinks the receiver needs it. Yes, they usually do, but it usually backfires.

I've been a police dispatcher for over fourteen years. I love it. But maybe my behind wouldn't have spread quite this far if I'd have stuck with hair dressing. Of course, I totally sucked at hair dressing and can't cut a single strand of hair now:^: . Yep, I love my dispatching job!

I'm a business analyst/information engineer for an IT company - I like my job most of the time...I like being able to solve problems and fix stuff...I like designing systems and seeing them work the way they are supposed to...I hate the politics of working for a multinational corporation. I never used to get Dilbert - now I have to resist the urge to cut it out and hang it up in my cube almost isn't quite what I had dreamed of when I was in high school or college - but it works for now. Until I get outsourced to Calcutta :lol3:

I love my job! I work in document control in a biotech lab... the LAST place I would have ever expected to find myself since I had no science background. I got it four years ago through a temp agency and it is GREAT! Not only the job but we are treated as professional adults (not micro managed) and it is just plain FUN! They just don't put up with vulgar talk, backbiting, etc. They treat ability to get along with others as important as job skills.

Actually this weekend I am busy updating my resume to put in a bid on a fantastic promotion! Of course no guarantees I will GET it but my supervisor is 100% supportive and encouraged me to give it a shot! Sooooo... we shall see!

I'm an Helpdesk Analyst for a data systems company: I basically get calls everyday from our clients, I log them into a system and assign them to specific technicians depending on the jobs and problems. I follow up calls and often have to use my baseball bat to get those lazy *** techies to do their jobs. Its a little stressfull.
I like my job 75% of the time, I would love to get a more-hands on job soon. :)

This is not my forever job, but I enjoy it. I'm a cardiac monitor technician at a large hospital. I enjoy my work, like my coworkers and it's low stress. I'm also a student, finishing my pre reqs for the nursing program.

I'm a tarot reader and I love my job! I find it completely fascinating. I do most of my readings online and its wonderful to get feedback from people about how readings have helped.

I know its an odd type of a job but I love it and do it to the very best of my ability.

I have loved reading about everyone's jobs. I can't say I have had a job that I have totally loved. Then again I don't think I have found my true calling for what I want to do with my life as far as a job goes.

I say my current job was just temp. I am pretty much done but filling in a couple of days for the office manager while she goes out of town. I work as the Client Service Coordinator for H & R Block. It's ok.

My previous job I was at for almost 6 years. I worked for a major convenience store in Vermont. I was the Asst Manager and I can say for the most part I like my job alot. It was great to get to meet all the people that came in. Loved my regular customers. They were like family to me. I sure do miss them now that I am living in Iowa. I can say I don't miss getting sick. I have found that I haven't been sick this winter and I can say partly due to the fact that I don't work in retail.

Dream job. Not sure. Win the lottery and be a stay at home mom. Sadly to say it's going to take 2 incomes right now for us to get on our feet. Maybe in the future I can stay at home or maybe go back to school. I do have to say working with people is the best part of any job for me. I love dealing with people. Waiting to see what my next job will be and how much will I really like it? Who knows.
