Hey all,
Hope everyone is doing well today. Ok....I've been battling with my hair for awhile now. I'm wanting to have a cut/style that makes my face look un-big melon headish like..lol. Anyways...I have been hating my hair lately...and have started to grow it out. Lastnight..we went out and I decided to curl it and flip the ends out a little...and you know what..I actually sort of liked it. So....here's the poll.....should I leave it at this length and do the flippy thing...or should I just continue to grow it out to just past my shoulders and have it straight with no layers or a few long layers at the bottom?...(see pictures below..I hope they work). I'm torn???? It's amazing...I never really cared about my hair, looks or anything until I started losing weight. Now..if I could just get off this 178 plateau...uggggggggghhhhh..it's killing me!!! On a side note...one of my friends guessed me at 155 lastnight...yahoooooooo....big time NSV for me!!!!!!!!

Hugs to all...
Olivia

I vote for keeping it shorter with layers and flippiness. :)

Thanks honey....that's kind of what I'm thinking too. :) I think the layers take the focus off my big melon head..lol.

I like the photo on the left. You look nice. You don't look (in that photo) like you need to lose any more weight either. Obviously I can't see your belly or hips, but you look good. Do you know your body fat percentage? Sometimes people have unrealistically low ideas of what they want to weigh. If you have a lot of muscle, that weight in your head may be way too low.

I just took a fat percentage test at a site that estimates it by your measurements and weight and age and height. It told me that I have about 169 pounds of lean muscle bone organs etc. That is a lot more than I would have thought. IF true then on top of that I should have about 20 percent fat, which would put my goal weight a lot higher than I would expect.

Why don't you check it out and see what percentages you come up with? http://www.healthcentral.com/cooltools/nutrition/homebodyfattest.aspx

I like the right one better - it has more character and is more "fun."

I like the hair style in your picture. Shannon from Lost has a nice style but the curlier flip looks good on you.

That style really suits you. :) I vote you keep it shorter with that volume. The other one looks a bit "flat" to me.

If you want to de-emphasize your jawline, you want to have some volume in your hair up top. Somehow, that brings everything up and draws people to look at your eyes. When I first went to get my hair cut, it was long, down to the middle of my back, all one length. Each time I've gotten it cut since that fateful day, I've had it progressively shorter. Now, it's very short and I love it! I get so many compliments on my hair the way it is now, even from strangers. I'm a little biased about short hair now. LOL!

This is my driver's license photo. Aside from my being some 60+ pounds heavier, the long hair really emphasized my round face. The second shot was taken in 8/2004 and the third in 1/2006. It's shorter than that now. :dizzy:
