Hi, my name is Deanna and I am 22 years old and live in Orlando, Florida. I am married to my wonderful husband (we've been together for 8 wonderful years) and we have 2 dogs and 1 cat. He's my rock. He fully supports me, listens to me when I need some ears and is always so encouraging.

I'm so happy I've found this forum! I hope I can join you guys here! I am 5'9" and I currently weigh 272 pounds as of this morning :tantrum: and I want to get down to 140. That is my goal. One step at a time! :) I belong to a Gym called "Ladies Workout Express" and it's great!

Hope to talk with you all some more! :)

Hi! Thanks! I'm really excited to meet new people and I am so glad that I can have a place to vent/talk with and have support from women, just like me, kwim?

I've been so ashamed of myself for the way I've let myself go but last night, was a deal breaker for me. A good friend of mine (I watch her son during the week) told me "I lost 15 pounds!" and I was so happy for her..but in the inside, *I* wanted to be the one to say something back at her of what *I've* done..but I couldn't. I feel so crappy for the way I've let myself go and not care. I stay fairly active while watching kiddo's during the week so I think that's how I don't gain more then I am..I've been at the weight I'm at for 2 years now. It's crazy. So now that a friend of mine is loosing weight, it works as a competition for me as well. ;)

Welcome Deanna. I know how you feel about your friend but try not to compare your weight loss with others, it has a way of leading to a bad outlook on things. It's best to compete with yourself. Set goals and go for those goals and then treat yourself with a new book, cothes etc... when you make that goal.

Hi Deanna

Welcome to the forum, I haven't been here all that long either but so far I think it has helped me focus a little more then usual. Losing weight is never easy but when you have a great support group that is going through what you are it makes it alot easier. Forums are great for that. I managed to stay quit smoking for 10 months now because of a forum and I am hoping to have that kind of success with this forum as well! Phew!...sorry got a little long winded there! Basically, welcome aboard!! :D
