GOOD MORNING ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well..it is raining again and everyone is being reallly wiped out from Allison...The rivers are rising but we are ok where we are but just have to limit travels because of the road closed!!!
Lauren--Yep..d/t is "due to" and it is a nursing abbreviation..I try to catch myself cuz I type them everyday and it is a habit...Like s with a line over it is "without" and c with a line over it is "with". we also use the triangle for "change" and pc for :"after meals"and ac for "before meals" Refman laughs cuz the "honey do" list is sometimes written in the nurse code and he has an excuse for not obeying!!!*L*
Yeah on making the lunch with the new knife and avoiding BK!!!!!
Wow==tomorrow will be a month since I got married!!!Have U posted any pics??????
Elisa-2.5lbs and Congrats for being back to the original weight!!!!
Also Congrats to the ones I missed and the ones who followed the diet and excercise this week!!!!!!!
Karen--Glad U R back on track!!!!Good to see U again online!!!!
Legal-Good to hear from U again!!!!!Happy Anniversary!!!!!! Trust me--NEver try the paprika pringles!!!!:s:

Man, I'm sleepy! Got up at 6:00 both yesterday and today because daughter had a swim meet and had to be at the pool at 7:00. I volunteered at the meet today, and the sun wore me out. Daughter is sound asleep on the sofa. She swam well, though, so she's got a right to be tuckered out! I was proud of her; she took 13 seconds off her best breaststroke time! (Don't ask me where she gets it. Her dad and I both swim like boulders! )
I have also been PMS-ing big time. So far, I've been pretty good about it as far as eating goes, but BOY it's hard to feel satisified with a veggie plate when your hormones are screaming for a can of Pillsbury biscuits with about six gallons of melted butter on them! I have found myself retreating to the computer or picking up a book to avoid the uncontrollable PMS munchies. Sitting in front of the TV makes it worse.
This will be a busy week...I have two volunteer shifts to pull, plus I have to pack for my trip to the Teach for America Institute in Houston. (Apparently, I may have to get there by boat!) I also need to go to the thrift store and see if I can find a pair of black slacks and maybe a dress or two. I need to have a pair of black slacks to go with all the blouses in my closet. I'm an odd duck. When I gain weight, I gain a little bit in my upper half, but most of it goes to my butt, hips, stomach, and thighs. So, all my blouses still fit fine but I only have one pair of slacks that still fit. Thing is, I 'd hate to spend a bunch of money on a new pair of pants that will be too big in a month.

OK - so who else out there has discovered the paprika pringles :s: - they will lead you onto the road of self destruction (I know it, been there, got the t-shirt and had the weigh in!) Nothing much to report, for now, but missed my weigh in last week because of work, but have to weigh in this week otherwise I will have no idea what I have to work with for my July 4th goal.
Spent a lovely Sunday afternoon ironing, had to, so much ironing, so did not want to do it, so not relying on hubby to do it either. He is a selfish ironer, he will iron as and when and for him only, whereas I do both of our stuff. However what was nice was that for the first time since we were married, we sat and watched our wedding video together, I mean it has only taken me three years to get round to watching it. I have skimmed it before, but skimmed the embarrassing bits, but today I watched the whole thing through and it was nice reliving it all. Just a shame I don't weigh now what I did then
Anyway hope everyone has a wonderful start to this week. Congrats to all the losers and here's hoping I can join you.
Have you noticed that I have got round to discovering colour, I was feeling left out as everyone else was posting in colour
I just noticed the sticky out tongue smiley is working, gotta put a couple in just because :p :p
06-10-2001, 08:53 PM
Hi everyone! How are you all? I just skimmed the posts... can't believe so many posts since I've been here. But I had to just jump on for a minute to say~
Rabbit Congratulations on getting back to the 160's! You are so close!!!! Yippee!
I have weigh in tomorrow. I know I did really well this week and I feel like I will have a loss. I can't wait to find out what it turns out to be!
Tech, good to know I am not alone. It is a crazy sounding story but I know it is better for me to be going than not. I have been on a good roll for about 3 weeks and especially this last week and I feel no desire to jump ship so far.
Lauren, even though I'm in NJ there're noooooo a&p's as far as the eye can see... and further! When I was little there was one near my grandmother's house. None down here. Anyway, you can get back on track when the hormones settle down. Good luck with the new position. :)
I only have 6 more days with the kids and 8 more days of work all together. There's so much to do and I'd better get back to it.
goodnight! Good luck!
06-11-2001, 10:47 AM
Oh, I had a tough weekend!:( I made lemon squares - my sd's favorite since she would be here. I allowed myself one/day after I figured out the points (4.7!!). But last night I really really overdid it on the homemade egg rolls - and then lemon squares (notice there was an "s" at the end there). So I must be very very good from now on. I sure don't want to gain. I reread my post and rembered how thrilled I am to be in that lower range again.
Jennelle - congrats on your loss and good luck on your birthday goal!:)
elisa - I know it is so easy to put it back on. One time when I got really thin in my twenties (in the 120's and I'm 5'8") I remember saying - I am NEVER going to gain that weight again. . .
RR - Hope that rain has stopped! Can't believe it has been a month already!
happy - good luck at your weigh in!
Rabbit (the egg roll bandit)

I forgot to post my mileage. I'm at 381 miles. The race for the cure Saturday was great and yesterday I played golf.
06-11-2001, 12:33 PM
Well, it's a new week and I'm still feeling really motivated, but I'm also feeling a sense of will power!! Either that, or it's the fact that I have my lunch all planned and packed with me! Dinner is planned also, I have leftover turkey from the weekend, so I will have that with leftover stuffing and some veggies. I will be OP today!!
Rabbit - Those lemon squares sound great. My aunt makes these lemon squares that are really good too. Not sure what's in them, but they're from a 9x13 and they have a crust (graham cracker I think) and a dusting of powdered sugar on top.
Dani - Hope WI went well for you!! What stores do you have down there, GU's?
BFB - I have not seen the Paprika Pringles around here, but I probably wouldn't like them anyway, so that's good! I bought FF Pringles yesterday. Did not have my pts. finder with me unfortunately, but guessing, I thought they'd be low enough pts. to justify...will have to see when I get home, forgot to look when I first got them home! I can't wait til we get our video, I love watching wedding videos!! I have watched my brother's a few times, especially right before my wedding!! People think I'm nuts...especially my husband!!
Jenelle - I was there last week!! Hang in there, and don't go near the biscuits and butter!! Pretend everything is nailed down!!
Vicki - I have posted pics, thought you saw them though. The link is: Lauren's Wedding Pics (http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=233930&uid=23171) Hopefully that'll work. DH tried to install Photoshop this weekend, so that we could scan some of the actual professional proofs in, but he's having computer issues. :( Hopefully that'll be resolved soon.
Time to go have my lunch! Have a great afternoon all!!
06-11-2001, 01:44 PM
okay, first of all I've discovered how I gain weight!!! I do really well from Monday to Thursday and then Friday to Sunday I eat like a pig!!!! So once again this Monday finds me up 1.5 lbs and now I have to spend the rest of the week losing it. But, there are two ways to look at it - one is if I wasn't careful during the week and didn't take off the pound or two that was gained on the weekend, I could easily gain weight in no time (this is the lighbulb going off). While I don't think I'm that bad every weekend, these last two weeks have taught me something. The other way to look at it is, if I was just better on the weekends then I would be losing weight!!!!! (ding ding ding, we have a winner). Well, do you think this revelation will help me??? I hope so and I'll keep you posted. I'm off to a better start, had some fruit for breakfast, soup for lunch and went to a Pilates class. Not a bad start to the week.
Rabbit - I so understand. Sometimes I'm just dumb enough to decide to make some "baked goods" and convince myself that they're not for me but I CAN'T RESIST and I know that but I fool myself. This weekend I made coconut cream pie (I was pretty good with the pie) but decided that I couldn't let the egg whites I didn't need for the recipe go to waste, so I made meringues. I then I ate meringues! Now I know they're just egg whites and sugar but still what was I thinking. Next time I'll make an egg white omlette and be safer.
BFB - you know if I ever see Paprika Pringles I'm going to have to try them and then I'll probably blame you when I eat the whole thing!! It's just that I've heard so much about them.
Lauren - I'm glad you're still motivated, it's sounds like you're organized and that's a good part of it -good luck!!
06-11-2001, 03:22 PM
Hope everyone is having a good day! I'm doing pretty good soo far! I had some snack wells, and I'm about to eat my apple. I'm half way through my last bottle of water (that I have with me - I bring 3 - 1 liter bottles with me everyday). Usually I'm just starting the last one about now, but they were having some issues with the A/C over the weekend, and it was pretty warm in here this AM. I wouldn't have minded it, because I'm usually cold, but I didn't dress for warm!!
I paid my rent, that I forgot to pay by the first, at lunch! Also paid for our pool passes!! The pool does not open daily until June 18th, but at least it's open on the weekends now! I can't wait to go swimming! Of course this weekend will probably be a bust, because Saturday DH's parents are coming over, for Father's Day. Sunday we're going to my mom's house, becasue the whole family is coming. My brother and I honor my Gramps on Father's Day, since my dad died when I was almost 3 and my brother was 6. This year everyone's getting together because they want to plan a combination 90th birthday/65th anniversary party for Gramps' b-day and Gran & Gramps' anniversary, which is 9/5. My Aunt, Uncle and Mom are planning it. It won't be a surprise though...could you imagine trying to surprise an 86 y/o and 90 y/o??
Oh well, gotta get back to work!!
06-11-2001, 04:36 PM
Hey Rabbit - You would probably know the answer to this:
Can you use whole wheat flour in place of regular white flour for everything? Like, is there any reason you would have to use white flour?
06-11-2001, 05:05 PM
elisa822  yeild not to temptation. Paprika pringles are on the road of self destruction
LBH - hope your Gran and Gramps have a wonderful anniversary/Father's Day. 65th anniversary - that's a blessing in this day and age, gives you something to aim for!
Hope everyone is doing really well. Hubby found a piece of freesoftware which is a talking reminder - if anyone is interested the website is www.GoAce.com
06-11-2001, 05:35 PM
weigh in ... 2 hours and counting..... :)
Lauren, GU's???...OOOOOHHHHH I just got it Grand Union.. well not in this area.. but even the ones by my parents' I think are out of business... we have Acme, Shop Rite, and my favorite, local in the new place Marazzo's Thriftway. It is a home town store which is always clean, well stocked and has very nice, polite, people that work there. It's very personal. Mr. Marazzo himself often walks around and greets the customers, they have a great little restaurant with $.50 burgers on Saturdays that they cook on the grill outside on the patio.. they have a piano player at Christmas time.. it's just a very pleasant experience all around. But mostly we have a lot of Acme's and Shop Rite's out here. Wow, Go gran and gramps!! Have fun! :)
Elisa, sounds very common what you are experiencing.. great during the week and crazy on the weekend. I have a close friend experiencing the same exact thing... good luck dealing with that.. it sounds like you know what to do! :)
Rabbit, great idea to reread your happy post. You can do it.. you can get back on track because you know how great it feels to be in the 160's and how much you want to get those last 10 or so pounds off!! You are stronger than lemon squares!!!! :)
Well, I will check in later tonight after weigh in. I feel a little bloated today ... I really hope it doesn't interfere with weigh in. . I felt so good.. maybe it is just nerves. :)
06-11-2001, 08:10 PM
Hey everyone!!!!!What's happening??????I got all the pics(27 rolls) from the honey moon!!!!WOW..do I miss Europe!!!!!:?: It was the adventure of a lifetime!!!!
I went to the healthclub then lost it on Cheetos...Don't ask me why:devil: I guess the devil got into me..I will have to skip supper tonight....I am soo tired of getting to sleep late..and waking up early that I am soon to crash out early.!!!!
Have a great evening all!!!
06-11-2001, 08:11 PM
Lauren : Hope you don't mind...I peeked at your wedding photos. You look lovely! All that red hair! We could pass for sisters. (Your brother sure is a cutie pie!)
Elisa : Don't you just love those "ah-ha!" moments where everything in the universe just seems to click into place? Me too! :D
Rabbit : I will have a baking dilemma of my own tomorrow. Our next door neighbor got some free passes to a local amusement park but they were only good for today and both he and his wife had to work. They gave them to us (and we had a good time!), so I thought I would make them a homemade cheesecake. The best thing about that is I won't be able to steal a piece without them noticing. I have a plan for the utensils: fill the sink up with hot, soapy water and put everything in there as soon as I'm done using it. As long as I can resist "tasting" the batter to the point of absurdity, I'll be okay. I'll probably buy some bubble gum when I go to the store for the ingredients tomorrow and chew a big ol' wad of it while I'm mixing the cheesecake.
06-12-2001, 07:06 AM
I lost 4 pounds! :) I just wanted to post that. :) More later!
06-12-2001, 08:47 AM
Dani, 4 pounds? Wow! I'm so proud of you. I lost two pounds since last week. Tomorrow, I'm meeting with the gym trainer and getting some fitness tips. I'll let you know how it goes.
Rabbit, your loss is great. It must feel really good to have action morph into progress. :)
Jennelle, good luck with the baking. Make some lowfat muffins for yourself. If you want, I'll post my pumpkin muffin recipie. Three points each, and very satisfying. I modified a WW recipie.
Vicki, hope you got some sleep last night.
Dani, when we lived in NJ, we shopped at a really bad Acme and a really nice Kings.
Lauren, I use whole wheat flour, but not all the time. I find that it makes certain things too heavy (like pancakes.) So I usually use a 50/50 ratio of unbleached white flour and whole wheat.
Elisa, maybe you should make a plan to not bake for a while. It's not like you have to give it up forever, but it might not be right for you while you're trying to get on track?
Well, it's going to be another hot day. I'm learning Photoshop with a Gateway tutorial online. I have to learn Photoshop and Illustrator before my classes begin in September. So far, it's very intimidating but I think I will like it. See you all later.
06-12-2001, 10:43 AM
Dani: WTG on your 4 pounds! That's G R E A T !!!
Sonya : I would love the recipe for your pumpkin muffins! My kids love to eat that kind of stuff for breakfast, especially during the school year. It's portable, so they can eat it while they're dashing for the school bus.
06-12-2001, 10:47 AM
Sonya- I bought a small 2 lb. bag of whole wheat flour last night and I noticed on the bag there's a couple recipes for bread and pizza crust that both say to use unbleached white flour. This all started because DH said he found a recipe for whole wheat pizza crust that we was thinking we could try out this weekend. I said wouldn't it taste good to have whole wheat crust, and topping of spinach, onions, ricotta and parm? He said yeah, so we're thinking about trying it. I have not seen the recipe he found, but I'm guessing it probably does have unbleached white flour too. Thanks for the info! Have fun learning Photoshop...DH has to teach me so we can scan the pics and stuff! Hey, when and where in NJ did you live?! I don't remember that little fact?!
Dani- Congrats on the big 4 lbs.!! You are kicking butt!! That's right, I forgot about GU going out of business! The one near here (work) is now a Stop & Shop, which is OK, but there's no salad bar.
Jennelle- No problem, anyone can look at the pics! Of course my hair is straight out of the bottle!! Actually, I do have some red in there naturally, that's why it matches!! And yes, I have been hearing about what a cutie my brother is for my entire life!! :D All my friends were always drooling over him!!
Gotta run and check in on my new boss...see if he can talk now!! Wanna get things settled!!
Have a great day all!!
06-12-2001, 11:28 AM
Lauren, I lived in Montclair for three years (1988-91). I had my first daughter at Mountainside Hospital. And I worked in Livingston for ARC of Essex County. I was a secretary and the people there were pretty nice. But I was so homesick for Colorado and my family, so we moved home.
Just mix the flour 1/2 and 1/2 and see if you like it. I like some whole wheat flour because it has more fiber and seems like it fills you up better. Experiment and see how it goes. Also, just use the cheese for flavor and you will cut way down on the fat grams.
06-12-2001, 11:53 AM
Sonya- Thanks for the tip, I will try it! Will have to use a minimum amount of cheese anyway, even though it's LF cheese, Jim's dad can't have too much, because of the strict diet his doctor has him on. That's soo funny, I used to live in Totowa, I could almost spit to Montclair!! DH went to Montclair State College...when it was still a college, now it's a University.
06-12-2001, 03:23 PM
Jennelle, just wanted you to know that I really appreciate the time and effort it took you to type out that cute message, letter by letter in colors!!! t h a n k s !
06-12-2001, 03:49 PM
Well, I did not get the job. It's a long story, but the short of it is, I am fully qualified and he has no doubts I can handle it...if it were 6 months from now and things weren't soo hectic. It's kind of an experience thing, but not necessarily yrs. wise...if that makes sense! Anyway, we had a nice chat and he said if something does not come up and I'm at risk, let him know and he'll find something to do with me. I thought that was really nice of him. I also very highly recommended my friend Kristen for the job, because she really would be perfect for it. She doesn't necessarily have more experience, but she's got the tougher, louder, more outspoken personality to do it...and she's done a little more project work than me.
They do have something in mind for me...should find out more tomorrow.
That's all for now...
06-12-2001, 10:59 PM
I GOT MY 10%
DANI--- CONGRADS on the
At my meeting they sell WW smoothie mixes
now. I bought the French Vanilla and will
try it in the morning.
Lauren-Don't worry I am watching for
Parsipanny for you. So hopefully that will
Sorry to tired to type!!!!
06-13-2001, 07:12 AM
Pryia that is GREAT!
Lauren, sorry about the job.. looks like something new is coming though. Hope it is something you will like!
06-13-2001, 09:18 AM
Pryia- Congrats on the keychain!!! I can't wait to get mine!! I've got a ways to go yet though. Do they still give you the 10 lb. ribbon??
Well, they called my friend about the job, she's gonna call them this AM. Hopefully she can get in for an interview this week, or a phone interview today! I'm really excited for her. Hoping to hear something about the position they have for me too. It's a little disappointing, because it won't be as exciting a position as the one I could've had, but it'll be better than where I'm at!!
Anyway, I'm going to weigh in tonight. There's an Express mtg. at 5:45, not sure if I can make it there in time though, if not, there's a 7:30 mtg. I'll have to go to. Has anyone gone to an Express mtg.? Is it any different? How do they manage to get it done with in an hour, if there's a lot of people there??
Have a great day all!!
06-13-2001, 11:43 AM
Go Pryia! :spin: Go Pryia! It's nice to see someone reach that elusive 10% goal! I hope to have mine at my July 27th weigh-in. (I've got 11.5 lbs to go as of last Friday.)
Lauren...I've never been to an express meeting, but I wonder if it's anything like the "open meetings" I go to. The center here is open continuously on Fridays from 9-2. You can go weigh in and get your literature for the next week, but there's no meeting. At first, I thought I would need the meetings, but I find I'm doing well without them. (I get most of my support on-line, anyway!)
06-13-2001, 07:29 PM
Hi all!! Sorry I've been missing lately - been busy this week.
Lauren - The lemon squares lsound like these - the crust is flour, butter and powdered sugar I think, though. I was thinking I need to try to change the recipe some next time. I would think you could sub wheat flour if you want. I like Sonya's idea of half and half. I've done that before. And I know I've made a whole wheat pizza crust before - I do think it had some other flour also though. Good luck at your weigh in - and also with the job situation.:)
Elisa - good luck with your weekends now that you have identified the problem! DH's bday was over the weekend - I was going to make him a snicker cake, but decided I couldn't handle it and made him this peanut butter/chocolate thing that everyone loves but me. That worked well.
Happy - first, congrats on the 4 pound loss! And yes, I'm back on track. It was just a slip up. I have a plan, a strategey, and I'm working the plan. I sent the remainder of the lemon squares off with sd to FL.
Jennelle - hope the cheesecake plan worked! It sounded like a good plan.
Sonya - congrats on the 2 pound loss!:smug:
Pryia - congrats on the keychain!! You have worked hard for that and deserve a big pat on the back! We are proud of you.:smoking:
OK, I must run. Weigh in is tomorrow night and I hope I don't gain, but I can deal if I do.
06-13-2001, 09:28 PM
First, thanks for all your support for my weekend blues. I'm going to have to try harder. For me weekends should be a bit more indulgent, it helps you not feel like you're always deprived, but I still have to keep things in check. This weekend we're doing some fathers'day barbecuing and I'm already better prepared. My husband bought these very fattening burgers but I bought turkey burgers for me - we'll see how it goes. I've still been going to the gym so I feel good about that.
Rabbit - good luck on the WI - hope it's good news.
Lauren - hope your WI was okay - what is an express meeting?
Congratulations to all the losers!! - You know who you are and you always give me inspiration.
06-13-2001, 09:48 PM
Hello all!!! Man I am so
tired and I am going to bed really early.
Today was one of those fat days. I just ate
what I was in the mood for and did not
really care. And I am okay with that. Maybe
that is why I am tired too.
I ordered a new swimsuit. One of those
Tanktinis. But the bottoms are like boxers.
So much better than what is in my closet. I
figure I will be more willing to go to the
waterpark. And if I really like the suit I
will order a smaller one for next year. Just
have to guess and hope I do it right.
Rabbit= Did you know there is a WW recipe
for Snickers pie? I have not tried it, since
I am not a baker.
The French Vanilla smoothie was good. I made
it with the skim milk.
LBH and Rabbit good luck at WI. Hope it goes
Hello to all!!!
A very tired P
06-14-2001, 09:34 AM
I weighed in last night at the express meeting and lost 5.4!!! :D :D :D WooHoo!! I'm soo excited, I really did not expect that much of a loss, I was think 2. something maybe. As far as the express mtg. goes, they basically just fit it all into an hour, WI, discussion and newcomers! Last night she said she decided to just go through the whole program process with us. Will go again next Wednesday and see what a normal mtg. is like with her because she seems fairly nice.
Had to go to Wal*Mart afterwards to pick up honeymoon pics that magically appeared in a pair of DH's shorts that had gone through the washer and dryer!! We weren't sure what was on them, and were hoping some came out!! Well, all of them came out, and theyr'e all of our cruise....if that's what you want to call it!!! LOL, wait til DH gets the computer fixed and I can scan the pics and you see the size of the freaking dinghy we were on!! It's horrible. My point to the Wal*Mart story though is, I had not eaten dinner yet, so I was starving, and I could've gone off the deep end and eaten there, or gone to one of the many food places in the mall or parking lot. I really wanted to buy some Double Stuff's, because I've been craving them. What I ended up doing was buying Reduced Fat Oreos, to satisfy my. They are1 pt. each. I brought them home, had my tuna fish sandwich and apple. Then decided to have a pop, instead of the Oreos, because I wouldn't have had enough pts. for milk and Oreos!! I didn't touch them until this AM, when I opened the bag and made 5 snack bags of them...3 each. This way I will not be tempted to take the whole bag and a huge glass of milk to the sofa with me!
Have a great day all!! Will check in later!
06-14-2001, 10:41 AM
Lauren - I am sooooooo happy for you - you deserve it. It's been a really long time since I had a week like that but I'm going to keep trying. Good for you with the oreos too. That's what I should do - for 1 point each, 3 makes a nice satisfying snack. I like the thought of dividing them up because otherwise it's so hard to stop. Anyway, congratulations again.
06-14-2001, 10:54 AM
Pryia : That sounds like a really cute swimsuit! I need to find one like that. I have a two-piece, but it's about three sizes too small at this point in the game!
Lauren : That was a great idea to bag up the cookies like that! I know it would keep me from sitting down and eating the whole dang package.
Today's my birthday (34 already!) and I'm going to Putt-Putt and the batting cages this afternoon and to the baseball game tonight. Tomorrow I start packing for Houston (after I go for my WI, of course), and I leave bright and early Saturday morning. It's going to be insanely busy at the institute, so I probably won't get to post much. Be thinking of me, though!
06-14-2001, 11:00 AM
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNELLE!!!
Have a great time at the game tonight and all the other things you're doing!!
06-14-2001, 11:04 AM
WEigh in is tonight:^: . I would love to just maintain this week.
Elisa - good plan with the turkey burgers! Hope is works out for you. Planning can be a life saver.
Pryia - No! I didn't know that. Where would I find the recipe?
Lauren - WOOHOO ON THE 5.4 POUNDS!! That is so awesome. Yeah on the oreo dilemna also. I've been wanting to try those chocolate ones but I know I can't buy them.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNELLE!!
wish me luck tonight - Rabbit
06-14-2001, 03:37 PM
If anyone has the Snickers Pie recipe I would love to have it. Sometimes we have company and I love to make desserts but if I can find one that people will love without knowing that it's not too fattening that would be great.
Jenelle - Happy Birthday!!!! I'll also be 34 this year.
Just as aside - I've never worn a 2 piece bathing suit in my life but it is one of my goals. I don't care if it takes until I'm 40 it's just something I'd like to do once in my life (and look okay in it of course). Even on my honeymoon when I probably didn't weigh more than 140 I tried them on but they just didn't look great. Do you have to be 110 pounds to look good or what??? Maybe it's just my body shape - hourglass is the kindest way to put it.
Good luck with all your weigh ins.

hi all. I gained .4 last night - and I refuse to let it turn into anymore! I'm glad it was just a little gain.
elisa - I haven't worn a 2 piece in a long time - I guess since I had a baby - and he just turned 20! My stretch marks are unattractive so I think those days are gone.:(
happy - glad you are almost done for the summer. I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with ds.
I've really got to take the time to check out you guy's pictures!
RR - please put me at 396 miles.
I'll be leaving for the weekend so will check in with you all later. Have a nice Father's Day.

Well, I got a new job! It's not as high level and challenging as the other one would've been, but it's a lot better than what I'm doing (making labels, copying!)!! It's asst. to the training & staff development department. It's being considered a parallel move as far as grade and salary, because what I'm making is much higher than what the position normally pays, but they got approval to keep my salary...not that I would've taken the job if they dropped my salary. It sounds fairly busy, and it is a pretty important position because whenever someone comes to audit us, particulary the FDA, they want to see our training files. So everything has to be in perfect order for just in case. I think that the position will probably evolve over the next year, in a good way, so that makes me hopeful.
Rabbit- Sorry about the gain, but at least you are aware why and can fix it!!
On the bathing suit subject...I have a two piece tankini that I bought while on the honeymoon, because I forgot to pack my bathing suit. I like it, it's a regular bottom (not shorts) and a tank top. It's navy w. a couple stripes across the chest, which actually is slimming, surprisingly. I like it because it's much easier to go to the bathroom when you don't have to completely undress, especially in a wet suit!!
Gotta run!! Have a great afternoon!!

LBH-Never thought of that with the SUIT. But good point. I think I will like that much better.
RoadRunner-Oh I just love the picture of you and SD#2 and Barney. It is just precious.
Rabbit-sorry about the gain. But you can get rid of tha.
LBH-Yeah on the new job. Hope you like it.
the weather sucks here today. But that is okay. We have 2 super hot days. And this weekend is suppose to be nice. Headed to the baseball game on Sunday. And have a busy weekend ahead of me.
See you all soon back to work

I am soo freaking bored...it's 4:30 and I have a 1/2 hr. left. :dz:  Just cornered the facilities guy in the hall and told him what cube I want to be in. The cube that the current person in my new position is in is not going to be available because the data mgmt. group is taking it over. I picked a nice corner window cube in the back...actually it's in the front of the building. It's quieter back there, and I want to have them move the wall so that the entrance to the cube is by the window, not the aisle. (It's the little things that do a lot for me!!)
Man, it's a good thing I don't have any crap food here, because I think I would eat everything in site!! I'm hungry and bored. Need some ideas on free food!!
Think I will be sneaking out early...I can't take this!! Computer at home is still broken, DH took a 1/2 day to try and get it working. Have a great weekend all!!

Vicki - You look gorgeous in your wedding dress, your new daughters are beautiful, and I hope it's okay to say that your hubby is SUCH a cutie-pie!! ;)
I weighed in today and lost 2.5 lbs, which puts me at 206.5 lbs. I made my birthday goal of 207! YAY! Really, it's probably not a "true" loss in total. I ate Chinese last night and something didn't agree with me in a BIG way. By midnight, most of what I had eaten had come back up. I figure it'll all balance out with next week's WI (in Houston - I leave tomorrow morning bright and early.)
My next goal is 203 by July 4th, then 197 (my 10% goal) by July 27th.

Lauren-I am with you on yesterday. My gosh that day could not get any longer if it tried. The last hour I was so bored. Yet did not want to do anything. I went to get a snack downstairs and forgot my money. So I did not bother. Good thing cause then I had pizza and beer for dinner. Yea good OP foods. But hey I had to watch the LAKERS take Philly.
Busy weekend here. Going to watch BJ play ball, buy food, shoes and clothes. Go to the brewer game tomorrow. So I have to go to work on Monday just to relax. Right now I am washing so we have stuff to wear this weekend.
Next week is busy too. But hey that is what summmer all about. Got to enjoy it now cause it does not last for long here.
Have a great weekend!!!!
