Hello, been MIA for a little bit, we only have dial up at home so just posting ocasionally! BUT I've been running on plan since Christmas! I've just completed week 4 couch to 5k. I'm starting week 5 tomorrow, I think we might go down by the canal for a run
My new running shoes are LOVELY and my new socks are too! I've bought so much new running gear this Christmas I've had to clear out a drawer so I can have an "exercise gear" drawer!
Also been finding some new and interesting places to run, the parks in London are great and it gets DF out of the house! Been running in Primrose Hill, Regents Park, St James's Park and Green Park.
2006 is my fitness year! I'm going to sign up for at least 2 5Ks and possibly a 10K in September
Bring it on! YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I finally got out for a run outside for the first time since November, everything since then has been on the treadmill because I haven't had time to go out at weekends when it's been light. I ran just over 7.5k in about 47 minutes and feel so much better for actually getting out and doing something after yesterday's laziness. I ran a slightly altered route which I might start incorporating for variety - it's about 2.5k to the lake and 2.5k round it so I usually just run round a few times, but today it was too muddy and I didn't want to go round again, but I found another 2.5k look on footpaths that comes back to the same place which is a bit less boring than going round and round the lake!

I have some Asics Gel 1200 (I think they're 1200 anyways) and I'm totally in LOVE with them! At least they don't hurt my knees!
Yesterday's run took me from Vauxhall in south London along the south bank of the Thames to the London eye and the national film theatre. I skived the last minute of jogging though I was VERY pooped by the time I got home, so I guess I was right to skive!

You guys are awesome!
i ran 5.5 km (with only 2 min walk in the middle) in 38 min!
And i was so proud!
(had a real bad couple of days food wise though! really hate that there is so much christmas food still in the house, my family are such picky eaters, and i'll eat anything... really does not help AT ALL!)
Next i plan to do it with no walk!
How long did you all take before being able to run 8-10km???

I ran 3.5k on the treadmill this morning, then did some walking on hills for a bit of variety.

Welcome June
I've just come back from day 2 week 5 couch to 5k. 8 mins run, 5 mins walk, 8 mins run. I didn't think I could run 8 mins non-stop! I KNOW I didn't used to be able to... I think 6 mins was my longest ever!
I had a tiny rest in the second jog interval since I got my breathing all tangled up and I had Bonnie Tyler on the Zen to contend with (not good for jogging, so bye bye Bonnie!) then after I'd finished running and was walking back to the office I Like To Move It came on and I had a 30 second fast run to a sprint finish!
Just keep running... Just keep running...

I haven't posted on the CR thread in a while, but I'm back now. I last ran on Sunday. It was a slow, but nice, run. I'd like to run today, but I don't know if I can work myself up to it.

Suffering From New Year
New Year is finally catching up with me. For three days, I didn't exercise at all! No running, no walking, nothing. And then we I tried to run my 30 min 3 miles again yesterday morning, I didn't make it. Only ran about 22min. Afterwards, my legs were sore! My legs haven’t been sore at all during the C25K at all. Can't take breaks like that again!
