Sonoma Diet and the Mediterranean Diet - hearts of palm

I'm still waiting for the book. Can anyone tell me if hearts of palm are allowed? I buy little cans of them at the dollar store and I'm addicted to them.

Yes they are fine. I don't know how much sodium is in those things, but that is always something to be aware of when you eat canned foods. Sonoma doesn't require low sodium, but it's always a good idea to keep that in mind since most of us (me included) eats far mroe than we need to.
