Hello, I'm Cindy in California and I just turned 42 yesterday. YIKES!
I'm not sure how I ended up browsing this site & forum, but thank God for goggle.lol.
Actually I was looking up information on South Beach Diet to see if it was for me and came across the link for 3fatchicks-the name intrigued me to say the least . I was doing atkins a few years back and lost about 30 lbs. But I couldn't stay with it. My Dad and brothers are Atkins converts and have been living it for about 2 years-they've lost tons and have kept it off. Dh and I tried it for about 6 months and still off and on, but I find we are off most of the time
Well I think maybe South Beach might be more for us, so that is what I am leaning towards! I look forward to posting here and working towards my wieght loss goal and a healthier life style. See you on the boards!

I did Atkins way back when it was new...I don't know how I did it at the time but I sure couldn't live like that now. I weaned myself off white flour products years ago and since have always eaten whole grain breads and pastas (unless a situation arises where I don't have another option or don't have a choice) so when 'the beach' came along I knew it was the program for me. I make my own whole grain breads and it's great to have those on a regular basis and be able to enjoy them.

Hi and welcome. I did Atkins a couple years ago and GAINED weight, so I'm a firm converter AWAY from it, LOL. But I've lost 4 lbs in the first week of Phase One so this is working better for me
