Yes, you have to go into 'Food Explorer' and click on the new food icon at the top. Then click on the ingredients tab and you can click and drag the ingredients into the window. You can use fitdays foods or you can custom each ingredient and get a more accurate count. Now, you will have to divide it in your chart. I enter my entire recipes as 1 serving then on the daily list chart I enter a serving of .17, which is 1/6th or 6 servings per recipe. Your recipe can produce as many servings you want, just divide 1 by the number of servings to get the correct amount.

Hope this helps.

This must only be in the full paid version, because I can't find anything like this in my free version

EDIT: nevermind, I see that she mentioned in another thread that she downloaded FitDay PC!

Nutridiary has a similar feature(it is the "meal" feature) , but it's in the free version, in case anyone is interested in checking it out.

That's the main reason I switched to Nutridiary.

Wowsers!

I don't do a lot of *scratch* cooking, so this is the first time I tried making a recipe. I made soup this weekend and did all the calculations by hand (). This is sooooooo much easier!

I do wish I had the capability to determine what a "serving" is, but I just added the serving equivalent in the Name (Homemade Chick Noodle Soup cup = 0.10), so it's all good.

I love coming to 3FC. I learn something new every day! Keeps it all so exciting!

When I cook from scratch, I dole out the servings into preportioned containers, then I create a new meal in nutridiary that represents a serving. A bit of a pain, but it's great having everything portioned out in subsequent meals... I do a lot of soups/chili/red beans etc...

Nori, I'm glad you're liking nutridiary!
