Okay, so technically I'm starting this on the 12th, but that's okay with y'all, right? Good. ;)
I'm hoping that this week ends up being better for all of us than last week was. Seems last week was kind of a scratch anyway.
...er...the most interesting thing is happening. My cat's playing with my bedroom door (for whatever reason) and she's about an inch away from closing herself in the bedroom. Lol. This little girl cracks me up!
I really don't have much else to report on here. I've got a busy week ahead of me, but nothing close to last week (I hope!).
Have a wonderful Monday, ladies!!

I'm back! The scary thing is that I somehow gained 4 pounds since last Wednesday! Geez, I didn't even know that it was possible to gain almost a pound a day! I better get back on track right away! I didn't have any food in the house, and so I couldn't eat breakfast! I had one 100 calorie pack of cookies and a Mountain Dew so far today. I hope I make it until lunch!! I'm use to filling up with cereal!
The weirdest thing happened to me this weekend!! I walked the 15-mile walk that I explained to all of you. I felt great doing it, but I was super tired afterwards. I started getting a headache, and so I took some medicine right as we were beginning supper. Well, I ate, and I loved our supper that my husband's brother-in-law made. Then, as we were still sitting around the table, I FAINTED!! I have no clue why. DH said that I was out for 20-30 seconds, and that my lips turned blue! I layed down for about 1.5 hours, and I threw up when I got up. I still felt odd yesterday (Sunday) even though this happened on Saturday night. Any ideas what could have caused this? DH thinks it's because I took my medicine right before we started eating rather than with food, and my mom thinks I was dehydrated. I don't really want to go to the doctor, because hopefully it will never happen again!
I'm still trying to catch up on all the posts! Have a good week!

Oh my goodness....that is really scary...I'm wondering if you were dehydrated as well. I would just really pay attention to how your body is feeling over the next few days and if you are still feeling weird, I would then go see your doc. Is this the first time you have walked 15 miles? (Sorry for not knowing) I hope you are feeling better real soon. Oh and as for the gain..I am sure it is just water weight. I can gain like that too and then it goes away after a couple of days.
Amanda-How long have you been on WW? I kinda look at you as my inspiration b/c we are similar in starting weight and working with a trainer and what not. I am just having kinda a down moment b/c of all of the exercise and just now getting the scale to move. I also came to a hard hitting realisation this weekend...I AM NOT A SIZE 16. I have not wanted to admit that and have been buying all 16's for the past 2 years and I cannot wear it. I just put it in my closet. Occasionally I come across one that I can wear...but I AM NOT A REGULAR SIZE 16. Now I can wear a 16W in Old Navy...BUT not a regular 16....it just finally hit me smack dab in the face. So goal is now to get in all of thost 16's but not to stay long. I've really got to step it up this week.
When you guys are totally on plan...approx how much do you lose a week? I kept telling myself 1 lb is what you need...but I am finding myself WANTING MORE!!! You have all done so well...any words of wisdom would be just great!!

Hi all! It was a rough night last night. The highlight was a whole cup of milk barfed directly in my hair around midnight. But so far today is going better :)
Stephanie, it was probably a combination of exhaustion and dehydration. My mom and Dad once did a 100 mile bike ride. My mom passed out later that day. It's just a guess but that's what I would consider it to be. Just take a break the next few days the best you can and see how you feel. Probablyw ouldn't hurt to see a dr. though.
Well I have an entire shelf of books to pick up, then an entire shelf od cd's to pick up (can you tell DS is in the cause and effect stage?), then more laundry than I care to think about to sort. The big bonus is I am done with peaches!!! I have 30 some lovely quarts of glistening juiciness all stocked away for those cold winter months. I love the way home canned fruits and veggies look in their clear glass jars. All those pretty colors. Ok I am off, duty calls. Have a greta day everyone!

09-12-2005, 02:59 PM
I'm thinking it's dehydration also! LOL! People keep asking my husband and I if I'm pregnant!!! Maybe that explains the 4 pound weight gain too! ;) (Whew--I don't think I'm quite ready to be pregnant--especially after reading Misty's stories!!!)
Libby, the 15-mile walk was a fundraiser for a hospital in La Crosse, WI. I've walked more than that one other time last fall when I walked in the Des Moines marathon. I find it's easier for me to exercise if I have something to train for. So, I was walking very frequently to train. Now I have to find a new goal!
Aren't sizes just crazy though? I mean, I have one pair of jeans that fits that a 16 and another pair that fits that is a size 10. I find it so annoying.

Hi Stephanie--
About that 15-mile walk; good job! :) Sounds like it was hard to me. I'm sure you were dehydrated, just as you've said. It's also a possibility that you were a little low on electrolytes, which is a common problem for those who participate in marathons. A good source of electrolytes on the go is Powerade or Gatorade. If anything, I suggest you get some information on hydration from an official source regarding marathons for the next time, just so you can avoid getting too little or too much. No need fainting, right? ;) I wish you luck on accomplishing your new goal! I think it's cool you did the 15 miles. I've never done a serious marathon-- maybe I should look into something like that. Is it fun?

Hi, all.... I'm still here, just not HERE as much. ;)
Steph-- be careful! That fainting thing sounds scarey, but, I also tend to think you were probably dehydrated.
I'm working a different schedule this week and dealing with a two year-old who has decided that she does not want to sleep in her room... which means that nobody is getting much sleep! Oh well, tonight DH is home so maybe things will go better. Sometimes having both of us around helps a lot.
Have a great week everyone!

Amy-I can totally relate..My 2 year old wants to lay down with mommy and daddy all the time. We have had to let her cry some here lately. Hang in there! It will get better. We are going through the potty training phase right now...my gosh is it hard!

Hello girls! I've been gone so long I feel so out of the loop! Welcome everyone that is new, it is GREAT to have you here!
I am still adjusting to the school bit. Starting school fulltime at 31 has really been a HUGE wake up call! LOL I am loving it, my days are just so full and go sooooo fast! I am not on the computer much at all anymore, I am usually reading or doing stuff for my art class.
I am still on program! What is this now, week 14, 15? I've lost track! I weighed in Sunday morning because *gasp* I forgot to on Saturday! I have somehow turned away from being obsessed with the scale! But, I did lose another two pounds, which makes me one more pound from the 40 mark!!!!!! WOOHOOO! I'm so excited and I just can't hide it! My back pack weighs 37.5 pounds, everytime I take it off it is a reminder of what I used to carry around all the time. VERY COOL. Some changes that I have noticed: my pants are getting even more baggy, already down a size and a half! MY BRA'S ARE TOO BIG! There is now empty space in the cups and I am on the 1st set of hooks instead of the last! I am hoping to buy a new bra this weekend!
I am still getting up at 4:30 am everyday to do my paper routes, there are lots of stairs at most of the houses I deliver too, so it's a great workout!
I have also noticed a slight change in the size of my ankles!
Well, I need to go, I just wanted to update everyone and let you know that I am still here even tho not as often as I like! I miss you guys!
Ok, here's my food for the day....haven't posted this in awhile, but it feels good when I do, so here it goes!

I'm just weighing-in here. I lost about 1.5 pounds, though my slider rounded off to 2. I had some trouble this week staying on track with the food, so I'm going to try and remedy that today by making sure I have enough variety. Working out is going well, so I'm not quite as worried about that. I feel kind of bad though, because it could have been more than 2 pounds but I ate a lot over the weekend. Anyway, I'm starting a whole new week now, so I'll get back on track!

Hello sistas! Like Lisa, I must apologize for my lack of posting the last week- School started- yay! It is going really well- my students are great kids- though terrible writers (but I'll change that!) My thesis director calmed me down about the thesis- piece of cake! The rest of this should go so well! And comps are coming- I have a meeting with the chair of my AM comp committee this morning- eek! So I've been busy, busy, busy...
I am still OP, though! And I've lost a bit more- I think I'm at 26?
libbysmom- I had to admit the same thing about my size a while back- I had been buying (and stuffing myself into) 14s and they were not my size. I started wearing 16s and then- lo and behold!- they became too big. Now I am wearing some 16s and some 14s. You'll get in (and out) of those 16s too- believe me, if I can do it... geez, anyone can... I'm losing about 2 pounds per week some weeks, usually 1- it frustrated me for a good while, but I've gotten used to it and now that I can see a visible difference, I don't mind the slow pace so much. Keep faith!
OK, I'm off to school- I'll try to check in later- hello to everyone- there are some of you here I don't know yet! Welcome! I promise to be a better poster starting today!!

Good morning girls! I am happy to report I lost a lb (the one I keep gaining and losing) but TOM is almost at an end. I will not be hitting my goal for friday but anything better than 200 is a goal for me. It sounds like everyone is busy with school! Good luck with the programs and hang in there! Have a great week and I will chk in later!

Hey Sistas! HAPPY TUESDAY!
Lori-Thank you for the pep talk...I really appreciate it. I want this worse than I have wanted anything in my life. I will not quit...I will work hard...and I will win this battle! I am a very competative person having played a collegiate sport and decided to look at this as a competition. ME vs MY WEIGHT and I am the home team. I will not lose again...I just won't.
GREAT JOB IZZYWAS, MINK, LORI, AND KELLYJO! I JOINED YOU IN LOSING THIS WEEK WITH A -1.8. LOOKS LIKE THE SISTAS ARE ROCKING AND ROLLING!
Had a pretty good day yesterday until dinner. Overate a bit but put down my pts for it. I weigh in again on Sat. and am really pushing myself to get 2 lbs down.
Hope you all have a great day!

Hi all!
Lisa and Lori I was just thinking of you gurls! I am so happy to hear that you are still working the program even with thos ecrazy busy schedules you have. Great Job!! :cb: :cheer:
Wow we have so many people losing this week!! That is awesome!!!!! Great work everyone!!!
So I left my laptop on my couch while I ran to answer my phone. kids dropped it smashed teh screen. That ticked me off. I am so angry with myself, I knew better than to leave it there. I figured two seconds while I ran to get the phone wouldn't hurt. Wrong. So now I have nothing to do while on the treadmill. So I did not workout yesterday. Plus, I ate a bowl of icecream, while lamenting the loss on my friend the laptop. Real icecream, peanutbetter fudge icecream. A HUGE bowl of it. Hopefully it can be fixed but it may cost me $300 which I do not have. At my current rate of $3 an hour that's alot fo babysitting!
So I was angry with myself for not working out. So I did both today's and yesterday's workout this afternoon. Each of my current workouts is only about 30 minutes so it was only an hour total, but I feel much better.
Totally off topic, but how exactly does the whole potty training thing work? As long as I put my daughter on the potty she will stay dry for the most part. But she has no clue when she has to pee, until she does then she stands in the puddle and says "Mommy I peed" Uh yeah no kidding! I figure she's not ready b/c me putting her on teh potty every half an hour is me being "put the kid on the potty" trained not really her being potty trained. With a 1 year old, 2 two year olds and a 4 year old sometimes I forget when our half an hour is up until I am scrubbing up yet another puddle.
Ok I have to go sit with the kids so they fall alseep. My kids go right to sleep, I lay them down they go to sleep. The kids I watch on the other hand have some rough days. This being one of them. I am hoping they fall alseep so I can shower. Otherwise I am going to my meeting tonight smelling of not one but two workouts. LOL.

Lori & Lisa--I'm so glad that you checked in and are both doing well. I was close to your neck of the woods last week. DH and I drove through I90 to get to Wisconsin. We went up I35 to Albert Lea, and then eastward.
Good job, Mink!

Ok, I really don't have time to post right now, but I wanted to tell you this:
For lunch, I was going to have this lean cuisine salisbury steak and mac&cheese for 6 points. I don't really like the LCs, to tell you the truth, I think they're kind of small. But anyway, so I open the freezer and I see this banquet tv dinner in there from my dad (bless his heart, brought over some groceries a while back for us)- Chicken w/stuffing and gravy- YUM! And bigger... so I checked the points on it and it was- drumroll please- 6 points!
So, yum! I'm thrilled. Plus, I have a feeling these banquet dinners are cheaper than the LCs, so I'll be buying this again!

Misty-As for the potty training...Libby (my daughter) will go all day at school until late afternoon without having an accident...now at home I will ask her over and over again and she says no and then boom...there it is down her leg and I hear the same thing "Mommy I tee teed in my panties." Then she cries and I have to let her know that it is ok and that she is trying hard. She must be learning though about holding it b/c we went to Walmart the other day with Big Girl panties on and were gone for like 3 1/2 hrs running other errands and she did not go...then she got excited outside and went. She has these Dora the Explorer panties and gets so upset to get the wet...does your daughter have a certain character she likes? Maybe try that and see how she reacts to getting them wet. We have a ways to go...but she is getting there.
SORRY TO GET OT!! I'm also so sorry about your laptop...I know you had to be just crushed. Hope it isn't 300.00 to fix. Great job on making up your execise!!
Steph-I played at UT Chattanooga-I was a catcher :)
Lori-Good to know about the Banquet Dinners..they look a heck of a lot better!!

Marcie, that's very cool that we were both softballers!! I miss it! Some of my best friends were teammates of mine.
Misty, I missed your post before. That sucks so much about your laptop. I'd cry for sure! Do you have another computer that you're using?
I just returned from the grocery store, and I bought a ton of "good for me" food. I'm going to try to plan out my days ahead of time to help me stay on points. Wish me luck!

Oh, I forgot to mention something--one of my co-workers and her husband also go to WW. Well, as of last night, her husband has officially lost 100 pounds! Can you believe it! I think it's absolutely amazing! She has lost almost 70 pounds. It just shows that it is truly possible!

Good morning ladies. I am down a pounds this week. I went on a total binge last night. I can't even remember all teh random crap I ate, gummy somethings, icecream, cereal, texas cheeseburger just weird unrelated eating for the sake of eating.
But I am back on track today and committed to working the program. I hit the 15 pounds mark last night and got my little gold star. I stuck it on an index card and hung it on my fridge along with my other WW awards and some inspirational stickers the leader gave out. I sat down this morning and though about how much I have done, what I need to do and where I want to be. My new motto is Live it to Be it. I am a thin healthy person, I'm just stuck under all this weight. So I will eat, live and exercise like a thin, healthy person. The program works I just have to work it.
Stephanie- I watched most of the biggest loser, then flipped back and forth b/c House is one of my favorites and I couldn't miss that. I had just recently gotten my laptop, I still have my good old desk top. But to use it I have to be in my office which with 4 kids is not always a thing I can do. Congrats to your co-worker and her husband! That is fabulous! Sometimes it seems so daunting to reach that goal so far far away, but when you hear about people who are actually doing it helps so much! I like Biggest Loser and all and willw atch it faithfully I am sure, but seriously you can't lose 28 pounds in a week in the real world. So It's great to hear about people who are plugging away and dropping the weight one pound at a time!
Lizzy-glad to hear you are doing well! Great job on the workout!!! How is your knee?
Marcie thanks for the advice! Audrianna is big into princesses (figures since I am so not a girly girl), so she has princess panties, and puppy panties b/c she's big into animals too. I guess we just keep plugging away. I got a kitchen timer so I remember to put her on the potty LOL.
Lori-sometimes we can get the Bnaquet meals on sale for 99 cents each!! Only some of them are low in points though and the sodium is high (but so are all frozen dinners). I haven't had them in a while, I had actually kind of forgot about them LOL. Thanks for mentioning them, I'll have to get some again!
Well I am off to exercise. Is anybody able to get in 28 activity points for the week? I am currently around 10. I really wouls be hard pressed to find another 30 minutes a day to exercise, but I am gonna try.
have a great day all!!

Ok yeah so I am making spaghetti sauce to can. I have in my HUGE stainless steel pot 6 cups of chopped onion, 12 cloves of minced garlic and 1/2 cup of olive oil. I am supposed to saute the onions and garlic. So they are cooking away, I go in to stir them and they smell weird. I check them they are green. Serisouly! A light shade of mint really. HOW THE HECK DOES THIS STUFF HAPPEN TO ME? It's sauteing onions and garlic for goodness sake. It's not that hard. It's EASIER than boxed mac and cheese. They were fresh onions and garlic I just bought them.
Good grief. Now I have 45 pounds of tomatoes sitting here all cut up and I am out of olive oil. Just thought it was rather funny and had to share it. It just tops my day.
The kids are being so naughty. We have a rule, when they fight over a toy they lose it. I guess the vast majority of toys will be up on my pool table by the end of the day. I am trying so very hard not to continue my binge from yesterday. I did have some of my V8 like drink I canned, it was super yummy :)
Well have a great day all.

That is so cool about your co worker losing 100 pounds. It gives me hope! WW does work! You are so right we just have to keep on plugging along. When we get frustrated just think what is our alternative......

Hello hello! Just checking in! :D Sorry I haven't been as communicative as I have been in the past. Here's how school's going: AAAAAAAAAAA. Lol. No, I'm fine. Just trying to recover. ;)
I had my carpet cleaned today (I had a free cleaning as a reward for renewing my lease early), and my poor cat has been stuck in the bathroom all day. Well, I came home from school about twenty minutes ago and the carpet's still damp. So...I'm sitting here watching Comedy Central while trying so hard not to give in to the wailing behind the bathroom door. I sneaked into the bathroom as soon as I got home so that I could snuggle with her. I'm not sure if that was a mistake or not. Would it have been worse to let her just hear me in the apartment and wonder why I'm ignoring her? I dunno. Maybe it would have been harder on me, lol.
Gah. I'm becoming a cat lady!!
I don't really have anything else that's interesting or important to report on. Wish I did. Blah.
Hope everyone's doing well! Misty, I hope your daughter's potty-training goes better. Then again, it could be going along just fine...I dunno...I don't have kids yet. :) Sorry I can't be much help!
Have a great evening everyone!
~Amanda
Oh, P.S.! Duh! I wanted to say that I saw The Biggest Loser last night, and I already love the new teams! I'm so excited for this season and I think it's brilliant that they're analyzing body weight/fat percentage because that was my main concern when I heard they were pitting men against women. All I could think was, "But men metabolize fat faster than women!!!" Which we clearly saw in the pound losses last night, but the women ended up losing more percentage (even with a five-pound penalty!! YAY!), so I'm definitely more psyched now! :D Can't wait for next week!!

Amanda you crack me up!!! Need a couple more cats? Mine are shredding my couch! Ok so not a great selling point, no wonder I am not a car dealer. Oh well couldn't part with them anyway they are my little buddies. Now the horses....that is another story. What does one do with two 3 year old stallions who know NOTHING?
So anyway I just did 45 minutes on the treadmill. Fun, Fun.
Well that's about it fo rme. Life here is pretty dull. I am in the midst of canning spaghetti sauce, which I must say I will NEVER do again. So haev a rgeat day everyone!!

Do you ever feel like you shot yourself in the foot! I was so pumped to wake up early and exercise this morning. Well, when 5:45 came around, my bed was far too comfortable! I decided to skip exercising. Then, I ate a healthy breakfast, but I come to work and I still eat a Skotcheroo. (Do you know what I'm talking about--they're soooo good!) I have no clue how many points they are, but I'm guessing at least 10!!
Now I'm feeling incredibly guilty for not exercising and then having dessert at 8:15! I wish the guilty would prevent me from doing it again, but I know that it won't.

Hey Sistas! Happy Thursday! :sunny:
Wasn't around yesterday to chat...had a lot going on at work. BUT I started off the day horribly. I ate a high point breakfast and then it all went down hill UNTIL I got back under control at lunch and ended the day right on track not using any of my flex points or my activity points. I am so proud of myself for not just saying "screw it...I'll start over tomorrow." This was a huge huge accomplishment for me! So I am feeling good today and passed up a Wendy's lunch b/c I wanted to be in total control and I can do that when I stick to what I brought for lunch.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Biggest Loser! I am so excited it is back..I just can't believe that they lost so much weight the first week. WOW! I guess if that is all you did all day then maybe that works. I wish we knew a little more about what they were eating. I am sure they will tell us soon enough. :D
Steph-I don't know what that is that you ate..but it sounds interesting! Don't beat yourself up...you can still save the day and maybe exercise later?? That is cool that we are both softballers...I don't miss it though. I had a miserable experience. Infact when I finished my last practice, I swore my daughter would never pick up a ball as long as she was in my house. Terrible huh? I used to love the game...but some jack **s took that from me. ANOTHER STORY FOR ANOTHER DAY! Hope the planning goes well for you this week! Great job! Oh! and what an inspiration about your co-workers!
Misty-Don't worry about your binge-we all have moments like that...great job on your exercising..keep up the great work! Oh and I usually get in 24 activity pts in a week...but I have no desire to get 28 hee hee
Amanda-Glad school is going well for you and that you have clean carpets. I know how you feel about your cat-you don't want them to think you are ignoring them. I have a cat that I have had since college and she is spoiled rotten. :o
Well 2 more days till weigh in again. I am so hoping for 2 lbs...that would be so great. I just don't want to get down about it so I won't get my hopes up! Hope you all are having a great day!! :grouphug:

Hi all!
Ok Marcie so how do you do it b/c I am killing myself lol. I get 1 point for every 15 minutes of moderate exercise. I have a hard time judging intensity. To me it feels like I am somewhere between moderate and high. Certainly, I am not competative running or swimming so I know it's not high, but to me it feels a bit more exerting than a brisk walk. Great job on finishing your day well! It's so ahr dto to just say screw it for the day. I'll ahve to think of you and how you came out balanced at teh end of teh day next time I am faced with that...which is often LOL!
Are skotcheroos those butterscotch brownies? I know I have had them before but it's been a super long time. If someone else made them you could always ask for the recipe and calculate the points LOL :) I bet it wasn't nearly as bad as you thought, Stephanie.
Have a great day everyone!

Misty-I push myself so hard the entire time...I have been running 3 min then walk 3 min for 20-30 min..then I do the ellipitical for 15 min. or bike and I just push to the point where I am drowning in sweat. I also weight train 3 days a week. I feel like I should get 4 pts a day for that. Now I may be wrong...I haven't gotten to the activity points yet in my meeting but I have been counting them b/c I am working my booty off (i wish literally hee hee). I think I read on the thread you had posted on the WW General that one person did WATP and got the 4 pts....are you familiar with those? Are they about the same intensity as what you do? It sounds to me like you are pushing yourself pretty good. Like I said I may be all wrong about this...but that is what I have been doing. Now if I do not lose Sat. I may need to re-evaluate things.

Thanks Marcie!!!!
Weird thing...
I am always putting my hands on my hips when I am in stern mommy mode. Well today when I did it my side just unde rmy ribs felt weird. That's b/c there is less fat there. This is gross but instead of being a roll that folds over there is just a bump. Something is working. Just kind of weirded me out. It's teh first real change to my body I have notcied other than my reduction to one chin LOL.
Well time for some tv. The OC is on. Or at least I think it is...is it Thursday? Good Grief I don't even know what day it is. Sad to say I am addicted to that show and DH made me miis last week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Misty-I think it is awesome that you felt that...these are little things that keep us going. I have noticed some of that myself. I have been wearing the same jeans every Friday b/c I am going to wear them until they fall off. They were tight when I first started wearing them and each week they get a little looser...what a great feeling huh? I too love love love the OC but keep missing it. I hate that. I haven't seen it yet this year. I'll have to get caught up.
Had a great day yesterday...I am making milestones each day. Something difficult I overcome or something I have never been able to do. I am really proud of myself to sticking with this. Last time I did WW I stuck with it 50% for about 4 weeks and didn't lose and gave up. This is the first time since 1998 that I have actually stuck to a way of life and it feels great. I think I will see good things tomorrow at weigh in. I hope so anyway. I am doing WW with a girl I work with and it has helped so much. We are both working hard at it. OK...sorry to go on...I just know you Sistas understand where I am coming from!
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Oooooh, happy friday indeed!!! Sleepy me, I have been having such a hard time getting out of bed in the morning- today I had to rush and forgot DS's lunchbox in the fridge! So now I have to drive back to the school...
Did I mention to you all that my son started Kindergarten this year? Yup- this is the second week, and I am a proud, proud momma. He's so grown up!! And yet, such a little guy all at the same time. He loves it, though, and has made many new friends already. My, my- I wish I was in Kindergarten instead of preparing for my comps...
What else? Lisa and I went to Panera Bread yesterday for dinner (Byron had a little award from the library reading program for a free kids meal) and it was GREAT! Neither of us had much to eat all day (busy, busy- had to go buy new bras at Lane Bryant b/c ours are getting too big- yay!) so we had plenty of points to use. We went on Dotti's site and found the point values- french onion soup is only 5 points, and I had a smokehouse turkey panini on three cheese bread for only 14.5! SO it was a large high point meal, but we still made it in OP. Yippeee! Love it when we can go "normal" places. We're really getting the hang of this- figuring out that we can have those kinds of things, just in moderation.
OK, I have to get my tired butt moving- I have an office hour at 9 and I think I'll be skipping it... As long as I get to campus by 10 to teach, I should be fine... Have a good day all!

Oh! I forgot to post this- If you want to see pics of my dear little kindergartener from his first day of school, check out my (not so thrilling) website at http://mavdisk.mnsu.edu/holicl1/ There is a link at the bottom of the page to see pics of Byron... What a doll, and what a crazy momma I am!

Lori,
He's adorable. I can understand why you are so proud of him. Like the saying goes "they do grow up fast!"

Misty-I saw on another thread where you were asking about the exercise pts and I wanted to tell you about an interesting conversation I had yesterday with my trainer and about a post I read about exercising time-I read that once you go over 60 min of cardio you are starting to burn muscle. I asked my trainer about it last night and he said yes that is true, but if you split it up you could do more than 60 min a day..like 45 min in morning and 45 in evening. I had always heard the more the better, but I guess if it would get into burning muscle that would be bad. Also..I go tomorrow to get my exercise slider and I will ask about how many pts you can earn and eat. That is a very good question. You are doing so awesome SISTA...KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!!

Marice_thanks that is some good information!! I am gonna go back to my regular workouts I think. I am killing myself. I could do it and I am breaking it up 45 and 45, or 20, 45 and 25 but I am worn out. I can barley stand to put on my shoes my ankles hurt so bad. I am way over doing it.
So anyway, I am decided at this very last minute to go visit my best freind. I am going tonight and leaving the kids with Josh. I need a break. I had words with him last night (more at him really) and I am burnt out and need a break. But I am having this weird stressed out wanting to eat just to eat sort of moment. Much like I did Tuesday. I am worried once I get to my friends' house I am gonna let all my hard owrk go and say screw this week. It does help that I have little money so I can't really eat out or anything.
Wish em luck. Kids are wound for sound today I think I need to get abck into the kitchen and see exactly what they are doing byes

Yes, happy Friday, everybody!!! Doesn't it feel great to know that the weekend is almost here!!?!!
Misty, I hope you thoroughly enjoy visiting your friend. It sounds like you need a break. Does your friend know that you are doing Weight Watchers? Maybe he/she could help you! And good for you on the non-scale victory!
I highly recommend the Strawberry Poppyseed Salad at Panera Bread. It's sooo good, and it's only like 4 points. It's seriously amazing!
Lori, your son is so cute! How did mom take his first day of kindergarten???
I'm weighing in tomorrow morning. Wish me luck!

Its Friday Its Friday Its Friday
Lori I tried e-mailing Byron a note but wouldn't take it. Wanted to send him well wishes!
I too have stepped up my exercise. Riding my recumbent stationary bike six miles a day and today I walked two miles it feels good!
Strawberry salad at Paneras sounds wonderful. Has anyone had the talipia at Applebees it is only six points and it really is good. Nice to have something out once in awhile!
Misty have fun at your friends and like someone said get your friends support make sure they are aware of your WW struggle and ask them to help you!!! We need all the people in our corner we can get. Just read somewhere if your friend is not supporting the weight loss hang out with different people. For me that is true. There are some I need to avoid until I get this under control......

Thanks guys! I feel better. I didn't get my exercise in yet today, not sure I will DH wants the house clean before I leave. And the laundry done...only like 3 more loads to go! I think carrying laundry up and down my stairs should count as some exercise...I live in a 100 some year old farm house. It has what my best friend calls widow maker stairs LOL.
I am hoping if we do go out to eat I can look at the menu ahead of time. My best friend is ify on the support of my weightloss. I think sometimes she gets tired of me with my plans and such b/c I have been trying off and on since we were roommates in college. Plus, in some ways I think she doesn't want me to be as thin or thinner than she is. She of course would never SAY that, but we've been best friends since we were 8. After 20 years I am pretty sure I know what she is thinking LOL. We've grown apart in the last couple years. I mean we're still best friend's but living two hours apart with husband's and kids the dynamics have changed. We don't really have the same goals and priniples. But she is really my only friend. I have a neighbor I chat with and hang out with on occasion, my sister now lives in NC and of course you guys. That's about it. I didn't really make any friends at my last job b/c I was an itinterant teacher, different houses or schools throughout the day and I was only there a half an hour to two hours a couple times a week. Not really a way to start relationships. That's part of the reson I haven;t been successful until recently. I had no social outlet. We live across teh road from my inlaws. DH has his family right here, he helps his dad and hangs out at thier house. He has work friends. And I sit at home alone with my box of icecream.
So anyway, though in some ways I shouldn't hang out with my best friend as much, being at her hous eis often NOT relaxing. In other ways it's my only choice. I was going to go up and just do stuff on my own, but I know I would be bored in about 10 minutes b/c I have nothing to do or shop for. I fI had something I needed or some money to shop with I could spend the day on my own. Right now I just want to not be staring at this house. I will probably miss dinner tonight since I won't get there until 8 or 9 by the time DH gets home. So I don't have to worry about that. So mostly if I can get through breakfast and lunch tomarrow. I have 29 flex and like 12 AP, so I should be ok. I will take splenda and my trusty liter Evian bottle I refill LOL that way I can have my decaf coffee and my water. I can do this!
Have a fabulous weekend everyone!!!! Good luck to all of you Saturday weighers! You've all doen a great job this week! Thansk for all the support!

Misty, I can empathize with your situation. DH and I moved here about 2 years ago (before we were married, actually). I seriously have NO friends here! The ladies at work are nice, but we don't do anything outside of work. My husband has met people through his work, but it's guys, and all they basically do is play poker. When he's with the guys or has to work a night, then I sit home and mope. I can't think of a thing to do to keep myself entertained, and then that makes me feel like a loser! I hope things go well with visiting your friend. Just remember that we'll be thinking about you, and hoping your weekend is going well.

Misty-Good luck this weekend...YOU CAN DO THIS! I can totally relate to you on having only one friend. We just moved to LA from Alabama and had to leave all my friends. My family is in TN...so I have no one. DH's family is in AL. I have made friends with some neighbors but no one really close. It can be really tough. Some days all I feel like is Wife to DH and Mom to DD...that is my only role in life. You have to have some kind of outlet or we will drive ourselves crazy. I hope that your friend will be supportive of you this weekend. I know you can do well with this. Oh and as for the exercise..I'm glad you decided to cut back a bit..you will be burned out before you know it if not. I think I am going to cut back to 5 days a week b/c I am getting burned out already after 8 weeks. Be safe and have fun!
