Dee, I am so sorry that you got bad news. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Love you!

08-17-2005, 11:22 PM
I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. Where is the cancer? Bless his heart. You, your Dad & family are in my prayers. If you need anything, please let me know! Love you girlie!

08-18-2005, 06:52 AM
Dee-I am praying for your dad, mom and your entire family. Please give them my best.

Gayle-You go girl! You are slipping right into that job!

Cheryl-Sounds like you did great avoiding the potatoes and gravy. I'm so glad you are back to posting.

Sherry-How's it going? I thought it was slowing down a bit, but in the afternoon, it sped right up again. I am still getting yelled out about the buses not being on time.

Becky came to the office crying yesterday. They are accusing her of cheating. I witnessed her reading this book all summer. Apparently, there is quite a bit of cheating going on and some kids are fessing up, but others aren't. She asked the girl that she knows copied her if she cheated, and she won't admit it. This could put Becky on academic probation. She won't let me get involved, she says she can fight her own battles. She has worked so hard to stay in IB, I really want to make sure that she doesn't have something on her record that she didn't do. This could affect her college applications.

08-18-2005, 08:29 AM
Dee....So sorry to hear about your Dad ~~your family our in my prayers.

Things here are going well and feeling alot better~~I say it is about time~~I need vacation from myself....lololol

Will check on you later gals.

08-18-2005, 10:08 AM
Dee--I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. I'll be thinking of y'all.

Shelley--I was accused of cheating in high school, too, when I didn't. There's nothing worse than being accused of something you KNOW you didn't do! They should re-administer that test (or a similar one) to Becky and the cheating girl, in separate rooms, and see what happens. Becky will be vindicated--the truth has a way of coming out in situations like that.

This week-end Stewart and I are going to visit my trailer in Magnolia. While we are there, we're going to run down to the Boats in Shreveport, Louisianna. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll hit a jackpot!

08-18-2005, 10:27 AM
Shelley, I agree with Cheryl. Hopefully they will re-test and see Becky is telling the truth. It's sad when we raise our kids to have morals and to do things right, then adults question their integrity. Give her a hug from Auntie Gayle and tell her I am thinking of her and want her to continue standing up for herself. BRAVO!!!
As far as my job...I can do the "grunt work" no problem's running the registers, computers and large orders with 50 zillion discounts! LOL!

Cheryl, have fun this weekend! If you win big, send some my way, ok????

Vickster, glad your feeling better! Is Cara attending college this year?

08-18-2005, 04:36 PM
Thank you for all the prayers. That is what I love about you girls, you are always there with support. That means a lot to me. Dad had prostrate cancer. He will be starting radiation after he sees Cancer Care. He is in denial so Mom said that we can't talk to him about it right now.

Shelley I feel so bad for Becky. That was a bad judgement call on the teacher. I hope that she will be able to handle this situation by herself. If not I know that you are there for her and you can tell her that.

Vicki I am glad that you are doing well. It sure would be nice to see a few more posts from you.

Cheryl good luck, I hope that you win the jackpot. This weekend when we are away at the wedding we are going to the mineral spa that Larry took me to a couple of years ago. We will also spend sometime at the casino with my mom and dad. lol

Gayle pat yourself on the back, you can do anything that you put your mind to. You are a strong person.

I have to run to the store, get the stuff in the suitcase and go for highlights at 5:30. It is busy. Larry also has a sleep study tonight at the hospital. As soon as he wakes up in the morning he will come home and shower and then we will be off to get mom and dad. We decided that since they have a van it will be more comfortable for me. I will be able to lie down. I still have a hard time sitting.

I hope that you all have a good weekend. I will post on monday.

08-18-2005, 05:54 PM
Dee, my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer about 5 years before he passed away. The reason why I'm telling you this is, Steve's dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer probably 6-7 years ago and continues to be in remission after treatment. When dad was taking treatment (radiation) it made him deathly ill to the point of vomiting around the clock. Now with the medical world advancing, treatment seems to not have the same affect on people as years ago. Most cancer clients I have visited with taking radiation say it is like having a very light case of the flu which can last anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks. Just be there for your dad and he will talk to you about it when he is ready. My dad never discussed too much of his illness, but he knew I was always by his side if he needed me. I am sending healing prayers your way.

08-18-2005, 08:04 PM
Hello

Things are starting to slow down a bit at school. Hopefully things will get calmer as the days goes on.

After work today I went to the Board of Education and put in a bid on a job I really want. It's for an Attendance Worker. I will have 9 cluster schools assigned to me. It will be the same 9 schools for the whole year. I will have to go to all 9 during the week. I will also be doing home visits and going to court with the Parents who's child has attendance problems. If it's meant to be, then I'll get the job. If not, then it's ok. I'll continue to do what I do. I'll let ya'll know if I get it.

Your Dad will be in my prayers daily. Please keep us posted. Have a wonderful weekend!!!!

The longer you work there the easier it will get. You're a very strong and smart person and I know you can do it!!! How does Allison like school?

That's aweful about Becky!!! Bless her heart! She's so innocent and getting blamed! NOT FAIR!! If she doesn't get anything done about it, please step in and do something. Let us know how it turns out!

Have things calmed down any at work? I hope so. You have been so stressed lately.I don't want it to run you down.Try to rest and post again when you can.

I'm so happy that you're feeling better. Can you afford to close your daycare for a week and either take a short trip or have a couple of "Vicki days?"

Have fun!!!! I hope you win lots of money!!!!! Think of all of us if you do!! BTW: I love low-carb and I'm doing VERY well on it!

To everyone else: Hello  and please post soon!!!! I miss ya'll!

08-18-2005, 08:40 PM
Shelley, tell Becky I am so proud of her for standing up for herself. In the end, the truth will come out and Becky will be come out standing tall. You have done a wonderful job rearing your daughters. You should be proud!

Dee, I hope you have a good time this weekend. I will be keeping you in my prayers.

Gayle, how was Allison's second day at school? I bet everyday for her will be PERFECT! How is the job going? Girl, you're working so hard you'll look like Twiggy in no time!

Sherry, good luck with the new job. It sounds very interesting. I'll be sending positive vibes your way. When will you know?

Cheryl, count me in on the good wishes. I hope you come home a millionaire!!!

Vicki, good to see you post. I'm glad things are going better for you. Take care of yourself!

I'm feeling a little better today. The perp confessed to the crimes he committed and now those little girls will not have to go into open court and tell their stories. When he failed the polygraph, he just decided to tell all. And believe me, it was plenty disgusting! As hard as it was for me to listen to all of the testimony and transcribe it for the prosecutor, it was also healing in a way. It made me face something that happened to me when I was around 7 years old. Actually, it kind of brought closure for me. I have never told anyone, not even Rick, that I was molested by an older cousin. Today I was in a meeting with my boss and I told him what this experience has done for me. He was shocked, needless to say. I think most people assume that abuse only occurs in poor, dirty households. But that simply isn't true. It knows no socio-economic barriers. That was some 38 years ago and at that time, it was more or less handled within the family. The cousin joined the military shortly after and it was never spoken of. I have seen him probably 2 times since then and he is just as creepy as ever. But, he doesn't have a hold on me anymore. HE is the bad person, not me. Wow, that feels so good to "say" that out loud! No one will ever take advantage of me like that again!!!

Good night all.....

08-19-2005, 07:18 PM
Hello  Happy Friday!!!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to say hello and I hope everyone has a fun, safe weekend!! For those of you going out of town, be safe & enjoy your time! :D

Carol.....How are your ankles? I have thought about you off & on today!! I hope you're ok!!! Love ya!

Will post again over the weekend. Have a good one!

08-19-2005, 11:01 PM
Ramona, I can't even begin to imagine the feelings you and others on this board have had because of a sick person like your cousin. I know you probably asked God why me? when it happened to you...maybe it happened to you as a child so you could reach out and help the children you are now in the adult llife. I feel we all gain strength from the difficulties we face during our lifetime. Bless you sweetie, sending extra hugs tonight.

Allison LOVES school!!! I hate to brag on her, but she is a very well behaved child. The teachers of even the older grades all seem to know her and address her by name. I hope this is a good thing?? LOL! She really likes her teacher and I think she ended up with about five other kids from her class last year in this years class.

Have any of you listened to the BTK-Dennis Rader case here in Kansas? It has made National news. he is a very disturbed, evil man who should spend the rest of his life locked away from hurting society. I listened yesterday to a few of the victims family statement before sentencing, how heart-wrenching. He looks just like the average Joe, one would never guess he is a serial killer etc. It showed pictures of him in self bondage and a few pics of him down inside a grave with a body of a victim, how sick??? He is a very, very sick, self absorbed person who has hurt so many people and families.

Sher, I noticed the exercise thread...GREAT JOB!

08-21-2005, 10:51 AM
Gayle sure did watch the trial on CourtTV of that monster...I kept waiting for someone to tell him to shut up at the sentencing. Man has no clue does he/did he.Wacko job he is

It is so dang hot here you can't hardly stand to be outside...
Hey Sherry maybe in Nashville next wk/end my hubby is taking to see her brother and sister/n/law who are in a assisted living down there. They went down a few weeks agos b/c the aunt is dying but like i said I MAy~~~can't you see me and the old woman for 3 hrs. in the same car.

Thursday was Cara's 19th b/day and we sent her flowers, bought her a and took her out to dinner...She is such a sweetie and we had a great evening ~~no boyfriend to aggravate us...lolololol

Glad everyone is doing ok and will check in again.

08-22-2005, 08:01 AM
Good Morning

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! If you went out of town, I hope you had a fun trip and made it home safely!!

Got to finish getting ready for work. I wanted to pop-in real quick to say hello and to BRAG!! I lost another 3 lbs! Down a total of 10 lbs. since Aug.1st!! :cp:

Have a great day! I'll check in after work.....Hugs! :grouphug:

08-22-2005, 09:35 AM
Congrats On The Weight Loss Sherry! Keep Up The Good Work Girlfriend!

08-22-2005, 07:34 PM
Sherry-Wonderful job on the loss!

I'm not feeling too great, I'm getting a cold. Just wanted to pop in to say hello. I think I got overheated when I ran on Saturday because I was getting hot flashes throughout the day, then I went ahead and ran again yesterday. I'm taking a rest today. I don't want to get sick because we are going to Gainesville and Tallahassee this weekend to check out colleges.

Have a good night everyone!

08-22-2005, 09:31 PM
Hope your feeling better in the morning Shelley!!!! Try to take some Shelley time, ok???

08-22-2005, 09:33 PM

Is Dee & Cheryl home yet????????

Vicki & Carol...How do you feel??????

Ramona...Are you ok?

08-22-2005, 09:34 PM
WAY TO GO SHERRY!!! You are such an inspiration.

Shelley, take care of yourself. Those summer colds are the worst!

08-22-2005, 09:35 PM
To all low-carbers: If you want a great fried chicken recipe, let me know!! :chef:

08-23-2005, 06:46 AM
Sherry-I'm not low carb, but I would love the recipe!

08-23-2005, 09:42 AM
Here ya go Shelley!!

Southern Fried Chicken

I use chicken tenderloins for this recipe but you can use what ever you want.

2 lbs. chicken
1 bag of plain pork skins crushed (no carbs)
2-3 beat eggs
salt & pepper to taste

Off to work...running a little late! Have a great day all!!

08-23-2005, 10:06 AM
I'm back! I didn't hit any jackpots at the casino, but I did bring home more than I took! I took $65 with me and I gambled on the $5 all night. When we left I had $78, and that was after giving Stewart $20 to help pay for food. Of course, I should have brought home more--at one point I was up to around $140, but I gambled it back away. It was a really fun trip!

Yesterday was my first night of school. I think that class is going to be good. I also have class tonight and Thursday night. I'm still a bit nervous about it--there's a lot of heavy reading to do.

I was flirted with last night by a guy around 24-25-ish. When I said something about my husband he dropped the conversation like a hot potato! Still made me feel good :)

Hope everyone is doing well.

08-23-2005, 10:34 AM
A flirt now & then does wonders for our self image Cheryl. Even if we know we would never act upon a flirt, it's still fun! I'm sure the young man saw the gorgeous young woman we have grown to love here on the board.

Shelley, are you better today? Did becky get everything straightened out with the test?

Sher, the chicken recipe sounds yummy! I'm glad low carbing is working for you!! I would do ok if I could just sew my mouth shut. LOL!

Ramona, are you feeling better today? Is work still so very stressful?

Dee, how was the trip?

Have any of you heard or experienced the benefits of drinking elderberry tonic? A few teaspoons a day is said to control such things as blood sugar, allergies etc. Allison is fighting her seasonal allergies again and if you all remember last year, she then ended up with a serious bacterial infection. I am considering purchasing a bottle and trying it out on her, but I just wanted to check here first to see if anyone had heard of it.

08-23-2005, 12:34 PM
Sherry congratulations, you are doing great. I am so proud of you. I know that you must feel so much better about yourself. I know that when I am in control of my eatting I feel good. Your recipe sounds like it has a lot of flavor. Thanks for sharing.

Shelley good luck in picking the right college. It is a tough call. Take care of that cold. You made a good choice on taking a break from running. You will get back on your feet sooner if you take it easy.

Gayle your poor Allison. I do remember how sick she was last year. I haven't hear of elderberry tonic. I wish that I could help you.

Cheryl you did well at the casino. Most people put everything back in that they won hoping for the big one. I bet just getting away for the weekend was nice.

Ramona how are you coping with work now. I was also abused when I was a little kid so I know how you must be feeling dealing with creeps at work. I feel for you.

Our weekend away was wonderful I got to visit with some of my favotite people in the world. Nichole the bride is a very young bride. She is turning 19 next month. I think that they have a better chance than most young couples. She married a ministers son. The have a very strong faith. We wish them the best.
Thank you for the prayers and support for my father. He will not talk about it. He is in denial and says there is nothing wrong with him. Gayle thanks for the words of encouragement and information. Dad will see cancer care in the middle of september.
Today is Larry's birthday. We are going out to an Italian Restaurant tonight. After that we will come back and have cake with the kids.
On thursday we are having a bunch of people over from our aqua fit class. One of the guys is going to do a class for us in our pool. After that we are having a pot luck dinner. We figure that if we exercise first it will take care of our sinful eatting that night. lol

Have a good day.

08-23-2005, 01:06 PM

:hb: :cb: :hb:  :hb:

08-23-2005, 01:11 PM
Dee, just give your father some time to let things absorb. I think it is very hard for the strong head of the family to realize they can become ill...some probably feel it is a sign of weakness on their part and maybe they could of did something differently to prevent such a thing. I'm sure he is feeling a mixture of emotions now, from wondering how he will continue to watch after your mother considering her health problems to just being scared of the unknown. Prayers sent sweetie.

08-23-2005, 06:02 PM
Hi Girls:wave:

My life has been so crazy for the last 10 months, sometimes it's hard to have a clear head. BUT here goes!!

School is crazy and I already feel over-worked...LOL.

Shelley....Thanks for all your encouragement over on the exercise thread. I'm so tired most afternoon, I have to take a 20 minute {nap} then exercise.

Gayle...How is the new job going. I just noticed your tracker. WOW...You are doing great!!

Carol....How is your ankle? I thought about you today when my {normal} feet hurt me so bad. Take Care!!

Sherry....Thank you for all your inspiration in getting us back on track. I have actually been excited about this low-carb thing because we are doing it together. Thanks also for encouraging me to do the water aerobics.

Dee....When I LURK and read the posts, I always read about your adventures. You live such an exciting life.

Cheryl... I bet the casino was fun. When me and Sherry went to New Orleans 2 or 3 years ago where I went in my first casino , we had a hard time spending 20.00 dollars apiece. We ended up listening to the band and {having a few} LOL

Vicki....Hope you are doing alright with your back now. You must have nerves of steel keeping children. I kept my grands this summer, but just one at a time. :spin:

Well...I'm late for my nap...then water aerobics before hubby gets home.

Hugs Everyone...deb

08-23-2005, 08:39 PM
Gayle, I believe that elderberry is the main ingredient in Sambucol, which is a product I get at the health food store. It will stop a cough dead in it's tracks!

Dee, I am feeling much better this week. Thanks for asking. Two of the women are back at work so I'm only doing 2 jobs now. It's nice to have a break!

08-23-2005, 10:07 PM
Ramona... I'm sorry I forgot you in my post. I warned everyone that my brain doesn't work well after 2.00...LOL. I'm glad you are feeling better. Glad things are easlier at work this week. Hugs

08-23-2005, 11:03 PM
Hello

Wow...Was that a post from Debbie????!!!!! :faint: I'm so glad you posted!! Welcome back after soooo long!! You're doing great on your diet and your exercises inspires & motivates me!!!

Dee...It's got to be so hard on your Dad. After all these years he's been healthy then have this ugly word of cancer thrown on him.Bless his heart! I will continue to pray for him. Glad you had a great weekend. It was lonely here without you! Tell Larry HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Hope your dinner was wonderful!!

Ramona.....I am so glad that you have help back at work now. Maybe you can slow down a bit now and take care of Ramona!!! Guess what??? Chris is coming home soon for a 2 week leave!!!! I miss him so much and can't wait to get my arms around him!!!!

Gayle.....I looked up that medicine and it sounds like maybe it will work! Like Ramona said, It stops a cold dead in it's track! Let me know if it works! How's work going? Getting any easier? I'm so happy that Allison loves school!! :D

Shelley.....How do you feel? Does the cold have you down? Has school gotten a little better & calmer now? It's getting a little better for me. I still haven't been called in for the position I applied for. Guess I didn't get it. But that's ok...I guess.

Cheryl....Sounds like you had a fun weekend! Glad you came home with a little more then you left with! Like Debbie said, we were tight wads and didn't want to spend more then 20.00 when we went! Good luck with school!!! Great job on getting hit on by that guy!! You go girl!! ;)

Carol....How are you? How's the ankle? Please post soon!

Vicki.....Are you still feeling better? Please post soon!!!!

To everyone else....Hello....Love & miss you!!!!

Got to go and get things ready for work. Thanks to all for the congrats on my weight loss! HATS OFF TO YOU THAT HAVE LOST TOO!!!!!! :hat:

08-24-2005, 06:48 AM
Debbie-I noticed your weight tracker! Congratulations on staying OP!!

Sherry-Thanks for the recipe. I don't eat pork skins, though. They are too gross for me. The lady that I work with eats them everyday at lunch. I remember them from Atkins and I have a hard time just looking at them!

Ramona-I'm glad that you only have to do the job of 2 people now. Maybe things will get better soon.

Things have calmed down at school, but I still am not caught up. The clinic lady has been gone this whole week because her daughter had a baby by caesarian and she is helping to take care of her. So naturally, I am still busy, but at least I'm not getting yelled at daily about the buses. There is still a huge problem with them, but I am managing to blame everything on transportation. I found myself yesterday being very calm the whole day and doing at least 4 tasks at the same time. I wish I could be calm like that everyday. It might have been because the principal wasn't on the walkie talkie trying to get me--she was in a meeting. Normally, she will call someone and always say or Shelley. Of course, I am always the one to respond.

Yesterday, I ran into a huge snake in the chicken coop. It was laying where I normally get the eggs. I ran next door for my neighbor to get him bb gun, but by the time he came over it was gone. Now I don't want to do the chickens anymore! Mike says it was a yellow rat snake, but I don't like snakes at all. I dreamt about it all night. The thing was huge!! The chickens didn't seem to mind, though.

I guess I have rambled on enough. Love to all of you and have a great day.

08-24-2005, 04:42 PM
Shelley, yuck I have a snake phobia! Don't you think that the snake would eat the chicken eggs? I still can't believe that you have chickens in the city!

Gayle you are so right about my Dad. You couldn't have said it better. Thank you for your words of wisdom.

Debbie a post from you on this thread....yipee! It is a pleasent surprise. Congratulations on your weight loss. You are neck and neck with Sherry.

Ramona it sounds like you are still working to hard. I am glad it is a bit easier for you but they need to get you some help.

Sherry I am so happy for you that Chris is coming home. That will be a precious two week. The visits are too far between. I am sure that Ramona understands.

Larry's birthday dinner was really nice. It was everything he expected. Before we went for dinner we went for a walk to see these bears for cancer. They are displayed outside along a few different streets. Many different artist painted them. There are about 50 of them. Very creatively done. After dinner we came home to a surprise. Dez decorated the dining room with ballons and streams, paper plates, napkins and games on the pirate theme. We had so much fun. We even had those pointy birthday hats that I wore on my I was so happy that she did that because I didn't even have one surprise for him. All my shopping was done with him. It turned out to be a fun time with the kids her for cake and our pirate party.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes for Larry. I will tell about them. Thank you also for the prayers for my father. It means a lot to me.

It is a busy week for me. I am having a group of people from aqua fit for a party tomorrow night. We are going to have Peter do the class and then we are having a pot luck dinner. Sounds like it is going to be really good. Loooks like it might rain so I have to have my house and yard in order because I don't know where we will end up. I am so anal about having everything perfect. I really shouldn't be posting because I have a ton of stuff to get done. So I better sign off. If I don't post til friday I am sure that you just might find it in your heart to forgive me.l

08-24-2005, 07:21 PM
DRAT! I posted a message before I went to work, but it looks like it never made it here!

I went ahead and purchased the tonic today, it is pure elderberry concentrate. I figured I will double dose Allison for a few days to see if there is an improvement. After a few days, she will get 1 teaspoon per day, hopefully it will work!! My 30 day supply was $12.00, which really isn't any different from purchasing allergy meds. I'll let you guys know how it works. Thanks Ramona for the name of the product you use, it was nice to get a comparision.

Dee, have fun at the party! It sounds like a blast! I'm sure rain or shine, everyone will have a great time since you are the hostess.

Shelley, I wrote a big long story all about snakes to you, only to lose it out there in space. Long story short, I have a little guy about the size of a pencil hanging out in my pond. Just small & fast enough I can't catch him! I am ALMOST tempted to fill my pond in!! I remember as a child, it was a rule of thumb on the farm to ALWAYS look up in the rafters for snakes hanging down before entering a building. YIKES! I'm like Dee, I wonder if he is looking for eggs??? Tell him to get a life and go to McDonalds for breakfast!! LOL!

The job is doing ok...from the minute I go through the door to when I clock out, I never once sit down or quit moving. I work days the liquor orders are coming in so there is always inventory to put away, stocking shelves etc. This is the largest store in the city so it does a large percentage of sales and is very fast paced. I am still getting nervous running the register, but am getting a little better with it as time goes on. I should start toning up with as many cases of booze I'm moving! LOL!

Sher, you are doing so good!

Deb, thanks for posting here too! You are really burning up the exercise thread!

I hope life is treating everyone well!

08-24-2005, 08:10 PM
Hello gals...

Everything here is going fine and feeling much better just been busy with the babies i have in is 8mos the other is 4mos. They keep me hopping if you can believe that. The hubby and child are doing well and driving me crazy as usual.

Glad to see everyone doing somewhat well this week.
Check in again

08-24-2005, 08:20 PM
Poor Vickster! I remember trying to take care of babes and just getting one fed or to sleep just in time for the other one (or two) to start in going WAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! I do not envy you at all!

08-25-2005, 05:16 PM
Gayle I am glad that you are doing well at work! I knew you would. Thanks for wishing me fun today. I will, you know that! I am already, now to have a little rest.....zzzz

Vicki it is noce to see that you are posting. I did day care for 18 years. I only tried to take children 2 and over. Babies, oh boy you have your hands full. It takes a special person to work with babies. I know that you are the one.

Got to go catch some zzz's. I promise I will be good tonight! It is only thrusday so can't get to wild. Oh yeah I don't work tomorrow, or any day for that

08-25-2005, 06:03 PM
Looks like we have Katrina approaching, so we are cancelling our plans to visit the colleges in northern Fl. this weekend. We won't know until 6PM is schools are closed. I have to work either way, since I am a 12 month employee. I won't go if it is too bad out, though.

I have to tell you what happened at school today. One of the teachers gave me a Dooney and Bourke purse that she doesn't use. It's a beautiful color of red with the DB's in all different colors (if you know Dooney, it's the IT type.) I can't believe that she did this. She said that I am the only person she knows that not only cherishes purses, but changes them everyday. Any idea how I can thank her other than the note I already gave her? I already told her that she is on the top of my priority list for anything she wants at school for her class.

Dee-I hope your dinner party tonight goes well. When is the big surgery??

Gayle-You are probably getting quite a bit of exercise. Hauling those boxes is great for your arms and legs. It sounds like you are just about a pro at the job now.

Vicki-Glad your injuries are better!

Boy, I'm far from a pro at work, but thank you Shelley & Dee for thinking I'm catching on quickly. The management I work with are really bad to tell you to do something but never show you how to do it or god forbid, even explain it in detail. So, most of the time I kinda have that deer in the headlights look!

Shelley, how about sending the teacher a nice box of candy or a small floral arrangement. Better yet, maybe a gift certificate to a favorite store? Sounds like she knows your love of purses and wanted to share because of the person you are.

Dee, I expect you to be posting bright & early here in the morning. None of this partying all night then wasting the day away! LOL! HAVE FUN!
P.s. Are you nervous about the surgery???????
