This is a tough time of year for everyone, the time where most New Year weightloss resolutions get kicked to the curb. So, in an effort to keep everyone motivated (including myself) I thought we could come up with a list to remind us of why we're doing this.

I know similiar lists have been done before, but that was then. This is now:

I'll start-

1. To be healthy again
2. Summer fun in the sun! Bathing suit, here I come!
3. Highschool reunion
4. Marathon in May
5. To wear normal cloths and look cute again

Your turn!

You know, I really have gotten a little lost as to why I'm doing this. Especially now that I've lost a total of 34 lbs & 3 pant sizes...I might be below my ideal weight for all I know...and I'm still not really happy with my body.
* To look good in a bathing suit this summer (main problems: belly & legs)
* To handle my emotions without depending on food
* To feel good about myself

1. To have a long, healthy life
2. To be a fit, fun, energetic future mommy
3. To be athletic enough to run or bike in an organized race
4. To become an amateur fashionista
5. To feel (physically) normal
6. To overcome my addiction to food

1) I know it's superficial, but I really want to look good. It's hard living in southern california with all the beautiful women. I want to turn heads for once.
2) I want to just be in incredible shape. I want to be able to run for ages without feeling like a fish out of water *GASP, GASP*. I want to be able to carry heavy things myself and not depend on men. I want other women in the weight room to be impressed by me.
3) I want to be healthy. Which I'm sure most people here would agree with.
4) I just want to feel good about myself. I want to hold my head up and wear a tank top or bathing suit and not feel ashamed. I'm sick of wearing something out then chickening out and covering up with a big sweatshirt.

1. I want to be healthy, get my blood pressure lowered (its not high but could be better), and I want to avoid diabetes and having a sore back or sore knees.
2. Stamina and endurance. I know that I cannot work as a nurse when I graduate unless I get my body in shape :strong: (whether or not I lose a lot of weight)
3. I don't want to be this fat when I graduate in May 2007 :goodscale:
4. I want to look as good as I feel. :sunny:
5. I want to be sexy for my husband
6. If we are going to have kids in the future, I don't want to be a high risk pregnancy
7. I want to feel better about my external appearance
8. I don't want food to control me anymore
9. I don't want to waste anymore of my life being miserable in my body; I don't want to stay fat just because it is "comfortable"
10. There are some people who think I can't or won't do it (who are fatter than me) and I would really love to show them up.

1. I don't have health issues yet and I want to keep it that way.

2. I want to prove to myself that I can do this - I have always been able to start, but have never been able to finish. By now I have usually given up - not this time.

3. I want heads to turn and mouths to fall open.

4. I want to start spending money on cute clothes instead of always buying things for my house.

Great idea!

1. To be able to chase my son around and not dread it.
2. To FEEL better...both physically and emotionally.
3. Watch out mall....I am going to need a new wardrobe! :)
4. Avoid having diabetes (high risk on father's side)
5. Lower my cholesterol & be healthier
6. To see the look of shock on the Dr's face when I step on the scale this September at my yearly apt. Having weighed in at my highest last year, I want to show them my lowest THIS year.

I just wanted to say how great we're all doing! Look at those numbers ladies! Just from the first post until now we have lost together 207 pounds! That's one overweight person or two small people's worth in weight!

We rock!

This is a great topic!
*To feel sexier
*To be able to wear a size 14
*To not get freaked out about going out in public out of fear
*Being able to find nice clothes without paying $80 for a pair of jeans!
*To buy a bathing suit :o Haven't had one in like 5 years!!!
*To be able to do any sort of physical thing without having to worry about if I'll be able to handle it.
*To not have to worry about fitting somewhere.
*I want to be able to get a job when I graduate, and I know they discriminate against a lot of fat people.
*To go to the beach, and lay out in the sun!

I could go on and on, but there's a few things!!! :D

Good idea!

1. To be able to do things with my kids before they are too old to want to, like swimming and going to amusement rides.
2. To be able to buy cute clothes anywhere.
3. To be proud of how I look.
4. To live a long and healthy life.

I may think of others, but these are the most important ones!

To be fit
To be healthy
To never be scared of going to the doctors because they will want to weight me
To be in control
Because I'm not the person who got to 260lb any more, and I don't want to be ever again.
