We'd love to have you join us while we talk about our weight loss efforts and our daily lives. So come on in and chat away!! :gossip:

Ran out of time while doing my Bio! I will be back another time.
01-04-2006, 08:59 PM
I did my SLim-n-tone workout--there usually isn't many people there when I go but tonight was fun--there was a lady there that I have met before, a new really funny one and two the just joined and were getting their orientation--we all had a blast--
SIDE NOTE--I truly believe the reason you lose weight while drinking water is the number of trips you have to take to the bathroom--it's a really busy phone time for me so I wait as long as I can and then almost run down a hall that keeps getting longer the more I drink!!!

Sorry, another quickie from me. I am feeling horrible...woke up this morning with a killer sinus headache. Felt better after I took something but have been in and out of it most of the day. Took a long nap but felt even worse when I woke up. I did however, force myself to get in a 3-mile walk, I almost didn't. But decided "I can do it!" sick or not. Anyway, so going to turn in early tonight and hopefully get a lot of sleep/rest and be back tomorrow feeling better to catch up.
Take care ladies and nighty, night.
01-04-2006, 11:40 PM
Susan  :grouphug: :hungry: I will eat my oatmeal with a fork in the morning. And my children ate all the bananas so I won't have any bananas in it either, and the worst part....we don't even have a starbucks to make my day any better. I hope the rest of your day was good. Eifel 65 is the name of the band who sings the song BLUE.
Cristi :grouphug::balloons: I hope that you feel much better soon. Have a good sleep and way to go on doing your walking while you were sick.
Jane:flow2: :goodvibes have fun with the kids. They will be feeling great just because they get to come and see you. Take lots of vitamin c so that you don't catch anything.
Marti :sunny:  When is the big move at work taking place? Do you work shift work or just straight days? When I am done here I will go and read your Bio.
Jule:carrot: :tread: Glad that you had a good time with your workout. It always seems to go much faster and easier when there are people around that make it fun. Tell them all same time tomorrow.
Angie:dance: :beach: Did you enjoy your day off? Are people all stocked up on beer that they don't need to order it from you today? Are you still in the same house that you were in last year or did you guys move to a new house? How is your son feeling today? Hope he is over his sickness.
Mel:ebike: :goodscale That must be a couple pounds of muscle, and when you weigh in next time your hard work will have paid off.
Cristine :D :cb: so was it lean cuisine and wine again tonight?
Katy:angel: :flow1: So did you get all your knitting done? When does the little one get to go back to playschool? Hope you had a good day.
I hope I didn't forget anyone, sorry if I did.
I watched the show the BIggest Loser tonight on tv (while I was working out on the eliptical trainer.) Wow what a good show. It is the first time I have seen it. Gave me inspiration to work out harder. Well DS just came up and informed me that his friend is not spending the night as he has hockey in the morning so I must run him into town. Angie how do you do it???
DD is also waiting for the boyfriend to phone...

Hiya ladies...sorry I've been absent, got a bit overwhelmed with the holidays, I think. :dizzy: Santa brought me an i-pod and a Tinkerbell jewelry box, so I must have been a good girl  :present: We had friends over for an old fuddy-duddy New Year's Eve -- we all played Cranium and Scattergories with the kids, ate not-too-bad for us goodies, and toasted with champagne at midnight. All of us grownups could hardly make it to midnight. We were like, whoo hoo :woo: Happy New Year :tired: 'kay, I'm ready for bed :faint:  It was fun, though -- Cranium is a blast.
Didn't make it to WW for WI this week. Our meeting is 6:30 am Saturday morning (yes, I know, we are crazy, but at least it leaves the rest of our weekend free), and we did make it to WI on Christmas Eve...but woke up this Saturday to howling winds and pouring rain and said, oh no, heck with that. I am just so glad I didn't get called in to work this weekend -- with the horrible weather we had a lot of power outages. Fortunately, they had plenty of volunteers who wanted triple-time for the holiday. Anyway, hope not too much damage was done to my progress between Christmas and New Years. I made it up to Christmas Eve without gaining, but feel like I haven't been really in control since...a little nervous about what the scale will say this week.
Julie, I am also a former Coke addict -- that's Coca Cola, not the other stuff!!! Seriously, though...I used to just have one with dinner. Then one with lunch, and one with dinner. Then one at about 3pm, and one about 10am, and then I started having horrible headaches if I didn't have one first thing in the morning. It was like coffee to me, and I realized I was easily drinking a 6 pack a day without batting an eye. I switched to Diet Dr Pepper -- didn't even used to like regular Dr Pepper much, but the diet stuff is really good. I drink 1 or 2 a day, on rare occassions maybe 3, but I'm not hooked like I was on Coca Cola. :hyper: I didn't have any at all the week we were in Ireland, and missed it a little bit, but I drank a lot of tea instead. :coffee: :coffee2:
Jane, I'm thinking good thoughts that you stay healthy for your trip! :goodvibes I hope you have a wonderful time at WDW. We are really looking forward to Disneyland, even though it's probably crazy to go on Spring Break.
Marti, I think gypsy hair is so cool, and such a compliment. Sounds exotic, and sultry, and sexy! Much better than my omg-what-a-mess-hippie-hair :D
Angie, hope you and the boys liked Narnia. We loved it. Have you ever read the series? I've read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe at least 30 times since I was a little kid. The other books in the series are great, too.
Hi to all the rest of you ladies, I'd post more but I am sooooooo beat. Fortunately I have tomorrow off. Erik, my oldest, is home on leave for a few weeks, and I have to pick him up at the airport tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing him again, it's been over a year.
Talk to you soon,
01-05-2006, 03:42 AM
welcome to all the new members!
I am going off to update my bio......
01-05-2006, 10:20 AM
Good morning, ladies!!
Marti - I did my Gazelle yesterday. While watching Dr. Phil. One thing about the Gazelle - it's very quiet!
Cristi - hope you're feeling better today. You are really dedicated to walking to have done your 3 miles yesterday. What an inspiration!
Julie - as your body gets used to the water intake, your potty breaks will slack off somewhat. That's something to look forward to, right?
Kathy - I noticed the Biggest Loser reruns are on some channel. Hey, I remember the days of being a taxi service for the kids. My son was so much older than the youngest, he was able to help a lot, thank goodness.
MaryKate - I've wondered about the Cranium game. Looks fun! Our pastor recommended the Narnia author during one of his sermons, but I've never read any of the books. Now you've got me wanting to. Walmart (or Target?) has the box set, so maybe I'll get them. Enjoy your day off.
Mindee - good to see you back! Oh now, I bet you'll have another baby next year! <Jane is doing a fast duck now!> Tee hee
Neal and I both had trouble sleeping last night. Not sure why, but that's been going on for awhile. I think we're both a little worried about Katie leaving. Plus, post-menopausal women are said to sleep less. So I got up, ate some peanut butter toast that was NOT part of my calorie limit. What's wrong with me, anyway????? Today is a new day, though, and I'm going to do better.
It's gloomy in Indiana, and I'll be glad to see the Florida sunshine this weekend!
See ya' later, ladies.....
01-05-2006, 11:07 AM
Morning Ladies--break time --already drank over 2 16 oz Dasani's and been down the hallway several times--caffienne headache still thumping but a little less intense.
Jane--I can't wait for the walks to the bathrooom to slow down, but wait then I'll have to exercise more to make up for all those mini powerwalks!! Have fun in the sun. I think the trouble sleeping is trying to contain the anticipation of seeing Mickey! Florida sounds good in the middle of winter!
Crisit--hope your feeling better--everyone here at work is sick and it's one of the old buildings from the 80's that are called "sick buildings" because the air is just recycled from one department to the next with very little fresh air included which just tends to circulate the germs and add to it that the filters are not changed as often as they should be.
Marykate--It is the Coca-cola product not what used to be in it in the original formula (HeHe!) From what I hear if it was addicted to the other stuff--I wouldn't be the size I am !!! I too was going through more than I care to admit and I know there alot of points when you do WW. I tried doing the diet Coke and I actually like the Diet Coke with Lime, but they make me crave the real stuff---I'm such a junkie!!! I do like tea especially Chai. Enjoy your son!
Marti--come back and talk to us soon!!!
Kathy--actually the two new girls asked me if I would be back tonight! There are nights I go in and it's just me and the owner--but she is a blast to be around!! Treasure the days of driving your kids around and them on the phone constantly--mine are both out of the house and I am still sufferring from kid withdrawal on top of my Coka-Cola addiction!!!
Mindee--your kids are too cute!!
EM--WHERE ARE YOU!!!
01-05-2006, 11:33 AM
I hope you feel better Cristi!! That you walked 3 miles not feeling well is awesome, take care of yourself though!
Welcome back Mindee!! Logan looks adorable :) and Brandon is a cutie too! I am glad you are back posting , missed you.
Isn't earing oatmeal with a fork the greatest Kathy?? Where do you live that you don't have a Starbucks though??? :fr: I made a pot of coffee this morning and it was horrid. I don't think I will ever get use to pot coffee- the taste is barfy!
I had oatmeal and only walked 1.5 miles in my socks. I woke up with a cold sore, lovely!!!!
Gave Gaby a bath last night and she was out of her mind tired. It was a bubble bath and she cried she wanted more bubbles!! It was up to her chin. I said "that is enough!!! You are too tired for a bubble bath!! Out!!" and she cried some more. Poor thing.
I better get to work.Chat later
01-05-2006, 01:18 PM
Mindi- your avatar is cute! Lokks a lot like my siggy pic!
So I had a bad night last night! I was in the garage and slipped and smacked my face on the van! Twisted my knee pretty bad too. My face is all purple and swelled up. My glasses are bent . . . I look like I got into the bar fight or something! I'm just a klutz!
Susan- walked in your socks?? Huh?
All those Coke (a cola) addicts- I'm addicted to Diet Dew! Hard to quit! I think we need soda drinkers anonymous!
01-05-2006, 01:36 PM
On the treadmill , not outside - lol I doubled them. Still have the sore on the heel for shoes.
01-05-2006, 03:12 PM
Not much going on...sicker than a dog today, worse than yesterday. I even sletp till almost 11! :yikes: I couldn't believe it when I looked at the clock but that's how bad I feel today. Still going to try and get my exercise in though...can't let a minor thing like feeling like I am going to die, stop me! Especially after reading everyone's posts, can't let my jaded ladies or myself down. Anyway, we'll see. I am definitely moving in slow mo. I did get my vitamins taken, and half my water down so far. Now...let's see if I can remember what everyone said on the last thread.
MARTI...about the stamps...yeah they have the 2 cent stamps. As a matter of fact I got 100 2 weeks ago and still need more. I didn't get a lot of Christmas stamps but have a lot of others. Still need more I'm afraid. V said "You don't need that many, do you?" I pulled the stamps out and showed him! Of course I went to the post office Monday to mail some stuff and thought I would get some while there and they were all out.
KATY...ditto here...I would have to average about 1400-1500 cals or even less to lose. For me I think exercise is the key.
MINDEE...:welcome2: back! We missed you! How's the little rugrats doing? Took a gander at some of the pics and Logan looks big for just 2 months! He is a cutie pie though, as is Brandon! And...I like your hair in the one pic...did you get a perm? It looks good.
SUSAN...I too would make a point of asking the babysitter why and where Gaby came up with that. You had me laughing, picturing you in the kitchen eating oatmeal from the pot with a fork! Silly girl. I'm glad I'm not a coffee drinker...it's smells really good to me but I can't stomach the taste. And we only got a Starbucks here last year I believe, and they are always packed so it must be good. Oh, and be careful walking on the treadmill without the proper shoes missy, you could do more damage than good. I forgot to put my walking shoes on the other day and started out with my thongs on and man did my feet hurt. I was just lazy an didn't want to go back upstairs to get them. So be careful!
JANE...I like that song by Rod Stewart...and the sexy one too. Actually, I like all of his music and have been wanting to get his newest CD's, where he sings the old music. Just love his voice. WTG on being on POP! Sorry, you and Neal haven't been able to sleep good. I bet it is Katie leaving. When I knew Josh was leaving I was that way. In the beginning I was fine. But the closer it got to the actual day, I was a mess. And right after he left too, until I finally heard that he was fine. I don't think one peanut butter toast will do too much damage to your calorie counting.
KATHY...my energy the other day was zapped by 4 p.m.! I had to take a nap because I was feeling exhausted. Love, PINK! I actually even liked her when she had pink hair, just thought it was so pretty. I have Just Like A Pill on my cell for one of the rings. I started watching Biggest Loser and got busy with other things I missed it. :(
MARYKATE...I was wondering if you guys were affected by all that rain, hopefully not. Hey, you've done an awesome job so far so you shouldn't beat yourself up too much about the holidays. That is...if you have gained anything. I saw your ticker and noticed you've lost 25 pounds so you are doing GREAT! Keep up the good work! Enjoy your time with Eric! I'm not sure when we will see Josh again.
JULES...hopefully you are not in the sick building! That just sounds terrible. Ditto about the trips to the potty! Geez, I keep waiting fo rthe trips to slow down but like you said, that's exercise there just going!
ANGIE...I've not seen the movie, nor have I read those books. Never been into those kind of movies. I didn't even see The Lord of The Rings or any of the Harry Potter ones, and everyone said they were good. Hope you guys enjoyed it though. About the song...I am going to check it out. I am pretty sure I know what it is though but want to see if it would be a good exercise song.
MEL...WTG on the 1.5 hour workout! WOOHOO :carrot: YGG! About the stretch marks...I'm still waiting for mine to go away! Maybe when I lose the weight they will fade, either than or I'll have my own road map on my belly!
Hi to everyone else!
Can't remember who all were saying they are/were addicted to coke...I was addicted to Dr Pepper and now can't stand the stuff. I had gone to the laundromat years ago because my washer broke down. Wanted something to drink and went for a DP and they were all out. Tried to get my money back, nothing. So I started pushing the other buttons and everything was out except Diet Coke. Let me tell ya...I was so thirsty and it was cold I downed it. That was in 1997 and I have been drinking it since! Sometimes I would drink a 2 ltr bottle a day! :yikes: I've cut back a lot but still have to have it. But now, I make sure I get my water in also. Anyway...need to go do something and then lay down I think. I hate sleeping so much, I feel like I am just wasting away but it's the only thing that helps. See ya ladies later!
01-05-2006, 05:41 PM
I'm so frustrated! My computer is so slow right now that it's taking so much time to load the pages!! I'm going to have James look at it and when it's fixed, I'll catch up!
(and here I was doing so well!!)
I'll be back later if I can!
01-05-2006, 07:59 PM
Susan--try Abbreva for your cold sore--it really works
Mel--my DD is as klutzy as you...she currently has a black eye from playing with a friends ST Bernard
Crisiti-- I hope you feel better soon!!! I hate sinus infections!!! Everytime I get one anymore it goes straight to my ears and I end up with an earache--not good to not be able to hear when 80% of my job is answering the phone...I am working in the "sick building" I went to a health food store and am taking a probiotic--it's supposed to be good for the immune system--I guess it's working as I haven't been sick except my allergies unless you count this stupid headache I have had for three days now! I also am on perscription Allegra 180 & Flonase.
Hope to see you soon Marti!!
Hi to everyone else!
01-05-2006, 08:08 PM
I am all out of time. I checked in on the challenge this a.m. then oohed and aahed over those cute baby pix Mindee put up on her site. I updated my bio - and now DS needs to play a game! So just wanted to say hi and have a great evening. I hope to have more time to "chat" with individuals tomorrow..
01-05-2006, 08:17 PM
susan, good to know. Otherwise you'd be "that lady" who runs around in socks! LOL!
Cristi- hope you feel better soon! Wow, holy sleeping! It's good for you when you're sick though. Drink lots!
Jules- Oh, I'm terrible! I've damaged myself so many times in my life, I'm surprised that I'm not glued together!
And my face is REAL pretty right now! Yick! All puffy on one side and purple and blue . . .
Poor Allen is sick, maybe croup. We're going to the doc tomorrow, hopefully he can give him something for that terrible barking cough! And at night, he sounds like a little piggy b/c his nose is so congested.
01-06-2006, 06:06 AM
Good morning, ladies! TGIF :D
Cristi - I got the candle and card yesterday. Ohhhh it smells soooo good! No wonder you love it! Thank you so very much. Neal bought 100 2˘ stamps yesterday and said the clerk told him her last customer came in and bought a bunch of 37˘ ones - wanted to stock up before the price went up. :lol3: Yes, I think I'll sleep a lot better when I know "the baby" is all settled and doing fine in Florida. Hope you're feeling much better today!
Jules - glad the headaches are letting up a bit. Today will be better. Neal and I are switching to decaf tea. Just bought a box yesterday. Although I drink water all day long, from dinner until bedtime I drink tea. Might be a problem.
Susan - only last year did Vincennes get a Starbucks. Well, there is a mini one on campus, but none of the locals would go there. I don't go to either one, but Katie does.
Mel - yikes, glad you didn't break anything! Did you fall? Hope the bruises are better today. Be careful, missy!
Marti - I'm wondering if installing more memory to your hard drive would help the computer's speed. Betcha it would, and it's affordable now, compared to a few years ago.
Katy - hiya!
Lots to do today. Neal and I are going to go running errands. We're meeting Katie at the bank to get her some traveler's checks (she has to sign them) and will probably do lunch out. DS and his family are coming by tonight to tell Katie goodbye since Saturday will be too busy for her.
I was much better OP yesterday. Putting a tablespoon of almonds or walnuts on a salad sure does jazz it up. I think they'd be good in oatmeal, too. With a spoon, or a fork, lol.
Gotta run... you have a good day, ok?
01-06-2006, 11:03 AM
Below is an email from Mike's mother. Think I should just ignore her in regards to Mike??? How should I respond , if at all???
Understand Mike sent Gaby some clothes for Christmas - hope they fit - gave him the sizes you provided - he went out and bought items in all the wrong sizes - had to take everything back and get others in the proper sizes
01-06-2006, 11:41 AM
Jane~ You don’t have to duck….every body keeps asking us when we are going to try for a girl….we keep saying that they can try for us cause we are done.
Jules~ Thanks for the nice words about Brandon and Logan.
Susan~ How are you doing girl? Thanks for the welcome back….it is good to be back online again.
Mel~ Thanks for those nice words. Brandon was about a year old in that picture. From the way you described the barking cough…sounds like Croup to me. Brandon had it last Christmas. Logan got the beginning of it after he got his two month shots last week.
Cristi~ Thanks for the welcome back. The little rugrats are doing good. Brandon decided to eat some Desitin Creamy this morning, so we had to call the Poison Control. Logan is a lot bigger then Brandon was when he was 2 months old. They look so much alike that it is very cool to see. Yes I did get a perm…thanks for noticing. I got it done the day after 4th of July.
Marti~ it is good to see you. I hope you can get the computer fixed soon!
Katy~ Thanks for checking out the boys.
01-06-2006, 12:58 PM
Hi Mindee. I wondered where you went. Get pregnant and.........like you have a life or something!! lol Great to have you back though. Time goes so fast.....
Just stressed on the job. Cold sore still there and I didn't walk this morning because of proper footwear!! I feel bloated and basically an overall failure. lol jk
I watched Dancing with the Stars last night with Gaby. We ate white cheddar cheetos! Yum. I did have 2 lo cal beers. I will be ever so LUCKY to get down 2 pounds this week. I don't feel on track at all.
Did I say I am pmsing?? gawd.....give me a break!!
I woke up to Gaby crying over a towel. I was up at 1:30 washing because we were out (we only have 4 - seems to be a pattern;0) and so I folded and stacked on the couch and when Gaby wakes up she sees them and is thrilled. Very easy child to please. You think we have never used a towel before........anyway. I go to get a shower and she won't let me use one. After the shower though I grabbed one from the pile saying " I need to get dry Gaby"
She starts crying "my towel, I love that towel"..............over an over - for 20 minutes at least. argh....
better get. I am back logged!!!
01-06-2006, 02:16 PM
ugh..............what happened to my ticker??
01-06-2006, 02:20 PM
Talk amoung yourselves.....I am totally annoyed with my ticker at the moment.
01-06-2006, 02:27 PM
Reall Susan, what happened to your ticker?
It's still on the post a few above, that's weird!
01-06-2006, 03:04 PM
Feeling much better today but sinuses are draining and it's not so great. Was good enough to go do a little bit of shopping. Had a gift card that was burning a hole in my purse! So I found some shirts and jammies at Penney's that I like. Don't want to buy too many clothes though since I plan on losing more weight. While at the mall I went to get some candles at Yankee candle store, was totally out. Ended up having to order the Wedding Day scent online, thinking about going back and getting some more.
SUSAN...not sure what is going on with the ticker. It looks like it should be there because there is a big gap. :dunno: About the e-mail...I definitely would say something, because almost everything sent to Gaby was too big!
MARTI...ditto what Jane said. We need to clean a lot of stuff of ours and get more space, it definitely makes a difference.
JANE...glad you got the candle, bad news though. While at the store today, the lady told me the Wedding Day scent was retired last month! :( I went online and they still have some and the good news is they were on sale. So I ordered 20 votives and 5 boxes of the tealights. I'm thinking about going back and getting more. I told the lady "I don't know how I'm gonna live without those!" I do like the raspberry cream so that may replace it when they are all gone, boohoo. I was thinking about what you said and trying something that another jaded lady uses...you mentioned the Sarah Lee bread not too long ago and I had to try it. Now I buy nothing else. I tried the 100% whole wheat and it is sooo good and have been buying it for a few months now. Have been That is just too funny...stocking up on the 37 cent stamps before they go up-WHAT??? Too funny!
MEL...I forgot to even say anything about your fall, so sorry about that. Hope you are feeling better. And poor little Allen, hope he is feeling better. I hate to see the little ones sick. DH asked me last night if it was the medicine making me sleepy or if I was just really sleepy. I'm not sure what it was but I did a lot of sleeping. Feeling better today and not so sleepy, yet anyway.
JULES...flonase is good, have some of that and had to use it Wednesday night to help me sleep. Sorry you have to work in the sick building and I hope you stay healthy.
Hi to MINDEE, KATY, MARYKATE, EM, CHRISTINE, SUE, CONNIE, KATHY, and anyone I may have missed! Can't keep up!
I guess I'll get going and go do my bio, almost forgot about doing it. Not much else going on. Not going to do any exercise today. Feeling better, but not so great to do anything. I did get in a little walk at the mall. :D
Take care ladies and have a GREAT weekend!
P.S.- JANE...in case I don't get back on before you leave...be safe and enjoy your trip. Give Katie lots of hugs!
01-06-2006, 03:43 PM
Hey Cristi -
If I say something about the clothes it would be like this.......
Yes, I received 2 boxes one came from his lady friend and one came from Vancouver. I didn't know he moved(??????) suppose to tell me!I am sure he had the lady friend pick the clothing out and wrap them..... I am sure he just stood by and resented his cig money was being used for *gasp* clothes for his off spring.
Anyway, there was a nice Columbia pink coat, rubber duckies and a cute dress -I was going to use for her 4 year old pictures.Otherwise I returned most of what was sent. It was either too large or "weather inappropriate" - meaning t-shirts , also they looked more for a 10 year old. So, back they went, along with all that underwear!! I am sure he meant well but he hasn't seen her in 7 months and really doesn't know her style!! UGH, men........maybe next time suggest a gift card?? I can buy her horses and string cheese that she loves with it.Thanks!!!
ya.............where the heck is my ticker!! waaaaaaa
01-06-2006, 03:44 PM
Hey! Your ticker is gone too Cristi!! YAY....... I feel better!! lol
01-06-2006, 03:47 PM
omg!! My ticker is back!! Gawd, this is waaaaay too emotional for me.....lol. better get off and get back to work!
01-06-2006, 03:48 PM
waaaa, now it is gone again!! I am going to have a nervous breakdown! hehe
01-06-2006, 03:50 PM
What the heck is going on with the tickers Susan?! I just noticed mine was gone too but I don't see yours!
I think the email would be fine, she needs to know, and especially Mike! Geez, or send gift cards next time.
01-06-2006, 03:52 PM
I just posted my bio and it was there. Would have never known it was gone here unless you mentioned it. That's weird....
P.S.-it's back again!! Okay gotta get going, don't get too stressed Susan, it will be okay.
01-06-2006, 04:26 PM
About my computer issues. It has to do w/James' programs he's been playing with. Anyone heard of Brice, Poser, or Das?? You can create animated pictures and stuff and that's what he's been doing. And when he starts rendering, that's what slows the computer. Once he's done....it's back to normal. (time to get a second computer for me????:D )
Since I've got to get moving a leave early(I think time has been set on FAST FORWARD SO MARTI CAN'T KEEP UP) :dizzy: I won't be doing individuals until after work when I can spend more time to each.
I haven't started anything for that challenge yet!! I wanted to get on my gazelle, but I did something to my knee at work and it's swollen. (did I smack it on something??) So I'm going to start it Sunday, hopefully it'll be better.
We're close to moving to the new building. I keep wanting to call it Sony, but it's now the RBA River Bend Annex. James of coarse calls it Really Big Arse. But not arse.....:)
As for your tickers...let me go see what's up and I'll get back to you as soon I find out.
Best get going. I will post later on tonight......and do my individuals.
01-06-2006, 05:45 PM
I haven't eaten anything today! I did have my oatmeal and a pack of crackers out of the vending but otherwise , nothing. I forgot lunch.
Weigh in is tomorrow! YAY......
Rebecca turns 13 on Sunday, she is so pretty. Flunking math right now.
I have to make this quick... I won't be able to post again before I take off. Too much last minute stuff to do tomorrow. Be good and I'll check in Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, depending on how tired I am.
I'll be sure to tell Mickey the Jaded Ladies said hi. :D

Just poping in, it's been a rough day. Allen has croup and an ear infection. We didn't get any sleep last night! Hoping Mark will stay home tomorrow and help me out.
I ate chex mix for breakfast and lunch. Had a lean cuisine for dinner. I'm straving right now!

Having some problems posting - everytime I hit a key the computer does very strange things. Good thing I don't have a ticker.
Got home really late so just wanted to say hi, and tell Jane to have a great time. Make a list of places we should go when we go in March.
Cristi I am so glad that you are feeling better.
Marti, isn't your anniversary coming soon? Theres a present idea for him.
Mel, hope the little guy gets better quick. Mine just got over croup.
Susan shes 13 already? Boy they grow way to quick don't they? Cole's new saying is "Mommy, I need you." then I say what do you need me for and he says - Just to be with me. Doesn't he know how to keep me wrapped around his finger?
Hi to everyone else, I must run and try and get my dishes finished so that I can go to bed.

Good evening ladies,,,
Geesh its been two days and you ladies have been chatty.
Jane, I know your gone,,but still wishing a good and safe trip. And all the best to Katie. I know the two of you will miss her terribly. Explains the sleepless nights
Cristi, glad to know you are feeling better. And I was in the Linen N things and saw Wedding Day candles,,so I bought two voltives. And will go back to buy the cookies. I opened one and put it in the bag of wool I would be crochetting into a scarf...made it smell pretty.
Kathy, Brandon won't get his drivers license so I do alot of driving,,,and with Tanner being so busy. *sigh I spend alot of money on gas. We live in the deep south and everything he is into is deep sw. You youngest is already seeing what he can do with simple words,,,,lol ITs been slow at work...too slow Im loosing my mind. Are you still with HW9?
Mindee Welcome back and congrats.
Em...where are you?
Mel,,,I would have to be the biggest klutz,,,or used to be,,,the older I get the better I am at maintaining my ground. Of course less then 7 months ago i broke my foot falling off a throne. But its been years since I really hurt myself,,,ok it was 2 years..tore my rotary cuff. Hope Allen feels better once the drugs kick in. Take a nice hot shower and then let him sit in the steam.
Yes Marti its time. lol Thats what happened here,,,Brandon took over with his games so we told him no more, he went out and bought his own.
Katy,,,Im addicted,,,Ive been trying out different wools...tu tu is the newest, and not bad to work with,,,HATE fun fur. i can't see it to work with it. I may one day graduate to bigger things then just scarves. Ive got 6 made in 2 weeks.
Katie, I want to try that game Cranium. I bought Monte the Divinci Codes game,,,Im waiting for us to play. Same with us about new years eve,,,barely made it to midnight.
Hey Jules,,I admit Im still drinking coke. I can't drink the diet,,(aspertame) the coke zero Ive heard isn't bad,,,not sure though...agian aspertame.
Susan, eating oatmeal with a fork would be like eating with chop sticks wouldn't it? I should eat with chop sticks,,,take forever and possibly just give up...lose alot of weight that way. Poor Gaby,,,just so cute. When you come to Vegas,,,bring and empty suitcase,,,Ill bring all the extra towels and silverwear I have. Ive been saving everything for when Brandon moves but hes informed not to bother,,,he won't be leaving,,,and if he does he will buy everything...k whatever. Happy Birthday to Rebecca.
Haven't done much last two days,,,crocheting scarves. Sniffing Wedding Day candles,,,work. I chopped my bangs down an inch so i can see...thats about it.
well I should get to bed...night all

Sorry for not posting in a few days:p Sometimes life just gets in the way.
My hubby is re doing our bathroom and the house is dusty and smells of plaster paint. I hate when he starts these 'little' projects in the winter but.......i love when they are done;)
Trying to stay away from the wine but not doing so good in the area......the other night i kinda 'drank my dinner' but got back on track yesterday.......as I had to work and then the grand girls had dance classes.....NO TIME FOR much wine.........
We got the Incredibles to watch for after classes .......both girls fell asleep and my hubby and I enjoyed it with out them :D

Christine--DH and I have some projects in the works--waiting until spring though so the windows can be opened. I was drinking my daily allotment in Coke so I know what you are saying about drinking your calories. As far as the wine--it's hard not to finish a whole bottle once the cork is popped, but what about getting those cute little four packs of your favorite wine? It would only be a single serving and might help...what do you think?
Angie--I am a candle sniffer too!!! I am actually not craving the Coke anymore and I am reaching for water when I am out. It does get easier..
Kathy--I hate when the computer acts up..
Mel--hope little Allen feels better soon
Jane--even though you can't read this--hoping you have a great time
Marti--I have knee problems too--my right knee cap still sits too high from a motorcycle accident that happenned almost two years ago (end of April 2004)--good luck with the gazelle--instead of doing Nutri-system--I am taking the money and investing in a elliptical and have already bought a Sonoma Diet book--looks like a way of eating that I can do and hubby won't feel deprived and I won't have to cook a separate meal for him to be tempted by while I eat out of a cardboard box..
Susan--they grow up way too fast--13 wow get ready for the mood swings!! My DD is good at math and science--she's an overachiever and perfectionist like her dad-- A "C" stands for crisis, "D" is for devastation and we don't say the "F" word!! DS was good at history, art, creative writing--very bad at math & science. If Rebecca is the creative type--encourage it!!
Cristi--hope your feeling better!!!
EM--I say it again...WHERE ARE YOU!! I miss you...
Hi to everyone else!!

Good morning! Here I am up at the crack of dawn....but , hey, sometimes that's the only time I can get "my turn" at the computer.
OK- major weirdness yesterday. I was the parent teacher at my daughter's preachool, which is located in a church basement. Well, our basement floods sometimes, which has been an ongoing issue between our school and our church landlords. It was flooded yesterday and the head teacher just sighed and said "Call Viktor ( the church contact for maintenance) I've been talking alot to him lately" We cleaned up and went on about our morning. Later in the morning, the kids were playing upstairs in the multipurpose room, and I stayed downstairs to clean up. This guy walks into the classroom and looks around, makes a comment about no kids, then head back to the flooded area. Ok, that's Viktor, I think to myself....then I thnk, wait a minute.. that's VIKTOR! I ran back there and said, "Viktor?" "Yes?" "It's me! Katy! Prom Date!" Yes - the guy that my school has been working with on church issues all these years was my high school prom date (my-very-platonic-just-friends-prom-date)....what a morning. We had a nice time catching up...and of course I have to go to a board meeting next week where I am sure my dirty little secret will be out, hee hee.
Jane - I know you are gone by now, so hope you have a great trip and can't wait to hear all about Katie's new adventure.
Christine - I hear you about the wine, girlfriend. I broke down and drank some wine last night as I had the house to myself for awhile to veg and knit, and wine just seemed to go with it. I have to watch it, because I eat too much when I am drinking wine, and that happened last night.
Marti - I saw some great sales on the Dell website - notebooks for 500. I am tempted, but we decided to get the yearly membership to the community center instead. Maybe in the next year, we might be able to get a laptop. I think it would be nice for watching DVDs in the car on long trips, plus the kids could play CDROMS as well.
Angie - I also hate fun fur... what an overrated product. My MIL made some cute stuff for Leigh with that and it sheds all over everything. I finished the beret and wavy scarf. Now I am working on finish the lacy leaf scarf. I really want this done, but it's taking longer 'cause it's a lace pattern.
Hi Kathy, Mel, and Susan!
Susan - can't believe Rebecca is 13....I think she was still at Maplewood when I joined JLs, time sure flies by.
Cristi - Glad you're feeling better!
Have a great day everyone!
01-07-2006, 09:17 AM
Hey - missed you Jules - Hope you have a great day, too!
01-07-2006, 12:08 PM
Here I am trying to wake up. Worked late last night (so very busy) and didn't get to bed until 5:00. I had to set my alarm so I can get up and get ready....today is familiy open house at our new building. I'm going to go pick up Jhanai and take her to tour the company. James is out of town so he won't be going.
I'm so tired that I have a splitting headache! Why did they have to make this hard on the night shift people????
Anyway, I (ONCE AGAIN) apologize for not getting in here and doing personals. I'm going to try later on this evening when I get back and have taken a nap!
Better get my "gypsy" hair all untangled....
Be back later.
01-07-2006, 12:40 PM
Good Morning - grrrrrrrr
Don't like the ticker thing, what a lame site - lets go somewhere else!! lol - jk
Jane - pssssst - everyone thinks you are gone but I know you are still here - lol
ok, I am in a pissy mood with 2 weeks of lousy perky coffee. I am saving $$$ but is is worth it?? I can't even get a buzz off of it!! Waste of my time!!
Anyway, I am down to 163, a 1.5 loss........but you don't know that do you??? You can't see my ticker!! lol I won't complain BUT I am really not happy with that-waaaaa - waaaaa
Anyway - spending my weekend thinking what a 13 year old wants for her birthday - besides an ipod. She was given the go ahead to play in her basketball game today if she attends homework group after school on T/Th.
I think she was in Maplewood Katy.......she is about to get her braces off- pretty girl. Maybe I will go to Michael's and get her a scrapbook kit - she might enjoy putting pictures in an album???
better get - bee line for Starbucks!! Lean Cuisine sounds good today - something beefy???? lol
k- ummmm, I guess that is it!! Hi to all :)
01-07-2006, 12:55 PM
:welcome: Hi everyone!
Sorry it's been awhile, but between work, babysitting DGD, and a nasty intestinal thing going on, :barf: I haven't felt up to being at the computer. Hope eveyrone is doing well.
:welcome: to Christine!
Taking down all the Christmas decorations this weekend. Next weekend DS & girlfriend will be here & I want the house back to "normal" (whatever that is!!)
Haven't been getting much sleep lately because of a variety of health problems, so I'm hoping to catch up this weekend.
My mom is doing so much better with the shingles - thanks for all the well-wishes. There was no scarring on the pupil of the eye thank heavens! She has a way to go, but is sooooo much better.
DH has been having some bad days, hopefully it's temporary. Our weather is so gloomy & rainy, really strange for this time of year. We haven't had any sunshine for at least two weeks or more. Doesn't help anybody's mood.
Time to start the laundry & keep on with the de-decorating!

Hello ladies and a good Saturday to you!
Not much going on, being lazy today trying to recuperate still. Thought I had allergies but think it is a head cold. Never can tell half the time. I know they say if your snot is clear it's allergies and if it is yellow or green  eeeewww, it's a cold, but what if it is both?! It's my sinuses for sure but turned into a cold so taking something for sinus/cold and getting plenty of rest. So much for my to do list!
MARTI...thanks for the link, although I didn't think it was such a big deal about the ticker not showing. May want to rethink my sig since the ticker won't show up but once on a page.
SUSAN...WTG on the loss! :bravo: Hey, why not treat yourself maybe twice a week on the coffee. You would still be cutting back but still have a treat twice a week. Tell REBECCA HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hope she has a fun one.
CONNIE...good to hear from you and glad to hear your mom is better.
JULES...gonna have to check out the Sonoma Diet and see what it's all about. Even though I've sworn off buying another diet book. There's been a lot of talk about it.
ANGIE...all this time I thought Brandon had his license. Hey, don't let him go too far with out getting it! Carrie still doesn't have hers and is in no hurry to do so. She will be 22. But she is driving with a permit, her third to be renewed. I think they tired of her goin gin so much they renewed it for a year last time! I thought most teenagers were in a hurry to drive when they were old enough, I know I was! I sniff candles also! LOL When I burn the candles down and the wax around the wick is left I will sometimes put that was in the closet, a drawer, a cabinet, etc. to keep things smelling good. And I absolutely LOVE the Wedding Day scent as you all know, lol!
KATY...how funny that he was your prom date! I bet you guys had a lot of catching up to do.
CHRISTINE...can't tell you how many times I typed Christina! LOL Which happens to be my name but without the 'h'. I've seen the Incredibles on a few times but have yet to watch it, I've heard it's good though.
Hi to everyone else.
Sorry but I've lost my train of thought. I went to have my mammogram Wednesday and just received a letter in the mail (they always send the results via mail) from the Breast Center. Vince handed it to me and said the rest of the mail is junk and he didn't know what this was. I said it's the results fromt he other day, I have breast cancer. Of course I was kidding, maybe shouldn't have. They found something and want me to schedule an appointment. Now...I know it may be nothing but at the same time I think we always jump to conclusions and think the worst, which is what I keep doing. Trying to think positive because there's nothing to worry about until I am told there is-breast cancer doesn't run in our family so that's a plus. So wish me luck ladies while I stew over this the next few days before I can get in and see what's up.
Take care and have a great weekend!

Almost forgot, have a question for Susan and anyone else who may know:
My friend is just getting back to dating and tried an online dating service but hasn't had much luck, does anyone know of an online dating service? She's with E-harmony and a catholic one. I know you met Rocky online Susan and was just wondering where. If anyone has any ideas or knows of someone who has had luck with any let me know please, and thank you in advance.
01-07-2006, 05:40 PM
Thanks Cristi. I think Starbucks on the weekends is a nice thought. I don't really have time to stop by one Mon/Fri.
I had a bacon cheeseburger and feel extreme pleas,,,,,,,I mean guilt!!! What was I thinking?? lol dang -
Going to watch 40 year virgin....movie.
Hi Connie :)
I met Rocky 5 years ago on a Yahoo parent group and we started talking on the phone Fall of 2004 - course we met in Nov 2004 and he was in Oregon July 2005......and I go back in April.
I met men from the Yahoo personals. I like the EHarmony idea. I met mostly wackos on the free ads -lol
I don't like the personals overall. Just never worked and I think emotionally I didn't do myself any good. I think meeting people in person while doing things you already enjoy is my best advice. Unless they just want to get out and have fun and don't take it too seriously.
01-07-2006, 07:18 PM
My sister met her ex online. They dated for 3 years and broke up b/c he was previously married and didn't want to mary again. She went through the same site and met her husband! You never know!
I was SO furiated last night after reading an article in a magazine. It was called "How Celebs Just Start Their Bikini Body". They showed super people and then told how to get their "figure." One of the pics was of Jessica Alba in a bikini and every bone in her body was showing! Why are they promoting that?
Another article I read was about how Jennifer Garner is depressed about her post baby body. who isn't? Her trainer says that she needs to be bikini-ready in 4 months! Hello!!!!! I'm still woking off that baby weight 6 mos later! Hollywood disgusts me!!
Aside from that, we're running on no sleep due to the fact that Allen is sick. He's feeling better today, so I'm hoping he goes down good tonight!
01-07-2006, 08:35 PM
I am going to get Gaby to bed. I just wanted to add that I didn't get 5 minutes into 40 Virgin before I turned it off. I don't like that kind of humor. I did watch Grizzly Man a documentary- excellent, remarkable must see! I really enjoyed watching it.
k- that is my review - lol
da fat n da furious
01-07-2006, 09:20 PM
Mel,,,Im still working on my post baby fat too...of course hes 18 yrs 3.5 months old. Whos counting...lol I personally find the ladies that have curves more appealing to look at and don't find bones proturding all that great. And really,,,if there was a poll done I bet anything people(men) would raither see curves then sticks.
Katy,,,went and bought more yarn,,,*sigh I feel like an addiction coming on. Funny you should meet up with your prom date,,,Id started nasty rumor...like you and the maintenance guy go way back....
Cristi,,,I do the same thing! I take all my old candles and stick them in a baggie with lil holes punched in it and place it in my walk in closet. What I should do is buy some wicks and try to make a new candle with the left overs.
Marti,,,poor you,,,I hate night shifts and feel it is so unhealthy for a person to be up like that. Get some sleep/rest
Anyways I should finish dinner...Ill be back later...no thats not a threat...its a promise...lol
01-07-2006, 09:48 PM
Hello! I"m back and I even took a 2hr nap! SO needed one.
Tour was good, I enjoyed it, Jhanai on the other hand....was bored out of her mind like all the other poor children that we all dragged to this!:) I'm so looking forward to the move now. I've been on a tour before, but it was before they had things put in such as our stations. Now I know what my workspace looks like and all that. And boy, talk about the lighting! I think I'm going to have to really pay attention to the makeup! They might see all my flaws!:o
Lets see if I can finally catch up!
Cristi--My thoughts are w/you that the results you got back are all normal and nothing to worry about!! Wish I could be w/you in person to give you a hug and to hold your hand. So...since I'm not, I'm sending all positive thoughts! Your idea for the candle wick.....I never thought of doing that! What a great idea! I should store some in my boots over night...make sure I'm not hurting anyone when I take them off........
Susan--You're a funny gal. Not feeling guilty about the bacon cheeseburger?? Why should you? That's one thing that I"m trying SO hard to change about me, feeling guilty over little things that I have no reason to be. Hmmmm....maybe that should be my New Year Resolution?? Anyway, glad you enjoyed that burger!
Mel--Sounds to me that you need to toss those magazines!! Of coarse hollywood is going to print all about the celebs "weighty issues".....if there are any. And then we read about it and start feeling like crap about ourselves and how we should be working harder at it. So to solve the problem of feeling like crap.....we should all stop buying the magazines. I had a courier from one of our clients give me a handfull of gossip magazines (as he put it) and told me to take them, he delivers them and they were left over. So I took them home, and felt the same way you did! How dare the skinnies make us so upset??? needless to say, I brought all those magazines back to work and got rid of them.
Angie--Did you buy some yarn to make me a sweater?? I've been trying to talk Katy in making me a shawl!:D Jhanai and I went to Michaels today to price some of the really pretty yarns. Time to save her allowance! She's got a list of family she wants to make scarves for and she told me to find out what their favorite colors are. She's thinking ahead! She's got almost two made so far. I should learn from her, start Christmas gift idea's early! We did get some clear ornaments, we have a project for those, called "Angel Wings" she's got the instuctions, and apparently I'm in charge of supplies.
Katy--I've seen Laptops on sale many times and have mentioned to James that he should really get one for himself. He's always on the road and it would be great for him to have one. He could check online to see his spot on the board and all kinds of things plus......leave me w/the other computer!:D He says "Someday maybe, we have other things to think about such as put in saving for a house and vacation." Hmmmm.....we should really forget a vacation and just save for the house, but I'm not going to argue.:)
Jules--I've been wanting an eliptical, and James is wanting a treadmill. Since we can't afford either, we're sticking w/the gazelle. James wants to run so and elliptical doesn't work for him. May still try to talk him into someday.....but for now, gazelle is my friend.
Connie--Glad to hear your mother is feeling better. You say you're weather is gloomy & rainy...where are you now? I thought you were in the Sunshine state or very close to it. I don't think I can keep up w/ya!
Christine--What a project. But you're right, the results are always worth it! I love to have a glass of wine when I'm busy. Sounds bizarre doesn't it. In my little mind, I must think it makes me go faster, which it probably does the exact opposite!
Kathy--Our anniversary IS coming up in a couple months.....and our plans are to go to San Fran....in July. He says he has some fun things planned.....and isn't going to share. So I'm really looking forward to that.
Jane--I know you're in Wally Land, so it'll be awhile before you see this, but do have fun and bring me back some Mickey ears!:D
Hello to anyone I have missed.
Well I'm going to go tackle my hair, I bought some magical color in a box . Tired of seeing the sparkling grey on top.
Talk to gals later.
01-07-2006, 09:49 PM
Stop! We need to head on over to #160....getting pretty full.
