Weight Watchers - epiphany, just in time for the holidays

Girls - the most extraordinary thing happened to me last week. Sorry I wasn't around. I went to work Monday and Tuesday, sneaking by a coworkers cube as early as 11a because I know she has M&M's but I don't want to go in so early, especially when she is there because that might make me a pig, although she puts them out for all...

Anyway, :ink:, I was up to my old tricks.

Then I was out Wed., Thurs., and Fri. and had the epiphany of all epiphanies (sp?). HB (Honey Bunny) and I are on a strict budget. So like I reported in the Christmas Challenge last week, we went out and bought enough food to eat 3 meals plus 2 snacks last week (at least for me. HB is skinny so she doesn't have to worry). Despite being semi-sick (and her, REALLY sick) and bored, I didn't over eat!

I read in another thread that one sighs when they are full -- usually halfway in between a meal. Well, despite not believing it myself, sure enough I was sighing.

So, I stopped eating.

I know there are starving kids in Africa. I know there are hungry kids here. But despite the drilling my mother always gave me, I stopped eating, and immediately tossed the rest, as opposed to leaving it in front of me in fear I'd graze.

I listened to my body all week and ate when I was hungry. I drank water. And you know what? I lost a lot of weight this week!

Now, I hope my mind stays this open as I get back to work. And while on vacation next week as well! Only 2 pounds from my holiday goal!

:carrot:
