Susan aka SLF - Does this mean you sold your house? I know what those long "times without Daddy" are like. Bill's been gone for 1 1/2 weeks now and still doesn't know when he'll be back. I hope it doesn't interfere with our vacation plans. Oh well, what's meant to be will happen. I sure do miss him though and do know how you feel. I miss your voice, "me thinkest a phone call is upon us in the near future".:D Like ....... maybe tomorrow morning before you skoot out to do whatever you all are doing for the 4th. I miss you lots. Can't wait to see you again. Don't forget me for the windows in your new home. That's going to fun. Do you think we'll actually get any work done????
Brenda - BIG TIME bummer on the computer. Atleast it's getting fixed quickly though. I remember several of us being "offline" for long stretches and it drove us nuts! Good luck on getting it back and running on Friday.
To all the rest of you owls.......HAPPY 4TH OF JULY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Added another album with some beautiful kids and some great people. Also, the last picture is of me NOW. <grimace>....even though I've still got a long way to go......I've lost a total of 37 pounds this year. This is the first time I've actually backtracked and looked. I've still got another 30 atleast to go but I've come a long way. I really don't know if I'd be where I am if I didn't have all of you for support. There are man times that I just "lurk"...and then I'll read a post......stop feeling sorry for myself and get back on track.
So here's the url link. Just click and go....it's the second album that says "The barn".
07-04-2001, 12:39 PM
Hope you are all enjoying your 4th!!! We just went to our towns annual parade. Nice, as usual. It's small, but the whole town comes to watch.
I had a job interview yesterday that went very well. It's for a Unit Secretary position in the "people hospital." I had a really great chance to get this job until the human resources lady called me the day before to tell me that the shift I was applying for was "filled internally." (hired from within) She gave me the choice of waiting to interview until something came up or keeping our appointment and I chose to keep it. She had other shifts available, but they are for day shift and I can't do them. So, we had a great interview, I think. Now all I have to do is WAIT for a night shift to open again. Ugh!
PJ- I love all the pictures! Looks like you are having a great time.
Brenda- phooey on the modem being damaged.
Well, gang, enjoy your day, whatever you are up to. We'll be walking back up to watch the fireworks later. Fun!
now 213 (-43 1/2 lbs!!):D

What a day! I'm sorry to say that's not meant in a positive way either.
You can all just imagine what it was like with the horses and fireworks, let alone my dog!!!! and Cat!!!! and parrot!!!!
Also, my daughter practically hates me right now since I wasn't able to meet her and her friends and their family at the beach today and then go to the fireworks with them tonight. We had a horse collick (sp?) tonight......almost died. We caught it just in time and the vet came out and tubed her.....her owner is a 16 yr. old girl and she is SLEEPING in the barn. She has to keep checking her every two hours. GEEEZ, HAPPY 4TH OF JULY, HUH??????
I'm really tired, I was out in the pouring rain this morning in my PJ's trying to turn Missy out since she was freaking out in her stall from the lightning. I'll tell you more tomorrow. Right now, I can hardly keep my eyes open.
Hugs to u all....

Sue Bee Found this in the help section though it might answer your question :)
Bold, Color, Font and Size all in one line.
This is how I do it, so I dont have to remember what to type in front of and behind each line.
Choose the Bold button and type what you want in the pop-up box. Click ok.
You should see your text in the reply box. (It will have a bracket, forward slash, the letter B and another bracket behind it.)
Next, to color the same line. Highlight the line of text, with the b's in front and behind it. (Do this by clicking at the end of the text and then dragging your mouse over it.) Right click on the text and choose cut. Your text will disappear.
Now, click on the color button. When the pop-up appears, right click in the box and click on paste. Then click ok. You will now have colored, bold text.
You can follow this for all the features. Type, cut, choose feature, paste, click ok, cut, choose another feature, paste, click ok, etc.
Use the preview feature to check your success. Hope this helps.

Candice - That's a beautiful picture. I'm going to print it out and frame it.......K? You certainly have the "Green thumb". I"m jealous. Come on down here and teach me a thing or two and let me pick you brain, wil ya????
ps - Lost another 2 pds. this week~ Yippeeeeeeeeeee
07-05-2001, 11:56 AM
Well I am back in business I just got my new modem from compaq and installed in about 5 minutes, it was real easy.
Now I can finally tell you I lost 5.8lbs at my weigh in on Tuesday night. I was thrilled, my biggest loss ever. I will probably have a small loss this week if even one at all because having the whole week off is hard on my eating plan:o We went to a big bash at a friends house yesterday, tons of food a live band, inground swimming pool, face painting, magician, open (free) bar, the works. We had a ball.
I am off to the beach now so I will keep it short but I just wanted to let you all know I am back.
07-05-2001, 06:05 PM
Oh my goodness, it's been a while. Just needed to pop in and say that all is well. I'm working like a mad woman and honing in on my fitness goals. I'm feeling fit and trim but not quite as much as I hoped I would be. The first few times wearing a swimsuit each summer are always a little dreadful though.
It's nice to see that this thread is still alive and kicking. I hope to get back in to the posting mode soon. Talk to you later.
07-05-2001, 08:55 PM
Wow, we were at the beach and just made it to the car in time for more thunderstorms to strike, they weren't too bad this time though. The last set of them the first night took out my modem which I just put a new one in today and then next night they hit again and my brother's house got hit and took out his furnace, his water pump, well, etc... He has over $15,000.00 worth of damage. Mother nature has been rough on us this year. My mother's insurance company finally settled with her monday from the damage from the tornado. Yikes we have had enough for awhile.
I've eaten a bit to much yesterday and today so I really need to get on track, sometimes I tend to get sloppy after a good loss and I really need to stop doing that.
Meredith, so good to see you again. How have you been?
Hi to everyone,
07-05-2001, 11:47 PM
Hi Owls! Happy 4th late!
PJ-I love Missy..she is beautiful! Congrats on the great weight loss. You go girl!
Bren-Congrats on the great loss! I am glad you got the modem fixed. Sounds like the party was fun
Penny-Can I jump into your suitcase for Hawaii?:smug:
Meredith-Great to see you pop in! Hope you are doing well.
Candice-I love the pics you post. You have a great green thumb. I kill plastic :s:
Ally-Hope a night shift opens up soon!
Tara-Hope you and your family are doing great.
I have been on vacation this week. It was just a rest and relax week and so far I have spent about $700 on auto repairs. I said I have to look at the positive and at least I wasnt trying to find a way to work during all this. I rejoined WW last Saturday but have been having a hard time getting back OP. Keep me in your prayers.
Love to all
07-06-2001, 11:39 AM
Hello Owls! Just poppin' in to say hello! Still WAITING for the phone to ring, calling me for that job....:?:
Brenda--Wow! Congrats on your weigh in. You're right, I think Mother Nature has shown her power too often for you and your family.
PJ--Yeah! On your continued weight loss too! Too bad about the rough 4th you had. I hope the colicky horse is okay.
Candice--I loved that last picture you sent. I want my plants to look like that.
I tried a new (for me) quickie lunch. I had the WW Fiesta Chicken (3 pts) on 2 1 pt flour tortillas (2 pts). I've seen other postings about doing that with the Rice and Beans entree, but I didn't like it. So I had a 5 pt lunch entree and threw in some BBQ Baked Lays for another 2 pts. Not bad for 7 pts. Usually lunch is my "main meal" of the day because I have to be at work at 5 and don't get a real dinner break. By the time office hours are over and we get all cleaned up and settled, it's 9 or 10 pm and too late to eat a "dinner." Sometimes when we're settling the computers, I'll have a low point snack or something. Anyway, thought I'd pass along that idea and if it's new to anyone, hope it helps!
07-06-2001, 05:18 PM
Hey, Suzanne fixed my profile problem and now I can edit it, Yippee!!
Setina, it was so nice chatting with you earlier, I hope your nails came out good. I am sorry you have had such awful expensive mechanical problems, hopefully that will take care of it for awhile. Getting back o.p. is oh so very hard just take it one step at a time, it will all come back to you. I am having a hard time this week not being in work and will probably have a gain next tuesday if I keep it up.
That quickie lunch sounds yumy, thanks for sharing. I sure hope you get that job, the waiting is the hard part.
PJ, I finally got to check out the pics, what a beautiful horse Missy is, wow you are so lucky.
Emmy and everyone else, come out and play!
07-07-2001, 08:46 AM
Still cleaning the garage it was a mess and is almost done! I am also organizing all my garden stuff and the peg boards. Be glad when it is done..then you all can come eat off my garage floor! Now if I could just get my house done..the inside that is! At least the weather has been cool and nice to be outside.
I lost another .5 pound and only want to lsoe 3.5 more at the most I found and old pair of my sons jeans size 34 and they are too big for me! I also found a size 28 skirt I wore years ago and it looks hudge... I could fit several of me in there now!
Pj....Sure it's ok!LOL Sometimes I think it would be nice to publish a book of all my flower pictures and other stuff ( Ilove taking pictures and thought about pursuing it once) but to much trouble so I will just share them here!
Bren..We had a storm like that last year and it took out my modem too! A bad lightning strike and we lost our well, TV, VCR, phones, Fridge, and some other stuff. Glad we had insurance!:)
Setina & Merideth..god to see you both!:)
Ally..I'll have to try the WW Fiesta Chicken thing! Thanks..love new ideas.
My big pot of Dahlias............
07-07-2001, 04:33 PM
Everyone's been posting lately and it's really nice to come here and read all of your "news" and what's been up with each of you.
Bill is STILL out of town. Two weeks now but he's trying to get home on Monday. I just got back from the barn and it's sooooo nice to walk into the cool house. We're smack in the middle of the summer and it feels like it too. I was talking to a freind in New York and she said it almost feels like Autumn there. Wow???? In July???!!! She said it's been going down to the 50's at night AND she's on Long Island so it really should be a bit cooler but.......whatever.....sure wish we'd have one of those summers. :)
Li'l Billy had a fever yesterday and all I can think of is that he was dehydrated. Now, you've got to know first that this kids drinks about 2 glasses of water as soon as he wakes up and drinks it all day....So all I can think of is that since he was out in the heat all day yesterday (went to the beach with a friend of mine and her kids) ....he probaby got a slight case of heat stroke. He's got blonde hair which actuall has turned white around his face and hairline and just like his Daddy, his eyebrows are blonde so it look like he doesn't have any. Right now he's passed out on the couch. Thank God, he needed it. He's been playing on the trampoline at the barn all morning and then they were playing on the slip and slide. Hey, atleast THAT kept them cool. Anyway, it's very rare that he takes a nap so he should be in a really good mood when he wakes up. This is a 6 yr. old that does not stop from the moment he wakes up until his head hits the pillow at night. HE NEEDS A NAP sometimes.....
I'm doing well on program, just had a roast beef sandwich and a glass of milk. I cleaned out my horses stall and two others for my friends that are out of town. It was hot, I worked my butt off and I reeeaaaally enjoyed that sandwich. heh-heh.
I hope you're all having a good weekend. I've got alot of laundry to do as usual and then need to clean out the parrots cage and put come chlorine into the pool.....probably needs to be backwashed too.......Oh Joy! Who the heck needs a man around the house???!!!! I do it all myself anyway......AAAAAGGGHHHHHHHH......actually, I really, really miss Bill......this sucks....BIG TIME!!!!!!! I can't wait to see him HOPEFULLY on Monday. The kids really miss him too. Thank God for phones and email to send pictures.
Hugs to you all,
07-07-2001, 06:25 PM
Hello again Owls!
Flyin' on through....
I hope you are all enjoying your weekend! I just got home from work and feel like I smell like cat stink. We were treating a cat at the end of hours that was constipated AND urinary blocked! Poor guy...his um.....er, holes....are gonna be SORE. This cat is 25 lbs, is diabetic, obese (obviously), and has constant BM problems. A condition called megacolon. I think that name kind of explains itself, eh? Good luck, Ernie......
On THAT note (sorry!), just a few quickie comments and hoppin' in the shower.
Brenda- that current weight on your profile looks awfully attractive to me. Motivates me to get down under that "2-as-a-first-digit-weight" more and more!! Gettin' there! :smug:
Candice- when you're done organizing your place, come on over and start on mine, would ya? LOL!
Did you ever think that one day you would be saying that you DON'T want to lose any more? Congratulations on that big accomplishment! :D
PJ-- You cracked me up saying what you did about "who needs man..I do it all anyway?" Sounds like my house! :p
Yes, here in NJ recently, it got a little on the chilly side in the mornings. Came right after a heat wave. Crazy weather!
That's neat that there's a trampoline at your barn! (and a pond, and ALL that other fun sounding stuff!) I guess all the kids play doesn't bother the horses much?
Hello all you other Owls! Enjoy your day! I'm off to shower!
07-07-2001, 06:29 PM
Love the barn you added at the end of your last post! I LOVE barns...I got 'em all over my house!
07-07-2001, 10:27 PM
Good Evening Owls!!
How is everyone doing? I have felt myself falling off track so I decided I needed to re-motivate myself. I am one of those people who are addicted to the scale and yes it rules my world. Yes I know that is a BAD thing but I just can't stay off it so I have decided to make it work for me. I did it a few months ago and it really helped so I decided maybe it will help me now. I used graph paper and made myself a graph chart. I will weigh myself each morning and record the results and hopefully watch it go down.:p It makes me totally wonky:dizzy: so I have to make it work for me or it will drive me crazy. Tomorrow is my last day off from work, I have to get up at 6am and drive the kids to portland, me. and meet their dad, he will be taking them til next Sunday. We are going to visit for awhile in Portland with my brother and his wife, it will be a nice break before driving back.
I did 1.5 miles on the treadmill last night at the gym because I missed the kickboxing class, I guess on Fridays it is at 5:15 instead of 5:45. Today I rototilled around the garden to get rid of the weeds, not much but something anyway.
candice, wow I guess it is more common than I thought, Setina lost a modem awhile back too because of a storm, I guess I will have to unplug my computer from now on during a storm and hope the best for everything else. Congratulations on your weight loss, you are doing awesome.
Pj, sounds like you are busy as usual. Boy it must be hard with hubby gone so much. Don't you just hate laundry? I have been doing it all day.
Alley-oop, yes it does feel awesome to be under that 200 mark and also to finally be able to edit my profile so I could put it there, LOL! don't worry you will get there, just keep the goal in mind. You are doing great.
All you missing owls, come on out!!
07-07-2001, 10:33 PM
Hi Ally - I love barns too......but the bigger ones that I can sit and have a cup of coffee in ....in the morning. <grin> Actually, there's a Cracker Barrel not far from here and they have some really beautiful "barn scupltures". I'll bet yours are georgious. Must put a very nice "warm touch" to your home.
As for kids at the barn. Well, let's see. Besides having to tell them a million times a day NOT to run through the barn or past horses, it's just fine. I think it's FINALLY sinking in for Billy. Jackie already knows but Big Bill is a totally different story. He hasn't even seen Missy yet except for emails. He knows nothing about horses.....BUT HE WILL........;)
Sweet Dreams everyone.....
07-08-2001, 12:41 AM
Sounds like everyone is doing well.
I have also been having the cooler weather and am loving it!!!
I hate it when its too hot and sticky.
PJ - I love the animated horse pictures you have been putting in Where do you find them. I have not looked at your pictures yet but am off to do so as soon as I am done here.
Brenda - Great loss!!!! GOOD FOR YOU
Setina - Sure see you in Maui
I have not been losing much but am learning a great deal about why I eat and what triggers it, so soon I hope things will start moving for me. I am finally walking
3-5 miles a day. My feet are hurting but I hope it will get better as the weight starts to come off.
Candice - Love your pictures I could kill a cactus so I am very jealous.
I have been on vacation this week, just hanging out and spending some much overdue time with my husband. We work different shifts and rarely get to spend more than 5 or 10 minutes together on weedays. We have been golfing and walking has been alot of fun, I am finding I am getting a bit grumpy about thinking of going back to work on Monday.
I walked two miles with a friend today and then walked the golf course with hubby so I think I got in at least 4 miles today.
Well I am off to look at PJ's pictures take care all
07-08-2001, 12:57 AM
PJ - I just couldn't wait to tell you!! A very nice looking horse.
Looks like a great barn too!!!!!
But ouch my toes hurt looking at the kids around the horse without good shoes on. Makes me very nervous seen to many get their toes pinched.
Congrats she is a beauty!!
If I ever get a decent picture of mine I will send it to you.
07-08-2001, 11:34 AM
Hey Penny - Yeah....I know. But if you notice....MY son is the one with almost totally covered sandals and his boots are always in the tack room. Whenever he goes into the barn or into a ring, he has to put them on and it's now an automatic thing....Well....MOSTO OF THE TIME. ;)
Elly, the horse in back of them ...... is just an ole plug and as long as they're not in the ring or around any other horses......it's ok with me. I"m responsible for my kids...and I agree with you but I'm so tired of repeating myself to their parents......oh well, their kids toes, right?
I"m off to feed Missy.....yikes...it's already 10:30am......see ya later.
07-09-2001, 06:45 AM
Did some Yoga and now I'm hurting so gotta go lay on some ice!
Dh is sitting on my swing I got for my Birthday last April! Pj..a day or two would be fine with out Dh but two weeks is way too long! I do everything around here too scince Dh works all the time and is so tired from his blood pressure meds and sleep apnea!
Hello to all:wave: Check out these HUNKS!
07-09-2001, 11:37 AM
Candice - What a beautiful house and yard!!!!!!!! Wow!!!!! I'd say the same for your hubby but I can't really see him too clearly ;)
Love the swing too. About the website with the hunks......it's an awesome site....with lots of wonderful graphics and animations. Whoever Meme is.....she's very gifted and I love the fact that she has religious links options on there as well. It's time for me to update my webpage. I'm definitely going to use some of her graphics and put a link to her page on my page.
I felt so gross when I woke up this morning.....fell asleep without brushing my teeth....eeeeeeewwwwwwwwwww:o
I'm starting to have some second thoughts about keeping my "Missy" at the barn where I'm at. So is the couple (Beth and Jim) that helped me van Missy home. We do soooo much work around that place it's ridiculous but last night took the cake. I was working with the bobcat, leveling out the front ring to make it all sandy because we'll be putting in some cavaleties and barrels, and it's large enough that there can also be a lesson going on in the other half. Make a long story short......when I walked into the barn, everyone started laughing hysterically. They said the only white you could see on my body were my eyeballs.... (Of course that's not what I'm pissed off about, just thought it was funny). Then one of the new boarders callled me at home and was concerned about his horses "sheath"....(don't ask).....and I told them I'd be right there. I showed them how to clean it and what the problem was and then went back home to take a shower, make dinner for my kids and and straighten up a bit since Bill is finally coming home today (5pm flight). THEN......I get a call from "someone" that Missy is freaking out in her stall (again, she hates being confined) during a thunderstorm. This was at 9:45pm and my kids AND I were sound asleep. She was incapable of putting the halter on my horse and leading her out to the pasture!!!!!!! Geeeeez, she shouldn't have a horse or own a barn it she can't even lead a horse! THEN!!!!!!! I get another call from another boarder around 11pm.......Beth (my friend) asking where the heck is she supposed to turn her two arabs out because all of the horses, except mine were in different rings. I had no idea but told I'd meet her and we'd clear up the debris that should have been taken away when it was cut down the day before in one of the back pastures. I didn't want her out there in the dark, out in the boonies by herself. She dicided to turn them out in the ring I had "Bobcatted" earlier which was only sand now and but also meant no grazing for her horses and SHE WAS PISSED. It's very bad for a horse to eat off of sand......thank God her horses know better and we just put a few flakes of hay in la arge barrel in the middle of the ring. THEN......Adrienne calls me at 4:30am - to tell me she has a leak and there's water all over her bedroom floor......she was expecting ME to come over and help clean it up after the day from He** !!!!!!!!!! j Oh..OH.!!!!!! the best part?????? The "jerk" who lives in the studio apartment in the stable got drunk and thought he'd "play" with the bobcat in the dark! You should see what he did to the grass.......all this after Bob and I were NOT doing donuts (quick circles) with the bobcat so as not to tear up the grass. I have no idea what he thougth he was doing so when I got there last night at 11pm to meet Beth, I took the key out. Especially since it was leant to ME from Mr. Palmer down the road!!!!!! AAAGHHHHHHH, can you say P.I.S.S.E.D. O.F.F. ???/!!!!!!! ^%^#$#@@#^##$#%##
oK........still doing well on program, today is another day....I've bored you all with this story but I HAD to vent. Sorry, really and truly but I feel better now. <grin>
I have to go now and see how Missy is doing and then take Billy to camp. I hope YOUR day is much better than my yesterday and I hope MY today is better than my yesterday also. Wish me luck.
Hugs to you all,
07-10-2001, 06:03 AM
PJ What a day you had! meme knows her computer that's for sure! She has Fibro too and lives in Tenn. Glad you liked the link, which Hunk is your favorite?????? I like Pierce B.
New total 47 pounds gone!
So hot...had to walk inside on the treadmill tonight and no work outside..the humidity gives me a headache:( We need a pool like PJ:)
07-10-2001, 11:41 AM
That's terrible about what happened at the barn, especially since you love it there so much. (maybe not all of the people, but the farm itself)
I hope things get better for you there. :)
Wow Candice..47#!! Congratulations!
07-10-2001, 01:06 PM
Everything is always better in the morning
Bill got home last night and although we didn't have any alone time, both kids slept with us cause Daddy was there and we all laughed and giggled for about an hour until we finally pooped out. I'm so glad he's home, I really missed him this time. Not that I don't always but this time just seemed a little worse. :?:
GREAT NEWS - Mr. Palmer, the man who leant me the bobcat came to my rescue. I"m out of the barn and at his place..at the opposite end of the road and in 10 acres of open pasture that is all grass!!!!!! He has two Paso Finos and that's it so right now Missy is in the front 3 acres which is fenced in around the back of his house. I'll let her join the others in a few days. Beth and Jim ARE coming with me next week since Mr. Palmer thought he had nothing better to do, was planning on doing it, so he's going to build a four stall paddock for us this weekend. He's absolutely the sweetest old man I've ever met. He also owns 500 acres about 10 mis. from us with about 300 head of cattle and said we could use that to trailride anytime we wanted. He ALSO gave me full run of the pastures. He said the Paso Finos never get ridden and I could ride them whenever I wanted so now.....I'll be able to get my legs ready for Missy. Anyway, he had started last week on putting in all new fencing and said he'll be done with the paddocks by this coming Sunday. Ok......NOW can you spell H.A.P.P.Y. ???????
Are you ready to hear WHY I left to quickly yesterday? Adrienne called me on my cell and TOLD me to bring the key to bobcat back because it was on HER property and SHE was responsible for it. NOT TRUE.....but I obliged her since I know she's totally stressed out and when I got there, she grabbed the key out of my hand before I even got out of my car and said "the next time you want to talk to my daughter, you ask me first". She was referring to my asking her daughter why she smacked MY son (Jackie and Billy were afraid to tell me because they thought I would beat her up...... )......I reprimanded Jackie because she should have known better but anyway, I told her I believed my kids and that they wouldn't lie about something like that.....she then...out of the middle of nowhere told me to "get the FU** off of her property and get my FU***** horse out of her barn"~~~~~ I was dumbfounded. After everything I've done ...... after managing her barn for no pay just to help her get back on her feet, after watching her kids every day.......it was like the crap I went through with Christine and her three kids all over again. A couple of very good friends later asked me When are you going to learn? I just don't get it anymore. I've never been treated by people like this before. Not once did a "friend" burn me this year but Twice!!!!!! Well, when I told Bill he just said "I told you she would do that as soon as you finished with all of the hard work and got her boarders and she had money coming in AND didn't need you anymore". AAAAGGGHHHHHHHH.
Well, it was a blessing in disguise....I had to call the cops to come and get my horses vaccines out of her frig. because she wouldn't let me in and wouldn't give me any of the things I had in her house. One of the Deputy's on the force is a good friend of mine and he and another officer escorted me back to her house so I could get all of my things. You should have seen the look onher face. They even followed me as I walked my horse down the road to the new place and helped me hang the buckets and all. :D
I can now see Missy from the road so I drove by there as soon as I woke up today around 7am just to see how she was and there she was.........relaxed and happily grazing in the pasture. Now I don't need to buy hay or shavings!!!!! Talk about saving $$$$$$$ and Mr. Palmer is only charging me $50. per month! He said "aw heck, the grass was just growin there before anyway". Can you believe this guy? God was certainly watching over me yesterday.....that's for sure. I think Adrienne is STILL in shock that I got Missy and all of my stuff out of there by 4pm........LOL........4 boarders came over my house last night and we all sat out on the patio and had some well deserved Corona's with lime.
They all want to go where I am now. I'm telling you guys......there was no reason for Adrienn's actions and it's just as well that I totally seperate myself from her totally. I was way too emotionally involved with her kids and her problems with her husband and MY OWN family was being neglected but I didn't really see it until I sat down and talked with everyone last night. EVERY SINGLE PERSON said that they ALWAYS saw me working my butt off and the were right. Well, I don't have a barn to worry about anymore......just beautiful green pastures and a soon to be newly built four stall paddock where they can get in and out to the pasture whenever they'd like.
Boy.....I sure am a rambler.........this should be the last time you hear any BAD stories from me for a while:o
Lost 2 more pounds. Don't know how??? Maybe the sweating, physical work and stress?????!!!!!!!
Have a good one.....guess I'll be showing you NEW pics now......heh-heh

Hi everyone. I know, I know... I'm not posting like I should. But I've been lurking and loving how the nightowls are having such a good summer. I'm fine and losing also. I hope to make my 10% (finally) on Saturday. Keep your fingers crossed.
It's bedtime here, but I stayed up late to watch David Letterman look down Julia Roberts' blouse (which WAS hardly buttoned, but if I had her body I'd do it the same).
Oh BTW: I've never been on a horse, but it looks like I might want to someday now!

Hi All
Just a quick note, I have to go get ready for work.
PJ - I get tired just reading your stories!!!!!
Don't know how you do it.
Congrats on the new place.
I finally seem to be in control of things, I lost 4.5lbs this week :)
Am doing alot of walking when weather permits anyway. Would like to get a treadmill but can't really afford it this year. Between horse training and trying to save for Hawaii.
Anyhow take care all

Good to see things are going well for everyone (even you PJ after your barn problems??!! - I'm glad you found a new place.) I try to get over here and lurk every couple of days, but anyone who has ever moved know how busy this time can be.
The movers are here next week to pack and load the van. We should finish up here on Friday of next week, and then unload into our new home on Monday the 23rd. I probably won't be on-line hardly since I'm not sure what I'm doing for an internet connection yet. After being spoiled with cable hook-up, dial up will be a pain. Hopefully it is only for a couple of months.
I'm really finding it very hard to follow program, and have actually been gaining. I know it is the stress from this and the odd eating schedules and habits. Once we get the moving done in a couple of weeks I've promised myself that this weight loss and my health have to be a top priority. Between that and helping my kids get settled in a new town and home will be challenging. I know they are looking forward to having there dad around full-time again. It has been a long 8 months having Wayne home only on the weekends.
Well enough rambling for me. It's my son's birthday, and I should think about getting the kids all together for some cake. I just can't believe he turned 11 today. I keep telling myself I'm too young to have a child that old. (Right - LOL)
Have a good one.

Hi there. So how was YOUR day? :D
Susan aka SLF - I have a suggestion that MIGHT help you keep on track. What about buying the WW or Lean Quisine meals. This way, when you're really hungry and feel like just grabbing whatever is available....you just pop 'em in the microwave and there you go...... Just a suggestion, although I'm not sure if you can eat those meals because of the high sodium count. :?: Thanks for the email.....I just haven't had a chance to get back to you but I will as soon as I finish up here. I MISS YOU
Penny - Congrats on the 4.5 lbs. gone! Nice job.
I know my posts have been very long lately.....there's just so much to tell though. Yes, I am a chatter.......a bonified, certified chatterbox. Heh-heh......sorry 'bout that...I'll try to keep them a bit shorter. Even I get tired when I read them. <grin> Hawaii is awesome. Bill proposed to me on Honolulu and then we went to Mauii. I'm soooo jealous of you. It's been over 14 yrs. since I was there and boy would I love to go. I hope you have an incredibly wonderful time.
Judy - Why???? whatever would make you think you might want to be a "horsey" person. :p Heh-heh BTW, did you read about Julia Roberts and her boyfriend breaking up? I forgot his name but he's the cutie in "Miss Congeniality" with Sandra Bullock. Those people go through relationships like we go through T.P. !!!!! Geeeez!!
I got my exercise in early today, since my van was in the shop and i hadn't received the rental yet......so I rode my bike over to the barn. I was so sweaty by the time I got here that I literally walked in the front door, straight to the sliding glass doors......OUT the sliding glass doors and jumped into the pool....clothers and all! Ahhhh, you have no idea how sweaty and overheated I was. I forgot my water and I KNOW I had a headache because of it. So.....that's it......there's lots to tell you about Adrienne and other garbage.....but that's just what it is, garbage ....... so I wont even bother. I'll leave you all on a good note and wish you sweet dreams.

PJ, you are so funny! When I hear your stories, it feels like I'm talking to an old friend. Sorry about all the problems, but it sure has made for an interesting thread lately!
Susan, I feel your pain about moving. DH and I really should use movers, but money is alway kind of tight when we are changing homes. Although it's not planned out this way, we always seem to move over holidays. This year we moved at Easter, Christmas the year before, Christmas in 1999 too. In a way it helps burn off the huge meals we usually have at these times, but mostly it just sucks. There has got to be an easier way to move.
I am sooooo tired today. I have a big day ahead of me, so I better get going. Talk to you all later!

This is the flower bed I planted in the dark!:smug:
