Question Carrots and Butternut on Phase 1

I've just started Phase 1 (day 2) and it seems to be going well, but I wonder if having carrots and butternut will be a huge thing. I really enjoy them and if I can't eat them it makes my choices a bit restricted. Also can we have baby corn on Phase 1?

Thanking you all in anticipation

Meg

I would not eat carrots or butternut squash in phase 1. It is only 2 weeks and then you can have them. Corn (and I think that includes baby corn) is on the foods to avoid or eat rarely even in phase 2 so I wouldn't eat it very much in phase 2 and definitely not in phase 1.

Yes, the point of P1 is to get starches and certain carbs, even good ones, out of your system. Carrots and butternut squash are good for you but you need to keep them out of P1. It's very important to do P1 properly. There's tons of variety on P1. Jsut check out the recipe section. It may be more restrictive but definitely makes up for it in the variety of different dishes and recipes you can have.
