Oh, pete sakes, I will be the first to post......

I had a lovely Greek salad for lunch (130 cal) and added a can of albacore tune and pickled beets. I also bought some yummy whole grain sesame seed pretzels. Very good and lo fat. I left them in the car after eating a handful - otherwise I would gobble them down.
I had a bowl of oatmeal and an orange for breakfast.

My focus this week is to get below 160, I will KILL for 159!

Hey, that is why we are Jaded Ladies, right??? lol

ugh.......better get. People are here.......

EDITED:
ok, I am back. Constant people traffic. I can't even eat my lunch without them wanting something. I get half way into the bathroom and they yell "Susan, Susan....can I ask you something????"

ummm, no. Gawd......lol

Rocky is on the phone - my sweetie. .......he thinks I am wonderful.....hehe - have him fooled.....jk. On a post pms today,,,,,

160...I'd kill to not be 200 anything again!!! Work stress going on bigtime right now--get rid of a person and flip flop a person I am glad to be rid of and replace with a person that is trying to pick up on all the little details and then dump a new program on us that calls for at least another 1/2 time if not full time person!!! No problem right--don't they say a certain amount of stress is good for you?????? I still do the happy dance that the psycho is in another department and that the saying that your sins will find you out is TRUE!!!!!!
Went to my slim-n-tone and did extra round waiting for the elliptical--I am tired and going to bed to stop the ringing phones in my head!!

Hi ladies,

Jules - YAY for keeping up with the exercise! Glad your DD has such a good buddy. Friends you can count on are priceless. That's one reason I like this place so much. :)

Marti - aww, I'm glad you like being back in the Sony bldg. Must give you a feeling of homecoming, sort of.

Katy - yep, if you're like me, you'll take the losses however you can, lol.

Christine - YAY for staying OP! Sounds like your life is mighty busy.

Cristi - I know that the news of the 3fc book has brought more people. And some technical changes are going on. So those things added to the new year's flood, I guess that's what's happening to the server. Keep hanging in there, though, and it will get better.

Susan - your salad with the tuna and beets sounds very good! And healthy, too.

Went to Evansville with Terry and Gina today. Her dad has terminal cancer, and the docs have done just about all they can do, so they may move the wedding date up. It's too sad!

I've been doing very well with the calories/points. I tend to do both, lol. For a snack, I dipped some grape tomatoes in salsa that I had mixed with 1T Light Done Right ranch dressing. Yum!

Be good and I'll chat at ya tomorrow.

Morning!:)

Well today was my weigh in day and I didn't gain but I didn't lose either. I'm sort of happy for that one since I messed up so bad over the weekend:o

Julesmaybe there's something in air for the 'work signs'???? All the planets and stars are in alignment for disasters at work???:D

Jane Yah.........my life runs at 100 miles/hr............sometimes but I like it that way for the most part...........hum.............am I crisis oriented??;)

off for the morning errands....................

Finally....:p

Got signed on earlier and did a little bit of lurking. Then came here and guess what? The server busy stuff started! It's enough to drive a person mad, or me anyway! :dizzy: So went upstairs and did a couple of things and came back and viola...here I am. :D Anyway, did the wally world thing this morning and then ran over to Michaels to see about getting a grapevine wreath and something to put on it. Does anyone have a winter wreath? And what is it? I've not had one and hate the bare spot...but what do you use for a winter wreath? So I found some berries. They were Christmas looking berries but thought it would fit in with Valentine's Day so got them since they were 90% off. It looks okay, kind of plain but that's okay. They had some really nice sunflower wreaths for spring...may have to get another wreath and make one. I love sunflowers. Or I could just take the flowers off of the spring one I have and do sunflowers. seems a waste though. Anyway, while there I stumbled upon some mini-flags. Now I don't usually do a flag for Valentine's Day or St. Patrick's Day but they were cute and only $4 so what the heck. Why not have one for every holiday season? Also, got an Easter one too. Anyway...

CHRISTINE...hope everything is fine with GD.

JANE...trying not to get frustrated about the server busy stuff. It's crazy that if I am able to get on and sign in and post once and then try again I can't. Then, not even be able to sign off. Sorry to hear about Gina's dad. (((((HUGS))))) to her and Terry, and the rest of her family. And I do know that song and like it! There's songs like that that hit me hard too. So is Kati missing home at all? I didn't think Josh would when he left and was totally surprised when he said he did.

SUSAN...good job on the 3 miles walked! :carrot: :bravo: How's Rocky doing? Other than being in love with you!

KATY...I think going peacefully is the only way to go. And in some ways I think it is a little easier on the family. I hope that I can go peacefully also when my time comes. WOOHOO ont he loss! :carrot: I did join the site also, thanks for sharing the link. :thanks: I won't journal of course but I like the site and will go there to get tips and menus.

JULES...just remember also, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger! Or so they say! Was DH able to fix DD's car or will she have to get another? At least she has a good friend to help her out, that is sweet.

MARTI...hope you are able to get to the gym at work once everything is in order. Iwould love to go to a gym, then maybe I wouldn't get so bored with walking/exercise. I checked out Jazzercise and thought that would be fun. But no where did I see the price, just a $20 coupon off for the first month for newbies. So I was thinking it would be costly if they are giving a $20 coupon off. When it comes to spending money to work out I get cheap. I know it's for my own good but it is just too much money. Especially when I have equipment at home. Glad your car is fine. yeah, I would think if someone hit your car hard enough to do damage to the frame, etc. that there would be damage elsewhere. That would have to be a hard hit.

MINDEE...glad to hear FIL is doing better, hopefully he got to go home.

KATHY...actually started on K is for Killer and then went to the library and found a couple of books I wanted to read. Those two were the ones I was reading. Shoot the Moon and just finished In Cold Blood by Truman Capote last night. Then went back to reading K is for Killer. Need to quit going to the library and read what I have at home. I knew you had three children, but for the life of me couldn't remember their ages. I knew one was a little tyke. Sounds like the teenagers have very good heads on their shoulders, makes a momma proud doesn't it?

Hi ANGIE, SUE, MEL, MARYKATE, ELLEN, CONNIE and anyone I may have inadvertently forgotten to mention.

UPS just delivered my candles! I'm a happy camper! :carrot: Took almost a week, thought UPS was faster than the USP. Still am surprised that they are discontinuing the Wedding Day scent. :( Oh well, I have enough to last for quite a while, especially if I use other scents every now and then. Kind of hooked on the raspberry cream now so will continue to get those too. Anyway, need to get going ladies and get my laundry folded. I love this washer in that I can load it and set a timer for when I want the clothes to start. I've done that a quite a few times at night so that they start in the morning if I have places to ba and errands to run. Now if I could just train it to put htem in the dryer and start that when they are done!

HAVE A GREAT DAY LADIES!

Good Afternoon -

Just ate lunch - a salad with lo fat cottege cheese and tuna that I brought from home - had oatmeal for breakfast.

I miss Gaby right now. I will get off early from work and take Rach for a med appt.

Rocky is good. Going through an application process to care for a Easter Seals child. He was interested in that - a boy from his school.

Good Afternoon Ladies!

I've already started my Spring Cleaning!:dizzy: :dizzy: :dizzy:

I thought that w/my hours at work that it would just be better to start De-cluttering the house and enjoy the warm weather when (and if) it comes.:)

Good news. James was brought back to Eugene! So it was only a week of being in the Dalles. All those phone calls must have paid off. So now he's back to 2 days gone 2 days home. I can live w/that.

Susan--You're doing great w/your eating and exercising!! You'll reach your goal in no time. I've got to step up and start doing the same!!

Christine--What do you do for a living? Sounds busy and hectic...kind of like what I do! (ok....probably like all of us)

Jules--Ok, who in the world said that a little stress is good for you?:) I've had enough of my share to last me the rest of the year!! Too much going on. And w/the company moving....everything is so darn hectic.

Jane--I guess it's kind of a homecoming. Very disoriented since they remodeled. But there are a few of the security gaurds that worked for Sony that are still there! That's pretty cool.

Cristi--Unfortunately the gym is still not safe to workout in. They have it blocked off until all the construction is completed. They have a huge machine coming in that they're working on which will be directly above the gym....so we have to wait. That should be a week or so. Not too long. I'm looking forward to using it!

Hello to all the other gals out there!

Oh....James looked at the car, and pretty much said the same thing Jane did. :D "Did they actually hit you?" He probably thought I was dreaming too. So all is good there. Not reporting anything. (lucky woman, because the police said it was a felony)

Ok...off to finish cleaning then clean myself to go to work.

Chat w/you all later.

Jane

Hiya ladies,

Cristi - I just knew you'd know the song I meant. :) I too am stingy about spending money to work out when I have stuff here I could use. Operative word: Could, lol. Katie says she gets a little homesick at night. Things like that are always worse at night! Speaking of packages, we got the wrong address for Katie, and she hasn't gotten any cards from me yet, which she should have. So she was told that the mail will be returned. And just yesterday Neal mailed my package of candy to her.

Christine - well, at least you didn't gain! But I know how frustrating it is to thing another week went by, with nothing to show for it. Better luck next week, toots.

Susan - what was the grrrr for?

Marti - WOOHOO for James coming back home. :cp: Bet you're lovin' it! I always do my spring cleaning in the late winter, but don't have to this year, since we're tearing the house down. YAY!

Back to Evansville today. I had a partial plate made there, and it feels pretty good so far.

Did I mention we had about an inch of snow? So pretty!!

Take care and I'll catch you tomorrow. :)

Hi everyone

Just popping in to say hello.

Jane, its kind of funny, we usually have lots of snow by now and knock on wood we don't have any. But the trees are all frosted and it looks so nice.

Marti wonderful news about James. We are looking at getting a new car, but I haven't the slightest idea about what kind I would like. Glad your car is ok.

Cristi I am very lucky to have good kids. Even DD boyfriend who is here every weekend (because he lives 1 hour away) is a great kid that we don't mind having around at all. Do you still have 2 kids at home?

Susan when you say Rocky is in the process, is that sort of like foster parenting? He will have another young one living with him? You know maybe you could move the girls, the good ex that feeds you and your mom to Hawaii. Then you could go ahead and get married and not worry about anything.

Jules are you able to match your workout with the fun ones that were there with you before? Good job on the extra round and then eliptical trainer.

Christine poor little GD. Hope everything is better for her after her dentist visit.

Hi to everyone else.
Must run.

Kathy

I finally remembered to call the court house to inquire about Logan's birth certificate since it has been almost three months since he was born. The lady tells me, "well you are going to have to come here and place an order for a copy. it will be $15." She then said " Lansing keeps the original and then sends us a copy. We then can get you a copy but you have to come in and order one." I said "well, my oldest son was born down state and when we filled out the information for his birth certificate, we received one in the mail." She cuts me off and says "well, that is the hospital certificate and that won't do you any good." I was unnerved because she cut me off, so I said "When my son was born down state, we received his birth certificate in the mail." She said "well, that isn't how it is suppose to be done. Lansing has the original then they send us a copy of it, and you can come pick one up."

I was agitated at that point, and asked for the hours. So, when we go into town on Friday, looks like we will have to stop at the court house, pay them $15 and get a copy of his birth certificate.

We also got this card in the mail from a grocery store in Bad Axe with a gift certificate in it. They saw Logan’s birth announcement in the newspaper, cut it out, and sent it to us along with a nice card that they made for him.

Update on my FIL: He is out of the hospital and at home driving my MIL nuts! Thanks for all the prayers for him! Now, if we can get my GMIL to do what she needs to do, then she can go home next week.

I managed to do all my strength training/cardio exercise yesterday, and I even added some! I am so :carrot: right now. If the boys weren't sleeping, I would probably be bouncing around playing with them like that.

Really quick post from work....just to let you ladies that enjoy the Wedding Day scent that is being discontinued by Yankee Candle....I emailed the daughter of my co-worker who is a SAHM and makes candles/bath-body products on the side and she said that she had just put her "scent" supply order in but she would be ordering again in a month or so and that there was a duplicate scent. She got Pearberry scent for my daughter which is on the discontinued list at Bath & Body and my son likes pear not pearberry and she is testing a pear scent now.
Gotta start getting some work done before the phones go crazy!!

Good Morning -

The grrrrrr was because I am constantly interrupted!!!!! I don't have time to post and work at the same time!! haha
Just short of patience lately.......grrrrrrr

Lousy job last night on eating. I had 3 slices of wheat bread w processed cheese on it - plus a bag of noodle soup - feel so fat now. I didn't walk because I was too tired.
Adjusted my hours to start work at 9am to take the girls to school. Slept til 7:15am.......just pooped lately - maybe all the walking??
Girls take up so much time. I ran to Freddies at 8:00 pm to get Beck a hair dye. *sigh*....she is so determined!!!

Kathy - process meaning a back ground check - to be like a Big Brother. The boy lives with his grandmother -

grrrrrr - better go.......

Hello ladies....

MARTI...what a great present...James being sent back home, yay! And a great idea about spring cleaning now to spend the time outdoors when it does get warm. I can't wait to get back to the yard! And a very
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
:balloons: :woo: :hb: :hat: :hb: :woo: :balloons:

JANE...sorry that you guys have the wrong address for Katie. But once everything is sent back, you can put it all together and send it together...one big care package-that would totally make her day! You guys have snow?! We haven't gotten much this year. Supposed to get snow or rain or both starting tonight. I don't much care what we get...we need any kind of moisture!

KATHY...yes, still have two kids at home, well three sort of. My youngest DS joined the Army last August so he's gone. Will be back for a few weeks in a month or so then will be off (we don't know where yet-they keep changing his orders) for about 14 months. DS#1 and DD are still here. DS#1 had planned on moving out last September and then lost his job.

SUSAN...is Rocky a teacher? I think that is cool what he is doing. I used to write letters to a couple of kids that a friend sponsored (he sponsored them but really didn't have time to write all the kids he sponsored) and it is really a wake up call. These kids were so thankful for anything. I could send money to them for Christmas or their BD but there was a limit of $10. You would be amazed at what they did with that $10. The girl, Hannah usually spent it on the entire family or seed to plant a garden so the family could have food. She lived in Kenya and the boy, Wilson, lived in Ecuador.

MINDEE...what the heck was wrong with that woman? I have always gotten birth certificates through the mail. I mean come on...if you move out of state you can't drive 1500 miles to pick up a BC. When you do get it though, you might want to make sure it is a certified copy with the raised seal and all. I had the kids BC and when I had to send it to a few places they wanted a certified copy. The same when DS joined the Army. I also have extras of DH#1's death certificate. Of course when that happened I was told to get lots of extras for so many different things and I used all but 2! I need to get the kids a copy for their keeping. That was nice about the card for Logan. Glad FIL is home and doing better.

JULES...you know...I'm not even sure that the Wedding Day scented candle is retired. I am going to e-mail yankee and ask. I received a cataolg along with the candles and they still have it listed. There are some in the catalog that they have retired by and it's not one of them. But I went to the site thinking maybe I should have ordered more and they were all sold out! So not sure if it is or not. But they do have 13 new scents coming out and one of them I really liked, think it was clean linen, can't remember now.

HI to everyone else!

I've got some errands to run as soon as I get off this thing and a little bit of cleaning. Thought I would get on first and then do everything else. Going to try and get a little bit or reading done also. Was trying to read K is for Killer last night but it was boring me so put it down and went to sleep. I think I have just read too much the last week and need a break. Anyway...

Have a GREAT Thursday ladies!

:gift: :balloons: :carrot: :cp:Happy Birthday to You, Marti :gift: :balloons: :carrot: :cp:

Hope you're having a great day so far. Any speacial plans? My card to you will probably be late, since there was no mail moving Monday.

Kathy - I went from a smallish SUV back to a van after we got so many grandkids, lol. The insurance sure is cheaper on a van and I get really good gas milage. Mine is a cherry red Chrysler Town and Country.

Mindee - I thought all health offices gave you the first one free? What a rip off!

Jules - hiya

Susan - grrrr!!!! :D

Cristi - the clean linen candle is a really good scent. I even have the little one hanging on my rearview mirror in the van. So far, no mail has been returned, so I don't know where the heck it is. <sigh>

I had Caylin here today, and we did the Wally World thing. She talked me into buying a movie - Charlotte's Web. She didn't have to talk much, lol. I admit I'm a softie.

I had the BEST salad dressing on my turkey tortilla for lunch today. It's Newman's Own, Lighten Up, Light Honey Mustard. Yum, yum, yum!!! Plus, all the profits from his company go to educational and other charitable causes. Good deal all the way around.

Just for the record, I didn't cry yesterday. :)

Hello ladies....back again!

A little bored right now so had a couple of things I forgot to look up while online earlier. Did get the house straightened and vacuumed....love the look of a clean house. It's not spotless, but it is clean.

JANE...I miss having a mini-van. I love my Sante Fe but when I get another vehicle (maybe a few years) it will be another mini-van. Unless they get too weird looking. I hope it doesn't take long for the mail to get back to you. I had something returned and it took 2 months! :yikes: Caylin has good taste! I like Charlottes Web. Bet she is getting big.

Anyway...hope you are having a wonderful birthday Marti! :hb:

Going to go ahead and wish :woo: :gift: :hb:MEL a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY too! :hb: :gift: :woo: since I won't be on tomorrow. Okay, the party last week through me so there were early bd wishes. Hope you are having a great time in AZ!

Hi again to everyone else

See ya Saturday, possibly Sunday. Have a good one ladies!

Happy Birthday Marti:hb: :balloons: :woo: :woo:

I didn't know it was your birthday, sorry! Great news on James - woo hoo. I bet that is a huge relief.

Where are you going Cristi?? I must have missed that! Rocky is a Head Custodian in one of the schools over there, 23 years. I am trying to get him to apply for the south of the big island or over in Kona. South has the cool black and green beaches - it is also kind of country and away from the tourist side of Kona. Kona I would love for WalMart.......lol - jk. it is really pretty there.

Shocking news is Mike is no longer employed - like that is a big shock. I knew he wouldn't last. Just when medical gets all in place for Gaby he quits - ding bat. I called the employer asking about her medical and she said "oh , he quit last month." I called CS and she goes "he has all month to pay his support."
I go........."he isn't working, he quit weeks ago."
She goes "I haven't gotten a notice on that."
I explained that I called on Gabys medical because I hadn't received a medical card yet and was told he had quit.
Oh, CS lady says that is harrassment,I can't be calling his employer it is in the policy.
blah - blah.
In my letter from the employer on medical coverage it said I could call if I had questions and I had a question. The workers attitude sucks. She said again we have our policy and I said "ya, and it favors the one who has to pay not the child."
I called her supervisor and he said I was right and would talk with the casewoker. If I take Gaby to the doctor thinking she has coverage and she doesn't it is me that will have to pay for it - not them or Mike. I have a right to know - not when some notice comes in weeks from now. BS!!
Caseworker goes on that I can always pursure the support on my own. No, I don't think so.......I am going to demand that your office work for my child - you are funded with tax money.
The CS office annoys me more than Mike........geez. Anyway, I made an appt with the supervisor. I want to talk with him face to face - I want him to know we are real people- we are not a case number.

:grouphug: :balloons: Happy Birthday Marti :grouphug:
I'm glad that the good news came in time for your birthday. What a great present. Hope that you get to do something fun today.

Susan grrrr (((hugs))) to you. Can I phone the caseworker and yell at them for you? What are they thinking??? That is so great that Rocky will volunteer his time for kids that need it! What color of hair dye did you buy? My DD just bleached her beautiful auburn hair to blonde.

Jane (((hugs))) to you to. I am so glad that you didn't cry yesterday. Your van gets good gas mileage? That is why we need to buy something new. DH wants to get a firefly but I don't think that we could all fit into it. Did you sit and watch Charlotte's Web together when you got home? That is a good movie.

Cristi I was looking at a Santa Fe a few years ago, before we were going to buy something. How is that for gas mileage and can you fit 6 people into it? We usually only have 3 or 4 to drive around at once, but there is 6 of us on the weekends. (Pretty bad when the DD's boyfriend drives a nice new truck so we all go in his.)

Mindee, can you send some of your energy this way? Good job on the\workout.

Hi Jules. Does your friend teach classes on how to make candles? That would be a handy thing to know how to do. Although now everytime I light a candle, a little guy goes behind me to blow it out.

Hi to everyone else, must get the little one into bed.

Thank you Ladies!!

I had a wonderful little birthday even though I had to work!

James went and bought me a cake, and candles. He put all 35 on there and lit it up. It looked like it was blazing! He made me breakfast, and had lunch ready for me to take to work and when I got home....the kitchen was sparkling clean!!:D

At work, only a few knew about it, and one girl who I work with told our supervisor it was my birthday and so he started singing and got the entire crowd singing.:o

So it was nice.

I'm very tired. I worked overtime and just got home so I'm going to head on to bed. I will check in tomorrow and try and catch up!

Once again, thank you for the Birthday wishes!

Susan The social services can be a pain. I REALLY HATE when men don't do their duty and support thier kids. This is why my GD had the problems with the teeth. OUr county has NO Dentist to fix teeth......and supposedly because my son is incarcerated the mom can't get any $$ for help either......I don't know if I believe that one but............thanks Cristi and Luckycharm for your well wishes for my GD......as it turned out she is going to have to have that one tooth removed and a few fillings but that is ok..........the health department dentist said she needed 5 crowns:eek: which turned out to be untrue

Janethanks for the positive feed back........I'm on track this week!!! Had lemon shrimp pasta lean cuisine for dinner last night and it was REALLY good!!!

Marti I do income taxes for .........hum..........am i allowed to say??? H&R Block. It usually runs smoother than this but our office is considered to be 'the redheaded step children'. OUr supervisor of many years moved to another state and so we have a whimpy boss lady............she is NOT fighting for our "stuff".........so I'm just frustrated with all that we DO NOT have..........oh well............

my poor son has gone now 2x's to try for his license.......he has failed both times. we go back on Mon. he is sooooooooo sad.......this is my baby and my other 3 made it without a problem.........He just forgets to use his turn signals and this last time he hit a cone while trying to park........he would have passed but that disqualified him:( POOR BABE........I really want him to get a license.........I"M NOT BUYING A bigger car for my grandkids......I'm getting a sports car so NO ONE can ride with me ;D......my son made a part in the play the wizard of oz. If anyone here knew my son they would be shocked. i didn't even know he could sing and he is the quiet, silent, nerdy computer guy............:carrot:

Happy Birthday Marti!!!! What a great guy you have! Enjoy your day...

Jane--I have the Yankee Candle Fresh Linen car freshener in my car too. I like Bath & Body Candles too.

Cristi--I can't wait for spring cleaning--during the winter months when we get home late and hubby can't work in the garage, I have all these car & motorcycle catalogs & magazines piled high everywhere you look!! I can't dare move one or I will lose what he has found!!

Susan--the worst part about my dd's ill-fated marriage was that she went off our medical which we could have kept her on until she was up to 24 and enrolled in college--now she is sick and without medical coverage--she goes to college full time so she can't work a full-time job and get benefits--I told her to apply for a medical card until we can see if we can have approval to put her back on ours in July :(

Kathy--I should suggest the candle making class--she stopped in to see her mom & dad who work at the same place I do yesterday. She says her three newest scents are pear glace (for my son's request for a pear scent other that pearberry which she made for my daughter), monkey farts--combo of banana & coconut, and sex on the beach.

Angie--I am sitting hear drinking my coffee and my fingers are not quite working either and I have to keep fixing my mistakes

Christine--My daughter failed the written test for her dl twice and went out crying both times--the third times the charm!!

Going to do my Slim-n-tone workout, then back for a shower and off to pick up my dd to take her to her one class today--It's only an hour and the little university town has some really cute shops--I am going to have a cup of tea at this one restaurant that is decorated with deep rich colors and alot of silk and detail. They have a whole several page menu on just their teas. I never knew there were so many. Then it looks like we are coming back to the house to help DH start tearing her car apart.
After switching from coke to water, I lost 9 pounds in two weeks and last weekend I started the Sonoma Diet and stepped up my workout only to weigh in this week at a zero loss. Not on my monthly so that isn't the blame....

Hi ladies,

Cristi - Katie got all of her mail yesterday after all! I was relieved to hear that. When she called, she had a mouthful of the Reese cup dessert I sent, lol. Hope you're having a good weekend.

Susan - sorry for you problems with the CS! At least the manager took your side. You're a smart cookie to go in face-to-face.

Kathy - aww, thank you for your kind words. I'm doing much better. My blond DD wants to go red! I like red hair just fine, but her hair is a beautiful, natural honey blond, and why she wants to mess with that is beyond me, lol. I like the movie Charlotte's Web, too, and I let Caylin take it home to keep and watch with her family.

Angie - YAY for the 1.4 pounds down!!! Hope you're feeling better today.

Marti - glad to hear you had a great birthday. 35? It's all downhill from now, lol. JK!!!

Christine - I laughed at what you said about the sports car, lol. :D YAY for your son getting picked for OZ. Katie was so nervous that she failed her written test the 1st time she took it, and was devastated. She went back and got 100%, but was worried that she wouldn't pass. The lady at the DMV said we wouldn't believe how many kids fail the first couple of times. Made Katie feel better.

Jules - have a good time at "tea" today. Sounds very nice and relaxing. I think you didn't lose this week because your body is still trying to adjust to last week's loss. Just keep doing the right thing, and I think you'll catch up with a nice loss next time.

I'm doing well with the food. Ever since we brought the scales in from the cold porch, it hasn't been stabilized. The floors in this old house are so wonky, that a person can get on and off 2 or 3 times and get 2 or 3 totally different weights! But I can tell from my clothes that I'm doing pretty good.

I went to a new stylist today since mine couldn't work me in, and I really like my hair! It's quite a bit shorter, but she used a richer color that really gives me some vibrance. I made another appointment for next time.

Have a good one and I'll chat with you later. :)

Congrats on the 1.4 pounds Angie:cheer: :cp: :bravo:

You had the firemen there for your birthday Marti?? lol I don't think I remember 35........:bb: I am glad you had James there and all that worked out with his job!

I got my drivers license on the 3rd try - lol :bike: :scooter: My first husband taught me and I took the test during the Christmas holiday - lol Couldn't merge on the freeway:eek:

Yay to Katie! I am glad she is doing so well. Hi to everyone!! grrrrrrrr - have people at the door!! what a pain.....

Yes, I will give you CS number Kathy! lol She goes by Mrs which tells me a lot about her!! lol

oh - Rocky was looking at wedding rings last night. He was telling me that last night and I was blushing. I haven't walked all week and I ate process cheese this morning! lol:encore: :encore:

Hi ladies...

Change of plans for the day, bummer. DS and I had the day planned to go to the mall, have lunch and go to the bookstore. He was going to take the day off because they have been slow all week and they asked for volunteers to not come in. So...everyone beat him to it so he couldn't get the day off. :( Oh well, he does have Monday & Tuesday off so maybe we can do it then.

SUSAN...no wasn't going anywhere, just was going to be gone most of the day today. I don't normally get on the computer in the evening, just once in a while. Same as with the weekend. V was going to be home tomorrow so was going to spend the day with him, of course that has since changed too! So sorry about CS! Jeez, it kills me that they favor the one who is supposed to be paying! What is wrong with that picture?! You're making me want to visit Hawaii!

KATHY...as Angie said nope, can't fit 6 in the Sante Fe. I got mine Sept. 2004 because I wanted something smaller. Had a mini-van the last four vehicles before that. The most I've had in there at a time is 3 people, we hardly ever go anywhere together...everyone does their own thing and the boys have their own car/truck. I think it's actually pushing it to fit three adults in the back. But it's built for 5. I had wanted something smaller for sometime, I don't have kids to run around anymore, so it's perfect for me, and three other people, lol! Plus there's plenty of room to haul stuff if I had to, nothing real big though. But I do miss having a mini-van. I don't know though, I say I want another but I'm really not sure I would ever go back to one. Gas mileage is pretty good, I think it is 24 miles to the gallon??? Can't remember...V had it figured out for me at one time. What is a Firefly, who makes it?

JANE...glad Katie received the letters/goodies. Bet that made her day! I swear i will never figure out the USPS! I just made a visit there. Wish I had known they had some of the new 39 cent stamps, new designs. I bought two of the new love stamps-love birds...but I already have my valentine's ready to be mailed. Trying to get rid of those 37 cent ones anyway. Have way too many! Isaw that commercial last night, the one with the song...almost made me cry thinking about you missing Katie and me missing Josh!

CHRISTINE...LOL, like that one! I had a camaro once and that was sporty enough for me. The kids were little and had to go to something bigger, but I loved that car! I am scared to death of tiny little cars! Speaking of those, camaro's that is...I just saw a pic of the new ones and eeeewww! They don't look anything like a camaro. Glad DGD didn't have to have 5 crowns! :yikes:

MARTI...glad you had a nice birthday! Yeppers, as Jane said, it's all down hill now! And I too am kidding. Oh to be 35 again! Okay, maybe not having to live through that time (it was 3 years after DH#1 passed), but just to be that age. But I must say, 46 isn't so bad. Not sure what a 46-year-old is supposed to feel like, but I don't feel it! And DD keeps thinking I was born in 1969...sounds good to me!

ANGIE...WTG on the loss this week! :cheer: :carrot: I forget that we have the same car, right down to the same color! Hope you get to feeling better, and your family also.

JULES...wow, WTG on the 9 pound loss! :cheer: :carrot: You may have not lost on the first week of the Sonoma diet but the 9 lb. loss in two weeks is awesome!

Hi to everyone else!

Well, ladies I am going to do a little bit of lurking, and maybe posting and then go find something to do since my plans changed for the day. Take care and have a good weekend!

Hello gals!

Sitting here w/my hair in rollers. Thinking "SO glad it's FRIDAY!":D

Cristi--You know, what does an age suppose to feel like? I don't feel any older than I did when I was in my early 20's. And I know I embarass my daughter for my goofyness all the time.:D If I feel this way until the end of my days....I think I'll be happy forever!:) As for warmer weather, I'm so looking forward to it. I want to enjoy it more than I have in the past. Time for some changes.

Jane--I keep telling James that I want to go in and get a hair style done...the works...cut and color. But for some reason I'm scared. You never know what someone could do to your hair if you give them full access to do whatever. But one of these days I"m going to just go for it. I may like it and wonder "why did I wait so long????" Glad that Katie got your package. I'm sure she's missing just as much as you miss her.

Christine--It took me twice to get my license. I was doing just fine and when the lady asked me to merge into the next lane, there was a car in my blind spot and I thought she was going to have a heart attack! The car was honking like crazy and the instructor was yelling! I just about died of embarrassment. I was thankful that I had a completely different woman the next time! I don't think I would ever want your job! It looks too stressful! W/my job, I work w/patients specimens, that's stressful enough, but I don't have to ever see them. Having someone in front of me would be hectic.

Susan--Mike MUST have some connections w/the services to always have them on his side. The woman sounds uncaring, if only she were to experience what you're going through! Maybe you should change jobs and work that job so you can get things in order! I want to see photos of these rings that Rocky was looking at! How sweet! (so glad you have him to lean on when you have to deal w/Mike)

Jules--Amazing! 9lbs in 2weeks! You're doing a fabulous job. Been meaning to ask...what is a slim-n-tone workout? Is that a video or is that a class you're taking? I'm so ready to get my body moving. I want to be in better shape for the warmer weather.....heck for the rest of my life. Time to kick my butt and get in gear!

Angie--You poor thing! You seem to be sick a lot. You would think that your boys were in elementry school and that they brought it home all the time. You need to slow down more and relax! I'm might have to just come up there to Canada and become your "mother" "Angie dear, sit and rest, I don't want you to over do it. You'll never get well, here honey, drink some tea.....":D

Kathy--I've wanted to make candles too. But then, I watched some friends making some at home and thought "this is too messy!" But they turned out beautiful! So I figured, they can make the candles and I'll light them!:D

Hello to everyone I've missed and I know I have.....Katy, Katie, Mindee, EM, and all the others! I will catch up more later on. I need to go and take the rollers out of my hair and see if I need to throw water on it if it's too out of control!:)

Hugs to all!

The Slim-N-Tone workout I do is a Curves type gym affiliated with NutriSystem. I thought about doing the Nutri-System but it's all prepackaged foods, the cost is high to have to also buy groceries for DH meals becaused I would still have to feed my hubby (who would also like to lose a few pounds) so in reading about the Sonoma Diet, I thought that I would try it with DH doing the same with bigger portions. I really think the weightloss was from the change is giving the drinking of too many regular Cokes and switching to water. So maybe my body already had the reduced calorie shock that the others doing Sonoma had with the first 10 day more restricted menu.

DD and I had lunch instead of my going to the tea shop, I ran a few errands and then we went to a little restaurant that her and her friend love. She started with a cheese & spinach dip with pita bread ( I did have a couple) and then she had veggie lasanga and I had a sandwich with grilled portabello mushrooms, roasted red peppers and spinach. Both were really good!! I had an unsweetened ice tea instead of a Coke.

We took DH some lunch home since he was working on her car, the head gasket was bad but the heads were okay which he tells me was good. He is going ahead and changing the two final hoses that haven't been replaced and a water pump just to make him feel better. He is still getting the Honda Accord from his friend. MY DH is 6'2'' and likes to drive a big boat of a car. He currently has a big Cadillac with the biggest engine they make and DD & I had driving it, especially on the back country roads that we live on. It also is a gas hog, which is why we drive my little Toyota to work and mostly everywhere else.

Good Saturday morning to you!

Susan - ooooo... wedding rings! How exciting! Let's hope Rocky has good taste. Wait! We already know he does since he picked you for his bride.

Marti - go for it with the hair, if you know of a stylist you can trust. Mine new stylist came highly recommended by my good buddy Kathy. She and her DD both go to this one. Sometimes a new color or style is just what we need to get out of a rut. Mine is too short, though, but I love the color.

Cristi - I know you haven't checked in since my last post but I just have to tell you this. I found the PERFECT job for you! Too bad it's in Florida, and you're not. Katie was reading the Cast Members newsletter, and ran across an article that said they're now accepting applications at The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! Wouldn't you just love to work there? I know I would! I even like to say the name, lol.

Jules - glad you enjoyed the lunch with your DD. Sounds like some pretty good food!

Today is Macy's birthday party, and I asked Gina if it was okay if I bring a WW lemonade cake along. She said sure, since so many of us are counting points, calories, etc. Gotta do what ya gotta do, right???

Gotta run....

Good Morning!

Weigh day and I didn't budge an ounce!:?: lol Anyway- what can I do - my own doing if I don't exercise and eat process cheese all friggin day *sigh. I just feel off track now. Need to readjust my mental mind (lol) and remember "we are in the army now!!" grrrrrrrrr

If Cristi doesn't want the job I will take it Jane. Ever think of just retiring in Florida?? Be close to Katie & Disney World?

Rocky hurt my feelings last night - he wanted to go check on a cell phone deal at the mall - we hadn't even talked long. Annoyed me - I was already to settle in for hours of mindless chat - lol. He wanted me to go snuggle with Gaby and rest - what the heck- don't tell me want to do!:rollpin: He had been looking at this $7000 ring at Zales. Waaaaaaay too much. I told him I looked on line at their site and didn't even see a $7000 ring. The average price is $2000 - even that seems too much to me to spend. My first set was a black hill gold- which I pawned on termination of said marriage....lol The second wedding ring I tossed on the Astoria bridge - I really don't put value in jewelry. I told him I would look silly wearing a $7000 ring in my latest selection of wear from Goodwill. lol

woo hoo - Going to get my taxes done this weekend - takes 6 weeks for a refund. So, looking at the start of March for that - just in time to start shopping for trip to Hawaii!!!! yay......going to wear capris and t-shirts this time . I wore shorts last time - my outfit when I wanna "get" the man. JK....lol

k- guess that is it. Missing Katy, Katie, Mindee EM, Sue, Ellen.......hi to everyone!

Hello ladies...

JANE...oh, I would love to have the job! Where do I apply? LOL Actually, it does sound like it would be the perfect job for me! And I have never been to Florida. Wonder if they have openings in CA? :p Have fun at the BD party! And the lemonade cake...sounds delicious! :T

MARTI...yeah, I never get the age thing. Not sure what an age is supposed to feel like. DD is always telling me I don't act my age, maybe that's why she doesn't think I am the age I am. Oh, you should go get your hair done. There's nothing like being pampered for a few hours and coming out feeling like a new woman! But I do know what ya mean about finding someone you trust to do your hair.

SUSAN...geez, woman...a $7000 ring! Hey, if he wants to buy it let him. I'd take a $7000 ring for sure! Actually, I would be afraid to wear a ring that cost that much. Maybe a $4000 ring. :D I remember when my first DH bought me a ring in 1979. he was wanting to spend $1000 and I wouldn't let him. It just wasn't me. Of course now that is a different story! :p Anyway...taxes already! Man, girl that is early. V used to have ours done early but hasn't the last two years.

JULES...so did DH get the car running? What a lifesaver, having a hubby that can work on cars, saves lots of moola for sure. It is ridiculous sometimes what they charge to work on a car nowdays. It's the labor that gets ya. Sounds like you and DD had a very nice lunch.

Hi to everyone else

Wasn't really doing anything so thought I would jump on here and post for a few minutes. Going to get some scrapbooking done as soon as I get off this thing. I haven't done any in ages, can't remember the last time. Just know I need to get back to doing it and get those albums done for the kids. Josh will get two because I am doing an Army one. I was a happy camper last night because he actually called! :carrot: Kept waiting for him to write but he said he's not into writing right now so he called. We talked for about an hour, it was good to hear his voice for sure. Anyway...need to get going if I am going to get any scrapbooking done. Hoping to get at least 6 pages done today. :crossed:

Take care ladies and have a wonderful weekend!

Marti

Afternoon Ladies!!

Jules--Your lunch sounded so good! I love portebello mushrooms! I also love spinach dip and anything I can think of to dip in it!! (goodness me....no wonder I gained back the weight over the holidays!!)

Jane--Maybe someday I'll go get my hair done. There are many ladies who do at work, I'll just ask one of them if they have someone they can recommend. I guess I'm just cheap too! My sister does it all for free!:D But she's not stylist so it's just whatever happens at the end....that gets scary enough!

Susan--$7000 on a ring? WOW! I'd tell him to knock off $6000 of that and put it towards the honeymoon!! Taxes already? We don't even have our forms yet. Plus, James has to go to an accountant or something like that to get all his done. Who knows when we'll be doing that!

Cristi--Scrapbooking!!! I'm coming over!:) I haven't done any scrapbooking since summer! That's sad. I've done some pages for friends and they hang them up in photo frames. That was fun. One girl has her page hanging in her cubicle at work. I really need to get going on my book too....or it's just going to be a huge messy pile!!

Well today is my clean the house day. Not looking forward to it. Really tired too. But, once I get going.....when I'm done I'll either have a sparkling clean house or a bigger mess!:D

Better get started!

Marti

Happy Birthday Mel!

Ladies, ladies you all calm down on a $7000 ring !!! He isn't serious about that (at least I don't think) He asked to see the most expensive ring and the salesperson hauled it out. I would soooooooo not want that - I would kind of like a jade ring - that is a pretty color or a diamond but something small. I also don;t care about a honeymoon - give me some $$$$ to garage sales, that would be fun -lol - seriously.......

Gaby was sick last night , I forgot to say that earlier. I got in bed and her lil legs were hot, hot, hot - it was like an oven next to her. She kept saying through the night. I"m sick" - so cute. This morning she woke up ok but I am going to put her to bed - her eyes look tired.

Taxes will be in the mail Monday - got the W-2s in the mail yesterday. I already quickly did my federal and kind of know my refund amount - lol so I am eager to get it done = probably tomorrow.

best get a little girl to bed!!

No way I can catch up here! Happy Belated birthday, Marti! Hope your's was better than mine!
I have this tradition of sucky b-days. This year was no different! Ok, so we were in AZ, and it was nice and warm . . . but Mark forgot to say happy birthday to me until I reminded him around noon! His goofball parents were all pissy about Allen needing to be in bed at 730 WI time (630 AZ time) and then his best friend was being an a** . . that's a really long story. Needless to say I spent the evening listening to talk about breast pumps and pug dogs and eating way too much cake.
Eating too much . . . UG! Apparently nobady down there ever cooks! We ate out for almost every meal! I tried to eat good, but that's not easy when your at a place that only serves hot dogs! (Weinershnitzel)
I refuse to get myself down about my weight this week, and I'm sure I won't make my goal for the month.
Just very happy to be home!

MEL awwww......I'm sorry your trip didn't go well. SOmetimes the best family are the ones who live VERY far away:(

Martimy philosophy on the hair .............it'll grow back.......and if the color is wrong try another. When I first started to color my hair i went to a beauty shop........the cost was OUTRAGEOUS.........and I didn't like the color so good. I decided to experiment on my own.........you can get color that washes out in a few washes........and then you can go permanent.........I go to Super Cuts the always give a good hair cut and are very knowledgable about styles and what might look good on your face...........I hate spending money on Beauty shops..................but I love manicures and pedicures......they are nice:p OH PS i use to be an LVN way back in the day LOL!! yeah I love having people around...........very much a people person and I do miss nursing periodically...........but not often:D

POOR Son ............his dad took him out to try to park some more.......he comes home and sighs..........and says he ran over and killed 3people......DANG he is dramatic........

I want a Crossfire or a convertable Mustang or a Sebring..............or a Miata........or a RX-M80...........ha don't know what they are called but it's a nissan sports coupe......anyway...........that is my dream........I'm driving the grandma car now and my son will get it and then I'll go to the Ram.......that is if my hubby will let me touch his baby.......geesh.........when the gas prices were high the DH bought a 1991 civic(100,000miles for $1800) to save on gas since he drives 50 miles round trip daily.......I was told at the time that my son would get it when he gets his license..........Now hubby is saying the kid doesn't need a car and I should keep transporting him daily:mad: WHATEVER..........NOT.............

Hi Ladies,

Cristi - well, nobody but Neal and I had the lemonade cake. Terry and Gina said they are dieting, but ate the other stuff. Today is Mary's birthday, and they're having brownies instead of cake. Lord help me! Girls are different than boys when it comes to the phone, because Katie calls often and about talks my ear off, lol. I love to hear all the things going on in her life. But I know if it was Terry, he wouldn't call very often. Guys are like that. Btw, now when I hear 100 years, I think of you and Josh, too, and I really like that. :)

Susan - jade and diamonds must be the new thing for engagement rings, because one of Katie's friends got one for Christmas. I love the combination, too, and got a bracelet and earrings from Neal when I lost 75 pounds. Hope the Gabster is better today.

Marti - didja get your house cleaned? Willya do mine next? About the hair, maybe you should wait until a pro can do it, unless your sister is a stylist. In the meantime, you could pick up one of those hair style mags at Walmart, and see what you think would suit you.

Mel - a belated Happy Birthday from me! So sorry it wasn't so happy, though.

Christine - when I was 16, my boyfriend had a 1968 gold Mustang, and that car was so "groovy", lol. We used to steam up the windows at the drive-in. :o With "Crimson and Clover" on the radio, lol.

Well, as I mentioned to Cristi, we're going to Mary's birthday party afterwhile, then Neal and I are going to clean out the computer room and go to Lowe's for a 10' section of countertop. We're going to use 3 filing cabinets to hold it up and make a looooong computer/desk area for along one wall. Can't wait!

I'm doing pretty good, but not excellent, with the food. Why can't I just be one of those "naturally thin" people?????

Have a good Sunday, chicks!

Mel - sounds like you had an awesome birthday! lol Poor thing - do something for yourself this week - sounds like you need to pamper alittle. Same on the weight goal as you. If I fancy myself losing 4 pounds this week I will be on track - ya right. I will be happy to see 159 by Saturday!

Christine - cute dramatic son :)

What is the lemonade cake recipe Jane?? Sounds yummy. I was thinking of just a Jade ring but know that you mention jade & diamonds together that does sound pretty. He was talking with his sister yesterday and she told him to look at nbc diamond rings - that is where she buys her jewelry. Never heard of it.

Gaby has a cold- stuffy and tossed and turned all night. Wakes up at the crack of dawn - grrrrrrrr. I am still tired.

better get. I WILL walk 3 miles today!!

Hi everyone!

It is a crappy, gloomy day here - again! This weather can really get ya down. My back has been bothering me again so I've just been taking it easy this weekend. Trying to get things ready for taxes - we usually itemize because of DH's medical expenses. It's a pain but it does help. Right now he's working on the ice maker in the freezer. It takes turns spitting out the ice or the cold water but not both. I could care less but it really bugs him. So he has everything out of the freezer working on it. That's one way for me to stay out of the kitchen!!:D

Marti - sorry I missed your birthday, hope it was a good day.

Jane - can I have the recipe for the lemonade cake? Sounds delicious!

Got my hair cut & highlighted yesterday. I take in a highlighting kit & my hairdresser does it for me. Lots cheaper that way. It turned out pretty good, always makes me feel better.

Not much else going on.

Have a great week!

When Brandon was a little younger, some one that we know said that because of his beautiful blue eyes, we were going to have to send him to kindergarten with a package of condoms. Well, he keeps humping everything in sight! He will grab onto either my leg or Tommy’s leg and will go to town. We tell him “Brandon, stop it. That is not being a good boy.”

On another note, since my six week check up, I have lost 14lbs, making it a total of 36lbs since I was last weighed before I had Logan. Only 110lbs more to where I would like to be for my height and I will be a happy girl! I can also slide my pants off while they are still done up, that is how loose they are!

Logan is doing great! He is a happy baby. He loves watching what Brandon does. And when Brandon cries, Logan laughs. He thinks it is the funniest thing ever.

Happy belated birthday Marti!!!

Cristi~ I got to thinking after I typed about the BC issue, and with Brandon we had to pay $10 to get a certified copy of it. (I double checked to make sure it had the raised seal on it the other day) So probably this coming week we will have the extra money to get it. It is on my list of things to get done asap!

Kathy~ Thanks for the good words. I have found that I am loving to exercise more now since I have seen some results. And for some reason I don’t dread doing the exercise. They are my stress reliever after the boys go to bed. Sure….I can bottle up some energy and send it to you!

Christine~ Congrats on your son getting the part. Good luck to him!!!

Christine- true about the fam being far away! Mark's fam is kinda confusing and stressful. His Dad and step Mom live in an RV and they live in AZ for 6 ms and then WA the other 6. He just started speaking to his dad again about 1.5 years ago after 14 yrs of not speaking. His mom lives in AZ as well, and they have just started speaking a few months ago after 1 year of not speaking b/c she was being a control freak and was syaying mean things about me and Allen. Then the people we stayed with are like his other mom and dad b/c he lived with them for quite a while after his mom kicked him out. They are very nice!
Our rental car was a Sebring, great car!
Jane- I was asking my mom the same thing today- why can't I be one of those thin people who can eat whatever they want and stay thin? It's not fair and very discouraging!
Mindee- wow! 36 lbs lost! Great job! I lost 15 after having Allen, but then gained a lot back. Now I'm down again and working to keep at it!

So, trying to get back on track after vaca. I weighed myself today adn I'm up 3.5 lbs. I can't bring myself to change my ticker though. I'm hoping that after a a few good days a couple trips to the gym I'll be back where I was, and maybe less!
I'm so sick of my neighborhood and can't wait to move in a month! Last night I awoke at 130 to some very loud mariachi music. It went on until past 4am! I called the police around 3 and they never came. It's like that all the time here and I'm really sick of it!
I got the pics back from my party and trip and was totally discusted by a picture of me sitting with a friend of mine. I had gotten all dressed up and thought I looked really good, sexy actually. Well in the picture my face looks huge and my gut is roled over my pants! ICK!
Ok, I'm outta here!

I bumped up the recipe #2 thread which has the lemonade cake in post #3. The title is Dreamsicle Cake, but just use lemon instead of orange for the lemonade cake. Yum!

DH got DD's car running. She bought $150.00 in parts and he did the work. He told her for that job she would have paid a garage around $1000.00 just for labor and they would have marked up the parts too and she would still be waiting on her car. He will never take any money from her so she bought him a little Jesse James replica motorcycle as a thank you. He collects them and its something the kids get for him for birthdays and Christmas. They were joking the other day that they are going to have to take some polaroids so they don't buy duplicates. We are soooooo lucky he can fix things for us. She says she still can't wait until she graduates and starts working as a RN so that she can get a cute little sports car. At this point she's dreaming of a 2005 Ford Mustang, a Hyundai Tiburon or a Toyata Celica GT. Convertible would be a plus. Until then she has to stick with the 91 Pontiac Sunbird she bought after working a summer job when she was 15 1/2

Christine--having the kids drive is both a blessing and a curse. You worry about them until they roll in at curfew but they don't mind running errands for you.

This is a quickie for me. I am frustrated with this server is busy crap. Geez, I posted on the challenge thread and hit submit and it took me to the server is busy page and then I couldn't go back. I have been dealing with this for an hour and now don't feel up to posting. of course I don't know if this post will take either so...:crossed:

Hope everyone is having a nice day. I'll try back tomorrow.

Hello ladies--

Not a lot of time to catch up today. James came home last night and brought me a birthday gift. I thought what he did was sweet enough and I didn't need a gift....he bought me a certificate to a salon to get a makeup application and a starter kit for Bare Essentials. I love it!! So sometime soon when I have time, I'm going to go and get it done!

Who knew this man would find such a great gift????

Ok ladies, that's all the time I have for now. I will be back another day!

I could be wrong but I think there are 2 Sarah's?? I am thinking of the one that is from the Bachelors state, very wholesome lady that said she was always friends first before she got romantically involved.
Glad to see you posting btw!

Congrats Christine on your son and his DL :)

It is wonderful staying home during the day :) nowI just need to walk and get ready for 2 hours of the Bach tonight!! Fed done, car washed and life is grand! lol - oh - doug just found out his DIL is going to have twins - yay.

I'm hurt. It started a wuile ago, long story I'll try to make short.
A good friend of mine (since we were 12) and I were working at the same tuxedo shop when I found out I was pregnant. She and I driffted a bit after that. I tried calling her many times and always left messages, but she rarely ever called back. Well, she got married on new Years Eve, didn't invite me. That hurts alot. Now she's moving to Calif. this coming weekend. Never called me or anything. It really upsets me.
I guess I've lost a few friends after getting amrried and having a baby, but some of them it wasn't really a big loss, not such great friends, you know? But this hurts me.

ah Mel, sorry to hear about your friend..same thing happened with me as I bet others can happnened to them. Some friendships last,,,some take a break and others just drift apart.
still stuck with Brandons computer...and struggling with the keyboard. Tried to come on during work but they made it so we can't.
Im feeling better except woke with a sore neck. Been to the chiro,,,and nothing has helped so far. Its barely 7 pm and Im so ready for bed.
The show yesterday was beyong awesome, our leading lady 's boyfriend proposed to her. Lots of tears,,,happy of course. So excited for the both of them.
Not much else happening...
How are you all doing?

Aw - Susan - it's no fun when they want to be friends first, hee hee. I'm chuckling over this Bachelor because its in Paris and as far as I can tell, the French aren't into hot tubs - so half the entertainment value of this show is GONE! But I will get a kick out of watching these gals try to eat escargot and cow brains....the things we do for love, lol BTW - you can just come on over, but you'd have to miss the first hour of the Bachelor while I am glued to 24. Jack Bauer rocks my world. The shiraz will make him even more attractive :)

Mel - so sorry about your friend. I wish it weren't this way, but some friends can't hang with people going through the normal changes of life. I've gained and lost friends through all the biggies...college, jobs, marriage, kids. Just remember the ones who stick with you no matter what are the ones worth having.

Marti - a very belated happy birthday - sounds like you had a good one. I think my brother's company just got the contract for your cafeteria, at least at the former location....small world, eh? He's in entertainment promotion, but there's a catering side to the biz and they just got a big medical contract..so I went hmmm, maybe that's where Marti works.

Hi to everyone else.

Dunno if this will work for everyone, but when I get the "server busy" message, I just click "refresh" and it goes away! Poof!

Hopefully I will have more time to post tomorrow...
