Is everyone ready for Christmas? I have one last BIG gift to wrap, but I have to wait until the boys are asleep. We've been keeping it hidden at dh's work. Have a wonderful night's rest as I'm sure the kids will have us up soooo early in the morning!!! :yikes:

Merry Christmas to you too Angie!!! How was the gift opening for Hunter? How did the puppy sleep? 7 months old eh?....I bet she was up whining a bit!! Bassett hounds are adorable. I can't remember....did you settle on a name for the puppy yet?

Its 1pm and I'm still OP !!!! Planning on cooking a nice ham soon and then lots of veggies. I did make some mashed potatoes for the guys and they'll have white sauce (blech!!) with their ham. So I don't anticipate any problems with the meal,....its just the 4 of us for dinner. My in-laws come in a few days (for a week...:yikes:) and then we'll see. They are very food challenged, as MIL has lots of allergies and only eats organic foods. A nightmare actually!!! Have a great day.

I hope everyone had a great day. I had an awesome day, it started out nice and civilized....the boys woke us up at 7 am. So a nice easy start to the day. Dh was listening when I said I was having problems with my CD player while working out and got me an IPOD !!! wooohoooo, he helped download tonnes of tunes and already today I braved the elements and went for a good 45 min brisk walk. YEAH!!! And as for your question Angie....YES!!! I STAYED OP!!! woohoo:carrot: I felt so much in control today, now mind you I planned for a dessert (which was melt in your mouth) and even had two, but I definitely didn't over do it which is what I normally do in this type of eating holiday!!!

:drill: Tommorow is Dec 26th and ALL THE GOODIES HAVE TO GO AWAY!! No more snacking and happy finger foods!!!:D

Happy Dec 27th!!......Yeah, I guess life starts to get back to normal now. Dh left today for a 3 day trip and when he gets back late on Thursday....he's picking his parents up at the airport. Not sure if I'm ready for their visit, but it will be nice to see them. MIL has a gazzillion food allergies and she's already told me that first thing on Friday, we are heading to the natural food store,...Whole foods to get her food. Normally she brings a suitcase full but obviously she's getting wise in her old age!! We'll be eating just the bare basics of food....plain meat (no seasonings, no sauces, no coatings) and fresh steamed veggies...(thats great and okay with me!!) but dh finds it very monotonous. I will do her meats in another pan some of the time, as I get tired of it also. We'll see....

How is everyone doing? Goodies all gone? Presents all put away? House back to normal yet? hehe...not for me anyways. I am excited though...the gym is open today!!! yeah!! I got a couple of good walks in but thats about it. The weather here today is CRAZY!!!....going to be a high of 60F!!!

Cryket.....lets see? there is a sticky (permanent thread) at the tops of most thread divisions about how to post your tracker. You need to go to 'user CP' heading and then click on 'edit your signature' once inside. They have a menu where you click on the pictures you want, marker you want and if you want to put weight change or pounds lost. You then highlight it all and enter it back into your 'signature box'. I always fudge it up and have to re-do it several times ....again and again. I may not be the best person to tell you...:D How did your weigh in go? Don't get discouraged....there are many ways to judge your weight loss than just the scale. For the first while, you may be building muscle rather than just burning fat...so you may see a bit of a gain. HANG IN THERE!!!;)

Count me in. I'm not officially starting until next Tuesday because this next weekend we have a HUGE weekend planned and then we're emptying the house and my hubby, mom & dad are all going to do WW with me. So... I'll be hanging out and really hitting it hard after the New Year. Also, my dh is a full-time student who is transferring schools and his new school has a brand new workout facility free to students and discounted for family of students... so... we're going to work out together too!!!:carrot: Plus I start broomball (mix of boot hockey & soccer - on ice) after the first of the year as well. Bring on the 180s I'm ready to get this ball rolling!

angel-eyes
12-27-2005, 05:22 PM
Well hello Bobaloola!!! :welcome3: Isn't broomball great? I played in a bonspeil once to help a freind out of a tight spot and loved it!!! You certainly seem to have everything in place to start the year off. Good luck with that and wow!!! free gym membership? gotta love that dh.

Cryket....the tracker thing-y only measures full pounds. Good luck with your weighin!!

12-27-2005, 05:34 PM
Thanks angel-eyes! It's also great to find someone who knows what I'm talking about when I say I'm playing broomball. Next to hockey (played for 9 years and coached for 6) it's one of the best games around!! LOL

Hi everyone, I'm in. I'm new to this site but have been lurking a bit lately.

I would like to lose 10 pounds by ground hog day. I went back to WW last Monday but skipped this week and didnt' follow my points last week. I think I will make it to next Monday's meeting. Hopefully I didn't get too off track last week!!!

angel-eyes
12-28-2005, 12:52 AM
Hi ya Jaaaacki and welcome!! I think your 10 lb goal by Feb 2nd is very doable BUT you gotta journal. I know I know...but it really works. I didn't journal for the longest time and then couldn't figure out why I was up and down like a teeter totter for over 1 month. duh? Now I am religious about using it everyday. It also helps me to pin point times when I might have used too much salt (ie ham) or when I didn't get all my veggies in. Good luck!!;)

Cryket.....phew, I'd take a maintain ANY DAY!!! :carrot: Good job. Now you know what you need to do for next weeks weigh in. How's the treadmill coming along?

12-28-2005, 09:15 AM
life is back to normal around my house we didnt have any goodies in the house during the holiday other than hunters lil chocolate santa and my lil guy ate that up all by himself. our christmas tree is already taken down and back in the attic and the door decoration is put away to so you wouldnt know that we had christmas here other than the tons of toys laying around my lil guy had a great christmas.

angel-eyes i hope the visit with in laws goes really well wow that must be hard having all those allergies for her and then for you trying to accomadate and make sure everything is perfect for her bout the only seasoning i use these days is a lil molly mcbutter on my veggies sometimes find that if i get just a little bit of salt i blow up like a balloon

lyndsay welcome to the challenge sounds like you have the workouts and everything figured out and you are ready to go :) thats so great and what a great way to start the new year by getting healthy :)

cryket i am glad the scale didnt show a gain you keep pluggin away girl and you are going to see how much that working out and water drinking pays off.

jaaaacki welcome to the challenge you can do it i find that writing everything down before it goes in my mouth is a great thing to do cause when i write it down i find i really think alot harder bout what i'm eating and if the pts are worth it. you can do this girl :)

Morning all..... :coffee: I can't remember who was telling me about the JennieO turkey bacon but I bought some and its pretty good!! I'm surprized. Lately my breakfast routine is 2 toasted lc whole wheat sandwich with a cheese slice in the middle. Well, the turkey bacon is a nice add to that and extra protein to boot!! Thanks for the idea.

Well I am off to the gym in a minute, I haven't been in a while and although I'm loving my walks/ipod....I feel like I'm letting too many days slide. My food as been great and OP, but I gotta go or else... I don't know. I bought some new workout stuff yesterday; a cool XL....thankgod the 1X's are gone!!! :carrot:

Angie....All the Christmas is packed up? oh no...tell me it isn't so!!! I hate packing my decorations up, we leave it until after New Years and with my in-laws coming....it will wait until they go home on the 5th!! How was Hunter with all the decorations? I couldn't keep my young'uns out of the tree, or the cat for that matter.:D They are much better now. A tradition we started with decorations is.....every year I buy a new tree ornament for their Christmas picture. My oldest is 12 and the youngest is 8...nice to have a collection of them over the years. They absolutely love spreading them all out and talking about each ornament. I put their age and year on the backs, so they know.

Jaaaacki21
12-28-2005, 04:17 PM
Angel-eyes and Huntersmommy~When I am religiously following the plan I write it all down. I find that during the day I hoard my points then I am left with a bunch in the evening. I guess I figure I can't go without snacking while watching TV. I need to stop eating after 7.

I weighed myself this a.m. on my own scale and I was up 1 pound since my ww weigh in 2 weeks ago. So that's not bad considering what I've been eating. I still haven't decided if I'll go in for meetings or not. Its tough...I have a 1 year old who doesn't like to be confined to the stroller if its not moving. If I go to WW it will be this Friday. So hopefully I'm down a teeny bit.

Thanks for the welcome!!!

ok ladies, Count me in. I will add the new tracker after my next weigh in. Im thinking 10lbs sounds like a good goal to go for, that would be about 2lbs a week.

Hey Cryket, are you doing your treadmill everyday? Are you eating your activity points? Are you eating below or above your point level? Sorry about all the questions just wanting to get some ideas for you on how to give your body a boost on the scale.

Bobaloola
12-28-2005, 05:09 PM
Sorry to barge in... WELCOME Anna!! And just a thought on the points thing. You asked if Cryket ate above or below her points. I just want to stress to everyone NOT to go under points too often. I made that mistake and thought, well, 18 points 2 days a week and 20 3 days a week is good right. NOPE I gained big time. Tried it another week as a sort of punishment because I must have done something wrong the week before. Well, I gained again... turns out that my body HATED the fact that I wasn't feeding it enough. Your body needs a certain amount of energy at a certain weight. The higher the weight, the more food for more energy to handle the extra load (sorry... that's blunt). The lighter, the less food because your metabolism is up and taking care of the energy with what you are taking in. Just keep that in mind. If you need an extra boost... try shaking it up. Try eating more points in the morning and less at night. Or different foods, different recipes, different activities. Most people automatically attack their points when they want to push things forward. Start at the less obvious things... they may solve your dilemma!! :)

huntersmommy
12-28-2005, 06:44 PM
angel eyes that is so neat the ornament tradition yup all my christmas decorations are all put up my lil guy knocked my tree over two times this year so i'm kinda glad that i have it put away now we usually leave it up till the first of january but, with all the new toys i was running out of room for everything.

my lil guy hates being in the stroller to so going to the meetings is usually a challenge but, i love going :) its something just for me

akiss2you
12-28-2005, 07:00 PM
Lyndsay, Im the same way. I tried eating below my points and I would not lose anything, also if I dont eat at the high end of the point range when I exercise I dont lose anything. That's why I was asking cryket so many questions to see if that's what she's doing so she can modify it and lose weight again. That's too funny. I thought it was just my body that was like that.

Angie my Christmas tree is coming down tonight. I have the same problem as you not enough room with all 3 kids new toys everywhere. My honey was off of work today and cleaned and rearranged all of there rooms today to make room for the new stuff, so now I can get it all out of my living room.

Hey? come to think of it...the only pile of gifts left to put away is MINE!!! hehe....The boys are pretty good about putting their things away, eldest ds put his stocking and gifts up in his room about 1 hr after opening them all!!! I'm in the process of highlighting my hair.....doing ds also. His is so easy, nice and short but mine has alot of wave to it. We'll see. I wanted a fresh new look .....almost 30 lbs lost.....inlaws coming and they haven't seen me for 1 yr......new clothes and a NEW YEAR!!! Wait till dh comes home...hehe ;) .....who knows what will happen then!!!

Angie yes the tree is and decorations are all packed away until next year. The house looks kinda boring now since everything is gone, but it's nice to have all the extra room again. Im wishing you good luck on trying for another baby. I have had several friends who tried for several months to a year to have a baby, I know it can be frustrating, so just remember you were succesful before and you will be again!

Was really bad today. I ate backyard burger for lunch. It was so yummy, but I know it was so bad. Im just taking this week easy, which I know I shouldnt be. We have plans to go out this weekend to for New Years Eve, so I know I wont be good. So Sunday, Jan 1st is going to be my fresh start being OP and exercising.

Angie, did you order your walk away the pounds & firming up videos or can you get them at Target or Walmart? Did yours come with the bands or ab thing or do you just do your own hand weights. Im considering getting it for the days I can push myself to do my elliptical I can just pop in the dvd's and do them.

huntersmommy
12-30-2005, 04:06 PM
anna my watp i bought off of ebay i just use my own hand weights found that ebay can be pretty cheap depending on what you are looking for in exercise videos may also try like overstock.com they have super cheap shipping :) i really love my workout videos.

yeah i know i was pg before only difference this time the first pg i lost the 2nd pg was my son that i saw a reproductive speicalist and was on fertility drugs this time its only 3 months of trying is all dh is willing to do hes afraid to go through fertility drugs again so now I just sit and pray that it will happen and that i can get progesterone to help keep me pg and anything else quick enough. uggghhh so scared but, excited at the possibility of expanding the family this will be our last baby God willing that I'm able to get pg. thanks for the support :)

Hi girls!!! The inlaws have me running......just popping in. Is it rude to be on here more than 5 times a day?....hahaha...

Angie....My heart goes out to you!!! Getting pg can be sooo difficult and so much of an emotional roller coaster. When we made the decision to try, it was so easy. BAM!! we were pregnant. After he was 2.5yo.....dh didn't really want another but I persisited. Then I was pg, but also miscarried but it was very very early (6 wks). Then we started trying again for (ds#2) and it took forever. It got to be very mechanical and very surreal (if you know what I mean) .....we didn't see a specialist or anything, but I was charting my temps and obsessing about it all. THEN....we stopped trying so hard and took a holiday......AND BAM!!! we got pg again. (I love hotel sex I guess....haha) Just know that you are doing so well with your weight and your doctor(s) have faith in you and dh. Hunter is such a loved little boy!!!

Well my visit with the in-laws is going well....onto Day 2 today. And we haven't had any food issues yet. Yesterday we went to Whole Foods, a smancy fancy organic food store and she bought all sorts, then last night we ate out. Tonight for dinner is going to be rack of lamb. Of course, I'll have to do hers in a seperate pan and start it much earlier as she likes it ultra cooked well done but thats okay. I went to the gym yesterday for a 3.5 mile run.... hehe...still can't believe I can do that. When they arrived, my FIL (I was shocked) noticed my weight loss almost immediately (and he went on and on)....to which my MIL only said, 'good job dear'. hmmp, apparently its not as a 'big deal' as when her daughter lost 30 lbs and she couldn't shut up about it ......okay angel.....DEEP CLEANSING BREATHS!!!!

Last night I went off plan and had one to many choc. covered cookies.....WHY OH WHY DO I DO THIS? Today is another day...."nono" no cookies!!! Everyone hang in there!!! In case I don't get back on the puter.....HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

angel eyes thanks for the kind words about trying for another baby my dilema is dh is fine his swimmers are great I have poly cystic ovarian syndrome and then to top it off my uterus is deformed i have a cross between a bicornate and a septate uterus so its like i have a divider in the center of my uterus so babies dont have alot of room to grow with alot of bed rest and having my cervix stitched is how my son got here and he was still 2 weeks early which was alot better than what i would of had him at which was 26 weeks. I wish wish wish it was a matter of relaxing and getting pg but, i have a few things stacked against me its so hard but, hopefully with this weight loss the pcos will be better and then if i get pg i can get the progesterone quick enough. I'm sorry for your loss also i know how painful and devistating that is.

Last night was a blast!!....literally!!!....we bought a whole bunch of fireworks and set them off around 10pm. My inlaws are visiting and we thought rather than do what we do every year....(sit around and watch tv, they fall asleep and be bored all night) I cooked a wonderful rack of lamb dinner, did the fireworks and then lit a huge bonfire in the backyard. The boys roasted marshmallows and we had a great time. They still fell asleep mind you, but it was okay.(they woke up at 11:50, just in time for the ball to fall in NYork) I did much better NOT snacking on sweets and also for today. Can't wait to get all this stuff out of the house!!!

We've been shopping shopping and more shopping. Popped into Old Navy and couldn't believe the deals. I got 5 pr of jeans for the boys and only spent $38 !!!! Then I bought another winter jacket (a cool one since my ds won't wear the other one cause it isn't cool) and thought at $24 I was getting a great bargain from $60 but it rung up at $16. !!!! I LOVE SHOPPING SALES!!!! So I spent less money and now there will be NO FIGHTING him to wear his jacket. Puffy jackets aren't cool....who knew? lol Hope everyone is doing well or as well as can be......HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

PS....It must take her a few days to warm up.....she was gushing today about how great I look for losing almost 30 lbs!!! So unlike her, but GUSHING IS GOOD!!!! I take back what I said earlier.:o

Angie I know what you mean. I feel like a big balloon. Im up 5 more lbs this week. I just cant get into it. I dont know what is wrong with me. I dont enjoy being fat, so why cant I quit making poor decisions. I just feel so depressed today because I am so mad at myself. After seeing a 5lb gain you would think that would keep you into gear, Oh no, I came home and ate. I think I have some soul searching to do tonight to figure out why I keep doing this to myself.

Hello Everyone~ I weighed in tonight~ I lost 1/2 pound so now my total is 14 pounds lost. I am still doing my treadmill and have also started walking downtown every other night for 30 mins.

The gym opened back up today and I was there bright eyed and bushy tailed!! YEAH!!! Although I didn't do my weight training, I did run for 40 min on the treadmill and did almost 200 situps!!! BOOYAAAA We were heading out earllier than usual to see some museums and city sites. Food choices have been good so no worry there. Hope everyone had a great New Years celebration.

Akiss.....Hang in there GF!! Just start!! Get one good meal under your belt and then hope for another OP meal. Before you know it, day #1 will be put to bed and then work on day #2. Slow and steady baby steps.....you can do this but the key to stopping a slide is to stop it before it snowballs into a major slide. COME ON!!! :carrot:

Cryket.....WTG!!! Losing 1/2 lb during the holidays is awesome!!! What a great way to kick off the new year!! :cp:

Thanks Angel, I did end last night with a good meal. I had a 4oz grilled steak a huge salad and 1/2 a potato w/1/4c ff sour cream. I didnt get all of my water in, but there's always today. Im feeling much better and I know the only way to see a loss is by staying on plan. I dont know if there was a glitch in my scale or if it was water weight, because when I weighed myself again this morning it was 211. 2lbs is a lot better than 5lbs. Any ideas on that one? Im not changing my ticker though until Monday on my next weigh in.

So here's to an OP day for everyone including myself!!!!!!!!!

Hey all! Welcome djmommy! Glad to see we still have everyone aboard! My first meeting was an eye opener, but I'm ready to get the ball rolling. I updated my tickers and day one was a great success. All my fruits & veggies, all my dairy and my water & oils! Today is proving to be a bit more difficult. I'm hungrier today. But I guess that's just my body adapting to the fact that I'm not eating like a horse anymore!!! LOL So... motivated, loving it and can't wait for Tuesday. Oh, and my best friend who joined with me and I walk for 1/2 an hour each lunch hour. WOOHOO!!! Bring on the size 14s!!! LOL

Morning!! :coffee:

Angie.....It isn't really the season starter with all the contestants (red team vs blue team). They are called Biggest Loser, special edition. It puts 2 families against each other for 15 days and then they go home and keep it up. The winning family takes the prize of $50,000. I believe they will have 2 more 2hr shows before the regular team show starts. Someone on another thread, posted links to NBC that showed a picture progress of the families. One parent was unrecognizable.....he had lost so much weight!!! They are motivational for sure!!! Dh is signing up for the Discovery Health Challenge, and hoping for the 8 week free Bally's membership. WOOHOOO.....he is wanting to lose abit since .......he quit smoking he's put on 15 lbs and 1 yr ago he severed his achillies heel and hasn't felt okay to excercise.

I also walk downtown every other night too~ I have to agree if you eat more close to your points for day will lose. Im drinking more water too getting in 100 oz

Hey Ladies, I hope everyone is having a great day. I watched the biggest loser special and it was motivational. Both families looked absolutely great afterwards and did you see the new kitchen stuff they got!

Im debating on joining the fitness club Curves for women. I just dont know if I want to pay for a year which is about $500 or if I should just buy some DVD's to do at home along with my elliptical. Has anyone been to curves before. I love the idea of the 30mins 3 times a week, but I dont know if I would get tired of the same thing. When I was at a regular gym it took me atleast 2hrs between doing weights and cardio and I just dont have that kind of time anymore between work and the kids.

Ive been doing really great this week and I cant wait until Monday for weigh in. Im just hoping I can make it thru the weekend which is always so hard for me.

angel-eyes
01-07-2006, 02:54 PM
Akiss.....I guess what you have to decide is; if you buy the dvd's and workout from home....is it something you are actually going to do? We all buy the tapes etc, in hopes of working out from home, but in actual fact....I do very little at home and always make excuses and find something better to do. With a gym membership.....I make the time (as in an appt) and feel so much better getting out of the house. It took me a few months at an half hearted committment to see that I use it now almost everyday. I would also think that a free babysitting service could be helpful to you. Really think hard about this one so that you are not adding to the dust collection.

Yesterday was an awesome day for me. Something has suddenly come alive in me and I'm loving it....let me explain. Its been coming for awhile, this new me. It started in Oct when we were on holidays in Colorado, I went up the side of a mountain in a gondola (extreme fear of heights) but I psyched myself up to do...AND I DID!! This week with my inlaws visiting we went up inside the St.Louis Arch (height 630 ft) and peered out the teeny tiny windows to the ground. And last night.... I went downhill skiing for the first time!!! What a blast!!! The boys scouts sponsored a ski night for half price, from 7pm to 3 am. Night skiing...YEAH!!! We skiied for over 4 hours, and took turns taking care of 7yo ds on the bunny slopes. It didn't matter that I only did the bunny slope BUT I DID IT!!! I 'll never forget hearing my ds say..." thats my Mom, awesome!!" It was sooo thrilling. Another Mom, sat in the lodge for 5.5 hours waiting for her family to finish up. She was still waiting when we left at midnight. She couldn't believe that I would go......hehe!!! I feel so fantastic, and let me tell you.....a year ago I wouldn't have even considered it because of my weight, I would have felt content to sit out. THIS IS SUCH A BREAK THROUGH!!!! Makes me think....what is next?

djmommy
01-07-2006, 03:57 PM
cryket. good for you keep on moving I think that is sooo important...Anna you have to find what works best for you.I find I need to get out. My dh encourages me to get the membership to get out for a piece of mind. I love working out at the gym....I have tried to work out home and I am not successful. I do know that some people are better at working out in ther home... My sis does curves and loves it so far......Angel eyes you go girl that is awesome... you are right you are feeling a new energy for life.. that is so wonderful.......Well ladies I am on day 6 of sb. I feel so great. I even worked out again today.. My abs hurt like @#$%. I could not do them at all. My goal is to be able to do them 2 days in a row,soon.....Anyway I went and that is what is important.I feel like my pants are lose too. I am afraid to weigh in I may wait to weigh myself next week just to see a nice big #. Good luck everyone we are all doing well.

I am one of those who are better working out at home.
I could never get motivated to get to the gym and would always find some excuse not to go.
The best investment I could have made was to buy a treadmill, it's in my bedroom and I have an old tv and video right beside it.
Now I stagger out of bed at 6 am and straight onto my treadmill, I watch videos of programmes from th night before and my 30 mins to an hour just flies by.
I even managed to maintain it over winter last year..no way I could have done that with the gym.
But it really is finding out what works best for you, and making the plan stick

It was so great to look out so far. Not only did you give in to your fear of heights, but you also made you little man proud of his mom!!!!!!!! Congratulations on the NSV!!!!

I look at my elliptical everyday im just bored with it I guess. I think Im gonna go ahead and join Curves I can always cancel and get my money refunded since Im just going to pay the year membership up front.

I have a great bean soup recipe that I can share too. Anyway get as much info as you can before starting. I feel so great. Not sluggish and very happy. Hey Everyone! I am so excited I was down 7lbs from at weigh in!!!!! i even weighed twice to make sure that it wasnt a mistake. The lady just giggled at me! I got my first workout in this morning on my elliptical. Im going to try just doing that and maybe some extra walking for the next month, then I will decide to join Curves. All of the Curves here are just about a year old. It's $30 a month or I can pay $447 up front for the year. So im opting for that if I join. I just like the idea of 30minute workout. I will still do my extra cardio on top of that and I figured I can still buy the walk away the pounds to do along with going to Curves. I just think it will be easier to go do afterwork. When I had my membership at a regular gym I would spend 2hrs between cardio, weights, or a class. I just dont have that type of time right now. Plus I can always cancel my membership at Curves if I decide it's not for me and can join a regular gym.

DJMOMMY - GREAT JOB!!! Congrats on such an awesome loss!! WOOHOO!!!

Angie, welcome back. Glad your computer is fixed!

Anna - I have 2 friends who are doing Curves and love it. 30 minutes and they're done. They both have 1 year olds so this fits well into their schedules. I struggled with it because I enjoy weights and the excitement of upping your poundage or whatever, so it didn't work out all that great for me. But, it's exercise and if you use it, it will help, so congrats on joining!!

Sorry I missed others... I'm just now getting caught up. UGH!! LOL It was a pretty uneventful weekend which proved to be troublesome. Saturday night I slept in a BAD bed and woke up with my bad WAYYYY out of wack. It hurt to even walk. So, I laid around on a heating pad most of the day and by 5:00 the boredom munchies and comfort food cravings kicked in hardcore and I ate WAYYYY too many poinst in chocolate. But I'm back on track today and WI is tomorrow. I'm actually looking forward to it. Then I'm also checking into my free 1-month membership to YMCA that I won and am thinking now's the best time to start moving for real! Broomball has been postponed due to abnormal temps (no ice) and I've got till April to shed at LEAST 20 pounds! So... let's get this party started!!!!

Have a great OP day ladies!!

woohooo....losers unite!!! Good job everyone, doesn't it feel good to be in charge and feel better about yourself?

Yesterday I went to Target and splurged a bit on some new workout wear. I can't believe I'm fitting into some of their XL's!!!! I might have bought more than I should but......I feel really good in them, besides coral is a favourite colour of mine. I'm also down today 2 more pounds. I had my doubts though, last night I snacked on a few sunchips and had a bowl of cereal befor bedtime. It could have been alot worse. Have a great day everyone and keep up the OP days!!!:carrot:

angel eyes great job on the loss and whoo hoo on buying xlarge doesnt that make you feel so good. that was the best thing in the world to me when i could shop at regular stores in regular depts instead of plus sizes. keep it up.

i'm back from weigh in down 2 pounds 6 oz for the week happy with that leader was supposed to set my big goal today cause i had lost 40lbs since returning to the meetings but, she didnt instead gave me another 10 pound goal i also gota charm for my key chain today a set of hands clapping for attending 16 weeks actually i have been more than 16 weeks but, she just got around to giving me the award when i hit the 50lb goal that they set which is 10 more pounds away i get another prize whoo hhooo

lets all have a great week we can do this girls. think i'm fixin to take my lil guy out for a stroll :) its supposed to be in the 70's here today .. how crazy is that.

Fit what you can into your day and be glad for it!!!Enjoy your dinner out, and yes...I've 'eaten' before going out to dinner also. You might have some ww's 0 pt soup, that way you also get in some veggies!! WOOHOO:carrot:

hi guys.. Playgroups are awesome.I loved the ones I had when the boys were young. They are friends with some of them still. One of my best buds is from one of those play groups. It gets harder to meet new people when they get older. Today I am bored out of my mind. There is only so much cleaning I can do. He is down at a friends house. Oh well , Hope you all are having a great day. I gues I will go put pictures in an album or something...

Howdy all!

Sorry I've been MIA -- I was in FL (gained back some weight) and my grandfather died while on vacation. Needless to say, I am back where I started and then some.

Re-started WW on Monday (rather than waiting until Saturday) and am hitting the gym tonight. When *is* Groundhog's Day? I am taking my GF to Phantom of the Opera in NY (sshhhhh! it's a suprise) for her b-day on Feb. 28th and I would like to hit 189 by then. It's a lofty goal, but I can do it!

well walked a few times tonight 1 mile earlier then my lil guy and i walked down the road and had to carry him back and then pushed him down the road in the stroller again a little bit later it was just so nice it was hard to be in the house and once we got outside the last thing he wanted was to be stuck inside .

Jenne Im sorry for your loss. Welcome back! Just take everyday at a time.

Congrats girls on the loss way to go!!!!!!

Angie does your library have a story time for young kids. I used to take my youngest one to it from the time she was sitting and she loved it. It was free and you would go and they would sing some songs and read a few books to the babies. It was so great meeting people who have children the same age as you.

Well I did really well today on food, water, and exercise! My body is hurting! Well gotta go eat dinner hope everyone has a great night!

Jenne I to am sorry for your loss. Huntermommy I did story time too.My boys loved it. That might be a lot of fun for you two and may brake up your day... Went out last night and I did great. I had a salad and took off everything I should not eat. Did not have any bread which I was told was amazing. And I did not drink, only water. I do not know how I did it because I was having a hard time before I left home. I was really fighting the urge to eat.I got my work out in. 30 min of the elipitcor, 30 min wlking than I did an arebics class too. It kicked my but to much. Next time I can only take her class and forgo the extra working out. Maybe I loss a few???? I can only hope. Good luck today ladies...

Okay... that's weird! I know I responded yesterday, but my post isn't there. WEIRD!!! Anyway... welcome back Jenn! So sorry about your loss!! And Angie you are an awesome motivation to our group!! Everyone else, congrats on your losses. So sorry I can't do individual responses. Work has finally picked up and it seems by the time I get home there just aren't any hours left in the day! LOL

I had WI last night and lost 4 pounds!! My mom did too. My best friend lost NINE! I about died!!! She was so happy! Anyway... so, we also went to a "Have a Ball" class with exercise balls. I really enjoyed it. So, now I might join the YMCA with my 2 best friends. Still on the ropes about that. Plus... BROOMBALL STARTS TONIGHT! WOOOOHOOOOO!!! I've been waiting 2 months for this to start. Think hockey, soccer and lacrosse combined. It's a blast and great exercise. I love competitive team games, so I'm really excited to start. I'll let you know if I can walk tomorrow! LOL

I had a great time at Applebee's!! I stuck to my guns and ordered the new chicken dish..."confetti chicken"...very good!!! The chicken had a smokey flavour to it and the side of veggies is large. My friend however, ordered the deep fried citrus chicken.....AND IT WAS KILLING ME!!!.....I could smell the tangy citrus smell and my mouth was watering for it. Club soda and lemon was what I ordered to drink, so all in all a good lunch. Bonus*** at Walmart, I bought a really CUTE lightweight winter ski jacket in a pretty teal colour on CLEARANCE!!! Its tapered to show a bit of waist curve....YEAH!!! I know the season is almost over, but I don't even own a ski jacket. When I went skiing last week, I wore dh's wind breaker polar fleece jacket.

I love applebee's ww menu. They closed the one that was 5 mins from my work so now I have to drive 20-25mins to one, so needless to say havent been in awhile.

I did really well today. I tried to stay on the low end of my point range since today is my off day to exercise. I did get in tons of water again today. djmommy...WTG!!! What an awesome workout you did!! :cheer: You will def. have a weight loss come weigh in day. woohooo

Hi huntersmommy....How are you doing? getting those workouts in? When does hunter's play group meet?

I had my workout this morning....did some free weights and then the treadmill. Kinda ho hum about it, but treadmill showed a 500 cal burn so I guess its all good. I was beet red by the time I finished, the aerobics step class had all the fans turned on them. Ususally I face one or more fans to beat on the treadmills but didn't have any today. **note to self**....NEED FANS!!! Everyone looked like they thought I was going to keel over. :D

Hey y'all... is it too late to be in on the GroundHog Day Challenge??? I started my WW on January 2nd... Y'all look like you're doing well...

Cryket 34... Oh my goodness... that sounds really lousy with the abscessed tooth all the way into the sinus!!! Wow... I want & need to lose weight, but not THAT way please. Hope you are feeling better.

Anna... congrats on the water exercise... there are no indoor pools here... I can't even imagine going into a heated pool to exercise & stepping out of it & catching pnemonia...!!!

Anjie... hope you & your sweet little one enjoyed your walk today. It started out here with thunderstorms & pouring rain... (driving to work was just wunnaful... NOT!!!) but turned out ok & kind of pleasant. The WIND was awful today. (the gusts kept blowing the front door of my office open, & my paperwork kept flying all over the place...) {Hey... can I count THAT as my exercise for the day please?}

DJmommy...!!! Awsome girl... I would LOVE to have ANYTHING that I wear be too big for me... You are doing so well...

Everyone seems to be progressing... the worst part for me tho is the head hunger.

Good luck to every one... MJ : >

Hey ladies! Glad to see everyone is doing great today. Angie my 2 year old loves The Little Einsteins movie Our Huge Adventure. I swear she has had to watch it everyday once in the morning and once at night since Christmas when she got it, she can pretty much say all the lines with the characters on the movie.

Im only at 6 points for the day which is really low. I have had so much to do today that I didnt have time to sit down and eat lunch. Were going out to eat at Applebee's, I talked my other half into going out there, ive been thinking about it since it was on the board. I did work out today and I still have some more water that I need to drink, but will get there before the end of the day.

Thanks so much for the acceptance y'all...

I tried to navigate the National Weight loss challenge site... but it keeps kicking me out... I don't need all that confusion!!! I just wanna talk to real people ya know!!!

The weather here has turned a lot cooler... (we were in upper 70s) so that should be different.

Sorry you missed your walk...

Applebees sounds great... I haven't been to an Applebees since before the storm... We got to go to Crackerbarrel last night... *so EXCITED... they had REAL plates & glasses, & not paper & plastic... HEY we're makin headway here people!!!! ) had some fish & 3 veggies... & asked for some Promise instead of butter... I stayed well within my points!!!

Today I have to clean as much as I can inside the house, & go to the grocery when it opens to get stuff for the week.

My daughter (who lost her job because of cut backs at her hospital after the storm...) & her intended are coming over this afternoon... She is moving on Tuesday to New Mexico. Mr Wonderful has arrived to help her move & they will drive there cross country... together!!!

... So it will be official... all three of my kids will be living out of state.... soooo sad!

Well... thanks for being here for me...

Please remind me that eating over this will not help....

I will weigh on Monday & update my little tracker then...

Y'all have a great day!!! Bye for now... MJ

Well I'm in for Ground Hog's day challenge. Ground Hog's day is my birthday so I guess I would be falling flat on my face if I weren't in for it. Since it is only about 2 weeks away though I guess I'll have to set a very modest goal for then. How about 4 pounds? That is 4 pounds after I meet my next goal (which will be in one more pound). So five total from where I'm at now.

Angie... I know that her counselor let her eat more points... & told her she HAD to eat all the extra 35 pts per week, because the baby was growing & taking her nutrients... She really did eat well... & always kept fresh fruit in her office. She did really, really well... & went from needing to lose weight to being "all baby"... Her baby will be over 9 pounds I'm sure... & she had energy til just recently.... now she's just ready for him to come out!!!!

I will ask her... but in the mean time... just eat healthy & try not to overdo... I'm THRILLED for you!!!!

Christine... Great goal girl... congrats on eating so well keep us updated.

DJmommy... Thanks for the encouragement.... we all need to take baby steps, one day at a time.

& you wanted to know where I'm from? Where the eye of Katrina passed... The North Shore of New Orleans!!!! or Katrina Land... the other third world country!!! What about y'all???

Sherry What a great BD present you will give yourself... I know you can do this.

Ive been doing really well, but resisting temptation is getting so much harder, so im having to look deep inside to keep the motivation going. I know I can do this have done it before. The weekends are the hardest for me. My DF has no clue on the concept of healthy and has the biggest sweet tooth so he always making a cake or brownies, buying cookies, or ice cream. He about died last night when I told him that this is just not working and im just going to have to leave him, if he continues to bring in my favorite desserts for the next few weeks. So he agreed until I can get into this where I can say no and not think twice about a dessert then he can bring them home again.

Hope everyone has a great OP day! Heading to do grocery shopping for the week. Wish me luck going to Super Walmart(yuck) with all 3 of my kids by myself!

Oh my gosh hunter mommy I am soooooooooooo happy for you. What a terrific blessing. With your motivation I am sure you will not gain all that weight back. You are already eating healthy daily that you will continue. You can also continue to work out.I saw this girl the other day. and I noticed how remarkable she looked and she was preg.Just walking on the tred. What terrific news.

I had afew chips, avery small oatmeal cookoie, avery small piece of pizza, smaller than a deck of cards. It all tasted so yummy. I have not had carbs in 14days so you can imagine. Anyway I did not work out today or yes and tom I will not either... AHHHHHHHH.On a better note I did lose 1 pd, I can not weigh myself tom I will be so disappointed if I gained any back.... I have decided to stay on phase 1 until friday. Than dh is taking me out for my bday.I am looking forward to it. I can not wait to have some wine and eat. I will hav e fish but I am not going to hold back entirely. No bread of course,I will try to stick with it as best as I can. This is the first time we have been out since we moved in Aug. Hey Ladies,

Im down 3lbs this week yeah!!! I still need to work out today. All the kids are home from school and daycare. So im hoping to at nap/quiet time.

Walmart was walmart. I hate going to that place it is always so crowded and people catching up on months blocking the aisle. The kids were good. I bribed them with a candy of their choice if they were good.

I just dont know what to do with my older two they are fighting again so I have to go put them in timeout. It was so much better when they were little and loved to play with eachother.

woohooAnna! That is great. You are 3 lbs closer to your goal! ALl the girls are home today as well....they have been detting along nicely today..playing board games. DH took the youngest (Mandy) to the dentist for me...which was super nice of him, she needed to get sealants on. Its about a 40 minute drive so I was happy he was home, mostly so I didnt have to take all of the girls...so that was a big help!
You are lucky they do nap/quiet time, my girls havent since I don't remember when...they are 9, 8 and 6
Tomorrow is weigh in for me......

As for me... I survived my weekend traveling. We went to a HUGE sport show and a George Strait concert and I managed to only use 10 flex points over the weekend. WOOHOO!! WI tomorrow, so we'll see. Then I'm off to MY fertility specialist on Thursday to see what he has to say about our going back to ttc in April. Send some baby dust this way Angie!!!! LOL

Lyndsay, I wish you the best of luck too/ Anna way to go. Christine I am sure you will do good at your weigh in. I promised myself I wouldnot weigh myself but since I did bad yesterday I gave in to see how much damage I did. I lost another pd. Total so far 12 pds..... Yeah... I did a little cheating today and I know I need to stop or else it will catch me. The boys will be back in school tom and I will be back on schedule. I need to change the tracker. I am wearing snugger shirts. Before I could not because of those rolls. Do not get me wrong I still have them just not as noticable.Anyway I still need to fit in that dress in 5 weeks. I sure hope I can do it. I wish you all great sucess this week on your weigh ins..... GOOD LUCK

Hi to all...I had a little more meat than I should of with dinner. But tomorrow is weigh in for me, I think I should be okay cause I hardly used any flex points this week and I am done eating for the night. I think the late night eating gets to me as well.
Lynsey, How was the concert? I love country music. You did well with your points. Good luck atthe specialist this week....I will keep you in my thoughts!
djmommy..I do not have a scale at home for good reason. I would constantly be on it.I ahve those rolls your talking about (ew!) But I can not get discouraged, it's week one. I get nervous becasue my belly has always been my biggest problem...as I lose weight, I am nervous my belly fat will just hang there, I know that sounds disgusting (which it is) but is there anything i can do to help that area?

Hang in there I am sure you remember the 1st trimester is the worst.I hope you are feeling great soon Christine, I have the same fear. I will cross that bborder when the time comes. I am trying to do cardio and abs as mych as possiable. I remember once an instructor told me to do running because that would help the belly fat. Trust me I have a long way to go. I enjoyed tooo many beers in the past and now I am paying for it. Although I have always had a belly since I was a little girl. My new thing is no beer any more with the dh only wine and hopefully not that often. anyway got the workout in today. Not a super great one due to the instructor, but I did do 1 hr of step, and 1 hr of strenght training. Anyway I have been eating those morning star burgers. I am addicted Yummy. Has anyone tried them before. Have a great day ladies. I will check in later. Barb... Back again (I am starting to feel like an Eminem song!)

My sister had her baby! 8 pounds, 5 ounces, born at 12:330p on 1-12-06 at 20 1/2 inches -- he's the cutest thing ever my nephew, Mr. Aidan Vance :)

So, while in NY I ate Pizza and Mozzarella Sticks -- but within reason! Go figure. Gained .6 ounces so not so bad. Back on track and going to the gym tonight -- despite forgetting my contacts and wearing glasses.

How is everyone? I am going to read back and catch up. It's been a busy January for me with FL, my grandfather passing and now my new nephew!

Yeah Angie, just think 1st trimester is the hardest, but it doesnt last that long before you know it your new little baby will be here.

Anna... sorry I missed you in my last post but WOOHOO girl! You are 2 pounds from your Ground Hog's Day goal! WOOHOOO!!!

Mom2my3girls - the concert was AWESOME!! George Strait is one of the few entertainers who can just stand up on a very simple stage and sing and still have the place going nuts. We had a great time. It was nice to spend some time together.

Cryket - congrats on the 5 pounds, but sorry for the way you had to lose it. Hope you're feeling better!!

Angie, thanks so much for the baby dust. You'll be in my thoughts for a very uneventful and happy pg!!

As for me... WI was last night and I'm down 2 more pounds! WOOHOO!! Between me & the 3 people who joined with me, we've lost 33 pounds in 2 weeks!! WOW!!!! Dh is moving up for SURE this weekend. School starts Monday for him. He also has an interview with a juvenile facility on Friday, so I'm praying he gets that. He'll work full-time nights. He said he'll do whatever he can to finish school, but make more money so adding a baby won't be such a big deal financially for us. This is a huge step for him!!! And a big committment time-wise with only 2 years left of school.

Anywho... have a great OP day everyone!!!

put in some foil with lemon juice and creole seasoning. I think around 325 degrees until it turns white all the way thru.

I did really well today. still trying to get my water in for the day. I went to Ruby Tuesdays for lunch. I passed on the salad bar, because I can never figure out how many points all the bad choices are. So, I had a small steak, brown rice pilaf, and side ceasar salad. It was only 13 points for everything and it was really yummy!

Hi djmommy..i have never seen that show..biggest loser...what network is iton?
akisstoyou-good job iwth the lunch. I love rubytuedays. Chili's always kills me. There "fit" menu is not really worth it...better off eating what you want for the points you will eat there.
Okay, I took a big step today!!! I bought a YMCA membership for the whole family. There are plenty of things ofr the girls to do, I doubt my hubby will go. And there will nebver be the reason I cant go becasue of the girls..They ahve a heated pool, a tween center, kids'center and teen center. My oldest is almost 10, she has to take a 6 week fitness ed class and then she can work on machines with me...that will keep me going! Also my 8 year old (and 9 year old ,m too) can tale all the aerobic classesw/me...I am excited. I really need to add exercize. They have a great outdoor course too. I have to make myself go. I am setting a goal of 3 trips a week. I went out and got siome workout pants and shirtsand sports bras..I didnt buy to many becasue my gial is to be smaller very soon......Tomorrow I have a 9:30 environmnetal Science class and afterwards I am ging to go straight to the Y and probably do some treadmill...anything. I really do not know what to do as far as equipment but any activity has got to be better than none. I alos have like 4 visits to personal trainer there so, I want to atleast meet with them and develop a plan for myself. I will kep you posted...I swayed with the food today....I am not letting that stand in my way...tomorrow will be better.

Ever since the holidays I am struggling with being hungry. I find evenings are the worst. I'm not gaining but I'm not losing. I have gotten lax on writing everything down so I am getting back to my routine and trying to grab a water and see if that will fill me up. I have set my goal and am looking at joining curves. I have a hard time getting to exercise with my son since he is special needs and he wants to watch his Disney movies and gets upset if we put other things on. I work so I could go at lunch 3/4 times a week and get in my 30 minutes. Anyone else try Curves. I just have to get this last 26#'s off.

Hopefully I can get some energy to get to the gym tonight. I haven't been all week. I *am* going to walk to the bank though, instead of driving. I am off ladies!

Hi girls. I've been having a hard time since Monday's dentist appt. Turns out I was there much longer (3 hours) and barely made it home to crawl into bed. I did make the boys mac 'n cheese and some soft eggs for me as thats about all I could eat. Dh took care of them the rest of the night while I was in bed. Holy cow!!....3 days later, my jaw is still very tender....teeth are all right, and I get my perm. crowns in 2 weeks. Tuesday was a complete write off and I ate all the wrong foods.(one big giant carb fest) I was clearly turning to comfort foods since I was feeling so out of whack. Wednesday was a much better day, I had a balanced breakfast much better mini meals throughout the day. I have to get motivated to 'just do it' and feel better about myself. I think I need my own pep talk!!! lol Oh yeah,,,, I was also up 2 lbs on Monday.

I will do personals later, there are quite a bit posts to get caught up on but most seem to be on a roll and doing really well. Keep up those OP days!!!

Ok ladies...repeat after me:

INHALE

EXHALE

INHALE

EXHALE

Ok, now that we caught our breath, let's get back on the horse! I got lax in writing it all down too (oh 3 starburst is fine to not write), but I feel horrible about it.

So yesterday, I logged in all my food, walked to the bank and back (a mile or so) and even went to the gym! A coworker who was down there got me thinking when she said,

"everyone has 30 minutes to exercise!"

You know what, she's right. So starting yesterday, I am going to work out 3x a week. Not necessarily at the gym either. I will walk a mile or two at least one weekend night with my HB. I am going to get to the gym 2-3 nights a week too.

I woke up in less pain than I'd been in for months. I just feel good!

Back to my salad (chaser to my grilled ham and cheese lunch! ;) )

Hey everyone... I'm here just to check in.

Weighed in this morning... I lost another pound... will have to update my little tracker (I think that blasted thing is actually helping)... so I lost 9 pounds so far...

My goal for this challange is 10 pounds & I have one week to go...

One major snag tho... I lost my job Friday... & my daughter moved to New Mexico today... (she has been the one to stay close to home forever... I never thought she would EVER go....)

Food is an oh so powerful lure right now...

Well... since I don't have a job anymore... maybe I will get up really early tomorrow & head for "Pick Up The Pace"... that's like a Curves... it opens around 7am...

Also there are still a lot of trees & junk that have to be cleared... so if weather permits I will work on that for awhile...

& of course I can always start shoveling out the house... (working 46 hours a week allows very little time for house cleaning!!!!)

Thanks for listening... will check on y'all tomorrow... I'm SURE I will have some time!!!! MJ

I did horrible the last few days of the week and of course it showed on the scale today at weigh in. Up 2lbs. YUCK! So today is #1 OP for me. Im about to go get on my elliptical machine and pump up the ball for my Core Secrets. Ive decided that im going to do my elliptical on MON, WED, & FRI and my Core Secrets on TUES, THUR, & SAT. This should get me going on working out for right now until I can join some kind of gym. I agree with journaling. I do a lot better when I have to write everything down. So im back to doing that today also.

Hi all!

Walking went well. LOL HB has never had to really worry about weight so it's hard -- but she's really supportive so that's good.

I did well with eating this week -- getting some "bad" foods but only eating half and using veggies to supplement. I was so proud. No loss though but I will totally have one this week. I KNOW IT!!!

Happy Monday girls!

Angel eyes good job on choosing not to go to odq. That would have done me in too. Jenne, Smart girl wanting to walk to get ice cream, keep moving. If they want it bad enough they have to work for it too. Sparkels, jdo not turn to food, as easy as it is for me to say do not. You have come to far to go there. I know it is rough. I can not even imagine how hard it is. Heck I am having a hard jtime letting my little one go to 1st grade and he is only in K. I can not even imagine how hard it will be for me. Think of the great visits you will have with her. More one on one more personal. Think how happy she will be when she sees the new you. .... Anna do not be so hard on your self. Get back on track. I am sure I gained too. I just worked out even harder today and jyes. I am also eating a lot of jello. .............. I jsaw my Aunt this week and she asked if I lost weight. Whoo. I am so glad someone noticed. I am jgoing to see my mom in March . I really hope I drop some more by than. She knows how bad I want this.I did buy a new pair of jeans. A size smaller. Still have a ways to ogo but at least it is moving down. Anyway I ohope you all have a great week. Lets stay op the best we can Good luck

Sounds like I can jump on the wagon! I had a horrible week and gained 2 pounds. What did I learn from this... well, if you eat anything and everything your little heart desires for a week and don't journal a single point or earn up to your choices.... the scale will get even and then so will your conscience!!! I feel sick adn guilty!!! So... this week it's all about getting back to basics. I know this plan works and I think I've been bothered lately by the fact that I was almost there once before and gained it all back... who's to say I won't do it all over again!?? But then again... I think this is a life long battle, so I'd best settle in for the long haul!!

On a good note... I had my OB/GYN appointment last week and we both agreed that as far as ttc goes we need to skip straight to IVF (been ttc for 5+ years). So, dh & I see the "super RE" from the main university on March 8th at my clinic. I can't wait... but I SOOOOO want to be much thinner. So... time to hit these goals and make them a thing of the past. I have 6 weeks to lose weight. I hope to lose 10-15 by then. I'd love to be in the 180s... that's 13 pounds. I CAN DO THIS!!!!

Sorry I've been MIA, but I swear I'm back and ready to cheer everyone on!!! I need you guys!! I realized after the past week of not checking in... just how much!

So I weighed in this morning at home instead of yesteray and according to my scale wich is what my tracker is based on I am down 2 more pounds since last week! I am going to go with tha rather than the 36 from the ww meeting, I was very bloated yesterday being that my aunt landed this morning.
Ladies..I am noticing that everyone seemed to have a difficult week so lets remember...DIET..Daily Intelligent Eating Technique...thats what activity points are for, if you are really hungry workout to cover what we have over indulged.
Trust me I worked out 4 times last week at high intensity and ate out 4 times at restuarants and ate baaad point value food and still lost because I made up for it in my activity..we can do this together!

Well, I did good on my points today. Im just so down on gaining those 2lbs, then I was bad yesterday and weighed myself and up another 2lbs from my weigh in. Im just so mad at myself. So I kicked myself in the B*tt and made myself be good today. I really could go for 2nds on some more chili, but I jumped online instead. I didnt do my core secrets like I had planned, but maybe I will before I go to bed. Mommy2my3girls- Core Secrets is a workout video with a stability ball and you use hand weights it's by gunner something and has brooke burke on it. It's easy to do, makes you sweat and I had great results the first time around.

Djmommy, Good Job on your NSV. I will take a size smaller any day.

Lindsay, im there with you. I know I did this once already and I know I can do it again. I just cant find that "thing" inside me that made me stick to it so much better than now. I keep slipping up and losing and gaining the same 10lbs over and over. I just get so discouraged that im not at the weight I got down to. I know it didnt happen over night before and I know it will not happen over night this time either. I know last time I didnt set any weight goals. I just took what ever loss the scale showed whether it was 1lb or 4lbs and was happy and this time it seems no matter how great my loss I end up feeling like it isnt enough. The only goals I set last time were get my water in everyday and exercise.

sounds good, i had never heard of it before...don't get discouraged, you will get there! Watre and exercise...very important for me...i am trying to hang on, although i did og to vchili's for dinner, wasn't so bad because I had eaten low points thourghout the day...tomorrow I willwweigh in , but I am not going to let it get to me...I am expecting a gain~!

Christine, what part of Florida are you from? Good luck in Tallahassee. I love going there, the mall is great.

Im hoping that today is a better day for me. We are having a chili day. Everyone one in my department has to bring their chili, so we can vote on which one we want to submit in our chili cook off next week. They try to make work fun.. long story.

So im thinking chili is not that bad atleast the one I made it was only 4 points for a 1cup serving. So, im going to skip the cheese or rice that someone is bringing.

Im going to do this today! We can all do it! Let's just take one step at a time!

Hi guys, Sounds like everyone is up and down again. Me too. I was doing so well and the last few days I start out well and than I bomb. I have not gained anything but maybe a pd. I will know today, I am going to weigh in on the scale at the gym. Anyway after doing the sb diet and losing so quickly I still want to see # drop. I guess that is hard to do when you are chheating though. I ended up cleaning out the pantry and putting it all in the laundry cupboard again. I am like some of you I need to start recording again to stay focused. I did yesterday and I ate a lot of nuts.. Today fish and lots of veggies. I am off to work out. There is so many people to response to just remember we are all in the same boat. It took some time to get where we are know and it will take time to get where we want to be. We have to stay focused. See ya. Ihope we all have a grewat day.

Oh my gosh I just got a phone call from my doc. and my thyroid levels are too high. That is why I bet it has been so hard these last 4 months to lose the weight. Anyway It will take about 6 weeks for the meds to kick in . I hope and pray they get this thing under control. It has been 3 years they have been messing around with it. Do any of you have thyroid issues? Anyway I am joff to cook my dinner. If the recipe for this fish turns out I will let you all know. Have a great evening

Okay, I have had the hardest time this week. I dont know if TOM is going to come visit next week or what, but last night I found out I have the opportunity to go to England for 10days like the last week of Feb or 1st week of March. I am so excited as long as I can figure out how the family can make it without Mom around I am going. It's a free trip curtosey of my Grandpa who lives in England. It will just be my Dad and myself. No fiance, no kids, no work. So, I just have to make sure my Mom will help hubby with the kids, so I dont come back and him be in a mental ward. So this is my new motivation. I dont have very long, but I have too many relatives there that I have not seen in about 15 years. So today is the my new start and I am going to do this. I am going to be happy with any loss. So drinking water and exercising are my goals along with staying OP.

Good Morning!! :coffee: Sorry I've been MIA for awhile....dh has been on holidays and we've either been out doing things or he's been hogging the puter. :ink: Sounds like alot has been going on.....congratulations to the losers!! Ds has a birthday today and dh's is tommorow....HELP!!!....cake, cake and more cake!!! Thankfully ds wanted a DQ cake, so soft serve icecream is a bit more tolerable than cake with high fat icing!!! :hb:

Yesterday was a victory day for me as I was able to resist Krispy Kreme donuts that we brought to ds's classroom for snack. It wasn't so much the donuts, as to NOT eating while everyone else was eating. Some leftovers came home, and they sat on the counter for the longest while until it was dessert time at dinner. This was a huge victory since its the smell that hits you well before you actually open the box!!! :carrot:

Have a fantastic weekend!!!

Well I survived ds's birthday yesterday with minimal damage. I can't believe he's already 8 yo!!! Had his friends over for cake...(dq icecream cake) and presents and then without too much chaos, whisked them all off to see the new "Nanny McFee" movie!!! Really really cute!! HIghly reccomend it for the young kids. When we got back, it was here's your loot party bag...THANKS FOR COMING!!! hehe, thats the way I like'em. LOL

Today is day #2 of the birthday marathon.....its dh's day!!! He's not a sweet cake kinda guy, besides we still have left over icecream cake if he wants any, but we will go out for a nice bday dinner. Probably a steakhouse, since he LOVES his MEAT!!! I'll be okay today though, restaurants don't phase me anymore.....I get what I want(mostly grilled shrimp and side of veggies) almost everytime....I don't even look at what else is available. LOVE SHRIMP!!!

Hey everyone.....

Djmommy....Ground hog day is Feb 2nd!! WE're almost there....forgot all about it actually. lol... Yes!!...bday's are finally over. You're going to like the movie. It was really weird, at the end of the movie (theatre was packed) everyone started to clap!! When was the last time you had heard clapping? I noticed in the ad, the movie has already won 2 awards for 'family type values'.

Akiss....You are like us....actually, our bday extravaganza starts with 2 bdays in November.....then its Christmas.....and then you had better save any other bday ideas for dh and youngest ds's in January. Then thats it for the whole year!!! haha...CRAZY HUH? LIsten, a maintain is all good. Hey...you can keep TOM...he comes here tommorow for me. YUCK!!!

Hildy...Hope your vitamins are working and you're feeling better!!

ty for the comment djmommy. And good going for you on your weight loss. I also am addicted to the scale~ I know its not good to keep getting on it~ But I have to, to keep me in check with myself. If you are making cookies have something that is a no point snack to munch on while you do it so you dont eat cookies.
Good luck to you and everyone

Was looking back to beginning of this challenge I wanted to lose 10 pounds by groundhog day. I made it .

WOW Ladies sounds like everyone is getting awful close to their goals. I'm praying I reach mine tonight at WI, but we'll see. AF is here in full force and she's not being very nice about it. Otherwise... it's been a good week and I'm hoping the scale rewards me! :)

My only dilemma right now is what I want to do activity-wise. Dh is doing an 8 week fitness challenge with his Health & Wellness class in college. I told him I'm willing to do the same for 8 weeks (that'll bring us right up to our IVF and hopefully make for a healthier "us"). So... now I'm trying to decide between the YMCA by work, the YMCA by home (they don't have a reciprocity agreement GRRRRR!!!) or the workout facility at the college or just workout on my own (not likely, but an option). I'm weighing all the pros and cons and it's a tough decision!!! LOL I'll keep ya posted! :)

Well I started this challenge on January 14th. At that time I weighed 256. I had a goal to reach at 255, met that one and then set another for 4 more for Grounghog's day. Well that would have been 251, Yesterday I saw on the scale 250.5!

So I made the goal a couple of days early! My scale tends to go up and down a little before that new weight settles in, however and today (due to too salty of a meal last night) the scale is up a bit, but I don't count salt and water retention as real weight.

So I'm very pleased. 2 more days to lose the salt water!

Sherry WOOHOO!!! Great job on making your goal!!

Angie (huntersmommy) I'm so sorry the m/s is hitting you so hard! I hope there's relief in sight for ya! We miss ya, but understand. Check in when you can!!

Well, WI was last night and WOOHOO!! I just BARELY made my goal! Since my WIs are Tuesdays, I'll just say that that was my deadline. So, I'm very proud of myself. Even after a 2 pound gain last week, I lost that and more to hit goal this week. Now... I hope I can reach my next goal too. Oh and we did pictures and measurements last night... I lost 10.25 inches total! That was just the incentive I needed to keep going. I was depressed about ONLY 6 pounds, but 6 pounds AND 2 inches off my waist... I'll take it! :)

How about everyone else? Tomorrow's the day? What's the verdict? Who's close???
