Hi,
So here it goes - I've got myself free slow cooker :carrot: ... On the promotion. I guess it is 6 quarts (not that I know what quart is, I live in Canada).
So I read thru small booklet and today started chicken breasts in canned soup with spices - I will have a look how it works out. However, most of other recipes in the book did not appeal to me...
Any great suggestions - I do not eat beef, my family mostly is turkey/chicken kind. We eat rice occasionally... Hubby and I love veggies...

Thanks,
Sandy.

I've got my slow cooker going right now with a cranberry orange turkey breast that's super super easy. Take 1/2 cup of orange marmalade and mix with a can of whole cranberrys pour half of the mixture over the turkey. Cook on low for 7 hours, or high for 4 hours, when there is only one hour left pour the rest of the mixture in the crock pot and finish cooking.

Forgot to mention I got that recipe and tons of others from a book called Fix it and Forget it lightly by Phyllis Pellman Good. It's all healthy and low fat slow cooker recipes. Included with each recipe is all the nutritional information per serving.

Slow cookers are also called crockpots (though they might be subtly different, they're the same thing as far as I can tell), and the hugest collection of recipes online I have ever seen is at Southern Cooking @ About.com (http://southernfood.about.com/library/crock/blcpidx.htm). They break them out by main ingredient, number of ingredients, type of food, etc. Over 1400 recipes!
