Good Morning :sunny:
Morning Leenie
Roast is in the crockpot, coffee is drunk, and its nice and warm in the house :D I took your advice Brenda, and warmed up the house before I got on the scale!! Im down 10lbs my first week! :carrot: Feels good :) Makes fighting the fat lady in my head a bit easier.
I wanted to make a comment about one of the supplements Ive been taking. Maybe its just me, but Im truly impressed!! Ive been taking Chaste Tree, and my pms, is almost nonexistant! Its there, I know its coming, but its not a "put up with it" thing....know what I mean?!
Dh is out on a job site again today, so Im fending for myself today. More plastic wrapping of windows  then a walk, hopefully before it starts to rain. Christmas wrapping, or at least sorting...thats about it around here.
Have a great day ladies.

Good morning, Leenie and Robin. I have been having a bit of a carb-fest since my knee operation and the scale showed it when I braved it this morning. I cannot afford bread at every meal, even if it IS whole wheat! So I'll be doing a lower carb plan for the next while but watching sat and trans fats. My ticker is no longer a lie! :(

Good morning, chickies!
I've decided not to weigh for a while. Since I've been walking so much I'm afraid that the scale showing a gain (even if it's just muscle) would depress me. I had a lot of people at work say something about my weight (or lack thereof) for the first time, so that felt really good.
It's gonna be a crazy day, I hope you all do good! Drink drink drink!

Yep, I'm drinking, drinking, drinking. I gained 3 pounds, but since TOM is visiting, I'm not going to get too upset. I admit I was disappointed this morning, but it's actually a lot less than I usually gain.
I stupidly skipped breakfast this morning, first time since I started Atkins, but I was really in a hurry. Boy do I feel it! I was starving by noon, but had only brought a moderate lunch with me, and now I'm hungry again (stomach growling hungry). I think I need to get some of those Atkins snack bars or something to keep in my desk drawer for emergencies. I'm SO glad I baked a chicken last night so there's left overs for me to raid when I get home instead of trying to cook a whole meal!
Robin, you're down 10 pounds!!! OMG! GOOOOOOOOO GIRL!!!!
Leenie, thanks for the turkeys, they're so cute :)

Hi everyone, got room for 1 more?? My name is Stacie & I'm a carb-a-holic :o . I actually reached my goal weight just over 2 years ago (doing Atkins) & maintained for about a year after that. Then things just happened. My ex & I seperated, my eldest (now 6) started school, my youngest (now 4) was diagnosed with Autism - so between running around for appt's, school, therapy and working full time - I didn't have time for ME anymore :stress: . The only program that has ever worked for me was Atkins so I'm back at it as of yesterday. I lost 65 lbs the 1st time, so hoping it will work just as well this time 'round :crossed:.
Looking forward to getting to know you all better.

What a hellacious year you've been through! Just stick with us and we'll help each other get to our goals! Did you see the Christmas goals thread? It's an awesome way to stay motivated (for me anyway!) I've got two kiddos myself (11 & 3), and don't they grow so fast!! It's awesome meeting you and welcome aboard!

Where is everyone??? Brenda, everything ok?
Still op, and doing good. Food cravings are pretty much all gone now. Ive made of point of experimenting with recipes. I get so bored eating the same thing all the time. I made a quiche the other day, and it is awesome!! Next one will be with other add ins, just to mix things up.
Not much else happening around here.....how 'bout out there?

Hi & thanks for the welcome! I saw the challenge thread, but I'm not able to post everyday.
Lacey - you're not kidding, they grow way too fast for me!
Robin, glad to hear the cravings are gone. Experimenting with receipes is fun - I found all sorts of things I loved last time that I wouldn't have tried if I hadn't gotten sick of eating tuna & eggs every day .
I'm on day 3 of induction and I'm not having too terrible a time with cravings, but I am already really sick of water. Oh well - things could be worse!

Welcome Stacie, you'll love it here, everyone is so nice and supportive! I'm a Stacy to, but a y instead of an ie. You're in Canada? Brrrrrrrrr! Guess I can't complain about the cold and snow flurries today, huh? hehehe
I"m staying on plan, and I weighed in today. I am afraid of becomming scale obsessed, so I really planned to weigh only once a week, on Monday morning, and accept whatever it said till the next week. Well... it was a good plan, but... I couldn't stand it so I weighed in today. I lost 3 more pounds, so I'm at an even 20 now - Yeah Me!! I can't wait to change my siggy line - it's funny what motivates us, huh?
I've been experimenting with recipes to. This WOE is so new, I have to develop all new stuff or die of boredom (kiss of death for me). I mixed cream cheese, gorgonzola, marscapone, roasted garlic and a little pepper and spread it on celery. O man was it good, I ate a ton of it! I think I'll use that mixture to make ham pinwheels for upcoming Christmas get-togethers. I'd like to add roasted red bell pepper and asparagus, but at 3 carbs per oz. I'm not sure about using the peppers. I'm so carb stingy!
I can't wait for the Biggest Looser tonight, does anyone else watch? I never thought I'd get hooked on a reality show, or any TV show actually, but I am. Wonder who's going home tonight? I'm rooting for Susie to go all the way, but I think that Seth is going to win it. Guess we'll know next week for sure. :)
Hope y'all have a nice warm evening,

O my, I have a loooooooooong way to go Robin. I need to loose 80 more pounds to be in a "normal" weight range. Hope you dont mind yet another. I am semi new I have been doing Atkins since This Monday. Have done it to a T so I am excited to weigh in Sunday! I have 24 lbs to lose. I want to weigh 120 again like I used to. I posted a Newbi earlier this week and got wonderful advice! Well, it is cold here in NY. Getting ready for work now. Have a wonderful day!

Hey Robin - I used to work with a gal from N. Ont....Red Lake I think it was? It's been a LONG time since I worked with her LOL. Anyhew, I remember she brought in pictures & wow - what a beautiful area! I'm originally from MB, but moved to AB in '94 & my heart is definitely Albertan now. I love it here.
Hey Tenn - I should be able to remember your name eh :). I'll probably jinx it, but we've been having amazingly warm weather lately, 10-14C (50-57F?) which is quite unusual for the end of Nov. I'm not complaining tho, I hate the cold! WTG losing 3 lbs :carrot: . I'm like you - once I see that # changing (& down of course  ) I'm way more motivated!! My kids very rarely let me watch anything besides Treehouse (Pre-school TV) so I've never seen TBL. I tell ya tho, I become savage if they dare try to turn off the Amazing Race :D . That's the 1 show I'm totally addicted to.
Hi Tama - good luck with your weigh in & have a good day at work.
As for me...I think I'm down 2 lbs so far. Hard to say for sure as my kids broke the cover on my scale & I think there might be a piece of the plastic inside as I don't get the same weight each time. More often than not...it looks like 194...but a couple times it was between 197 & 203. Guess it's time for a new scale. Might actually treat myself to a digital one this time. Trying to see those little lines is next to impossible. I'm not getting any older, so they must be getting smaller

Hi Tama, and :welcome3: there is always room for one one more :)
Tenn~ I love your new avatar, your a very pretty lady!! You know something, when I first started out, I didnt have a scale. (I broke it) I realized I had so much to loose, it scared me. So I set out to make my clothes too big, and since I had sizes in my closet from 16-5x, I knew I had something to wear along the way. It wasnt until I reached about 215 that I bought a scale. Ironically enough, I need the scale to make sure Im loosing now, I cant trust myself to the clothes thing anymore. You'll get there Stacy, one day at a time :)
Good eating day yesterday, but my innerfatlady :sumo: was a real *****. I struggled most of the afternoon and evening. Well, I got thru it, and Im happy for it this morning. I was knitting most of the evening....and kept saying to myself. "just one more row, and I'll see......just one more row, and I'll see" Bedtime finally came, and off I went!! Successful :D
Not alot planned for today, a meeting with one of our best customers, and a trip to the supply shop. Of course coffee

sorry I'm just jumping in here, it's been crazy, dh has been off and is working tomorrow which really sucks.
If I haven't lost any weight in a week I think I'm going to the doctor. Does that sound stupid? I'm just weirded out about my whacko periods and even though I've been walking 3 miles for about a month now I haven't lost a pound the whole time. And staying under 20 basically healthy carbs a day, what else could it be? Perhaps I have become a neurotic but besides throw in the towel for trying so hard and losing nothing, I don't know what else my options are.
anyway, sorry to not address everyone and only talk about myself but my kids are screaming and I just wondered if this has happened to anyone else? I weighed myself today and it said 208 which would mean that since I've been exercising (approx. 1 month) I have gained four pounds. At what point does the 'muscle turning into fat' thing stop and when do you start losing again?
ok, sorry
RobinW
11-23-2005, 06:30 PM
Lacey.....you havent lost any weight, but have you been 100% on plan? On atkins it makes a difference. If your not following it 100% your not going to lose weight.
Or...
are you eating enough? getting in between 1000 & 1400 calories (at least)? If your not eating enough, along with the exercise, your body may be revolting and hanging on to everything.
Do you track your food intake? You may be eating hidden carbs you dont know are there?
Another thought....you've lost almost 50lbs so far. Your body may be taking a break. Especially with the exercise. Exercise will cause you gain just a bit, as muscle holds water.
Thats about all I can think of at the moment. :)
Tennessee

You are WAY more patient than I am, I'd be a weeping screaming mess if I'd been good for a whole month and not lost anything! How are your clothes fitting?
I guess it wouldn't hurt to have the doctor give ya a once over, just to make sure that your thyroid, etc. are OK. Have her run a hormone panel to, there may be something there that needs to be addressed if you're "of a certain age" like I am ;) Do you use fitday? How are you stacking up on the B vitamins? Using any sugar alcohols? How much Splenda per day? How much cheese? I'm new to all this, but research I've done tells me these can be culprits.
Hang in there girl, I just know a woosh is coming soon!

That's it Robin - I'm getting taller. I knew there had to be a logical reason ;)
I went through a period where I was exercising my butt off (the 1st time I did LC) & staying totally legal and the numbers on that scale did the same thing...the bloody #'s stopped moving & then they went up. This was quite a shock after losing 4-8 lbs/week since starting Atkins. Then I compared my measurements to the previous ones and that was were the difference was. Thank God for taking those measurements & seeing that it was the muscle causing the weight gain. I couldn't tell the difference in my clothes because I always wore (& do again unfortunately) baggy & too big for me clothes. After taking the measurements, I went to the closet & took out pants I hadn't worn for about 8 or 10 years & wouldn't you know they fit. I also noticed the "baby bulge" in my stomach was gone (I hadn't noticed because I avoided mirrors till that point). One thing I also noticed shortly after that while having a bath (I normally took showers) was that I fit in the tub...my tummy was actually covered with the water. Anyway, didn't mean to ramble on, but you have done so well so far that I wonder if you might be going thru something similar. Of course a checkup never hurts either :) .

Thanks girls, I AM still hanging in there and not giving up.
I have been staying 100% faithful to the diet, I don't have any crap snacks and only drink water. In 4 months I have only cheated twice, once a beer and once a frappucino.
My clothes have been fitting the same, I do track everything I eat and if anything then my problem is not eating enough. I've just been REALLY busy and eating has been the last thing on my mind.
I think I'll hold off on going to the doctor, I'm a nurse at the local clinic and I can't stand going to the doctor (aka my boss) unless I'm just as sick as a dog LOL
I can't wait to hear how everyone did today! Did ya get any exercise in?? Christmas is right around the corner, I'm debating wether to go to the early walmart sales or not...decisions, decisions!

Good Morning :twirly:
Well I was up at 4 this morning, feeling alot better after yesterday's tuna episode! :p This is the first time Ive actually gotten up and braved the crowds. There was actually something for me to go and get!! Mom got a new leather jacket for xmas for only $48.88! So of course that was all I really wanted, but thought, hey, Im out, and there is no way I could go home and go back to sleep. So I continued to shop around a bit. Picked up a few things. But let me tell you.......KNOW your prices!!!! At the disney store, I picked up a long sleeved t-shirt for my daughter about 2 weeks ago for $9.50, today they are on sale for 2 for $22 or $12.50 each!! SAME shirt!! That turned me right off, and I was home by 8
Eating yesterday was op, I didnt get any exercise in, but I will today. So far its nice and sunshiney outside. If it keeps up, I'll head out for a walk before I wake everybody.
How did is everyone doing?
Have a great day!

Hi all, and welcome to the new members joining in! This is a great place for support. I'm catching up on personals here. :)
I really flubbed up over Thanksgiving, and the day before was our 25th wedding anniversary. So although I started off with good intentions...LOL And now there are so many left overs here. I planned on eating carbs throughout this weekend and jumping back on Monday, but I gained 5 pounds already and have to stop that right now, or it will keep going to about a 13 pound gain.
This morning, I explained to my hubby how important is to me to start back on Atkins' today and not finish up all this food even if it has to be thrown out, and he offered to do anything for me to help me...shop, food prep, cook, he kept saying anything at all. I gave a big thank you and added I'd only need help with the clean up of pots and pans (that's hard due to back problems) and most importantly, I'd need to talk about the diet and menu planning and how I am doing with it. He thought that was fine. No wonder I've kept him for 25 years. j/k lol Really though, he's very supportive of me with this WOE and likes it for himself as well. He just doesn't need it as much as I do, yet he's so understanding. ~Sonny

Stacie - I can't wait to fit in the tub better! I like to take baths occationally, and I fit OK, but would be nice to have some splashing room. Now I have something else to look forward to :)
awwww Sonny, he sounds like such a sweetie! don't suppose you have another one like him laying around waiting for the perfect woman do ya? LOL
What cha huntin' for Brenda? Birds? Deer? I don't hunt so I'm not familiar with the seasons, but if you hunt it, I'll eat it hehehe. Hey, I fish, wanna trade some trout, cats or crappy for some venison??
I actually did the black Friday thing today. I couldn't believe I dragged my sorry butt out of bed at 4:15 in the morning to go shopping. I am NOT a shopper, even at a reasonable hour of the day. The running joke in our family is that my sister got my shopping gene in addition to her own! That said, I wanted an electric blanket, and have for a couple of years now. I hate getting into a cold bed in the winter, and I'm too cheap to keep the thermostadt up at night. Electric blankets run well over a hundred dollars for my size, and again... too cheap! Well, Proffitt's had them on door buster special for $50.00 any size, woooo hoooo, it was worth rollin' out the door to be there by 5:00am. I got my blanket and started to poke around, but decided just to go home instead. I didn't know what to do when I got home so I watched the news and ate some eggs, then went back to bed a couple hours later for a nap. Woke up at 11:00, and now I'm all disoriented. It's easy to stay on plan when you sleep 1/2 the day though - LOL.
Guess I better get the dishes washed up and vacuum, maybe clean the bathroom to. Why is it that as many times as I clean the bathroom it always seems like it needs cleaned again?
Have a great day everyone!

Robin: I know what you mean about the prices! I spent most of last evening researching prices for the things that were on 'sale' at walmart. The doorbuster sales were all pretty good though :) That's too funny that the disney store did that. I bet they sold tons by advertising it as a 'big sale'
I got up super early too (4:30) but didn't actually GET to walmart until 9:00 because I waited for my 3 year old to go back to sleep before calling my mom to come babysit :) I wanted to get the tv/dvd combo for her for Christmas and I BARELY got there in time because there were only three left!! I also picked up a lot of the fleece pants/shorts/shirt sleep sets for $10 and of course I had to 'test' a pair out right when I got home. Wish I would've got more, they are super yummy soft!!
It was very eery because walmart was not packed at ALL. Guess I missed the Christmas rush!:carrot:

Tenn - I can't wait to fit again. I shower like 99.9% of the time, but every now & then I like to sit in a hot HOT bath with a book. Unfortunately, when 1/2 of you is above water in the cool air, it's just not the same ;). I have the same problem in my house too. Hi bnbsmommy, Just going by what I have read in the Atkins book, when I have had this problem, it said to decrease your carbs down from your 20 to 15, then see how that goes for a while, and then increase or decrease a couple carbs at a time from there.

Fleece pants sets for $10.00? In our size? I may have to go look (like I need more clothes!)
It's a beautiful, clear, cold morning here in E. Tennessee. It was 22* last night brrrrrrrrrrr, so glad I didn't have to get up and go to work this morning. I LOVE my new electric blanket! I didn't sleep with it on all night, but turned it on to warm up the bed before I got in it - ahhhhh.
Ya know, I had all these plans for the weekend, rake leaves, get the house fluffed and put up some holiday decorations, clean the gutters at the front of the house and get my outside lights up, etc. I did none of it. I did get some laundry done so I have clothes for next week and got the kitchen and bathroom clean, but that's it. I'm such a slug, all I wanna do is sit on the couch under an afgan crochet slippers and watch mindless daytime TV!
I'm going to a friends house today for another "Thanksgiving". It's an annual tradition for us, we go wherever we need to for the actual holiday, then get together on the weekend, relax and make dinner together. That way, we have leftovers :) She's been supportive of my being on Atkins, and we talked menus last week, so it should be really nice. She's making a surprise yellow squash dish - mmmm - I'll post the recipe if it's good.

It's a super easy crochet pattern Robin, just 32 rows, and once you make the first one you'll be able to whip 'em out in no time. I like this particular pattern because it's easy, and because it has ribbing at the top to keep your ankles warm. I have the pattern in MS-Word format, but I don't see a way to add an attachment through the fourm. I'll happy to e-mail it to you if want to PM me an e-mail addy to send it to, same goes for any of you guys that might be interested :)
The pattern takes 3.5 oz worsted weight yarn, an H hook, and a sewing needle to stitch up the back.

well, since all my whining around didn't take the weight off, I re-read the atkins book again and took my measurements.
Since November 2nd (when I started walking 3 miles daily) I have lost 3 inches in my waist and 1 inch in my hips. So I guess the scales right now don't matter much because I'm losing SOMETHING, right?
I've been thinking about doing the atkins fat fast for 5 days but am still debating it in my mind.
Have a ton of things to do today, put the tree up yesterday and the girls and I are decorating it today. My 3 year old is LOVING it all this year, it's so sweet to watch her talk about all of it :)

I woke up to snow this morning & "pretty" wasn't the word I used to describe it  . Once winters set in here they are too bloody long & cold. I'm so not a winter person at all! Brrrrrrrrrr

Lacey - :bravo: WTG -that's AWESOME!!!! :carrot: :cp:. I think you're doing great & needn't bother with the fat flush, especially now that you know you are making progress - but of course that's JMO. Kudos to you if you go ahead with it tho. It's been a while since I read Dr. A's book (just pulled it out again the other day to re-read), but I recall reading about that flush & thinking induction is a piece of cake compared to that  .
Putting off setting up our tree (it's that whole clutter thing & I have a tiny living room), but it is great to watch the kids get so excited about it - they make it more magical for me. Otherwise, I find it burdensome, especially when putting on the lights :dizzy:. I'm so buying a pre-lit tree next year .

awwww Sonny, he sounds like such a sweetie! don't suppose you have another one like him laying around waiting for the perfect woman do ya? LOL
Hi, I hope everyone is having a great day.
Sure, I keep a few like him in the closet; I'll send you one. LOL
Stacie, For sure, he is quite guy. :)
I haven't done much around the house these past few days, and so far this morning, I've just been puttering, but feel more peppy since being on Induction again. I've been working in my cluttered office and even found my lost shoe lace to my walking shoes, so that is one less excuse I have not to jump on the tread mill. I've had a huge weight loss after two days on Induction. I know it's considered only water, but still that's 11 pounds off of me, and I can feel it and see it in my face.
I've never been into shopping for myself unless it's things I really need, or an occasional DVD that I know I'll watch a dozen times. LOL A shopping spree to me is going to the store to stock up on food and to Walmart for everyday things like papaer towels, shampoo and laundry soap. LOL However last week, I went to Michael's craft store and sort of went nuts. I spent whopping $65.00 on Christmas bows for our fence wreaths (hope the neighbor enjoys! lol), 6 skeins of real nice yarns and a knifty Knitter--It's four different sized circles with pegs and knits a circle. It reminds me of what we made when we were kids out of a thread spool and small nails. We called them "cat tail makers'' Although I can knit, it's only one stitch and square or rectangle. LOL So when I get hungry or stressed and want to head for food, I'll try to pick up this knifty knitter instead. If it works, everyone will be getting hats and scarves for Christmas. :)

Sorry, I have no smilie capabilities here, even after doing what admin said to do to get them back. I'll keep trying though and use the one I know how to type, which is. :) LOL
Stacie, I've never lived where I've had to shovel snow, but already know I'm with you would would hate it. :)
Robin, I get so turned off when stores think they are fooling shoppers and raise the price for a sale.
Brenda, Good luck getting back OP. I know you can do it! :)
Lacey, That's fantastic you've lost the inches. You've reminded me to measure today.
I'll check in again later...

I had to do the control/F5 thing as mine had stopped working as well, but even tho mine will work now, it takes forever for the smilie window to open.
I think it's funny the way stores think we are not smart enough to figure out their little tricks. Our grocery stores have 15% off the 1st Tuesday of every month and I avoid that day for the very reason that everything seems to go up in price that day?!! For ex. hot oatmeal (for the kids I swear LOL) just about every day of the month is $2.50. 15% Tuesdays is $3.49 or $2.97 with the discount. What kind of flippin' savings is that??? Thanks, but I'll stick to buying it on regular days when it's $2.50 :p .
I really need to measure myself too. I really need to get outside & shovel - it's only been about 4 hours since I said I was going to do it . Funny how cleaning the toilet didn't seem as bad when the alternative was shovelling ;) :D.

There, I tried the ctrl/f5 again, only this time I was in the "submit reply" mode, and I could see it resetting on my bar. :D It's all fixed now. :carrot:
That's some 15% savings on Tuesdays. :dizzy:
I went to a small pet store last week and went to one check out. As she rang up my order, she casually scanned in one of five small items that were already sitting off to the side on the counter onto my tag. I saw them there when I walked up, so how could she not have known they were there after checking there for a while. I hate to accuse, but it appeard to be deliberate for an extra sale at my expense. I nicely told her that wasn't mine. She didn't blink or say anything and removed it from my tag and put it back on the side where she got it. Perhaps I looked like an easy pushover as I bought the kitty reindeer antler head piece for my dog.

Hi There, I hope there is room for one more. I've been doing low carb for a little over two weeks now, and have been doing pretty good ( except for Thanksgiving). I'm just hoping to connect with others to help keep me motivated and on track.:)

 LMAO  Perhaps, but only if you bought the red nose & itty bitty sleigh to go with it?!! :D
Glad you got your smilies workin' again. Can't believe the clerk tried that. Wonder how many times she's gotten away with it?!
Hi Mindy & welcome aboard. :) Look forward to getting to know ya a bit better!
I did it - I finally got off my butt and shovelled. I can't wait 'till I win the lottery so I can become a snowbird & get out of here during the winters. Hmmm, guess I should probably buy a ticket once in a while then eh? ;)

Hey everyone!
I am new to this forum and I was referred to the weekly chat by RobinW.
I posted my bio on the bio thread and my pics on the progress thread. I am 22 and I've been doing Atkins since 08/15/05.
This is my second time doing Atkins The first time I did it, I was still living at home and relying on what my parents cooked for meals and I was working at Walgreens so I had a lot of temptations. I relied way too much on the Atkins bars and low-carb chocolates and all it did was impede the weight loss and keep me in the snacking habit. That was a couple years ago and I think I lost maybe 5 lbs in over a month.
I guess I just reached a point where my weight was so bad that I had to do something and gastric bypass was where I was going, but the insurance company said that I had to fulfill a bunch of requirements, one of those being a 6-month physician followed diet. I chose to give Atkins another shot, not really expecting any results just like the first time, but this time something's different. My starting weight on 08/15/05 was 356lbs and today I weighted in at 295lbs! Hopefully things keep going this way and I don't have to give a second thought to the surgery.
I'm starting Tae Boe (hopefully getting the boot camp version for Christmas) and "quick fix arms and legs." My other activity is walking my puppy.
I've seen a lot of inspirations on here and I hope through my progress I will inspire and motivate my sister so that she can have more confidence in herself and be healthier.
Good luck to everyone!

Stacie~ you're too funny  Ive thought about moving south too, but I'll take the snow over the hurricanes!! A couple streets over from me, a guy has a heated driveway!!! So he never has to shovel :lol3: How cool is that!
You know how you think your done all your shopping, and you go out and see a really good deal??? Then pick it up and add it to the pile of stuff you've already bought? I did that! It turned out to be a better buy than I thought when I got it to the checkout. The clerk imput the number 2x, it was suppose to be 6.99, but kept coming up at 2.48!! I went back to the rack after to see if there were any more! But there werent :(
Mindy! :welcome3: Good job on your 1st 2 weeks. Keep up the great work. You've found a great spot for support and help.
Sonny~ I hope your going to take pictures of your dog decked out in his new gear
Dh is upstairs at the moment trying to do a recovery on the pc :( Just a note....if your dont know if the disk you are about to install will be compatable with your current windows......DONT install it!!! Thankfully just last week he made a back up of all of our files. So all my pictures are saved. I didnt care about anything else  I have a photo printer, I think its time I put it to a bit more use!

Welcome Liv4rok :wel3fc: It's nice to have you here. This isn't my first time around either. I also became side tracked with low carb chocolate, ice cream and breads, and soon I wasn't counting carbs at all. It sounds like you're doing great. :)

Robin, I've seen schools with those heated drive & walkways - they are awesome! They should be part of the building code in wintery places :). Do they have hurricanes in Vegas? Maybe I can make my millions there! :lucky: Thank goodness your pics were saved. I know nothing about computers & I'd go nuts if something happened to this one??
Hiya Liv & welcome aboard :carrot: . This is my 2nd time with Atkins as well. I was successful on my first go-'round 2 years ago, but too many things happened in my life last year preventing me from maintaining my loss. I just started doing BB TaeBo Instructional video over the weekend. I did his other tapes years ago, but never did the instuctional one, so I always looked like I was flailing around like a chicken with it's head cut off. Hoping this helps me get the technique down before I move on. Still don't think I could ever kick as high as some of them do, without breaking my leg anyway .
Sonny - definitely...we need to see pictures!
Hope everyone has an awesome & OP day!

What normal person doesn't look like a flailing chicken doing Tae Bo?! I have the "wiggly elbow" syndrome. My dad used to be a kickboxer so I don't dare do Tae Bo with him around or I will have my own Billy Blanks dictator. "Lock those elbows, tuck the tummy in, stop your punch don't just let it hang..."
Again...what normal person can kick that high!? They are all robots on those videos...except for maybe the "live" one, but most of them have probably done it for a long time. Or maybe we're just the only inept ones who don't look perfect doing it ;) haha
