Default New Years Weekend Chat, Dec 31st & Jan 1st

Good Morning,

How is everyone today? So who is getting all decked out tonight and painting the town red? Any exciting new year plans?

Nothing for me, neighbors will be here at 6, we'll eat and they'll be home by 9 or 10. Its nice and quiet except if my neighbor gets really tickled then he laughs SOOOOOOOOOOOO loud, its very funny.

How bout you ?

We're not going out tonight! IMHO, it's amateur night and people get to drinking far too much and make @sses of themselves.

We're going to the New Years Eve church service and coming home. I made some special Batter Dipped Meatballs and mustard dip for us to snack on. If we get really wild, we may have a drinkie or two. If I know us, we'll be snoring by 10:30.

I want to say Happy New Years to all the wonderful, compassionate people I've met on this site. Thanks for the memories........

Good Morning Leenie!

I am fine, except for when I went to put in my Pinky Blinkies my message disappeared! It was such a nice post - I'm not sure I can recreate it.........

We are not getting all decked out tonight and painting the town red. DH has to work, but he will probably go in late so he can bring in the New Year with me and the kids. He has the black eyed peas on right now and the chitterlings are in the bathtub defrosting. He will eventually go to sleep and get up when it's time to go to work and bring in the new year with us. Then we'll eat our black eyed peas and pork for our new year good luck and he'll go to work and we'll go to bed after all the new year specials go off!

Your neighbor sounds like my father - when he laughs he is also soooooooooooo loud - I think that it's an attention getter, because he didn't laugh like that when I was little.

Hope that you have a healthy New Year too chicklet and may all you successes come true this year too for you

Hi Snoopysgirl, Ruthxxx, Mellietronx, Schatzi and Gamababa! Also Tippy!

We are just hanging out at home. I found a "Happy New Year" shiny, multi colored banner at Target for a dollar, and I made some snickers fudge, (I am giving it to others..I may celebrate with a piece for myself tho). My husband likes to have a shrimp ring on New Years and he bought a veggie and fruit tray also. I have an excitement about the New Year.. out with the old.. old fat, old clutter, etc. and in with the NEW possibilities. My hubby and 2 yr old son are taking a nap right now..hopefully that means happy toddler tonight!

I went and worked out this morning at the Y..hopefully any extra calories will be balanced with that. I am trying to be more conscience of what I eat too.

I started a yahoo group for my area for people who would like weight loss support in our community. I have 9 or 10 members already! I was sure to put the 3 fat chicks site in the links section!

Lets make 2006 a great year!

Later,

Default Any of these work for you?

Smile more!

Listen more intently.

Watch a child discover something new.

Do something totally silly once in a while!

Take responsibility for all your actions.

Make room for new friends.

Be free with compliments.

Encourage someone every day.

Tell people you love that you love them.

Read for fifteen minutes a day.

Call old friends and catch up on their lives.

Have a cookout in the middle of winter.

Be less critical of others.

Volunteer for a good cause.

Don't look for someone else to blame when you are unhappy.

Learn from your everyday failures.

Pray more and worry less!

Be quick to forgive others and learn to forgive yourself.

Whatever you do, give it your best shot!

Don't gossip.

Accept help when it's offered.

Bury your prejudices.

Accept yourself for who you are.

Treat yourself to something expensive or fattening occasionally!

Learn a new dance.

Be generous not only with money but with time.

Challenge your body and your brain.

Look at the big picture and don't sweat the small stuff!

Watch the sunset and realize
that just as no two sunsets are alike

so are you a unique and beautiful creation!

Live your life this year in a way you can look back on it fondly and without
regrets and make this the

BEST YEAR EVER!

-Leens why does your company go home so early? What are you making for supper?
-I am going to a fondue party tonight-----I am bringing baked Brie, chicken, mushrooms, baklava, wine, champagne and beer. It will be tomorrow when I get home
-Tippy sounds like a nice quiet evening.
-Snoopysgirl you sound highly motivated! You go girl.
-Casper when you said the black-eyed peas were on....I thought you meant.......my hump, my hump, etc
-Cheers everybody!

I have a quick question. I remember printing out a thermometer from this website, (maybe a link?) to a printable thermometer that measured my weightloss. I forget where it was.. could anyone perchance point me in the right direction?
