Default Emergency question for Melissa

Before I lose this tune in my head ... can you ask Aaron if there are websites where I can download blank sheet music? I've looked and can't find anything.

HURRY! (But I know you're at church so you get some slack for the time being. I've written it down the best I can for now.)

Kathy, I'm not Melissa, but I have the answer.

Try here for lots of choices:

http://www.lib.virginia.edu/dmmc/Music/Musicpaper/

or here for a basic sheet:

Good luck!

Kathy, I'm so sorry, I just saw your message! I hope that Angela's suggestions worked for you!
Aaron does not write sheet music! He just "writes" the music on his guitar, if you know what I mean. He doesn't read music very well! Isn't that funny. I'm so sorry!

No, really, it's okay! I was able to print out some of those that Angela linked to, and can write it out tomorrow. Meanwhile, I have written a 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 thing on my paper and have mapped out the tune that way.

Sheesh, it's a lot of trouble to be this inspired!

Melissa, what is it with guitar players anyway? My teacher doesn't read music well either - I'm way better at it than him. Of course, I have been reading music since I was 3, on at least 5 different instruments, so I guess I have a leg up. Can Aaron read tabulature, or does he play everything by ear?

I agree - Kathy should share her tune. It can become our Core Ladies theme song.

Nighty night all!

Angela, I have no idea what "tabulature" means, but if that is chords, he can do that. I'll have to ask him when I get home. He was a music minor in college, so he has a basic idea of reading music, but has just never really "practiced" what he learned I guess. He writes almost everything he plays, so he doesn't really need to read music I guess. He does get chord charts for choruses and things like that though. You can tell I have no idea what I am talking about. My music-reading goes as far as choir and piano lessons.

Tabulature is written kind of like music - there are six lines representing the six strings on a guitar. Then there are numbers on those lines, showing you when and on which fret to put your fingers. It's kind of like a map to where and when you put your fingers.

Anyway, I was just curious. I'm learning to read tabulature, and I'm finding it doesn't come very naturally to me.
