Okay you guys...This is a question I have had for awhile but I have been hoping someone else would post about it first...

Have any of you noticed that as you lose weight that your body odor intensifies? I usually shower at night (works out better for me), and then apply deo at night and again in the morning, only to find that it has worn off by the time I get off work. What gives? Idunno maybe its hormones? I have 3 kinds of deo that I alternate between using because I know that sometimes you need to switch up on them, kinda like hair shampoo.

Any thoughts?

Weird, but true for me too. I don't have a clue why.

Hormones must affect B.O., because after I became pregnant, I had to go through over 5 types of deodorant to find one that worked. After I started LAWL, hubby said my breath and b.o. were...umm..unpleasant. I know that some foods (garlic, peanut butter) seep out of your pores when you sweat. Perhaps we are just eating foods that are loved ones aren't used to smelling (like how Europeans say we smell like spoiled milk because Americans supposedly dirnk way more dairy than Europeans). Either that or or body creates something during the release of fat from fat cells that has a powerful stank. You are not alone.

BTW, Lady Mitchum says it is strong enough to skip a day. I have, and it is.

Mary - I have never tried Lady Mitchum but my DBGF swears by it. I'm there! Normally I use Lady Speed Stick, Degree, or Secret which never used to work for me but I find that now it works better than either of the other 2.

speed stick is too slow for me.
degree can't take the heat
secret tells on me.

They quit making my brand (or at least I can't find it) which is arrid total. Lady Mitchum was the one deodorant left at walmart that I hadn't tried. It does work.

Have you guys checked your ketones? You have to think that our plans are pretty low in carbs and maybe you are in ketosis (think South Beach diet). Just a thought.
