Question Core (In a Nutshell)...

Hi you guys!!! I have never heard of WW Core until now so forgive me in advance for my ignorance I am curious to know how it works. Is it just simply counting calories? I have been following the Biggest Loser diet for a week now and have lost 3 pounds. Now...I have only walked 3 times this week because my Mom was diagnosed with terminal Lung Cancer, so that has taken alot of my time up.

I try and stay around 1500 calories a day and eat unprocessed foods. I feel better already, although I do have very strong urges to binge. I work through them by thinking about how my MOm has never taken care of herself and now this...so that puts things back into perspective.

You know what's funny? Normally I over eat when I'm stressed out but since this news of Mom, It really has struck a cord with me and I no longer have the desire to do that to my body anymore! I feel so in-control now. Odd, huh?

I know that I will not join WW because of the exspense but I would like to visit this board if you guys are cool with that.

-Sandy

HI Sandy and welcome!

So sorry to hear about your Mom and good for you for taking heed and taking better care of yourself - what a reality check for all of us when a close family member gets ill.

My mom was diabetic w/heart problems - and died due to complications (in the end her kidneys were failing and she was on dialysis). Having watched that I too realized I was on the wrong path and had to do something to avoid the same quality of life!

Feel free to join us on our chat thread (#36) and have a look at our profiles under the Coreporate profiles thread and fill one out yourself!

Sandy, We are always happy to have new friends join us. Due to Weight Watchers copyright rules, we cannot tell you the in-depth details of the plan. But if you do a little internet surfing there are plenty of sites that are not quite so vigilant of these copyright rules. Also, if you read our menus, posts, and check out the recipes you can probably get the idea anyway!
We're glad to have you!!
