I did 5 more miles in Januay and 3 for today in Feb. took the puppers for a walk as we seem to be having a mild winter, sun is shinning and the air is brisk. Perfet!

I have done some upper body and abs but I do not have my cardio (yick ptewy) in yet today. Cardio (yick ptewy) is my least favourite!

Today is February 1st and it is 3;52 pm here. I'm starting NOW. Sigh. So lazy, I am.

Fat Melanie
02-01-2006, 04:57 PM
Sigh. I'll be honest. That lasted like, 5 minutes, until my brother came home from school with like 5 of his friends, and I've got nowhere to do my exercises now. I'm DEFINITELY going to do it tonight.

Fat Melanie
02-01-2006, 05:05 PM
That sounds like such an excuse, doesn't it? I mean, so what if they are here, I could always go take a walk. But ... sigh. I'm lazy. I'd rather just stay in and do some dancing or do a stepaerobics video. Can't since they're here, though. I resolve here firmly to do one hour of dancing in my room when they are all gone, and from now on do my exercising in the MORNING!!!!! So here's my new accountability:

Tonight Feb 1st, 1 hour.
Tomorrow morning, Feb 2nd, 1 hour

FunMom!

I would really love to join in here...I need to be accountable!

I pulled something in my shoulder last night so no TAEBO today. I just finished the WATP 4 mile video and am heading in to do abs on my Ab Dolly as soon as I get off the computer. So, that's it for today!

Did WATP 3 mile on Monday, and WATP 2 mile yesterday. Today will be some more WATP, and I really need to do weights but it seems like I'm only good at doing either cardio or weights. I am signed up on President's Challenge and this is the first time I'm coming close to hitting the goal (6 completed stars). I've 2 completed, 1 failed (3/5), and am on the next one now. Good luck gals I know you can do it this month!

Well after 2 weeks of slacking :p , I started again Monday. I did 30 minutes on my treadmill, and a circuit strength training exercise from Shape magazine, it's about 10 minutes. This morning, Wednesday, I did a 10 minute dvd that came with my scale, and I plan to do the same routine I did Monday, tonight when I get home.

Whoooo hoooo!! I went and did an hour and 20 minutes of exercise after sitting around lazily all day and complaining about it! I did a lot of running, brisk walking, marching, jumping... I even did a few glute and thigh exercises, and some ab crunches, and some pushups. Woop woop.

srmb60
02-02-2006, 01:18 PM
Woop, woop is right. That's very good!
I walked outside today. It's still very unseasonably warm. I swung them boots at over 4 miles an hour for 35 minutes.

Yaaay SusanB! *cheer* :D

Okay folks, as soon as I clean up (which should also burn some calories, lol) and make dinner, I'm going to do a 30 minute Leslie Sansone tape, then another 30 minutes of running. I hold myself accountable, if I do not complete this then I shall be very honest and post when I get a chance. :D

Padding Ilene! Lots of padding. Remember my little yellow bikini from this spring? The cups are all padding, only what sticks out the top was actually Susan ;)

Here's my exercise accountability. I did a bunch of research with my fitday this morning and here's what I've found. I don't try hard enough.

Oh NO! It's all up to me ?!?!?

Fat Melanie
02-03-2006, 12:55 PM
Hahah, I want that cleavage too! I love me some padded bras though.

Okay honestly, I only did 30 minutes of exercise yesterday, and then my friend came over unexpectedly and we went and hung out so I didn't complete the other 30 minutes. So today I'm holding myself accountable for 1 hour and 30 minutes of exercise, to make up for yesterday.

I don't try hard enough either. I really, really don't. I could have had all of this weight lost months ago if I tried hard enough! But we do what we can and must give ourselves a pat on the back for our accomplishments. Yay us! :D

Mind if I jump in? :) This thread seems really great!

I was doing great and doing all my planned workouts in January.. and now school's gotten hectic and I wasn't able to work out for most of this week. I need some accountability and I need to start weight training! I don't want to be a smaller, squishy version of myself.

Let's see.. today I did 45 minutes of Yourself!Fitness and some yoga afterwards. I'm getting back on track!

Friday and Saturday I was horribly busy. Friday and Saturday I did not do any exercise nor did I follow my diet carefully (though I'm sure I went below the amount of calories I was supposed to consume, which isn't healthy either because it slows down your metabolism.) Today is Sunday, I am going to TRY to do Leslie Sansone's tape twice, or once and then the following 30 minutes I'll run around the yard or something. I screwed up!!!!!

02-05-2006, 05:43 PM
:carrot: I was not able to post yesterday but I did walk for 45 minutes and went to the pool and swam for 45 minutes. Today I also swam for 45 minutes and noticed there is a path near the pool. If I like it, it will be easier for me to go to just one place and get everything done.:carrot:

shovelled snow today!

That's gotta count for something! We had the most awful day yesterday - warmed up to nearly 40F and everything melted, well the top stuff did, leaving water over ice! Plus it rained/snowed most of the day. ICK. Today is wonderful, high 20's F, sunshine, just trecherous walking still.

Oh, exercise. Sat I did a 90 minute racquetball clinic which was really fun! Then yesterday I did a mile :tread: followed by a body pump class :strong: which is a killer. I do lots more reps - though with lighter weights - than I do on my own. I do LOTS more squats, lunges, and crunches than usual too. Needless to say I am nicely sore today. :carrot:

TAEBO DONE! WOO HOO:carrot:

I have an AB DOLLY that I keep in the laundry room closet ("out of sight - out of mind").... well, I've brought it out and am keeping it under my scrapbooking table now so that it is clearly visible. I have a new rule...every time I enter the laundry room (which is quite a few times every day with a family this size) I have to do reps. This is the third day and my abs are really feeling it. It works upper and lower. This better start paying off!

Must shower. Hope you are all having great workouts! Glad to hear you were heading to the gym Ilene!

Oh, and yes, I can speak from experience since we get pleanty of it here - that snow shoveling DOES count! LOL;)

I think I'd like to keep an eye on this thread as well... exercise accountability is definitely something I need!

Nikki005: I am right there with you, it nearly breaks my heart to climb on that elliptical every day and I can barely survive the 20 minutes, but it just has to be done....

I always read these diet boards of people who "get addicted" to exercise and those who really enjoy it once they get going or make it a habit. That has SO never happened to me. I never get that post-workout endorphin rush I always hear about. Bummer... So, I just have to shut up and do it anyway! :wl:

Happy Friday!

Lala -- I love your name and your avatar BTW! Anyways... You WILL I promise get to like exercising when you start seeing results and to get results you have to keep at it. I never EVER thought in a MILLION years that I would love  running, HONEST, I swear!! I have been exercising for 20 years and would always do some form of ho hum cardio, whether it be aerobic classes, biking, rollerblading. I always did weights and loved that so I had no problems there...So one day, for some odd reason, I started jogging on the treadmill at the gym at intervals of 30 seconds to start, because I wast bored of walking, then 1 minute, then whoa I went up to 2-5 mins, then BAM !!! That endorphin high hit me  ... Now, my cardio of choice has been running for the last 2.5 years I love it ... So my point is that you just have to find something that you are passionate about, it could take you 20 years like it took me , hopefully not though, but you just have to keep at it... Good luck!!

Today I ran 2.5k to the gym, it was extremely cold, I worked on chest, then thank goodness DS was at the gym , I got a ride home ... It looked so beautiful and sunny out too, it was the windchill that got me...

hi girls!
i have been looking for somewhere to post my activity. this is a nice, well-rounded group. today i circuit trained for 20 mins, ellipticalled 15 and jogged a mile.

i am right between overweight and obese for my height, so i really need to get busy...
my food has been pretty good, as i am working for the next few months from 4pm to midnight. I cant have food at my desk. I just have to make it thru my breaks and lunch without making bad food choices....much easier than making good food choices here at home. i homeschool my kids, so i am here all day...in my kitchen...ya get the picture, i am sure!
i have been going to the gym almost every day since i joined on 2/17...actually i have missed 2 days since the 17th. i try to workout/run 6 days a week.

glad i found you all here, and keep up the great work.
see ya tomarrow!

Somehow I'm a day behind but... Monday I did AM stretches and crunches, then PM stretches and 25 minutes on the elliptical. The elliptical workout wasn't as intense as it needed to be, my right leg kept cramping up. The stretching helps, but I think I need to add a walk around the block first to really warm things up.
