Default Any idea what I did wrong?

Last night I was doing lunges on the smith machine and hurt my left quad. About my 10th rep it starting burning/pulling so I didn't do anymore (or my last set). I was only doing 20 pounds so I don't think I had too much weight. I did do them last in my routine. I'm wondering if I stepped back too far with that leg? Last night it was really hurting, like I couldn't put any weight on it. This morning I skipped cardio to give it some rest. It's feeling ok now but I haven't done much. I was sooo worried I was going to be out for a week or more. I just want to make sure it doesn't happen again! So any ideas?

Thanks!

No idea, but had to comment on your new avatar - you certainly changed! Was it you who's DH works for CourtTV? The outcome of our trial was unexpected, no? I'm sure she's guilty, but I'm not on the jury!

Hehe, yea a little. That's actually my future husband (I wish!), just don't tell my current husband

No, sorry. Not me with the CourtTV.

We talk and talk and talk about planning ahead. Cardio tomorrow, weights on Friday, in my next life, the next time I go shopping, the next time I get married to an Olympic athlete .....

I don't know, but the Smith machine does have a reputation as a knee wrecker, because it forces you to lift in an unnatural motion.

Why not just grab a couple of 10# dumbells for your lunges?
