I am starting atkins today and so far have done good. I will have tons of questions cause I am not sure exactly how this diet works, but was told that many have lost a lot of weight while on it. So I will be seeing you guys around. -Sandra:carrot:

Hi, I've been doing Atkins a month now. I'm pretty new around here though. Good luck!

Hi ilovemike, and Welcome!! If you're choosing the Atkins way of life, the first thing you should do is grab a copy of the book, it's very informational and explains WHY we eat that way :)

GOOD LUCK!!!

Sandra - get the book. It's important to know how the diet works. I have already twice, but needed to remind myself so I got another copy. If you don't know how it works, you will have a hard time succeeding and will be more prone to quit! :D

Hi guys and thanks for the welcome. I do have the book, and it is going to take me a few times of reading it cause I am a person who does not understand what they read, but I pretty much get the jist of things. So with eating this way and throwing the gym into the mix, I am hoping for some big changes.

Oh and Susan it is my husband who is in Japan, he is in the Navy and he will be there for the next 17 months and I am hoping to shed this weight so when I see him again, he can go WOW!

Sandra, I also like the Web site. I like reading the articles and there are some great recipes. The cheese and sausage stuffed mushrooms are fantastic. I make them for parties and no one knows they are low carb and they go fast.
