Well, another week. Only bad part of the weekend was the stupid cake yesterday. And it didn't even TASTE good. BLECH!! I could taste it for an hour afterwards!! But hey, it's better than the total carb-athons I've usually had on the weekends so I'm counting a success :) Today we (DH and I) have to go track a deer he shot last night. He's learning his lesson--don't track them RIGHT AWAY otherwise they get up and run. Hopefully it layed right down so we don't have to track far. So exercise again today

Mindy: Don't worry about the slipup. As long as you've jumped right back to it you should be ok. Might take a couple days to lose the water bloatage but it'll be ok :)
OH!!! Forgot to mention...if you're (or anyone else) the first ones here in the morning feel free to start the weekly thread :)

Opps....posted in the wrong week. I was playing catch up. One thing I didn't mention is I did weigh and measure yesterday. I'm down 9.5 lbs which kind of irked me that I only lost one pound last week, but I'm down 9.5 inches overall....which means I'm still losing weight even if the scales not showing it. Thank god I used to work in a lingerie shop and have my measuring tape still!

Good Morning :rain:
Audrey~ its progress, no matter how you look at it. So great job!!!! Regarding the stationary, I looked at target, and they used to have it, about a yr ago, but the one I go to doesnt have it anymore. Lots of scrapbooking stuff, but thats about it.
Brenda~ I have to tell you how jealous I am!! I miss deer and moose meat so much! Its the only thing I miss about my ex :p :lol3: and the fresh caught fish too! He was good for something I guess  Good going on your weekend!
I did some baking this weekend. Lots of spicey stuff, and molasses type stuff. Not lc but not fat laden either. Its all portioned out, and in the freezer. I can still smell the molasses in the house tho :)
Started a little bit of christmas shopping this weekend too. ToysrUs has their games on sale, buy one get one free. So I picked up battleship and life for my daughter, then hit jc penny and picked up some new shirts for dh. Thats it so far...but Ive had my thinking cap on for family members. It gets harder and harder every year.
Im heading out for a walk this afternoon, then hopefully get some paper work that I have put off for tooooooo long.
Have a great day everyone :goodvibes:

Oh no, Christmas shopping. It's going to be so hard this year. I've bought everything under the sun a child under two could need or want for my oldest and now I can't think of anything for the baby. Plus now that DH is in the service I'm sure his needs are changing from what they used to be.

Hello all! I weighed in and lost again! YIPPEE! I do feel bloated from Miller Lites on Sat night. I am OD'in on Water to day.. I will flush it all out! ;)
I went to my sister in law's last night for her birthday day and it was total agony! They had Chocolate Cake, Cherry Chip Cake and Homemade Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese frosting. Her Mother brought Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream.. but.. I just sniffed it. Can you friggin believe it.. I did not have any! WOW!!!
I have to work harder. My little vacation is in 31 days... I gotta look like a hooker by then.. Going to Las Vegas.. All the pictures of the people there look like they are either hookers or right out of vogue! Gotta Fit In! HE HE HE!
Today is gonna be a good day!

'ello all. the weight loss is slowing down, i'm on my second week I think...not sure. I started adding splenda to my diet but I'm gonna cut back on that....and beef from what i saw in the last thread! I get sooo sick of chicken and shrimp though. BUT....we're going to red lobster tomorrow and I'll have yummy shrimp scampie.... :)
I want to lose some more weight before halloween so I can fit into my high boots....!!! I'm red riding hood .... yay :) I got the cutest red and white tulle for under my skirt.....it's adorable! :)

Good job on the loss Brandy! Keep it up, you will look like a hooker in no time LOL!
Lottie, I think that is going to look too cute! I haven't even got the slightest clue if I'm dressing up yet or not. I don't even have the kids costumes yet.
Well on a down note...I got asked today if I was pregnant. Normally I would just let it roll off my back since this is the third time in three months I've been asked that question, but I've been working so hard, and then to have someone ask me that. Pooey!

Audrey, Oh my gosh, that has happened to me too!! Twice :( Once while at work and this lady said "Oh, I didn't know you were expecting!!" I seriously wanted to die. I know I was much more embarrased than her :o The other time, a girl at a store I frequent asked when I was expecting. It's so humiliating with people standing around listening. I still think i should have lied and made up a date
I weighed on the clinic scales and they say 219, which made me so happy, that would be 31 lbs down. We were looking at scrub catalogs and a girl (much bigger than me) threw a certain brand catalog at me and said "Here, this is what us big girls wear". I KNOW she didn't say it to be mean but it was really aggrivating that she didn't notice that I had lost 30 lbs in three months.
I'm beat, worked for two doctors at the same time so it was chaos and I refuse to exercise. Just gonna go lay down, snuggle up and watch a good movie :D
Have a wonderful week everyone!!!

These ppl make me so mad!! What do you think there reaction would be if you said to them, gee your looking so thin.....are you throwing up after every meal? GEEZ!!!!
Audrey~ your 155 lbs!! youve lost 10!!!!! I dont know how tall you are, but it looks like your goal is a little less than 25 more lbs? It always hurts so much when people say these things. But pls pls dont let it get to you. Dont let that insensitive person sabotage all your hard work!!!!!! You've lost 10lbs!!!!!!! Only a dingbat would ask you if you were expecting!! So stick around here, we'll set you straight :D
bnbsmommy~ another insensitive dingbat to not give another thought to. I dont know how tall you are, but if your 219 and around 5'8, your lookin at a regular XL not the "big girl" catalogue. She was just trying to make herself feel better. Looks like you've been working very hard to get yourself down too....Dont let her sabotage everything!
There is nothing wrong with the plus size catalogues....I still shop in the lane bryant catalogue, but using it to make someone feel bad, or worse yet, to make themselves feel better about themselves is just wrong and down right mean.
Ive been asked once if I was pregnant, nope, I wasnt. When I was pregnant, and told ppl, they were always surprised. Up until my 7th month, I just looked bigger. I got rounder and rounder. I didnt get the beach ball belly....I unded up looking like a barrell. The next time was when a waitress asked me and my bf (husband now) a table for 2, then pointed at my belly and said 3? The look on my face must have made her realize what she just did, and stammered over, oh never minds, and Im sorry, the lighting in here is tricky. The bf married me anyway

awww Robin, you had to know he was a keeper then!! hahaha relationships, let's talk relationships! LOL
yes, I'm 5'9 - 5'10 depending on where I measure at (the clinic or home) LOL
hey, is it me or does anyone else think it's weird to have all the plus size ads all around here?? you'd think that the more 'skinny' stores would be advertising too...it'd be inspiration anyway, and right now I'd much rather click on a gap ad than a 'plus size clothing' ad  boy am I whiney, maybe it's getting to be that time of the month
Speaking of stores, have any of you been to anthropologie?? I just found it online, there's no such 'real' store around here but I just droooool over all of their too cute clothing and accessories! And their scarves...oh, yummy!!
ok, I really need to get to bed. g'night!

hey ladies..it's time to revamp my menu, I think. I didn't lose or gain this week. Which is *okay* I guess. So, my soda is getting cut out..drinking my crystal light. Do you ladies count calories, too? Was wondering if I should as well. I will cut back on regular bacon and opt for the turkey bacon when I go shopping again in two weeks. I've been eating veggies on a regular basis...fresh at that..I've been using the 1 or 0 carb dressing..and I don't use that much to begin with. The average meal contains meat of some sort...either beef, chicken breast, or pork chop. and two veggies. Not to mention, I've actually exercised last week on a regular basis....okay...robin..your smart..where have I gone wrong..okay..maybe the 0 carb candies???..lol. Should I replace that with putting something like the low carb ice cream..this way all I have is the serving? I'm lost.
okay...on a happier note...
Lottie: your outfit sounds cute. I envy you.
Lacey: I've noticed the ads, too..but, ignore them.lol
Brandy: You have way more will power than I do. When I attended the tupperware party the other night, I gave in. I couldn't resist....I figured since I exercised, it would be okay....Not!
Audrey: Sorry to hear that people can be ignorant. I'm sure they meant well..just laugh it off and tell them they are crazy!

if so...no low carb candies, and no low carb icecream...and no soda. Limit your crystal light too.
I keep track of my calories on fitday. I average 1400 calories a day...give or take 100.
You just started l/c last month right? First time ever? Do you know what stalls you out?
No loss?....my best guess is the shower you were at. Your probably holding water from the carbs you ate. Drink more water!

Audrey: Way to go on the 10 pounds!! :cb: Keep up the great work! Ignore the ignorant people and don't let them side track you!!! :)
Robin: Your self control is envied!! I wouldn't be able to bake and not eat what I'm making! Maybe I should find something the girls like that I actually don't  We found the deer by the way :) And if you lived around me I'm sure I could talk DH into hunting again to get you all a deer
Brandy: WTG on skipping the desserts! Wish I had that self control!! You're going to knock 'em dead on your vacation :)
Lottie: Make sure to take pictures and post them :) The costume sounds cute!
Lacey: Haven't seen that store. And I noticed the same thing about the ads. Sorry to hear about the rudeness of that girl. She's probably just jealous!!! Keep up the great work!! Atkins has recipes at their website if you're interested. I've not tried any of that though so can't verify the taste. Sorry!
Mindy: Could be a combination of things. Could be the Crystal Light...could be the 0 carb candies. Do those have sugar alcohols?? Chances are the answers yes and that is known to stall people. Changing to LC ice cream won't help--and a warning on that.....LC ice cream has a gasy effect on people. Or sometimes they just get back stomach aches. Try cutting out that stuff altogether and see what happens :)
Well, it's Tuesday and a GS day. So that means getting the newsletter and stuff ready. I'm hoping that's all I have to do. Oldest DD might have her first babysitting job for kids up the road a little. I like that idea so she doesn't have to be that far away if she has trouble. Shes' a hollers distance away :) She only watches the boys for 2 hours pretty much every day. Sometimes a little longer if the mom has to work longer or not at all if the dad doesn't work (he has his own business). So this'll give her a little extra money and some confidence in doing it :) Otherwise eating ways I do good but it's the water that's stinking. Back to it today and I have to work harder at that. Can't flush out the fat if I'm not peeing :rofl3:

Good morning ladies! I'm off to a bright new start...I liked what the scale told me this morning ;). I'm also being able to start wearing some of my old clothes which is nice. I'm ready to burn all my maternity clothes. I think I should do it! Have a big maternity clothes burning in the back yard!
I told my dad about what the doctor said to me, and he said, "Well, that just means you have to keep at it and lose about thirty more pounds and get back to your fighting weight!"
I'm 5'2", so I'm a shortie. Plus, I've put over forty pounds on in four years...I guess the ten pounds a year theory holds up with me.
Mindy- I honestly would cut out all the stuff that I call "cheat" food. You know the stuff that says low carb on it like ice cream and candy. Even if you are a week out of induction I would still eat like I was on induction, but start throwing in a helping of strawberries or nuts. I'm sure you could find something that will satisfy your sweet tooth if need be. I just took the suggestion from another thread about ricotta cheese flavored with vanilla extract and splenda. I through some slivered almonds in it, and OMG it tasted just as good as cheesecake if not better.

well..thanks for the input...i went to the supermarket today..didn't buy no candies..and there are officially non left in the house. I quit the soda thing...i filled up a jug with water and stuck it in the fridge to chill. I did drink a bottle of water this am. So..slowly working it back out...I didn't buy no ice cream....I did get an atkins bar that is labeled for induction. So yeah....
I just don't see how crystal light can affect you, though? since it is basically water with a little bit of flavor. But, I'll listen to you :dizzy:
I'm trying my darndest to print up the list of all the okay foods on induction..but, my printer is being a pain in the rear. I want to put it on the fridge for easy access. It's very informative.
Since I didn't lose any last week, I'm staying on induction for at least another week..maybe two. It'll make me feel better anyway..lol. alright...off to exercise. yippee.

Good Morning :coffee:
Mindy~ you might find that what is "suppose" to be ok for induction, or low carbers....affects you differently. Some of us can eat the atkins bars, and l/c treats without problems. Me..? Well, unfortunately I cant. I would stall out every single time. Those Atkins bars, and others were the worst for me. You're getting there....keep up the great work.
Brenda~ its only a 12 hr drive from buffalo, to the state of wisconsin!!!!!! Just a days drive.....where in the state are you? Let me think, Im figuring in the cost of gas to get there,(and back) cost of butchering,.....think it would be worth it ? Do you have moose there too??????? Um...willpower???? I made a batch of bread last night....and um...it was really tastey :s: I will admit this tho, I think if a low carber is going to eat bread, she should have to make it home made from scratch without the help of a bread machine!!! I have sore shoulders this morning! :lol3: Its too much work......but its a christmas type of bread. Ive been looking for this type of recipe for years, and when I found it, I thought Id give it a try. I think I might be making this one for christmas giving.
Audrey~ sounds like your doing good!! Maternity clothes burning party? I wish I had thought of that....I was still wearing my maternity undies a year later :( Burning it all would have felt cleansing......go for it
I didnt get my paper work done yesterday. Im terrible, I have to get it done!! Then mailed off!! geez.....I will do this today!
I have one more recipe to try, its a bit more involved than yesterdays, its going to take about 4 hrs, but if it gives me the results I want, then its worth it. I promise to only test it when its done. Ive already given the 2 full loaves away. I thought of freezing them, but then all I have to do is thaw and eat  not a good idea.
Should colour my hair today too  Im just lazy today....things that should get done, arent....but all the fun stuff, is first on my list. :dizzy:
Well, Ive been rambling......have a great day everyone

Mindy ~ Let us know how the low carb bars work for you. I've only had 3, but EVERY time I have eaten one, I knew that is what stalled me out. And I always got the caramel ones and oh my goodness, they're too good not to do some sort of damage!
Audrey ~ What a cute idea, a maternity burning party! I wanna have a size 20/18 burning party!! I have a SIL that can wear all of my outgrown clothes though, so it's nice to be able to help her out :)
I'd love to find a lot of 16 winter clothes on ebay or somewhere but it looks like it's not happening yet. Tried hitting the thrift shop but they had nothing either...I refuse to wear sweats this winter. EVERY winter to date I have gained weight. I think the sweats had a lot to do with it. Just eat eat eat and they still fit  Wish I could throw them away but they are dh's and he'd have a fit.
I lost another pound today, I've just been too busy to eat (I never knew that I'd say that) and I guess working so much and not sitting down all day has been burning the calories :) yippee!

Hello all you beautiful ladies! I went to my son's parent/teacher conference last night and lost all of my hunger.. Could have barfed actually... I went home and made enchilada's for the fam.. ate some lunch meat and then.. got busy with dishes and laundry.. Too busy to eat.. and it was nighty night time before I knew it.
To all you gals eating those nasty bars and lc ice cream.. or even the candy.. I can't bare to eat another. I have tried them all and have decided to never do it again! They either leave a nasty taste in your mouth, taste nasty all together or make you spend most of your time on the crapper! I have found a sneekie little way to get something that tastes good and kinda like ice cream.. well its close enough for me.. I stick a container of cool whip in the fridge. It has sugar in it.. but it is low in carbs.. I just take a bite when I need to cheat.. It totally stops all the wants... It is kinda bad so I don't eat tons.. just a spoon full and wa la! I feel like a new woman!
It works for me. I thought I would share. Please don't yell at me!
GOOD DAY LADIES!!!

That means I have to guzzle some right now because there's NO way I can drink that while at a GS meeting. I'd be in the bathroom all the time  Ok...off to go drink water. Audrey,
Is your husband in the service? Sorry if that's a sensitive question, I just keep seeing your sig and wondering :)
Can I ask a breast question? Has anyone found after they've lost weight that their breast are heading even more ummmm towards the feet? It's so sad...so so so sad. I seriously looked at the price of a lift today. wow, getting so vain and I haven't even hit the 200 mark yet.
And a tummy question...does the belly fat go away after a while or does it always just hang there? My doctor says sit ups or ANY excercise other than walking are a no no :?: So just wondering about that. I think there's a surgery for that too, isn't there? I tried checking out the surgical forum but all I could find was band surgery and such :)

what was his reason for not doing situps?????????????????????? Situps, and any other ab exercise will tighten up the muscles in the middle, but cardio is the only thing that will help burn it off. Yes the belly fat will go away, I promise. On me, its the first place to gain, and one of the last to loose. So, when I get to my goal weight, I'll look more seriously into a tummy tuck.
Boobs falling? I bought some pretty new bras :) Thats not something I want a knife to touch unless its a life or death situation.
I want a boob job, mine are saggy from breastfeeding.

My surgeon actually is who said no...I had surgery on 2 herniated disks approx. 5 months ago. They were L4 & L5 so I'm assuming it's because he doesn't want them to do it again :) If I do a lot around the house or lift too much at work my back and leg start hurting again...so I try to take his advice as much as possible..I NEVER want that surgery again :)

Bad news is...no weight loss....the good news is....no weight GAIN! :cb:
So my plan of action is:
1: DRINK MORE WATER
2: Skip the peanuts (bad habit!!)
3 Drink more water
One of these days I really SHOULD give up the soda again. I'm sure that's not helping. But I'm going to work on those 2 (ahem...3 ) things and see how that works. I've got a couple weeks before I have to go to the Women's Retreat so not sure how I'll do there. Will see if they have LC options and do my best for that. Friday we're eating out so if we do fast foods I'll load up on salads and such. Maybe I should bring some LC breakfast bars and eat those instead of the stuff there. Not much filling but it'd be at least OP stuff. Have to consider that option. I'd LOVE to be able to come back and say I was OP!!! We'll see how that goes.
So now I have a plan for the rest of this week and next. Help me keep to it!!! :)

anyway, I think it's because I didn't eat anything besides 2 pieces of sausage all day...I need to start putting some healthy foods inside myself so my body will go into melt mode...oh, and the water, I didn't drink hardly anything either :( goal for today: eat at least 3 times today and DRINK MY WATER!!!!

Hey all....I'm popping in for the week. I miss all of you and HELLO to all the new ones that are here. I can't wait to get my head out of my butt and be able to get in here more than once a week. I did do my weigh in today and it was down one pound. That is good. I have been working out about 4x a week. Sometimes I do workout 2x a day which I really like. Wish I would have last night, couldn't fall asleep to save my life. Well got to get things down. Good luck staying OP all!!!

Good Morning :coffee:
Beck~ sounds like your working hard. Its good to see you :)
Audrey~ I measured when I started out, but I only measure once a month. The first week I measured, after I had started working out, I had gained 2.5 inches :dizzy: So now I leave to once a month, or when things feel loose and the scale hasnt changed.
Lacey~ you have to eat more!!! :D thats all Im gonna say :p
Brenda~ I bought peanuts last night, but didnt open them yet. You just reminded me, I have portion control issues with them. I think I'll leave them sealed!
I made some more finnish coffee bread yesterday....and right when it was finally time to put them in the oven, the oven wouldnt light!!! I was furious! It was 8pm, and I didnt know what the **** I was going to do with 3 still rising breads that I couldnt cook! After about an hour of trying, dh comes in, gives it a try, and didnt the bugger start it?!?!?!? He knows I want an electric stove and oven, after last night, he really knows!
I dont have much planned for today, just putzin' around the house....have a great day everyone.

HI ALL!!! Did anyone watch biggest looser last night? HOLY CRAP! I always thought Suzanne looked a little like me... But damn! What she looks like now is a friggin super model! She was down to 159... (Now, if I ever weigh 159 you all might want to get a nice dress for my funeral! I am 6 foot 2 inches tall..) But she was BEAUTIFUL!!!! She made may hubby and I both take a double take! GEEPERS! WOW! So.. right after that.. I ran up and down my steps for a half hour. I guess she inspired me! he he he! I run my steps when I get sick of my exercise bike.. that gets boring after a while...
I only weigh myself 1 time a week... I have measured myself.. and I will check that soon and let cha know! I forgot I even did it! :)
I promise all ya that I will be good today...

you girls are talking about falling boobs...they have this new breast master out..kind of like thigh master..but, for boobs. I wonder if that would be a heck of a lot cheaper..and still do the job. Just means you would have to work for it..lol. I'm considering once it hits the store shelves looking into it. I mean..why not?

LOL! I was thinking of doing a web search on that but I can only IMAGINE what would pop up if I put "Breast Master" into my search engine! lol
Hello to all the new faces, btw. I'm Kel and have been around here for ages. I prefer to eat the LC way but the carb monster that lives in my brain gets the better of me at times. Your 'gung ho' posts are motivating me in the right direction, tho - thanks!

Lacey: DEFINITELY make sure you're eating during the day!! Even if it's something little. I know it's hard sometimes but gotta try. The 2 pounds'll be off in a day or two!
Leenie:
Audrey: I used to weigh myself every day. Yup you need to get over it  Don't worry about it saying you're up. If you're OP then it's just a slip of your scale! Keep up the good work!
Bec: WOW! You are an inspiration to exercise! Dang I wish I wasn't such a slug though  Well, that and I don't seem to be home or have a free time to do that. But you're making me rethink my schedule :)
Robin: Good luck staying away from the peanuts. I didn't manage to last night. Not sure what the problem is because I wasn't hungry!! ARGH! Great job on the willpower though :)
Brandy: Aren't you ever afraid of falling down the steps? We have steps in our house also and I wouldn't dream of doing that. of course ours leads to the basement and that's cement down there  Keep up the great work!
Mindy: Oh my. That sounds interesting. lol. Good luck w/it and let us know how it works!!
Kel:  HOw's it going and welcome back :)
Well, the peanuts got the better of me again. ARGH. The only good thing is I took a trek through the woods yesterday to go feed the deer. So that's a plus in my direction. So I'm getting some exercise in w/out it seeming like exercise. Not sure what to do when we don't have to bait the deer anymore!! Not much happening around here. We're supposed to bowl tomorrow but my wrist is sore enough I think I'm going to have to call in a sub. Hate doing that because I enjoy bowling but I don't really think I could bowl much with it like this. Nope, not sure what I did to it. Occassionally it aches like this and after a few days of wearing a brace and driving me nuts it gets better. Luckily there's nothing too pressing happening that I truly need to use it---just bowling. Eating otherwise was good (minus the peanuts of course) and water intake is so-so. Need to get more of that in. Definitely need to start skipping the soda and drinking the water. I know, I know, I keep saying I'm going to do that. Easier said than done

Good Morning :coffee:
Brenda~ I used up ALL the peanuts!!! I made a batch of "Eatmore" bars, then promptly gave them all away!! Ive been wanting to make these for months. Just to see if they tasted like the real thing (canadian chocolate bar) I had a small square to test. It was perfect, and now they are gone!!
Kel~ good to see you back here. How is the dating going?
Dottie & L....where are you 2?
Stairs~ I hate them!! I wont do a stair master, or step class, and I hate having only one bathroom, and it being on the second floor! Im a master at falling up and down stairs. :dunno: I told dh, our next house will be ONE level!! Brandy~ keep up the good work girly, and be careful!!
Not much planned for today. I was up early because the garbage men were by early and very noisey. They always toot (big honk!) at the kids across the street. They sit in the windows and wait for them to come, of course, they toot, and the kids get all excited. Im not complaining, its cute. But it was enough noise to successfully wake me up and get my butt out of bed
Meatball making might be on the agenda today? Some italian wedding soup without the noodles maybe? We'll see. Im bored out of my mind being at home all the time. I could clean I guess :lol3: Im sure I can find something to do other than cleaning!!!
My front garden is getting prettier and prettier! Go figure! The silver stuff I planted back in June has exploded, and its huge. The dalia type flowers are amazing, and I dont want to pull anything out yet. Everything is so pretty. But I dont want to be out there when its snowing, digging up my garden, and planting tulips and daffys. We actually still have bees coming to the flowers in the front. Even the birds have quit bathing in the bird bath!! (time to put it away for the winter)
Alright, well I should get started at something.....have a great day everyone

My boobs are hopeless!) 3 babies later.. My husband is still infatuated with them! You might be the only one that notices the changes.

Hello everyone! I've been missing for a while, I know. I fell off the wagon big time and have been trying to get back on. So... all this talk about falling boobs. At least you ladies HAVE boobs - I have nothing! My last hope for boobs was when I was pregnant. I was so excited - I thought for SURE I would get boobs because all my friends talked about how huge theirs got when they were pregnant. Nope, not mine. I was so dissapointed. However, Hubby did say that when I reach my goal weight he will buy me some (my idea, not his). So why the heck do I keep eating friggin' cookie dough?! I would much rather have a set of nice new boobs than a squishy mouthful of cookie dough - what's wrong with me???
To all of you ladies - it sounds like you are all doing a great job of staying on track. Keep up the good work and hopefully some of it will rub off on me!
um.......whats wrong with you??? Nothing, the squishy cookie in your mouth tastes good. ...who is going to taste the new boob job? :lol3: Sorry I couldnt resist :o

Your going to be ok, hop back on the wagon...read thru some of the posts for motivation, hit the before and after pics for more motivation. Maybe pick up a book at the library....I picked up a book for procrastinators...I still havent read the flippin' thing  go figure  But Ive read some really great motivational stuff lately.
Hang out with us, even when your not op.....that helps too :)

peanuts are a terrible temptation to some of you? That is SO AWESOME to know! My downfall is sunflower seeds. I seriously could just drink an entire package in no time at all. they're sooooo good. *trying not to think of cookie dough which is even better*
did good today, thought I had the energy to clean out my sewing room but EVERYTHING is now taking up my kitchen and dh is gonna freak when he comes home. I went to the lumberyard and had them cut some boards so I could make shelves, then I got them home they're all the wrong size! :o
I'm such a martha reject, I can't even put up shelves by myself :)
have a good FRIDAY everybody!! It's almost Friday....wooohoo!

Robin - Woman, you are TERRIBLE!!!! But I'm cracking up! Thanks for the words of encouragement! I'll think of you fondly as they're knocking me out just before I go under the knife!
Brandy - I can tell by your evil little smiley face picture that you probably have a few interesting comments yourself! ;)
Lacey - Oh my gosh, I'm glad I'm not the only one who "measures once, cuts twice"! I'm horrible at that stuff. I get all crafty and then screw it all up and hubby has to bail me out! I am the Anti-Martha, so don't feel bad. You're not alone!
Okay, off to drink Crystal Light...

Lacey~ good luck with your shelving!! I would have been in a frenzy if I had cut them wrong, and dh was due home! Cuz, he would want to help, and he's a Bob Villa reject
My mom is coming to visit this weekend :sunny: I havent seen her since June. So this will be a nice visit. Dad is bringing her and he'll stay for lunch, then mom and I can go shopping! Should be fun :hat: and....I have no intention of staying op this weekend! ;)

Morning all! How are my skinny chicks? Doing fine here, I'm dealing with this awful skin thing right now and it's driving me bonkers. I've been breaking out in hives on my hands randomly since Richard left in August, but I itch all over. I thought I figured it out and that I was allergic to diet coke, but that appear to not be the case since I haven't had any and I'm still breaking out. To top it off, I never really related the two, but my mom seems to think they are connected I have been getting bruises all over my thighs and I don' thave a clue as to why. I've never bruised easily before. I tried doing research on my own, but I either come to no conclusion or the crap just scares me. There is this illness called yeast disease that it sounds similar too, but that is when someone is overloaded on carbohydrates, and well....we all know this is not possible. I guess I'm going to have to break my record of not going to the doctor. Pooey. I've been doing well as far as the diet goes. Went to dinner with the parents last night and had cajun grilled catfish and a salad. I swear this diet is so easy for me!

Oh my!! Falling boobs....fake boobs....tasting boobs (by the way, I'm sure her DH could answer that question  ) and cookie dough. I like the cookie dough conversation better :lol3: want to hear something hilarious (well, not as hilarious as the picture of us all trying to pick up our falling boobs, but still funny)? Well, Wednesday I was bored so decide to go color my hair. Well, silly me forgot to look to see what kind I had used before as I liked the way it turned out--just a shade lighter than my original color. So I decide to go for the "cheap and easy" brand. Was SUPPOSED to be a shade lighter as well. HOLY COW! It went DARK!! So the first thing DH says is "you look like your sisters" to which I wanted to run right out that minute and get this lovely kit that's called "hair color stripper". But resist and bought it yesterday instead. SOOooooo....I put the gunk in my hair (and praying it doesn't make my hair fall out) and look at the timing.....50 MINUTES?? HUH??? So after about 3 minutes I decide I best take it out because I only wanted to lighten my hair a couple shades lighter. OMG!!! It turned my hair a light RED!!!! :lol3: Kind of strawberry blonde. Guess that'll teach me to try and color my hair (hm...or was the lesson not to get bored???).

Brenda, you go girl, you can do it!! And the hair color, I LOVE it!! I think it's fun to have different hair colors :) Good luck on the water drinkin' today!!
As for myself, I had a bloaty feeling day yesterday and I just can't get outta the slump. Am I making sense? Sometimes I'll think I look SO GOOD and then I look in the mirror and I'm still this disgusting overweight person that doesn't even compare to everyone else. Anyway, don't know what the deal is, maybe ttotm? (mine are always ir-regular, never know when it'll surprise me). I'm sure you all really wanted to know that too  Maybe I'll try to squeeze in some walking or something, that always helps the 'ol spirit!
Have a great weekend everyone!!!!

Ok. I stink at this. I blew it yesterday already. Subway and chocolate chip cookies. ARGGGG. Alll with the excuse that it doesn't pay to do induction when I have that retreat next weekend. What a weenie I am! And of course I totally blank out the fact that I FEEL better when I'm on Atkins. Now I feel like this bloated, dried out (my lips always get dry) cow. Well, I felt like a cow yesterday too, so not sure what the problem is. SO!! Back to the drawing board!!!

Hello :)
Brenda, your hair problems sound alot like mine! lol Im not one to experiment with colour tho. I had it turn blueberry blue once....never brought that brand again. I like the colour tho, but I could only see your hair, not your face. So I cant tell if it looks good or not on you.
Lottie~ Sorry I didnt get back to you sooner. Your on induction, and from what I remember your going into your 3rd or 4th week? At your weight, you should still be loosing consistently every week. There must be something that your eating, and maybe you dont even know it, that is stalling you out. I have the most stubborn fat around, plus pcos and insulin sensitivity, my body LOVES to hold carb water. Even little cheats at this point will slow things down for you on this diet. If you cant think of why your not loosing, post your daily menu for us to peek at. Give us everything you put in your mouth for the day. Otherwise, we wont be able to help. Are you using fitday to keep track of your carb intake?
Audrey~ my dil suffered severe physical illnesses while her dh (my stepson) was deployed in Iraq earlier this year. She's been fine since he's been back, her dr. and the rest of us think it was all stress related. Im not saying that it wasnt there, it certainly was, but we all think it was brought on by the stress of him being over there. That was the first think I thought of when you mentioned the hives. My thoughts are with you, and your family. Its not easy for you.
Ive had a wonderful weekend, mom and I did massive amounts of shopping. Mom got quite a bit of christmas shopping done. Got lots of ideas for her granddaughter (my dd) I even bought a new sweater, in that new teal colour thats out this winter. Its just beautiful, and size Large!!! I was so excited!!!
Did some christmas shopping for dd too, found some cool funky girlie stuff that had my dd's name written all over it! Im making progress! I was completely op (off program) :lol3: all weekend, and Im very ready to get back to it, Im tired, and feel all fuzzy headed.
I'll catch you all in the morning....have a nice sunday night :)

Ok. Chocolate chip cookies were NOT a good thing to make. There are plenty left..but plenty got eaten by this pig (see my avatar??). I'm thinking I need to re-think my soda options. I think that took care of my sweet cravings. So I'll go get some soda tomorrow....and start from there. But make sure I drink PLENTY of water to go with it. I want the weight gone but it's not disappearing THIS way! So one step at a time :)

robin, i don't use fitday anymore, since all i eat is meat and broccoli. i doubt i'm eatinganything thats stalling me. i'm not eating any 'low carb' food except the occasional,OCCASIONAL low carb peanut butter, and even that i only eat half a serving. i recently had some splenda but starting tomorrow i'm cutting that out too.
this is my second time on atkins, i have heard of the 'one golden shot' and that subsequent times it is harder.could this be my problem?
