Hi there!
I used to post on here as Marinetubamom, but I drifted off the beach and wandered off into the land of calories and chocolate. Approaching my 40th birthday, I decided to give WW a try. It worked at first, but I quickly plateau'd and then lost interest. Although I had a great support group over there, I didn't feel right posting since I had left the program entirely.
Recently, my husband told me that he wished I would consider going back to the Beach. He said my moods were always so much better and I seemed happier and healthier. Soooo, here I am.
I have given this some serious thought and decided that I do miss lounging on the Beach with ya'll, and I still do eat a lot of the recipes, etc that I learned here. I'm going to do my best to stay committed to the program, but I might need a kick in the pants every now and again. And I know there are some ladies here who could do it, too!
Guess I'll re-introduce myself!
My name is Aileen and I live in North Carolina - right outside Charlotte. I just turned 40 in October, and it was probably my best birthday ever. I am happily married to Darrell, and am the proud mom of three of the best kids ever. John is 19 and a US Marine; Adam is 18 and graduating this year (Look out, Western Carolina! He's on his way soon!); Olivia is almost 12 and in 6th grade this year.
I am looking forward to getting to know all of you (again) and cheering you on while you become big losers!
Laurie, Ruth, is my towel still available?
Hugs, ya'll!
Aileen
