14 days of induction? Ok. I think I can do that. I've been eating low, and I think I've been under 20 grams a day, but maybe I should start counting for awhile just to be sure.

You can use www.fitday.com to track your carbs

I HATE fitday. I've used it before and it is just too complicated trying to find out how much and what to enter, blah blah. I will just use my little book. Easy to estimate with it.

I don't like fitday either. I use the carb counter on lowcarbfriends.com or on atkins.com and write down EVERYTHING that goes in my mouth and the carbs and keep track that way.

I belong to a different site that tracks calories and carbs for me along with protein and fat.

So far today, I've had an Atkins bar. Not too good, but I'm just not hungry and my throat hurts. I can't have chicken broth because it has gluten in it so that doesn't work for me.

Okay...here's what I've had today so far (or am in the process of eating now)

BFST: coffee w/splenda and heavy cream (2 carbs)
chicken breast, slice of bacon, w/sourcream sauce (leftovers) (2 carbs)

LNCH: 1 C. salad /ranch dress (3 carbs)
Chicken breast w/black olives (VERY minimal black sliced black olives so I'm counting this as 0)
green beans w/tomatoes and onions but I'm not eating the onions (3.5 carbs)
asparagus wrapped in prociutto (1 carb)
cheese/pepperoni (.6)

So, that would be 12.1 carbs today so far. How does it look? I know it seems like alot of food but we have lunch catered here (my job) every Friday so I picked out what I can eat.

OKAY.. all you induction people.. I have been doing really well, no cravings or anything.. until my daughter just brought home her box of the "worlds finest chocolate" bars.. PLUS.. my friend that sold me Girl Scout Cookies came by tonight and dropped them off today.. peanut butter ones.. yummmmmmmmmmm oh my god.. this is rough.. too much sweet stuff in my house!!! Goodness.. i truly feel like an addict now.. i swear craving a ciggy or a drink could not be this bad.

So here I am.. writing to you guys, trying REALLY hard to get that stuff out of my mind.. ive completed the day with about 17 carbs.. so i dont want to screw it up now.. i just snacked on pork rinds for supper.. a little salty so i may retain a bit of water, but its my TOM so thats probably gonna happen anyway..

Maybe its because my carb count has been so low, thats why im cravng the sweets? or is it cause its my TOM and i usually crave sweet and salty around that time too.. ?? hmmm... Im locking myself here in my bedroom and not coming out till morning.. at which time i have a date for breakfast for an excellant omelate at this little hole in the wall place downtown.. YUM..

Focus on the goal.. Focus on the goal..Focus on the Goal.. Focus on the Goal..

you are doing well don't give up now. I too am wanting something "sweet". Not sugary, but low carb sweet. Have you seen the Torani syrups? They have them as liquid Splenda with flavorings. I suppose they aren't induction foods, but they certainly save the day for me when I'm craving something sweet. There are two types of Torani though, the kind with sugar and the kind without, so be careful if you are going to buy any.
