I'll start. ;)

I've been inhaling the STUPID Jolly-Rancher-flavored candy canes I bought for my friends in the UK. I fly to London on Friday, and now I'll have to go out and buy MORE Jolly Rancher candy canes because I've eaten so many of them!!!! Grrrr.......

What have YOU been secretly eating these days? Sugar cookies meant for the kiddos?? Gum drops stolen from the gingerbread house in the living room?? Candy canes off the tree??

Fess up, chickies...it will make you feel better :) .

I work in a hospital, and it seems like every other patient has brought in cookies in the last ten days... I must admit, I've had several of them, but not nearly as many as I would have last year :)

I bought 2 big bags of candy (1 sack snickers the other reese cups). My daughters teacher wanted us to send them with treats for there christmas party and wrap a shoe box in wrapping paper, then a tag. Well, since there was only 18 in her class there was some left over.. and well hubby had to tell me to lay off after the 4-5 th snickers (my fav)..
Today she brings home the box and well I snuck 1 snickers out without no notices hehe..
Though Ive promised myself no more slip up's until Christmas dinner rolls around.

The mountain of chocolate at work is almost gone (the boss is from PA - near the Hershey factory)...most of it wasn't my fault...but I snagged a couple pieces on my way out pretty much every day it was there...oh well...at least I didn't start in the morning... :o

EVERYTHING!!! WE were supposed to have a Cub Scout Christmas party last Wednesday so I made 90 cookies for the boys to decorate and they canceled it because of weather! So those were here all week and now I made these cream cheese mints that my husband loves and i can't lay off of them. I haven't been too bad with the cookies, maybe one a day but they keep calling my name! Plus I have Hershey's Hugs around...thank heavens they are hugs with almonds (do they still make those??) or I'd be in big trouble. We made chocolate suckers for people for Christmas and I'm also glad to have those out of the house! I only indulged in one or two pieces of the extra but I know I would have gone for more if I'd of had the chance. I'm just trying to maintain and I'll be SO happy when those cookies are gone!

Good luck ladies! A little indulgence here and there is fine but I refuse to binge (anymore *hehe*)

Ditto the thanks for starting this thread. I did plan that I would lapse a bit this week (I have a lapse week every 8 weeks so this just fits into what I normally do anyway) but we have had a tin of chocolate at work, which I have been dipping into. And I don't like it. It's sugary and horrible. I normally only eat 70% cocoa chocolate (coz a little bit is so satisfying)

I'm going to try and have a better day today, not for calorie reasons, but I have a horrible sugar hangover today, and I don't want to fall into the trap of eating more sugar to make it go away! If I want soemthing sweet it has to be an apple!!!!

 Nothing yet...

Actually I opened my Christmas chocoalates early but I only had 2 so that replaces my daily evening piece of chocolate that I have anyway!

I was even relatively restrained at our work Christmas dinner yesterday! :D

Ok am I making you feel guilty yet?? Don't worry, I plan on inhaling mince pies, Christmas pudding, turkey, chestnuts, roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings, parsnips, carrots, and cheese and biscuits and of course those chocolates like it's going out of fashion on the 25th! I'd better eat it all then cos I'm back on the wagon on Boxing day!

cookie dough. cookie dough. cookie dough.
Once I get them baked, I'm not interested in the real cookies!
But MANNNNN, that cookie dough just yells my name! YIKES!

I made peppermint bark and have picked at that. I steal a couple of each of the different kinds of cookies I make to give away (last night I made shortbread and only stole one 1"x1" square!). I have been successful at limiting it to one or two treats every other day or so. I just want to maintain until after Christmas, then get back on the wagon.

Wow what a great thread. I had to have someone hide the homemade fudge for me. Nothing like creamy fudge at your fingertips

My DD sends me chocolate covered cherries every Christmas. Last night the dogs sniffed out the box under the tree. I opened it (with their help) and a whole layer disappeared in no time. This morning I actually threw out the rest with the trash! I cannot have that kind of thing in the house! I'm an addict!

Chocolate truffle hounds? That is an ingenious use for your pets.

Gah! Just been given a box of choccies and 2 bottles of wine from work! Gah! MORE CHOCOLATE! Gah! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrghh!

The wine is easy - I'm T-total (appropriate present no?) but chocolate.... :tantrum:

I now have to sit here with them on my desk and not open them! bibble!

LOL...THAT sounds familiar! A few weeks ago, my Basset sniffed out, opened, and ATE a package that included a pound of Australian red licorice and a box of strawberry champagne truffles. :o Thirty minutes later, it was "back" all over my carpet. :dizzy:

I guess the good news is that I didn't have a chance to eat it!! (Maybe she thinks she's helping me stay on plan ;) ).

My Girls are nuts for chocolate. Two weeks ago they got into my baking stash and scarfed about six cups of chocolate chips and two pounds of chocolate baking squares! Luckily they threw it all up. (At least the cleanup smelled pretty good! I must admit the sight of brown puddles on my kitchen floor was somewhat disconcerting!)
Hmmm...maybe I should recall that every time I see or think chocolate.

I still have some left over Hersey's Kisses for Holloween. I've hid it in the cupboard, but whenever I open it, I always sneak a couple! :o

Well, to be honest, just about anything I can get my hands on. :( Mostly cookies, though. I stuck them all in the freezer last night and feel pretty good about that.

What is it with bad dogs and eating chocolate? Don't they know it is poisonous to them:dizzy: My SIL sent DH and I a gift basket of chocolate last week. I ate about 3 pieces :o , but the next day our dog went into the kitchen while DH was outside talking to our neighber and ate all the rest. We had to take him to the vet (he is okay now).

Other than NOT getting to eat that chocolate, all throughout the office people have open boxes of chocolate, cookies, toffee, etc. on their ledges, in the kitchens, everywhere! I have allowed myself one piece of whatever per day. And a few days I have not even had any treats.

My sister is making fudge for X-mas though. I LOVE homemade fudge!!!!! Be warned for next week when i am crying about how much i ate:p

Frango Chocolate Mints. :carrot: I bought two boxes because I'm afraid Macy's won't sell them after they take over Field's. Except I'm not saving them for the possible dry spell...I'm eating them all now!

Not very much YET.

But I do have a bag of white chocolate chips lurking in my fridge (leftover from a baking project) and I have snuck one or two here and there! And yesterday at the bowling alley, my husband persuaded me to have a bite of his hot, soft pretzel. BAD husband!

Yesterday was my major munching day... but I've had a few treats here and there. It's mainly been homemade rice krispie treats and homemade fudge. UGH! I'm such a sucker for homemade goods!! I have restrained myself with the homemade cookies though... rice krispie treats are my weakness :/

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has a super hard time resisting!!
