Talking Daily Nsv Thread - Monday Oct 24

Okay - let's pump up our successes - I want all you marvellous chickies to write down each and every day all the WONDERFUL non scale victories you are enjoying. Not only will this encourage you to keep going, but it will also inspire and motivate others to stay on the right path!

So far today:

I avoided the BIG BOX of doughnuts sitting a few feet away from me at the common printer area
At our divisional meeting this morning I avoided the EXTRA LARGE chewy chocolate chip and madacamia & white chocolate and double chocolate chunk cookies being passed around in a basket!
I had my couscous salad lunch and was still hungry and wanted to chew - I was going to go down to the food court to get some won ton soup - but instead I stayed put, and popped a big bag of popcorn, and ate half of it with some more water to wash it down
...and I have just completed my 2nd water bottle bringing today's total so far to 40 ounces!

So what successes do you want to share?

Wow Froufie! You're having a great day!

I went to Krispy Kreme to pick up some empty buckets (for our Halloween party) and wasn't even tempted to get a doughnut, even though my kids were begging for one.

Frouf and Angela, congrats! You are both having great days!

I'm at the drawing board creating my plan for getting back ON plan. I avoided many, many temptations at the ballpark yesterday. I'm guarding against my normal day after success pity party. Normally, I want to eat after I pass on really favorite treats. So far, so good!

Congrats to both of you! That is pretty impressive stuff!

It finally turned cold and so I was able to wear my Very Cute Boots with my Life-Changing Jeans (8's) and look totally thin today. Even I was surprised, in spite of the fact that I wore these same jeans last winter and was 5 pounds lighter. I think over the last few months (probably because of the 5 pound gain) I had started imagining that I was bigger than I really am.

Congrats Kathy on getting into your skinny minny jeans - good for you - I bet that made you feel great!

Vickie - I did not get an invite to the pity party so I guess it's off for now?

I made it thru ONE WHOLE DAY without having a major sugar/eating binge - yes I am hungry now but that's okay - I really tried to stay in control despite the many challenges/goodies around me!

YIPPEE!

I think Core removes inches; more than other programs.

Congratulations, Kathy! How you feel about how you look is more important than anything any of us or anyone else could say.

Kathy I think you made a great point about thinking you are bigger than you are. The mind is a powerful thing!
