Hi Linds: I noticed that you made a smoothie with a scoop of protein powder. Has your COD said anything about that? I make a smoothie with fruit and protein powder everyday and COD scolded me and said that wasn't OP and to stop doing that!

My COD hasn't mentioned anything about the scoop of protein. Either I'm lucky and she's let it slip or they don't have a problem with it. I don't have smoothies that often. Its more an on the run meal.

Hey ladies is anyone on purple. I am having the hardest time coming up with different meal ideas. I feel like I am eating chicken and salad for every meal everyday. Does anyone have any suggestions? The only thing is I cant have dairy :( It makes me sick. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks ladies!!

If you like turkey and/or roast beef. You could make sandwiches with 1 piece low cal bread 2 oz of meat, and some mayo. I also have lots of peanut buter (1 1/2 T) and small apples. The 2 oz of meat and 1 1/2T PB only count as 1/2 protein.
Pork Tenderloin is also very good if you bake it with garlic, direc onion and pepper.
I am not a big veggie eater so I eat mostly salads.

go back some and a few months ago I asked about protein recipes and suggestions becasue i was havign the same problem, so that thread might help you some. also ground turkey and ground sirloin can replace any ground beef meal. don't forget about fish and shrimp...check out the recipe threads.

angelica~ what are using for your fats most days, i saw the mayo , but I don't see much else?
also do you have a schedule of like 2 light days 3 heavy or anything? and when you have light proteins do you have light starches the same day or mix up the light protiens with the heavy starches....I know i am asking a million questions, but when I grow up i want to be just like you ;)

when I do light days I do them usually 2 days in a row and then 1 heavy day.I do lighter foods all day.On heavier food days I will do either light protein/heavy starch or heavy protein/light starch.And I almost never have 2 heavier proteins in the same day. Like today I had yogurt for breakfast, bar and pinapple for snack, lunch was mcdonalds hamburger(2 hamburger pattys cause 1 is on 1/2 protein) and a side salad, So for dinner tonight I will have light protein(cottage cheese)with tomato. I hope I am making sense, I can't seem to type how I want to explain it,lol. Alot of times I will count frozen meals as heavy foods cause of the sodium in them and then have light food in the evening .
