Hey, ladies!! I read the thread about making changes to our posting methods, so I hope it's okay if we start a weekly thread plus post other exciting topics on individual threads. Today is Sunday, so I thought we might as well get started for the week!
:ebike: :ebike: :ebike: :ebike: :ebike:
I hope everyone is in the midst of enjoying a wonderful weekend. I went on a long walk (2 hours) by myself this morning. I found a new trail in town, so I explored that. It was so much fun to be walking so close to home, yet not have a clue where I'll end up at. I think if I follow the trail far enough, that it would take me all the way to campus, where I work, but I think it would probably be another 5 or so miles away.
Maggie, I was thinking about you while I was on my walk. Have you considered going to TOPS? My mom use to belong when I was little. It's a ton cheaper than WW, yet you still have to weigh in once per week. I think if I weren't doing WW, then I'd do this. I'm much better having to face that lady at the scale each week. If I don't have to own up to someone, then I tend to put my diet off until tomorrow. There website is www.tops.org. I hope there is one in your area.
Amanda, Congratulations on entering One-Derland!! Good for you!!
Take care, and I have a good week!! Stephanie
P.S. I'm changing my signature to reflect my WW weigh-in rather than my scale. It puts me up a few pounds, but no worries!!

I forgot to add something--
I read somewhere that it may be easier to start your points with the largest meal of the day. For example, my supper is my largest, so my daily points allowance would be from 5:00pm Monday to 5:00pm on Tuesday (rather than from the time I wake up on Monday to the time I go to sleep Monday night. I don't know if I could change my mind frame to alter my points, but I thought I'd mention it to you all.
08-28-2005, 08:36 PM
Hello everybody! I wish my life would slow down a bit so I could get on here and read/post more often, I miss you guys! :grouphug:
This week/weekend has been a whirlwind! I did get all registered for classes, bought my books ( $289~yikes!) I had my last full day of work Friday :cb: :cb: :cb: , it was beyond busy! Then we had a house guest Friday night and then another one Saturday night! Today Lori has been visiting her brother in treatment, and Byron went with me up to campus to find where my classes are at.Then we went to the store and bought myself a backpack! I got one on clearence for $4.99! :hyper: Then I spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning out my fish tank, that turned out to be a very HUGE job. Byron and I just finished dinner...oh while I'm on the subject of food, here's my food journal for the day.
1% milk 2p
S-FF capucinno 4p
Jr. hamburger :burger: 6p
small fry 5p
WATER ZERO, I resisted having a coke
D-BBQ chicken breast 5p
Potato, sliced, sprayed w/ butter spray,seasonings-then wrapped in foil and threw it on Grill 2p
Fresh green beans ZERO
1% milk 2p
Ok, well now I need to get going. Still need to look at the bus schedule for the morning(first class at 8am!!!!!!), pack my lunch and snack, figure out what I'm going to wear tomorrow and then do my best not to get nervous about first day of school! :yikes: LOL
I will check in and report tomorrow afternoon!
08-28-2005, 09:23 PM
Best of luck tomorrow, Lisa!
I just did a weird thing. I was sooooo craving KFC, chicken, biscuit, fixings, etc. Got in my car. Practically salivating the whole time. Drove about four blocks and came back home. Mainly because I had a feeling Da Man was going to call and I didn't want to miss it, but partly because I started feeling like it just wasn't worth it. That felt good. I got home and within 30 seconds the phone was ringing btw! Yea, it was my honey bunny.
Oh, Steph, thanks for the info on TOPS. I looked at the Web site, and there is a meeting near me. I'm thinking about going. Thank you again.
08-29-2005, 02:03 AM
*giggles* I love it, Maggie! That's a hilarious and wonderful all at the same time. :) Congrats on making the better decision! ;)
Okay, really...I'm going to bed now.
08-29-2005, 07:37 AM
Why am I up at 6 am? I am sooooo going back to bed!!
Well I survived my son's first brithday party. I made stromboli from scratch. 2 regular and one points frendlier one. I was able to cut the points from almost 11 points per slice to 5. It was my grand experiment. It certainly wasn't as insanley deliscious good. But it allowed me to eat two slices with using almost an entire days worth of points. I will probably make it again.
I did well points wise but I slacked off on water and ate alot of salty stuff. BTW the new LIGHT Doritos are wonderful!!!! Not the baked (which I like too) these are light YUMM-O. Plus it TOM. SO not sure if I will make it to Onederland this week or not.
It was a long rough weekend. Thursday was horrible. Friday wasn't too bad, my brothers and sisters were pretty good. The oldest is 13 and he can sometimes get violent, but it was a calm happy day. I didn't even have to yell. Then we unexpectedly went car shopping. I fell IN LOVE with a buick terraza...it's a mini van of all things. I swore I would never drive a minivan. I teased my best friend relentlessly b/c she bought one LOL. But I admit her was nice. We drove it Saturday....NOTE TO SELF: DO NOT GO CAR SHOPPING WITH TWO KIDS!!!! Yeah so not fun. But we really liked it and my husband is willing to put off replacing his truck. So I guess we are gonna call the guy and see if we can make the numbers match up. I hope it goes well. My husband would rather not trade in my tracker and just let his sister take over our payments as her car is really really bad. I have no problem with that as long as she pays us!! She probably wouldn't qualify for a very good loan right now b/c she just bought a house a few weeks ago. But I think as a single woman living alone she needs a sounds reliable car. So I hope we get approved for the loan on the van even though we will still technically have a laon on the tracker.
Maggie-YOU CRACK ME UP!!!!!! That's so awesome though! I am so proud of you!!!! OH YEAH, you DON'T suck!
Lisa-Good luckk today! You are gonna do great!!!! I am so happy and excited for my stomach feels all fluttery, can't imagine what you feel like. It will one of the best choices you ever made!! YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!
Stephanie-I kind of like that points idea. I am always worried about whay I eat ealier in the day b/c I want to ensure that I have enough points to feel satisfied at dinner. If I did it the other way I could eat at dinner and then just do lunch and berakfast the next day on what was left. It would be hard to change my mind set like that, but certainly something to consider.
Well everyone have a great day. As of 10 pm last night I am only getting one kid today, so unless things changed between now and then it should be a fairly easy day. My son got a thing with two tents and a tunnel that connect them for his birthday (people must think I have a HUGE house for all this stuff), anyway I'll see if I can squeeze that into the livingroom and probably that will entertain the three kids all day.!!!
Again I ask why am I up at 6 am? It's 6:35 and they still aren't here  Oh well! How many other people get paid to sleep on the couch? All be it it's $2 an hour, but still LOL. Ok have a fabulous day everyone!!!
08-29-2005, 03:51 PM
I am so bored! LOL. Want to know how bored I am? I am sitting here smelling my shirt contemplating the fragrance of my new laundry soap.
08-29-2005, 05:08 PM
I am so bored! LOL. Want to know how bored I am? I am sitting here smelling my shirt contemplating the fragrance of my new laundry soap.

Misty, you are hilarious! I wish I could help you with your boredom- feel like taking a flight to MN to kick my butt into gear on this thesis, and force me into a workout while you're here?
Yeah, ok- I'll go get to work now and stop procrastinating! I'd rather smell laundry soap!
08-29-2005, 05:13 PM
Hey, why aren't my smily guys rolling on the floor?? I didn't mean to make it look like you had killed me with your comment!! Now they just look like dead smileys (oh, c'mon, we've all wanted to punch a smiley at least once, no? ) but at least they died happy, from the looks of it. Hey Mag- any ideas what those smileys were doing when they died? :p
I guess you can kill a smiley, but you can't wipe that smile off his face.
*sigh* Back to work, really. :(
08-29-2005, 05:40 PM
OMG LORI YOU CRACK ME UP!!! Someone must have given your smiley's a kick start, maybe they just passed out for a bit b/c they are rolling now.
08-29-2005, 09:02 PM
I actually got up and exercised today! woohoo :) But I really messed up my knee last night - it must have been when I was sleeping. I was in an odd position due to the Bean (Cocoa - our dog:)) he wouldn't move. LOL you think I could move him, considering he's only 9.2 lbs, but hes like dead weight when he's asleep and I was too tired to mess with it. So yeah, my knee has been hurting all day, I was just careful when I exercised, and skipped walking at lunch.
I went over my points yesterday, so that kind of sucked, but I'm trying to do better today. Switching to the lower points range has been a challenge. Its only 2 pts, but it seems like more than that.
Great Job Maggie!! For skipping KFC!!
Stephanie - I was talking about you at work today, and how you do the points, and we both thought it was a good idea, but LOL for me, I'd get to confused :dizzy: but then I get confused easily. But I think my co worker may give it a try.
Hope everyone has a great week!! I gotta get going, I want to watch my hottie Joey Harrington, QB for the Detroit Lions.
08-29-2005, 11:01 PM
LMAO...Lori...you are HILARIOUS. I'm in a similar boat, just change the word from "thesis" to "comps reading list," and you've got me right down to a T. Lol. I just don't want to read any more. Though I still have a pretty hefty list staring at me. I feel like digging my heels into the ground and shouting, "NO! September go away!!" Lol. Exams are October 24-25...will I even finish my list before the test?? Lol. Yeah.
Hope you're doing well with your thesis!!
08-30-2005, 09:16 AM
I'm gettin' a new car :dancer: Guess we sign the paper work today. I get so nervesou about all that credit stuff LOL. SO Until it's in my drivway I'm not counting on it yet LOL.
Lisa-how was school?
Amanda and Lori-good luck with your comps and thesis.
Well Ladies, my kiddos are waking up. Wish me luck at weigh in today. Not sure I'll see Onederland tonight considering the cupcakes and the pizza and TOM. But Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised, or not. Either way I'm ok.
08-30-2005, 09:24 AM
:goodvibes Good luck with the WI Misty. I'm sending skinny "one-derland" vibes to ya. :goodvibes
08-30-2005, 03:03 PM
Just checking in, gals. Couldn't go to the gym last night because there was a memorial service for our pastor's son at our church. I wanted to be there to support the family, plus Joe and the band played at it.
But I AM going tonight. Going to try to an hour on the treadmill and some swimming.
Misty... best of luck with the car and the WI. I so hope you cross over into one-derland tonight. But if not, you will soon! Best of luck, too, to our academics, whether it's with comps reading or the thesis or whatever. I'm thinking about going back for a masters in theology or something to do with counseling teenagers or nonprofit management. It's so expensive, however. Not something I can pursue right now, but in the future, who knows?
Have a great day everyone. Oh, and blah.... I'm stuck at work with no packed lunch, left my bank card at home, so I ate leftover carrot cake from yesterday. Does that count as a serving of veggies? Does the icing count as dairy? Wait... I think there are.... yes, yes, there are .... raisins! Woo-hoo....a fruit serving! Damn, I'm eatin' healthy. I didn't want to eat it, but my head was splitting from only eating a yogurt today at 9AM. Can't wait to get home and eat dinner!
08-30-2005, 03:43 PM
Misty hope the car is great! It is so fun to get a new vehicle.
Maggie I do some counseling at the local jail. I really like it also.Enjoy the day. My heart is breaking for all the people in the south.

Hey Slimmin Sistas! I just joined WW on Sat. and started on Monday. I would like to lose 67 lbs...but am just focusing on short term right now. I began exercising and working with a trainer 6 weeks ago today...and I haven't lost a lb...so time to take control of the eating part. I am really looking forward to losing this weight and getting healthy for life! I was hoping I could join you guys. I need all of the support I can get. I will be weighing in on Saturday's. I am 29 years old with a DH and a 2 year old DD. I live in Lake Charles, LA and thankfully was missed by the hurricane but my heart hurts for the others. It is truly devistating. We have a friend whose father and grandparents have not been heard from since yesterday morning and at that time they were headed up to their attic b/c the water was rising so quickly in their home. Please keep all of the folks in your thoughts and prayers. Anyway...hope I can join you guys and get to losing!!
08-30-2005, 08:40 PM
:) Hi Marcie & Welcome to the Slimmin Sistas. :)
I was watching coverage from New Orleans & Gulfport on the evening news tonite. I've never seen such devastation as that. I hope your friend's family got to safety OK. Everyone is in my prayers.
The Sistas will keep you on track, that's for sure. When you call for help to stay on the wagon, we'll come & drag you back on it. Kicking & screamin' if necessary.
Have a good evening, we'll talk to you soon.
08-30-2005, 09:18 PM
I am in such a pissy mood! I'm still hungry from dinner, I had a healthy choice pizza thing and it was not worth 6.5 pts at all. I have another one in there, but I will be maxed out on my points if I do, and I'm trying to not eat so much at the high end of my points. My dog is bugging me, he's asked out so many times, and when I take him out he doesn't do anything except find stupid sticks that are 2 times longer than him and carry them around.
I hope everyone is in a much better mood than I am!!
08-30-2005, 10:39 PM
Hmmm...Liz, it sounds like you need a fruit fix! :D You should go to the market and get yourself something delicious and sweet before the season's out. I have stocked my fridge full of pre-sliced apples (yes, I am that lazy, lol), and they are divine! Definitely come in handy when I find myself feeling irritated and pissy. Something about the natural sugars that just pep me up. :) Good luck!
08-31-2005, 08:48 AM
WELCOME, MARCIE!!!!!! I am sooo glad you came to join us! I am also glad to hear you are ok after the devistation that has hit your area. The thoughts and prayers of my entire family are with you and everyone who is being effected by this.
Ok so I didn't make it to Onederland. But serisouly how could I when I ate like 5 cupcakes and three pieces of pizza and who know swhat else yesterday. I said I was ok with it, but had a bit of "Aw who gives a crap" last night and I ate whatever for dinner, plus icecream. I was probably not too bad on points though b/c I ate only some WW toast with some 50% less sugar jelly in the am. I was over but not by more than 30 or LMAO!!!
So anyway, it's a new week. I get a shiney new tracker with all those lovely, unused points. I LOVE WW!!!! When I did the Oprah's bootcamp challenge, you get three days to "cheat". I quickly used up my three days, though I think I made it to almost the end on month one. On that 4th day I had FAILED the challenge. That's it I failed there was no shiney new day. And I just love shiney and new LOL. But with WW each new day I get those new daily points, each new week I get fresh new flex points. It's great!
I just joined a Chirstmas challenge on the Dr. Phil board. I have two friends over there (we're about the only ones there) and we just finished up a summer challenge. Which I didn't meet. Dr. Phil has alot of great ideas, but WW's eating plan is what works for me. But I still try to incorporate Dr. P's keys into my daily thinking.
My goals there were to 1) do my 12 week treadmill workout I found on prevention's site, and 2) lose 20 pounds. Those seem doable.
Maggie-if our leader says Raisinetts count as fruit then Carrot cake counts as fruit AND Veggie LOL!!!!!
Lizzy-Your dog and mine must be related LOL!! Now that I stay home I think he thinks that my purpose in life is to open the door and turn on the water in the tub (Heaven forbid he or my one cat actually drink water that's not so fresh it's still coming out of the tap!). Amanda is right, you need fruit! Oooo fruit that sounds good, maybe I need fruit?
Ok ladies. I think we are finally getting the car tonight. It had two scratches and so they sent it in to get paint. Sheesh! Took me less time to pick the darn thing out!
I'm sitting here staring at the clock until it is time to catch the bus to school. City bus that is...
First day at school on Monday went great. I was very nrevous to say the least. but everything went just fine. I was able to see Lori between my cleasses and we had a picnic lunch together. Yesterday I had no class, but worked a few hours at my old job, soon to be no job. They had a pot luck in honor of me leaving...I did very well, I don't think I over did it at all.
Tomorrow morning I am starting 2 paper routes to help out with money. That will put a whole new spin on my schedule! I'll be getting up at 4:45AM and doing the routes, they have to be done by 6. It's a great way to get a walk in, and I can't just roll over and say not today! Kinda cool to get paid to walk. I hope to keep the routes until at least x-mas break...we'll see. Then I'll need to get a part time job.
Ok, well here's my food so far for the day...

08-31-2005, 09:41 AM
LISA!!!!! I have been wondering how you did. I am sooo glad it went well! The paper route idea is AWESOME!!!!!! Wish we had that around here! Our papers are delivered via car. Hope all goes well today.
I am bouncing off the walls today. Have you ever had a really hyper day? I have all kinds of energy, but absolutley no ambition to clean my house LOL.
Did anybody else get a Quick and Healthy Something or Rather Guide in thier meeting? It's a long single sheet of paper with a plan on each side. We got one last night, I guess it allows you to lower your points target to 20 (but if you are losing too quick or aren't satisfied you can increase your food intake up to your normal points target) for two weeks only, but you have to eat from a list. There is a high carb, and a high protien option depending on which keeps you satisfied. You can follow it either on Flex or on Core. It's for a quick jump start or to give you a shake up if you are having a plateau. I was wondering if anyone got it or if anyone is trying it? I don't have a lot of the stuff on the list b/c it's grocery week. But I thought maybe since I am kind of stuck here at the 200 mark (by my own doing). I would try it the best I could.
Well I am being paged by the morning Raptors....my son and daughter screech at each other every morning (and in the car). They sound like something from Jurasic Park. It's funny...until you have to listen to that for an hour and a half in the confined space of a car.
08-31-2005, 09:54 AM
Yay Lisa! School's fun...I'm so glad you're enjoying it!! :D And a paper route sounds exciting, lol. Yeah...leave it to me to think paper routes are exciting. But I like the notion of being paid to walk. That's awesome!
Misty, I received that thing you're talking about...but I think I got it on my first week. I haven't had a chance to really look at it because I've been trying to get myself into a general routine. Does it look any good? I remember glancing at it on my first day thinking, "Oh my God, this is confusing!" Lol...but I think it was because I was being handed so much information that day, so everything was confusing.
Well, I better go. I'm really cutting it close this morning! Ack! Lol.
Have a great day sistas!
08-31-2005, 11:21 AM
Hey everyone! Thank you for the welcome Kitty and Misty! I am so glad to be here. You all look so supportive! and are doing so well!
Well my evening had a kink thrown into it food wise. I was at the gym watching the coverage of all the damage from the storm and just started crying. I knew I just had to do something. So I went to the Dollar Store and got 75.00 worth of snacks, drinks, and baby items to take to the Civic Center. We have over 2000 evacuees right now staying there that have nothing. Well I dropped it off and then spent from 6:30-10:00 unloading cars that were full of donations. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. My husband works for the news here and they got us dinner at Wendy's. I got a kids meal chicken nugget....so I was kinda mad at myself for just not eating, but I had too...I was starving and sweating to death. I am pretty sure I worked it off though. I need to go and check the points and record it.
Lisa-A paper route-What a great idea! And to get paid to walk woohoo!
Misty-I just love getting a new car! BUT I hate the payment :)
Keep up the great work Sistas!!
08-31-2005, 02:09 PM
Hello all! It's nap time! I wish I could crash too!
Amanda-That paper's not super complicated. You just pick the number of items indicated from each column. Like breakfast is says pick 2, so you pick two things from that column. Lunch has multiple comlumns and you just pick how ever many they tell you to. I think I am gonna try it the best I can. I had to kind of improvise at lunch. It's sort of hard to make a meal with your choices. I added basalmic vinegar, which is 0, so my lunch had some flavor. I chose 1 cup of whole wheat pasta, 2 oz of chicken, 1 cup of broccoli and 2 teaspoons of Olive oil. I cooked it all seperatley and tossed it together with a couple Tbls. of vinegar. Wasn't abnd just kind of weird LOL. But I may not be able to follow it everyday for all three meals, b/c like tonight we'll probably eat out.
Marcie-Great job helping out! The world needs more people who are willing to reach out to others. I think you did just fine with your eating. The meal you chose was alot better than many other things you could pick and the portions are small. Plus like you said you probably worked alot of it off.
Well I got some of my house work done, now I am just slacking off. Talk you ladies later:)
08-31-2005, 05:20 PM
Marcie how wonderful of you! Glad to have you with us. My heart is breaking for all the people in your region. So awful. Lifting them in prayer. Can't even begin to imagine I am with you I listen to their stories and just cry. Glad you are here and thankful you and yours are ok Your online sista
08-31-2005, 11:40 PM
Lizzy, is your knee better?
Lisa, I'm glad school started off well for you! What classes do you have?
Work is finally starting to slow down a bit, so I will hopefully be able to start posting more soon. I've been doing well. I had a bad day WW-wise yesterday...I had a giant Rice Krispie treat, 2 cans of Mt. Dew, and a big cookie plus my normal food. I have no clue how many points anything was, but I'm just going to say that I used all my flex points. Yikes--it may be a long week.
I've been exercising like a mad woman. I'm walking a 15-mile walk next Saturday (the 10th). It starts near where I use to live in Wisconsin, and then we go 15 miles up the Mississippi River. It should be absolutely beautiful! I'm very, very excited! Are any of you familiar with the upper Mississippi? (Bev, I hope you stop by again soon!) It has tall bluffs lining both sides of the river. It's amazing. My parents are also walking with me (DH is too lazy). We have the opportunity to do 4, 8, or 15 miles. I think my parents are doing 4.
Did I already mention that I bought an MP3 player? It's the best idea I've had in a while. It makes my walks seem to fly by. Rather than downloading music from the internet, I burned some of the songs off my CDs.
09-01-2005, 08:01 AM
I did my second workout. Only 72 more to go in my challenge to myself LOL!!! I feel much better. I almost slept in thinking I could do it later. Then I thought about my day and realized that it' snow or never. I'd like to do some toning, but I am going to wait until the 5th week of my program I think.
Stephanie- GOOD LUCK WITH THE WALK!!! That is so awesome! I am sure you will have a fabulous time.
Well, I'm off to start my day...or maybe crash on the couch for an hour LOL. I hope everyone has a great day!!!
09-01-2005, 09:04 AM
Good morning and Happy Thursday!
Welcome to the new sista's! I am glad that you found our little corner on here!
I hope everyone is doing well today, it's been hard for me to get on here and read/post since I started school...maybe once I get used to the schedule it will be better.
I started my paper routes today! It was so nice and cool out this morning, and so quiet out! I didn't have a hard time getting up at 4:45 and the walk felt great!

09-01-2005, 10:44 AM
Aren't you all proud of my little freshman Lisa? She's quite a gal, let me tell you. So exciting about school and doing so well on the WW, I must say, she deserves a... oh, I can't stop myself...
Stephanie-Great job on exercising like a mad woman..good luck to you on your walk!
Misty-WAY TO GO! That is awesome that you got up when you wanted to sleep...I have a hard time with that. Next thing you know, exercise will just be a habit!
Lisa-Whew..your day is super busy! I bet they fly by...I just loved college..they really were the best times of my life...had a blast and enjoyed going to class. Silly sounding I know...but I enjoyed it.
Well 3 days down and I've done pretty darn good...I used my Flex Points last night b/c I just love a glass of wine at night. It is just something I really enjoy. So I am getting into them pretty easy...I go over every day but have a hard time seeing where to cut back b/c I am so hungry. I know that I will not get info on Exercise Point until the 3rd week, but since I am exercising so much, could anyone help me out a bit on those extra points I could be earning? I do 30 min cardio/20 min weight training 3 days a week and 45 min. cardio twice-three times a week. My cardio is pretty intense so can anyone help me?? I'd really appreciate it.
Update on storm victims here...well it is getting ugly...we are running out of gas, they are bringing in a ton more evacuees so they are telling us to stock up on things we may need, and people are trying to steal others gas and groceries as you walk out of the store. I am starting to get a bit scared. People are shooting people in New Orleans to get items that they want. It is just awful. Please keep all these people in your prayers. At lunch today I am going to the Red Cross to sign up to volunteer some more. I just want to do what I can.
Hope you all have a good day!
09-01-2005, 02:18 PM
No time to type much now, but DH just called--he asked me if our scale is broken. He lost 5 pounds in the last week without even trying. I absolutely hate him sometimes!!! How can guys do that!?!?

it is so unfair how the hubbies can loose faster! My mom came and stayed with us last week and she said to my hubby man you look like you have lost a lot of weight. Me her daughter she doesn't say a word to. My hubby isn't even trying. I just cook healthier at dinner for him. ERRrrrrrr So feel your pain.
Marcie did you not get a tracker first week of ww so you can figure out pts used for exercise? Goes by weight and intensity of workout. For me 30 min. is 4 pts. Hope that helps

Marcie, you do get the AP tracker thing on the third day. I...misplaced mine. Lol. See, here's the theory. Yeah, the extra POINTS come in really handy when I'm in a pinch, but I think I'd rather end up with extra AP in a day. I dunno...somehow I feel like it balances itself out. My body lets me know when it needs extra nourishment to complete the workouts I demand of it, and it seems to be working fairly well. But generally I think most workouts will earn you about 2-3 extra AP or something like that a day.
Also, I'm really sad to hear your update on the things in LA. I just wish there were something I could physically do for these people. Like...buy the world's largest mop and set to work or something!

I exercised today! I did the 40 min dance DVD, and I will say this, its getting easier. I still am a horrible dancer, but I can follow it better, and do everything as much as I can. But its doing something weird to my right knee. It was hurting Monday, and I couldn't figure out why, and today after doing the DVD, I found out why. Either its a dance move I'm doing wrong, or a combination of moves thats making it hurt, but I cant figure out which one it is. But its only my right foot. Weird. :dizzy:
I did do crappy yesterday with my points - I ate 40 pts!! I'm supposed to be at 26 to 31. Not good. But I'm doing better today.
Here is a link to figure out AP points. Hope that helps you guys out!
Thinking of you Marcie, and everyone else in that area hit by the hurricane. (((hugs))
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I worked out today instead of tomarrow b/c we have to go somewhere. SO I am still on track with my exercise.
I don't know if you remember but a while back I posted about my sister who has PCOS and Insuline Resistance receiving some shots, along with some supplements, appetite supressants and a low glycemic diet form a new doctor. She spoke to all her specialists and each one of them said that there was nothing in the regimine that would hurt her. None could say if it worked, but they all said go for it. So today is her first official weigh in. I don't know "officially" how she has done but she has stopped one of her insulin meds b/c it along with the new stuff was making her sick, her endocrinologist ok'ed it. She feels great and and unofficially has lost like 10 pounds in two weeks. She has started swimming again and swam a mile each of several days last week. I know the program she is on is not for everyone, but I am just so proud of her. I think slow and steady weightloss is the best route but her choice was this, surgery or die. She has never stuck with anything, and nothing has worked. But this dr. works with several woman in her same boat. So I pray she keeps going.
Lizzy-I sometimes have trouble with my right knee when I do anything with a sideways or truning motion. If I am cooking all day and turning back and forth and pivoting on that leg between my table and my stove, or roller blading, or anything like that it hurts. I find one of those elastic knee braces helped me alot, I got one for like $11 at the drug store. It kind of keeps my knee from sliding sideways or something. I hope yours feels better.
I also only use my AP in a pinch. When I was doing WW on my own I never used them. But I do use my Flex Points every weekend, I used them when I was doing it on my own too and I lost 24 pounds 4 months. Well I nee dto grab a shower and get the kids ready we have to run a couple errands when DH gets home. Have a good day everyone!!
