Hi. Can someone please tell me if we can eat beans - black beans, pintos, chickpeas etc? If so how much is a serving? I am on gold but do not see it listed.

Thanks

i thought that beans were a protein, but then it also looks like they are a fat.

the purple plan says Vegetarian Protein
Beans, bagged, any type, cooked (2 Cups)

so it looks like some beans are, but now i wonder about Green beans? veggie or protein

Hey Monica, they are listed under Vegetarian proteins - on gold we can have 1 cup as 1 protein.

Dawn, I thnk green beans are a definately a veg! At least I use them that way.

PS: Green beans are a veggie. They are a string bean. ;-)

Mash up pintos with some garlic powder, lite salt...you have really good refried beans. Youc an buy the fat free variety from the store if you aren't too worried about the sodium. It's a nice break from meat, meat, meat.

Wrigley - where did you see that beans could be a fat? Maybe I'm getting more blind?
