THURSDAY: Today is Time for Us Thursday so give yourself just a little pampering today!

Morning gals! I am happy to report another 4pter! Jack has lost 4 lbs so we are doing something right!

I have a caffeine headache from ****, which is making me a little nauseaous, but it will probably go away today.

I got the baby blanket finished. As soon as I finish the booties, I will post a picture of them. I think my yellow blanket was prettier, but Jack really likes this one so I guess it is ok.

Have to go and start my morning chores.

Afternoon All - I woke up this morning with bad cramps, uggghhh, got my TOM, but at least after not having one for four months things are sort of back to normal. I have had two four pointers on Tues and Weds, I was going to go to the gym after work today but with the cramps and bloating I am not feeling like it, so I will do well just to stay OP...:)

Faye - Sorry to hear about your headache, I know exactly how that is since I went through it a couple of weeks ago ( and today with my TOM headache ), hope it gets better soon - the first week is so rough I know.
That is great that Jack has lost 4 pounds already!

Hello to everyone!! Better get back to work.

Hi all,

Well feeling ill turned out to be a massive migraine aswell as TOM wiping me out physically and mentally. I'm feeling a bit better today though, but had to have a couple of days break from the gym as I was exhausted.

I am excited that in a weeks time I will be able to buy these sexy knee high boots that I've been saving up for - they are specially made for those with wider calves and are not cheap, but I am worth it!

Also, I had to buy a new gym kit and I got Reebok pants in a size 16!! (US 12) They are a tiny bit snug, but the 18's (US 14) were far too big so I am pretty happy! When I started the gym 6 months ago I was wearing size 24 gym pants (US 20) - so I've gone down 4 sizes - woo hoo! I don't give a fig what the scales are saying..........I'm shrinking!!!

Speaking of which, I am going to weigh in tomorrow and then lock the scales away! I don't think I've lost weight - I've been avoiding the scales during TOM, but that's finished now.

Must fly - dinner is served!

Love Amanda x

:carrot: :carrot: :strong: :jig: :bravo: :cb: Way to go Amanda! It's always thrilling to fit into a smaller size and you have worked so hard to get there.

Faye, you and Jack are going to get there, too. Good start.

I had 3 pointer yesterday - pesky exercise. It's really hard to get in after working and caring for my husband. Maybe I should get some credit for that.

01-19-2006, 04:21 PM

Carri :bravo: :bravo:
Faye :bravo:
Susan :cp:

Let's hear it for Amanda and her smaller bum!!!!!! :hat:  :grouphug: :woo: :cb: :carrot:

Jack just called and said he has to work late, which screws up dinner so I am going to have to eat a snack. Ah, well, that is why I kind of bank some calories so that I can do that if I need to.

I just got the new Just My Size catalogue and they have some gorgeous swimsuits for this year. I really am thinking of buying a new one even though I am not going to Vegas this year. I swim everyday once the pool is open and have been wearing them out year to year. Sounds like a good excuse anyhow!

Well, I am on my last bootie and it is about 75% done so need to get it finished. They are sooooo cute, I want another grandbaby!

Faye :)

FRIDAY: Today is Fabulous Friday Follies and our folly question for this week is, what is something when you were a kid that you remember REALLY getting into trouble for?

I got a 4pter. Be back a little later ladies!

Faye :)

Only got 2 points yesterday - stuck with my food. Too much coffee and too little exercise. I think I'm going to make an appointment for a physical. I am so tired all the time, just no energy, GERD is getting worse and I had some twinges in my chest yesterday, not really pain and it could be from the GERD, that has happened before.

01-21-2006, 08:47 AM
I have to be absolutely losing my freaking mind. I posted here this morning, but must not have submitted it! DUH! I had said that I got up early because I went to the bathroom and came back with the animals on my side so to keep Jack from being disturbed I came downstairs. That was at 4:30 AM! Brother, what a stupe! I got another 4pts for yesterday and bad girl, got on the scales. I have lost 12 lbs! All those soft drinks!

Faye :bravo: :bravo:
Susan :dancer:

Susan: Hope your GERD is better. I know how it can be so disrupting and uncomfortable. Hope dh is doing well! I think of the two of you so often.

I have my workout done and all my downstairs chores so I am going to knit for awhile. I am making myself some slippers out of leftover yarn from Christmas. I wear socks in the house all the time and wear holes in them so fast so thought I would just make a couple pair of footie type slippers.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Amanda and Carri: Hope the TOM is better.

Julie: Hope the skating and writing is coming along

LeeAnn: Hope you and hubby are finding a new house you have fallen in love with!

Faye :)

Hello ladies,

I got another 4 points yesterday - now TOM is out of the way I feel so much better and have alot more energy.

I weighed in this morning and I've lost 3lb - I'm hoping that that will now trigger me into 'weight loss mode' and the weight will keep on dropping! Anyway, the scales are locked away now - till the 1st Feb, then again for a whole month! It's a relief, but I also know I will feel a bit lost without them for a while!

I'm going out for a long walk in the countryside tomorrow with some friends - last time I went walking was a few years ago and I had to stop and sit down because my chest was pounding (it was up a big hill) - this time I'm hoping I'll leave my two friends for dust (they are smokers!). Part of me is still worried I won't be able to keep up, but that's just me being silly really as I am probably the fittest of all of us now - even if I weigh alot more than them.

Have you heard about the whale in the Thames? - it's been on the news all day as they are trying to rescue it and take it out to sea. I get really upset if I see any animal suffering, so I'm pleased that they have managed to lift it onto a barge now and give it medical attention. I just hope thay can release it back into the deep sea as it has really captured the nations hearts! Whales are magnificent creatures and it's been mad to have one swimming up the Thames river!

FAYE - 12lb loss - WOW!!! :carrot:  :bravo: :cb: :cp:  I hope that spurs you on to have another good week! Well done!

Hi to everyone else!

Love Amanda x

:hug:All right Amanda! You are burning the floor with your hot self!

But Susan.. I think looking after ANY man should be worth points! LOL :D

So anyhow, we've found a house that hubby loves. It was one of the first ones, but he's so worried that he'll make the wrong decision that we looked at 10 houses in total.

They were all wonderful and solid houses, but he kept nitpicking them until the first one sounded the best. So finally I put my foot down and told him that we are putting an offer in on the one he loves so much. :) He wasn't very upset about it. I think he just didn't want to be the one to say it. LOL I love him so much!

Also, our 5th anniversary is coming up. I was teasing him and asked him if after 7 years he is finally tired of me yet. The smarty pants said that sometimes he wished he could wake up next to a redhead... you guessed it! he went out with the guys (and doesn't come home until very late) and when he woke up the next morning...

It was a pain in the butt to do and is temporary (washes out after 28 washes- faster if I don't use the colorsafe shampoo) but the look on his face was so worth it! So it looks like I'm a redhead for about a month... :)

Also, our baby- Deanna (10 mos) took her first step the other day. Yahoo!!!!! I didn't get to see my 2 yr old's since I was at work for it, so I guess it was my turn. She hasn't seen fit to repeat the performance, but now we know that she knows how. ;)

Wow, I feel like I have nothing but good news going around like crazy..!

Can't wait to come back and tell you that we have a house.

Ok, so it's Sunday, but for my Friday Folly...

When I was about 2 or 3 my sister and I were at or friend's house (just next door) and when it was time to go home, I didn't want to let go of the toy I was holding so I took it with me.

My mother asked me where I got it and I told her that it as "mine now". Of course, she knew where it came from so she called her friend (a policeman) to come over and help her out...

She had the two of us pack a paper lunchbag with a set of underwear, one toy, and a half of a peanut butter sandwich each while she explained what happens to people who steal. Then she "tearfully" led us out onto the front porch to wait for the police to come take us away.

Her friend showed up in the policecar and listened to us give a crying explanation of what we did and how we were so sorry and that we would never fo it again and he promised to give us just one more chance to be good.

Well... i still remember it and I'm almost 30, so it must have made an impression.. ha ha!! :D

Good morning gals!

Amanda :bravo:
Faye :dancer: (I probably didn't go over, but I ate a lot of cherries yesterday so am not giving myself the pts)

Amanda: I KNOW that hill is going to be NOTHING for you to climb. If you can do the Spin classes, you can climb that hill! Can't wait to hear how it went!

LeeAnn: I was a natural blond in my younger life...Anyway, several years ago we went and saw the movie The Thomas Crown Affair with Pierce Brosnan (YUM) and Rene Russo. I leaned over to Jack and ask how he would like me as a redhead and I can't actually say what he said to me! So, like you I dyed it. People loved it so much, I wore it that way for probably 6 years. I only quit when I decided to let my natural gray grow out (actually sort of white) Jack as they say in the old days vavavavoomed about it! When we were looking to buy, we sat down and made a list of pros and cons of each house, then took the list and scratched off houses with the most serious cons (ie, no garage over something like ugly wallpaper) then decided on the house that was left. After all that was said and done, we ended up buying this condo because is was CHEAP and we didn't have to do any yard work. Not the best decision considering all the things that are going wrong with it, but it is a work in progress! Jack just has to keep making money at the casinos so we can get the more expensive work done!!!

I never did tell my folly. My younger sister and I are 2 years apart and when we were kids lived in this house that sat on a small hill. On the left side of the house was a big open lot we kids used to play kickball etc in. Anyway, the brat next door, talked us into going to the bathroom outside next to the hill. Of course, SHE didn't participate. We were only around 6-7 at the time. Unfortunately, the lady across the street saw us and called my mom. She brought us in the house in front of her TUPPERWARE PARTY and whipped us both. I never did pee outside again....:lol3:

Everyone have a good day. I need to get on the treadmill and it isn't going to be pleasant. We are in the middle of a storm and my joints are hurting. Ahh, well, what we must do to become beautiful.

01-22-2006, 10:04 AM
Lee, your mom is so F:censored:ed up!

I've gone for a walk the past 2 days, just to get dh out of the house and away from the computer. Lee, you can tell Dave I blame HIM for the fact that James doesn't come to be until 4:30 am anymore!!!! Stupid computer least all he has left to do is conquer spain and it'll be back to the farming game.

Today is my oldest daughter's birthday party, joy, more cake. I swear my "food season" doesn't end with new years day...cuz then it's my birthday, and then Catey's birthday and then a month later it's bens birthday. Oh well, just trying not to stress out, cuz that's when I eat the most.

I took both daughters to get their ears pierced yesterday. Sarah was so brave, she went first and didn't even flinch or cry or anything. Then about 5 minutes later she came over to me and said "I don't feel so well" and promptly spewed her breakfast about 10 feet across the store! :o I can't believe she didn't hit anything or anyone except the side of my purse, the place is so tiny! Poor baby, she just got her nerves so wound up, she had to release it somehow.

There was only one sales person in the whole store, trying to wait on customers and do the piercings, and then this happened! SHe was so awesome, very nonplussed about the whole thing. She said "at least you didn't faint, that happens all the time. I'd much rather you throw up!"
OMG! THe traumas of being a Claire's associate....I never thought of the consequences of being an ear piercer

Anyway, now they both feel like "big girls" cuz I told them they'd have to wait until they were 16 to get their ears pierced. My mom did the same thing, told us we'd have to wait and then one day she just said "hey, wanna go get your ears done?" It was a nice special mom/daughter time. And neither of us threw up!

Okay, gotta get going. Everyone have a great day! And WAY TO GO on those losses girls!!!!! That's so wonderful :cb: :flow2: :dancer: :ebike: :cloud9: :cheer: :balloons:

01-23-2006, 08:52 AM
MONDAY: Today is Mission Monday and our mission this week is a good 4 days of exercise. Let's really try hard to get in at least 4 days this week girls!

Faye :dancer:
Susan :cp: :cp: :cp:
Amanda :dancer: :dancer:

Got too much fat in yesterday, but I am ready for this week. I want to lose another 2-5 lbs this week so will have to work hard.

Julie: Could it be your hubby is addicted to RISK? When you said something about capturing Spain....My husband will spend HOURS playing that stupid game. I just don't get it personally. Looks like a yawn a minute to me. I usually go upstairs around 7 PM and watch tv until I go to bed at 9 or 9:30 and that whole time, Jack is in his office either playing RISK, Soduku, or Freecell. On Friday and Saturday night he will sit up until 2-3 and play. Doesn't have naked women so what is the draw????? :D

Well, I am a bit behind in getting on the treadmill so I guess I should get out of here. Will try and check in a little later and see if anyone has posted.

01-23-2006, 09:08 AM
Faye - way to go!

You all are getting on with the program - good for you.

I'm down .5 this week. Have had 3 points days for 3 days- because I haven't been drinking my water, not exercise for a change.

Amanda Panda
01-23-2006, 03:06 PM
Hi all,

I got 2 points for Sat and Sun - went slightly over my calories but no big blow outs or anything, so I'm pleased!

I had my fit ball class today - boy it doesn't get any easier! Some of it was easier, but then she tries out these new moves which are even tougher! I guess that's how you get abs of steel though! The instructor said to me at the end 'you're getting better', which I thought was nice, and this woman said to me that she thought I was really good at it and looked like I'd been doing it a while! I was flabbergasted as I really do struggle with some of the exercises - but she said I manage to lift my legs up higher than most of the people in the class!! Result!! :carrot:

The whale died.:(

I didn't go for the walk in the end - I was too achy from doing a weights workout at the gym and I couldn't be bothered to get up early and go! Sorry to disappoint! I ended up going for a swim, which was the first time since Summer and I found it really tough! I thought it would soothe my aching muscles, but it just made them worse and now I am completely stiff across my back and arms. Tomorrow my abs will be aching - so I think my legs will be the only things which won't be hurting - it's a good thing it's cycle class tomorrow!

FAYE - You are doing so well - I expect you'll have another big loss this week.

SUSAN - Congrats on the loss .5lb is great as you are so close to goal.

JULIE - That poor shop assistant - I'm terrible around vomit, it makes me want to puke myself! Glad you had a nice girlie day with your daughters - despite the puking!

LEE - I am happy that things are going so well for you. I love your attitude - dying your hair red - what fun!

CARRI - Hi! Hope you are okay and the pounds are still flying off you!

Love Amanda x

01-23-2006, 04:36 PM

I landed not one, but two totally different jumps today!!!!! :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: :carrot:

I can now do a bunny hop a good 3" off the ice, and a waltz jump at about 1" off. I'm so happy.....I skated like 3 hours today it all felt so awesome! My coach was so surprised, cuz she didn't teach me the first jump. I've been working on the waltz jump for a week to surprise her. THen after I showed her, she showed me the bunny hop to give me confidence with jumping off the ice. After that, the waltz was much easier and higher.

Anyhoo, it's been a great day. No dance tonight cuz it's snowing like crazy. BUt I think I got my exercise in.

Hope everyone else is having a great day too!

01-23-2006, 04:37 PM
Oh, yeah, and Faye the game is basically a computerized version of risk...with really icky sound effects.

01-23-2006, 06:00 PM
Julie: How wonderful for you!!!!! Jack plays the computer version also and I know. He usually plays without the sound, but when he does have it on, it is pretty disconcerting. For one thing, we have a separate sound system for the computer downstairs and it sounds like the army is tromping through our living room then you hear this roar of men when he captures something!

Amanda: Yeah for you! :carrot: Good going girl even if you didn't get the walk in. To get praise for how you do the class so early on in doing it, is great! I haven't read anything about the whale except when I first saw it, but that is really sad. Unfortunately, when they get redirected somehow from the sea, it happens more times than not that they cannot recuperate from it.

Susan: It is easier to drink water than find time for exercise so we need to improve that girly!

Just peeked in to see how everyone was doing.

Jack is almost done with his treadmill workout so I need to get dinner finished. Have a good evening all and your points that you posted today are on last post of page 1.

Faye :)

01-23-2006, 08:04 PM
I know this sounds like it was fast, but the entire process actualy took us 2 years, BUT.....

Ok, so we made an offer and they accepted. There's still the rest of the legal *stuff* to go through and if nothing catastrophic happens (Julie, you know how our luck is.. cross your fingers!) then we move in in the beginning of March!!!

AAAHHHHHHH!!!! Ok ok ok.. I'm calm now. Really. I really am.

NO I"M NOT! Hee hee hee!!

*sigh!* Things are really looking up for us finally. Maybe.

-Lee Ann
(Who has been OP very well these days with much less stress)

01-24-2006, 08:29 AM
TUESDAY: Today is Target Tuesday and our target this week is dairy. Remember to include dairy in your daily weight loss regimen or at least replace it with vitamin d and calcium supplements. We really need the calcium as we get older and for all of you, the time to make sure you do that is now not later. Dairy can also help you lose weight so drink that ff milk, eat that lowfat ff cheese, yogurt, etc.

Faye :dancer:

LeeAnn: We will all say a little prayer and keep our fingers crossed for you. I am sure everything will go exactly right!

Gotta get on that treadmill!

Faye ;)

01-24-2006, 12:44 PM
4 points yesterday!~
Gotta go skate...

Amanda Panda
01-24-2006, 01:51 PM
Hi all,

I got 4 points yesterday. Oh boy am I in pain today - my abs are hurting even more than last week - I guess because I was more confident and pushed myself further! There is no way I can make it to my cycle class tonight - I can't move without wincing with pain! Oh well - it will get less painful soon I'm sure!

JULIE - Good for you on your new jumps! I am currently watching 'Celebrity Ice Dancing' on TV - where lots of very minor celebs try to ice dance and get voted off each week. It looks so difficult and dangerous - I've never ice skated in my life, and always slip over on ice in the street!

LEE - Congrats on getting the house (subject to legal stuff!). I'll pray that it all goes through smoothly for you. How exciting!

Have a nice evening

Love Amanda x

01-24-2006, 02:33 PM
Fternoon All ... had a good or so so weekend, I did stay on plan for the most part with just a couple of minor slips ups, but going to do much better this weekend, the weekends are the hardest for me ... but I have found out that sushi is pretty low in fat and that is going to be my reward for this weekend.
Dh loves it and it is growing on me ... any of you guys like it? If so what do you get? I have only tried a few things, I really like the california rolls.

LeeAnn - Hope everything goes all right with the house, I know how that all goes having bought two houses since my early 20's ( I am now 32 ) ... it seems to never go perfectly smooth, but I know it will all work out.

Julie - WTG on your four pointer and on your skating, that sounds really fun, and a great workout.

Amanda - I always feel like if I am not extremely sore the next day that I did not do much for myself, so you are doing great... :) I gotta go to the gym tonight and do some sweatin' ...

Faye - Great job on the 12 pounds down, don't you love that first full week on, it is always a great loss that week ... keep up the good work !!!!

I meant to say that I lost another 2 pounds last week, but now I cannot remember if I already said that or not last week, oh well ... have a good afternoon everyone!!

01-25-2006, 08:50 AM
WEDNESDAY: Today is Wednesday's Woes so if you have a gripe today is the day!

Amanda :bravo:
Julie :bravo:
Faye :dancer:

Have to run gals. I am up to my armpits in cleaning!

Faye :)

01-25-2006, 09:45 AM
I have a big gripe today. I called 2 doctors offices on Monday and asked them to have the doctor to call me at his convenience (maybe that was my mistake) because my husband was getting worse and I needed to know what to do. Here it is Wednesday and now I'm waiting for the offices to open and calling and demanding to talk to the docotr because he is much worse. He has an appointment on February 3 but needs to be seen today or taken to the hospital. When I got home last night, he was sitting in his chair crying because he has spent the last 4 hours trying to get up and couldn't. He has no strength in his legs at all. On the positive side, finally got approved for the full Medicad Spenddown (since I have income) so he is fully covered. I am rapidly getting to my wits end. I can see why people commit just can't get the help you need.

01-25-2006, 02:34 PM
Oh susan, how horrible for you and your dear husband. I hope you've gotten the help you need by now! Don't your doctors have someone on call at all times? That's pretty standard.

My prayers are with you.

4 points for me yesterday.

01-25-2006, 05:04 PM
Susan, I am so sorry to hear what you are going through, be strong for your husband and I hope the Dr's have called you back by now... it has to be so hard... :grouphug: I know one of the worst times of my life was knowing that my dh was laying in bed in horrible pain ( back ) and not being able to do anything, I felt so helpless and of course Dr's do not see it as you do with your loved one.

I will be praying for you both.

01-25-2006, 07:43 PM

Susan: I would run not walk to the emergency room and I would put up such a stink that they would do something for him. Don't take NO or being ignored for an answer. I know you have to work, but I would call EVERY hour at that dr's office and I would make it clear that you were going to bug the living hoohoo out of them until you were given what you needed! We are absolutely positively all here for you and please let us know what we can do to help you! We love you and your are part of us!

01-26-2006, 08:40 AM
THURSDAY: Today is Time for Us Thursday so take a little time and do something special just for you today!

Julie :bravo:

I got a big fat 0 yesterday. It was one of those icky days you have every so often and it was one of mine. I plan on getting on that treadmill as soon as I am done here.

Susan: We will continue to pray for you and your husband. Our hearts go out to you at this time. As I have said before, my sister's husband has MS and I know the stress involved with a spouse who is debilitated.

Everyone have a super duper Thursday today!

Faye :)

01-26-2006, 04:21 PM
My husband needed 2 pints of blood and he's doing much better and they sent him home. So I was thankful for that.

I had 3 points yesterday - food and water.

01-26-2006, 07:11 PM
That's Great! I'm so glad to hear that you got through to those fatheads! I have the same beef about dr.s that I have about bankers..! To them it's just some papework, but to US it's our LIVES!

Don't they have to go through some kind of reminder training every 6 months or so? They should.. jeez!

2 pts for me today.. too excited to stay OP.. the bank made a $100/mo error against us. I told her there is No Way we could afford it and to fix it or we will have to buy a different/less expensive house or re-think buying at all.

They got back to me in less than an hour and said that it was fixed and that we were going with the same plan at the less expensive price and to ignore the $100/mo thing entirely. LOL! Guess they took me seriously. GOOD! Ha ha!

-Lee Ann

01-28-2006, 09:42 AM
Just trying to get us all back on the front page, since Faye won't be back for a while.

I had a horrible eating day idea what set it off, but I just kept eating. Today's another day.

Hope you're all having a great weekend.

01-29-2006, 09:12 AM
Good Morning gals! We came home yesterday, but I couldn't get in here. Our weekend turned out to be a big flop. They were having a 2 casino black jack tournament we didn't know about so the place was packed. We weren't having much fun so we just packed up and came home yesterday morning after breakfast.

Not much news here. I am trying to get all the laundry done. They didn't have any non smoking rooms though I had requested it so we ended up in a smoking one and all our clothes, worn AND clean smelled like smoke so I am having to wash them all. We were on the top floor in the very last room of the hotel! On top of that, I had been down at a slot machine and came back up to find Jack at the door having gotten ice for the cooler and talked to him about going home. We rushed around and when we got home, Jack left me with the mess to go and get a tax program so we could get our taxes filed yesterday. I went to clean out the cooler and dopey had left the ice bucket in it so now I have to mail that back to them!!! I hope they don't charge us for it. We called them but Jack didn't take down the name of the person he talked to in case there is a problem about it.

You girls have to rent the movie, Life as a House. It stars Kevin Kline and is a wonderful movie, but have the kleenex handy!

I guess I better get started for the day. I bought yarn to start a brave project, my first sweater! Wish me good luck. If it works, I may make them for dd and dil for Christmas or make one for Thomas for Christmas.

Have a great Sunday gals!

01-30-2006, 07:40 AM
MONDAY: Today is Mission Monday and our Mission this week is grains. Whole grains are a great source of fiber and aids in the overall weight loss plan. Eat cold cereal, oatmeals, whole grain breads and pastas as a regular part of your diet. They are not the enemy!

I am having trouble posting girls so I don't know if this is going to set up correctly or not. I posted here Saturday and it showed that it posted (more than once in fact) but all weekend when I come back in here, it shows the same post on page one like no one has been here to post but on the "forum" page at the support group section, it shows a different post as the beginning post.

Have a good day girls!

Faye :)

Morning All, I had an okay weekend, not feeling really well today, I over ate yesterday and my stomach is not used to that so I am feeling pretty bad today, indigestion, heartburn, etc ...

Faye - what casino do you go to? my dh goes to a riverboat called Caesars
( I may not be spelling that right ) but I believe it is right over the Indiana line in Kentucky ... he has never won a whole lot there but he absolutely loves to go ... also I have seen that movie, it has been a while but I remember it was extremely good, and yes a tear jerker ...

Well all I did lose another two pounds last week but I figure with all day eating Sunday I may have put it back on, oh well back to gym today ...

Talk to you all later!!

4 points yesterday.

Hubby and I were up all night cooking stuff in advance (freezable) for the big buffet we are doing on Saturday. I'm nervous because I don't know if I have enough for everyone or maybe they won't like it. I was fine until last night when it was cooked, but when I saw how much we made, I suddenly started thinking I might not have enough....
Ah well. I'm calling some experts to pick their brains.. I still have 5 days..

Hello everyone. Had a bad weekend foodwise so no points for Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Back on track this morning. DH has been doing a little better so that helps. Take him to the doctor on Friday this week. My asthma has been bad and I had to go back on a 10-day Prednisone burst. It makes me so hungry I could eat wood. But at least my breathing is easing. The cold weather always gets me. Hope you are all doing well. I was down .5 last week, 4 pounds for the month.

I've not been around for a few days as I've been ill - I am not sure if it was a bug or just overdoing it at the gym, but basically my body just packed up and I felt totally and utterly physically and mentally exhausted. I've had some time off from the gym which has really helped and I was back there over the weekend and I had alot more energy than I've had in weeks! I guess I have been working flat out at the gym since New Year - adding in an extra cycle class and the new fitball class - both of which are tough classes, and I think what finished me off was the swim - I am not used to it and those pools just breed all kinds of bugs and lurgies! Anyway, I am back on track now - not 100%, but getting there.

My eating has been crap! Because my mood has been low too I've been comfort eating and have also been hungry alot and overeating on bread. I weigh in on Weds, but I am not looking forward to it as I am worried I will have gained!

On a more positive note - I got my sexy knee high boots - they are beautiful, but I need to get used to walking in them as they are very high heeled! I also have been trying on clothes from 'normal' clothes shops and was really pleasantly suprised to find I fit easily into a normal shops size 20 skirt (US 16) - in fact the 20 is a little large on the waist, but I am not quite ready for the 18 (14). I have an 18 skirt in my wardrobe which I tried on yesterday - I can even get the zip up, but it's just a bit too tight a fit! What suprised me is that the last time I wore that skirt, I weighed around 182lb (I remember because it was the slimmest I've been in my adult life) - I now weigh 32lb more than that, but I can almost wear it! Isn't that mad? - that just goes to show how rubbish the scales are and how much more toned and slim I am despite what the scales show!

FAYE - Sorry your weekend was a bit of a washout.

SUSAN - Glad to hear dh is improving - I'll continue to pray for you both. I guess your asthma meds are steroids - they always make me hungry!

CARRI - I had pizza last night and spent all night struggling with heartburn and indegestion - it also really affected my performance at the gym - I'd like to say I'll never do it again, but you and I both know that's never gonna happen!

JULIE - Hope you are doing well and back OP.

LEE - I don't envy you with all that cooking - it must be hard to estimate how much people will eat. I guess better too much than too little! I am terrible cooking for more than 3 people - I never do enough!

Love Amanda x
