If you're anything like, weekends are always a struggle diet-wise. In order to keep myself on track this weekend, I'm going to be journalling my food etc. here for the next three days. Join me if you so desire!
Count me in too. We've got a long weekend so I'm a little scared. I haven't had the best week so I really need to get on track this weekend. I weigh in tomorrow and I'm pretty sure I've lost nothing. I've probably gained since I've been doing alot of strength exercises this week.
My weekend food frustration... the state fair (ie, fried.. everything you could ever imagine) and tailgating for saturdays football game I guess this is more alcohol frustration than anything.
I'm so bad at journaling food over the weekend. My goal is to not eat fair food (do I need fried twinkies? probably not), to get in at least 2 good work outs, stay active and not drink too much.
FRIED TWINKIES and I thought battered Mars Bars were bad....
Everybody : for the weekend. I'm planning ahead - I'm going out shopping tonight to buy things for my packed lunch tomorrow! I'm going to stuff everything into fitday to see what it'll pan out like. Then we're having dinner out tomorrow night. I might pick the salad
We can do it! We just have to want to do it bad enough!
My plan for the weekend food-wise is to eat what is in my apartment as much as possible! I don't have much food left, but I want to get rid of what I do have so I don't have to move it to the new apartment. I know I have turkey burgrs in the freezer, so those will be dinner tonight, and probably tomato soup (I still have 1 can in the cabinet, I think) for lunch tomorrow. Other than that, I'll have to be very creative (though I'm sure we'll end up just going out a few times, too). I have to pack up my whole place this weekend, so I'm sure that will be plenty of sweaty exercise in itself!
ahh weekends are the worst for me and I just got my period! yuck! so my plan, is to make sure I only eat from my core foods list. not eat out!!!! that is where and when I mess up everything. Not snack on my son's leftovers. that is a problem I can't seem to get away from. I've been doing better since starting core since he doesn't eat core food most of the time.
Pl;us I want to make sure I work out tonight and tomorrow morning.

2.5 c. low fat ice cream

Exercise: 50 min. elliptical and 30 min. bike (+ tons of stairs)

No afternoon snack and a lunch with very little protein left me ravenous by about 5 pm, and we don't have much at home to cook with (especially quick), so DH went and got a medium cheese pizza. Not the best of options, BUT I ate 2 servings of veggies before he got there and gulped 8 oz. of water so that I would be more controlled, and I was! Two pieces of cheese pizza, about 450 calories. Not bad at all really, and since my fat intake has been pretty low today, the fat grams didn't throw me off either. So now that I'm no longer hungry and I'm feeling good about choices, I'm going to do some grocery shopping! I'm sure I'll be back later with an evening snack...
Grrr... okay, so the my evening snack turned turned into an eating fest, I won't go into it in too much detail 'cuz I'm against virtual food porn as much as the next guy! But basically, at the grocery store, I decided to treat myself to one of those little ghirardelli chocolate square things (about 180 cals.) since I was right at 1200 cals. for the day thus far. Then I saw the Reeses cereal, and I walked by, then I walked back!!! Nooooo... that was my downfall, because by that point I was rationalizing that I could use a "high" day and that it would be good for my metabolism, blah, blah, blah... not all entirely untrue, but I should know that I can't treat myself like this without getting out of control... which I did. The chocolate square was consumed, then some cereal with milk, then some low-fat ice cream, then the rest of the leftover pizza... luckily, today is a new day and I've got a gameplan. I've added up the last 5 day's worth of calories and subtracted it from 10,500 (7 days at 1500 cals.) and found out that in order for me to stay at or below that amount, I only have 1538 calories left. Soooo - if I keep my cals. low (below 1300) and burn an extra 500 cals. both today and tomorrow, I'll pretty much even out.
FRIDAY
1 medium iced latte with whipped cream.... BUT!! wait please dont yell at me... That is my FIRST one in 3 months, it just was SCREAMING "buy me buy me, drink me, i am soooooooooooooooo yummy " oohhh... the rest of the weekend will be better.. I PROMISE!
omg i am so in on this thread, the weekends are the absolute worst for me. BUT today i weighed in and reached my mini goal that i have had since VALENTINE'S DAY. (i know, talk about a lack of motivation over the past several months) i REALLY want to be at that weight, or at least my goal for the week, on monday morning. unfortunately i already had a bagel this morning (so many cals) but i also went running so i got some excercise in. i just need to be careful to eat smartly tonight and tomorrow at the bf's company picnic (shouldnt be too hard). i am going to workout tomorrow morning and try not to eat too much at the beach...shouldnt be too hard since i will be with all my friends who are super skinny, weight loss godesses
B: Reduced Fat Bisquick Pancakes - this was a control test. I did good I only had 2 of them.
L: Bran flakes w/ sliced almonds (I was running late for work and needed something quick) This was an early lunch.
S: Lime chips - Bad me, but I was dying for something salty.
D: Max & Ermas - shared Black Bean Rollups w/ DH and had chicken salad for entree - had a rum and coke (I needed it)
D: Carmel Frappucino (Venti - I split w/ DH) Too many carbs left me w/ a hankering for a frap, I couldn't resist
This was a horrible day calorie wise. I was over 2000. I'm going for a long walk today and I'm staying on track today. I didn't weigh in on Friday, I'm going to do it on Monday. I'm too scared to do it now.
Stayed around 2000-2100 calories for Friday, so not too bad (considering a normal Friday for me is McDonald's breakfast, pizza lunch, and dinner out with Jeff--instead, I did yogurt and oatmeal for breakfast, pizza for lunch, and turkey burgers on whole wheat buns with lowfat cheese and ff mayo for dinner ).
As for today, I made lowfat Bisquick pancakes for breakfast, too! I had 4 pancakes and 3 turkey sausage links and reduced-calorie syrup--all together, about 585 calories. We don't normally eat lunch, just breakfast and dinner, so that's an okay amount for half my day's food. I now have the crock pot simmering reduced-fat turkey keilbasa with swedish sauce (no-sugar-added grape jelly and chili sauce) for dinner, and I already know that there's about 2300 calories in the whole pot, so even if I eat half of it, I'll still be below 2000 calories for the day, plus I'm packing my whole apartment up, which is plenty of exercise! I hope I do well tomorrow, too...
EDITED TO ADD: ended up going to Potbelly for smoothies, too. I got an Oreo smoothie, but they're not very big, so I would think I still managed to at least stay below 2200 calories for the day (I didn't end up eating all of the keilbasa I thought I might, so I had fewer calories there). Overall, still better than usual!
