Default Weekly Journal Buddy Thread (Feb. 13-19)

Good morning, everyone! Hope everyone's weekend went well. I finished my week of calorie cycling with an average of 1785 calories per day, and my goal was 1800, so I am right on track! Of course, the weekends are my "high" days, so I had Subway and Arby's and smoothies and whatnot, so I'll not go on about it here, but now it's Monday (a "low" day for me), so here's my plan:
  • 1 cup granola cereal w/1 cup skim milk
  • Campbell's chicken n' stars "soup at hand"
  • 2 small wraps (La Tortilla whole wheat tortillas, ff sour cream, raw spinach, and sliced turkey breast)
  • leftover whole wheat pasta (the spiral shape--I forget what it's called ) with homemade sauce (no-salt-added tomato sauce, tomato paste, diced tomatoes, turkey sausage, and frozen chopped spinach smoothed out in my Magic Bullet and mixed in--sssh, don't tell Jeff it's healthy! ) and about 1/4 cup of Italian mixed shredded cheese
Total for the day per Fitday: 1062 (that's a lot of yummy food for only 1062--I double-checked my Fitday to be sure )

wow, jilly, that is a lot of food for that many calories! good job.

Here's my plan for today:

2 pieces wheat toast with peanut butter
1.5 c minestrone soup
3 cups mixed greens salad (no dressing - I use the juice from the tomatoes for the dressing)
2 small turkey and cheese wraps from Subway (only 230 cals each!)
1 small bag of baked lays

fitday total: 1118

I really want to be at 285 by Valentine's Day (that is, the Wednesday morning weigh in after V-Day - that would be so awesome!)

Good luck everyone!

Ended up having some V-Day chocolates yesterday, so I bumped my calories for the day up to 1251--still not bad

As for today...
  • granola cereal w/skim milk
  • Morningstar Farms veggie burger on wheat bun
  • instant teriyaki lo mein noodle stuff (Jeff's choice for V-Day dinner)
I'm sure I'll find some junk food along the way, so what's listed only adds up to about 863 calories. I'll update tomorrow morning

Exercise - 35mins eliptical - 400 cals, abs

Have a great day everyone!

Ugh. Totally emotional eating from being semi-depressed, plus TOM cravings. Talk about unhealthy choices! I can console myself with the knowledge that in the past, unhealthy eating days were even more unhealthy, though. And it's only twice this month my calories have gone over 2000. And my average is still okay for the week.

Resolution: Better nutrition tomorrow! Even if I eat as many calories. Better nutrition.

Breakfast: Raisin bran and 2% milk
Lunch: Quarter pound cheeseburger and small fries (about 3 oz)
Snack: Jelly beans (1 oz) and whopping big fries (about 8.5 oz)
Dinner: Nothing (stuffed from the french fries)

Calories: 2062
No exercise

SAPF--YES! Rotini! That was it!

Rabid--good for you on only going over 2000 twice all month! I go over 2000 at least twice a week on a regular basis

As for me, I successfully avoided all candy yesterday even when I went to the grocery store after work. I bought some frozen egg rolls to go with the instant lo mein I made for dinner, so I had 2 vegetable ones last night, which brought my calories for the day up to 1204 (I also added regular mayo to my burger at lunch, so that bumped me up a little, too--darn those condiments!)...overall, a good day

As for today, I'm planning on having:
  • yogurt
  • Boca burger on wheat bun w/Miracle Whip
  • Healthy Choice smoked sausage w/2 more veggie egg rolls
That's only 840 calories, so I'll be sure to come back and add anything else I have later

ugh - after totally screwing up yesterday with pizza and chocolate, I am back on track today and back to my roughly 1400 calorie lifestyle!

Today:
.5 cup of scrambled eggs
4 strips of bacon
5 oz tuna steak with 1/4 c of avocado and tomato relish
1.5 c green beans
Turkey Burger Wrap from Ruby Tuesdays
side caesar salad
1/2 brownie

and of course over a gallon of water

total of 1250 calories!!

Jillegal/Bday girl

Here is the cheesecake recipe I promised

1 15 oz. container ricotta
2 teaspoons lemon zest
2 (8 oz.) packages of cream cheese
1 cup splenda
4 large eggs

Combine ricotta and lemon zest. Process/blend until ricotta is smoother. Add splenda and creem cheese process/blend until creamy. Add eggs one at a time and continue to blend. Place in cake pan and bake at 350 on middle rack until golden brown (60-75 minutes) Turn off oven, open door and let sit for 30minutes. Refrigerate 6 hours until cold and firm.

Have struggled the last few days. Today has been better.
