Question When do you start counting?

My group leader suggested that if dinners are a big deal in your family that we can start counting at say, 4:00 pm and end at 4:00 pm the next day. As long as it is a 24 hour period, it is ok. It works for some people, she says. I am single, but I often visit my bf and his two kids and cook dinner for them. It is a very special time, and I find it is easier for me to plan for the next day knowing where I am instead of saving and going over.

She also said it works really well for people who have a hard time using all their points each day. They get to the end and realize they still have 6 left. Personally, I can't quite figure out how that happens...hehe...

I go from when I get up until I go to bed. Many of my friends do dinner to dinner though.

When I was able to attend meetings, my leader said the same thing. I never did it because I think it would be harder for me. Some people in the group did and they found it to better for them. I think it is just personal preference.

Dinner is a big thing for me and my family. That is our time that we spend together. I just eat light all day and leave myself enough points to beable to enjoy dinner. If we are going out to eat then I will fix the WW Vegetable soup for myself for lunch which is 0 points and I have a light breakfast. Last week I lost 9.6 lbs.

I count breakfast to dinner, wake-up to bed-time every day. I don't see how the other way couldn't work (dinner to dinner), though, because you're counting the same amount of meals.. I guess that it would be good for the people who work overnight shifts, as well, as they often will eat their lunch in the middle of the night.

The way I do it is the easiest way I can do it, therefore, it is the ONLY way I will do it.

lpngfrg, It is more of a 'mind game' because many people find it easier to eat smaller points for breakfast and lunch but dinner really throws them for a loop and it just is easier. It does work. I have several friends who do it that way...they feel more in control that way.
