Does anyone know of a website where you can plug in the ingredients in a recipe and it can calculate the calories per serving? I have a bunch of cookbooks with recipes but they don't provide nutrition information, so it's kind of tedious trying to figure it all out myself.
Hey listen cracked egg,
That was the best question I have read in a while. I would love to find such a site. It takes me forever to calculate the calories in a recipe and figure it per serving. One of my gripes is they never say how much is a serving...1/2 cup...1 cup....1/3 cup...2/3 cup. I will be checking back to see if anyone had such a site to share. Other wise all you can do is sit with your dandy calculator and a calorie counting booka and a big ream of paper and figure it out for yourself, what a hassle.
Have you considered software that you can install on your own computer? Mastercook and Living Cookbook are two that come to mind. I've used Mastercook for many years and love it. Both are fairly inexpensive.
This is what I do... I take my fitday.com account, go ahead a day, input all the ingredients, take the total calories, proteins, carbs, fats... Then make a Custom Food with it and divide it into servings... I hope this makes sense?!
HI there.. I am pretty new.. but.. I use a program called dietpower and you can get a free 2 week trial online, but it has a recipe maker in it, you tell it the food, and how many servings and it will give you a total..
