I stayed the same this week. I was good for just half of the week. So.. it doesn't surprise me. :dizzy:

I'm down a pound this week. :)

Sooo close to 50#s, I can feel it! I hope to get there by my 1 year anniversary which is 12/4!

Have a great week everyone!

11-14-2005, 09:17 AM
I'm starting off the week at 304 pounds which is three pounds less than last week.

11-14-2005, 09:21 AM
Way to go Beth and Teahoney!!
what was the one thing you did this past week that you think helped the most?

11-14-2005, 09:33 AM
To tell you the truth Charbar, I haven't the fainitest idea. It wasn't until this weekend that I decided to get really serious about this. So I wasn't doing anything in particular that I can think of.

Good morning gals!

I've re-set my ticker--it appears that my extra weight was more than just water ....BUT....I am starting again, with a new resolve to get healthy and reach my goals. I AM NOT GIVING UP!!

11-14-2005, 09:48 AM
I will start over until I get it right or until I am dead! (which may nt be too long if I don't get my act together soon!)

329 this morning. That is back to my highest. :(

I am back to business today.

11-14-2005, 12:06 PM
I lost 2lbs this week. Yeah .....Drank all my water and stayed on plan. Had one off day, but hey at least it was only one.

11-14-2005, 01:01 PM
Lost 2.4 lbs this week. I'm excited cause I didn't really feel like I did a lot to warrant it. Well, I've been sick all week & most of the weekend, so that could be it. Anywho.. I'm not complaining!!!

11-14-2005, 01:56 PM
I'm up 2.5 lbs. I'm surprised (let's just say I took the weekend off) but that'll teach me! All smiles. Back on track this week and bound and determined to do better. My mantra for the week: Water is good, water is your friend. I see such a big difference in the weeks where I drink plenty of water and the one's (like this one) where I get almost none. Congratulations on your losses and maintaining. To those with me in the gain category, let's get our mind's right once again!

11-15-2005, 11:21 PM
Hey everyone.

Congrats as always for keeping up the battle! You're all doing great and should be proud of yourselves.

As for me, I made it to my first goal, which was 2 weeks. Seems like a small goal, I know but I've started and stopped in less than 10 days at least 5 times this year so that was goal #1. From here on I'm hoping for the 2 lbs/week I lost last time around. I started TOM yesterday so I'm not weighing in officially this week because I know that thinking too much about the 1.5 lbs it says I gained is pointless as it will all be gone next week anyway.

Keep up the great work everyone!

11-16-2005, 06:33 AM
I am down 3 pounds this week. The difference this week for me has been the journaling and a determination to get to a new group of numbers. DH
even noticed and made a few comments. I am into the 240's now and have less then a 100 pounds to lose. Yipee!!

11-16-2005, 07:11 AM
Well, everyone here has the right attitude, regardless of if there was a loss or not :bravo:

As for me, I ate extremely well 6 out of 7 days and even on that one day, I stayed with my calorie/water/exercise limits but it looks like I have GAINED! I weighed myself at work today and I showed a 1/4 pound loss and then at the gym tonight, I was 2 pounds up!

It's either water weight or muscle that has caused me to not lose this week; either way I am disappointed that I most likely won't show a loss at my weigh in this morning and will instead show a gain :( I KNOW that the habit changes I have made are what counts, and the fact that I feel so much better since I've been taking better care of myself, but I really wanted to show a loss!

11-16-2005, 09:00 AM
wholy bugs! I got on the scale on monday, and had lost 2 lbs, but i knew that it hadnt even been a week. so i figured it had been a week today that i had been here and trying so i would step on the scale this am and just see ( not planning on seening any change.)

im down to 215

11-16-2005, 09:45 AM
I just started being serious Monday, so I'm still at my starting weight 240. I don't know if I'll be weighing myself regularly, but I know that I will be measuring myself!! :) So if I don't say how many pounds I lost, I'll definately share the inches!

11-16-2005, 09:46 AM
Good job on the losses everyone!!

Yogini - your body is a complicated thing. Just stick with it! Next week or the week after, the loss will show, it just takes time!

11-16-2005, 10:58 AM
Starting this again at 280. This is the lowest weight Ive been in 8 years.

11-16-2005, 12:08 PM
Congratulations on an 80lb loss Victoria! What an accomplishment!

11-16-2005, 05:15 PM
We have a new decade! Down to 178 this morning :carrot:

11-16-2005, 11:04 PM
Way to go YP1. Good loses everyone. I'll be back Friday to post mine.

11-18-2005, 10:19 AM
Great losses this week.

Yogini -- a night weight might be very different than a morning weight. Try again in a morning. Sandi, you keep going. It is going to click! It is it is! I am so impressed with your resolve and determination. WOW Victoria. Congrats on 80 lbs. YP1 -- you are incredible. I lvoe those new decades too.

I finally broke through my plateau this week and am down 3 lbs. and at my second mini-goal!!!!

11-18-2005, 01:10 PM
Lost another 2 lbs this week. I am now 10 lbs away from my goal of 245. I have decided to go to 230 lbs but it will still be a big deal for me to get to my original goal of 245. I was doing some BMI calculations and it said at 230 I will be 29.5 body fat. That is in the over weight range and no longer obese range. With the extra skin I just don't see getting much lower than that.

11-18-2005, 04:22 PM
I have lost 2.5 pounds bringing me to 301.5. Woohoo!! The ticker doesn't do half pounds so it shows a loss of six pounds but it's really 5.5.

11-18-2005, 09:09 PM
Howie, just curious. Are you considering getting the skin removed surgically? Congrats on losses to you and teahoney.

11-18-2005, 10:29 PM
No probably not. If offered the money to do it I might, but then I would probably think of so many other things I could spend that money on. LOL It would be nice to have it done but I really don't know if I would take the risk and the pain.

11-19-2005, 12:52 AM
Howie - I'm not too sure how the American health stuff works, but I know here in Canada you can get the extra skin taken off for free, I believe here the family doctor would say that it's causing problems... ie rashs. And often your family doctor will send you to the best... it could be very different in the USA though. Just thought I'd pass that along to you :)

11-19-2005, 01:10 AM
Yes my doctor said she could talk to the health insurance and go that route. However I don't have problems from the skin and just don't really want to go through all that.

Thanks for the info though.

11-19-2005, 04:26 AM
Heya, everyone. I'm late posting, as usual! Lost 2 pounds this week, for a total of 75 so far. I'm a happy camper. :)

11-19-2005, 10:49 AM
I gained.

.6 of a lb. I started working out this week. I am just wondering if the initial gain is due to my body changing a little bit. I really didn't do bad this week so I'm not upset. I did a great workout last night I did 10 mins on elliptical, 5 miles on the bike, 7 mins on the arc trainer and upper body (push and pull) with the machines- 3 reps of 10 on each.
I was planning on skipping today but I want to go and do some cardio again. I will not be doing lower body on the machines because I always hurt my knee and quit. I figure with the cardio I am working my legs. I can definetly feel the pain.

11-19-2005, 06:44 PM
.6 is nothing to worry about, hang on in there and it will start heading down soon enough.

11-19-2005, 07:55 PM
I think there is a bit of a fluid shift when you start working out that causes you to gain weight for the first few days. Drink a lot of water and give it some time.
