Question Suggestions for Stretching

I have been working out at the gym and incorporating weight training and kickboxing into my routine, but I find that my hip flexors and hamstrings are really tight. Any suggestions on some stretchs that might help loosen me up?

I'm a bad girl and wasn't stretching enough, but now am building stretching into my routine.

I go on the bike for 5 minutes and then stretch. I do a range of different stretches working from the neck down. I then repeat the sretches after my workout. Stretching is a bit hard to describe in a post!! If you have a look in your local library, or indeed on the net, you will get lots of ideas for stretches.

I booked one of my trainers at the gym and she took me for a half hour stretching session. It was really helpful, and I am having less problems with my hamstrings and my glutes now.

You might try adding some yopga into your routine. You don't have to have a video, but a good yoga deck or book can show you some great stretches which can be added into yuour cardio and weight routine. I got The yoga deck put out by Barnes and Nobles bookstores, but Rodney Yee has one out as well.

Karen Voigt has a wonderful stretching dvd called "Pure and Simple Stretch." I'm sure there are some good ideas on line, also. I think it's very important to stretch after every workout and cardio session.
