Ok, can't stop, its taken me forever to catch up on the posts.

Firstly, can I just say, I'm a confirmed non-smoker. I've never smoked, and never will. Can't stand the smell and they are no good for you. There it is. I've said it. (Doesn't mean I don't still love you though!)

Melanie, Yippeeeee!! I thought you were never going to get around to the baby issue!
Auntie Dawny has quite a ring to it, don't you think?!
Ok, I know it might take a while, but better late than never.
I lost about 20 pounds just before I got pregnant. It piled straight back on again. I gained about 50 or so pounds whilst pregnant. Not good. It caused me to get gestational diabetes and I had to take insulin by injection every day. Not good at all. I did nurse AJ afterwards and lost about 40 pounds in around 6 weeks. That was quite good. Unfortunately, I put it all back on again afterwards - hence I saw the light and joined WW. If you keep up the weightloss until the pregnancy does 'begin', it will make your time much healthier, I'm sure. Don't go mad whilst pregnant though, although you really don't have to eat for two, you need to eat the right stuff. If I was you, (I don't know if its recommended in the US, but over here, everyone get given them for free as soon as you become pregnant,) take folic acid pills straight away. They help prevent nasties in the unborn baby.
Anyway, good luck. And yeah, I don't think hanging upside down from the wardrobe ever really helped anyone get pregnant, it'll happen when it happens. I'm really chuffed for you!

Ok, gotta go, See ya later girls xxx

Yep, Aunt Dawny does have a ring to it. I'm just glad I got the weight under control before hand and now live a healthier life. I plan to ask the doc just how many more calories I am supposed to have and add it to my daily points. I DO NOT want to go back to where I was. Luckily, a lot of the junk I used to eat makes me upset to the tummy, so that should keep the cravings at bay. Just the thought of it is exciting. Though, I try to control the excitement, knowing it could be quite a while before I have anything further to announce. It added incentive to get to the gym, since I know it will help in the delivery process and I want all the advantages I can get in that department! But, today's schedule doesn't allow time. Maybe tonight I can think of something to get some exercise in... maybe some practice time with DH... :devil:

Tracy, don't be upset about the letter size you're using, I feel bad now! It's fine by me if it's easier for you to read, I don't want to give you headaches! Capital or big letters in boards or chatting translates as shouting, plus the nature of your post, I just felt like I was being shouted at. But please, don't change it for me, now that you've made it clear. It's fine if you prefer it. Take care! :)

I went on my other computer today and noticed my font looked huge!! That computer has a regular monitor on it. My (this) computer has an older flat lcd screen. I always thought these screens made it easier to read, but lately I am not so sure about it anymore. This size font is fine. It just took some getting used to. I often stress words using upper case letters. I always forget that is shouting too. I have to start remembering to use bold and underlining lol. I really do appreciate you telling me how you seen my font though!!! I had no idea. And if you seen it like that... I can imagine there might have been many others that seen it that way as well. It has helped me to notice this and make the change so that there isn't confusion later. Thank you so much for pointing this out. Do not feel bad!! Feel good because you helped me to see how my font used to appear. :)

I'm a lurker and am new around these neck of the woods but I just wanted to say WOW! at many of your weight loss success. Some of you were where I am today. I need to lose 70 pounds and would like to know how you guys have done it? I've been considering WW and walking (to later incorporate weight training) but didn't know how successful this would be.

Do you guys have any before and after pictures avaible that you can post here?

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THEM.

Sandy - glad you stopped lurking and popped in to say hi! Basically, I dropped the weight because I decided that I wanted it. Really wanted it. And followed the program. I also am part of a Bible Study at church that incorporates weightloss. Being a competitive person, that helped too. I wanted to see results each week and have it publically announced. Mixed with some prayer for will power and wisdom, I'm 75# lighter today. I haven't done great this year, but mostly because I think my losses are just naturally slowing down. Just decide it's worth it, you're worth it, and go for it!

No matter what follow the plan. Your not hurting anyone but yourself. Our bodies have there ups and downs. Have you tried taking out sugar, white flour, breads, crackers, candies, buns, rolls, donuts, etc? That makes a difference.

I am eating like a diabetic (I am a prediabetic) while doing WW. That means NO sugars (not including splenda), white breads and stuff like that. My first weigh in was today and I am down 2.2 pounds.

You have to follow the plan. Are you eating all of your flex points each week? Are you exercising every day? Are you eating several small healthy meals and healthy snacks thru out the day? All of this stuff makes a difference.

Weigh in today! Lost another 2 lbs! Even after the crazy Sukiaki dinner for our aniversary last night. I feel fabulous!

My graduation is tommorow, which includes a big dinner. I'm hoping there will be lots of vegetarian and healthy choices. I'm no veggiehead but i'd choose tofu over roast beef and gravy any day.

LizK.................. CONGRATULATIONS on your loss this week!!! Keep it up! ;)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sorry ladies.... but I hope you don't mind. The smaller font was getting rough for me. I have to go back to this big one for a little while. Hopefully my eyes will get younger and work better lol. I wanted to let you all know of this ahead of time thought because I didn't want anyone to think I was shouting. :) Hopefully by using a different color it will make a difference. :)
Tracy - :lol: The different color does make a difference. Good thinkin'!
Liz - Congratulations on your loss! (only in WW can you say that and not sound wierd!)
Well, I'll slowly waking up. I'm officially old. I had a coffee drink last night at about 8p and was up until 1. Time to go to decaf. Bad timing too. I have a short skit at church this morning with a partner that hasn't done one before. I better start focusing!
As for WW, I've been doing pretty good this week. I've started something different to get myself back in gear. I'm using only APs no FPs this week. Usually, I do the opposite, but I haven't been doing very good the past couple of weeks. So, until Thursday, if I don't earn 'em, I don't eat 'em. And, I ought to be eating pretty well today! I have my first cycling class today. 1 hr of guarenteed sweating!
Well, time to get dressed. Might even flip a couple of pancakes. Later!
Thanks Melanie. I am trying to make sure this is ok for everyone. ;)
Ymmmmmmmmmm, pancakes sounds so yummy!!!! I wonder if I can have them! I am going to have to see. My doctor told me a couple weeks ago that I was a prediabetic. So I am trying to stay away from all of the foods that can lead me to being a full blown diabetic. So I am going to have to find some info. on pancakes cause that sure sounds so yummy hahaha.
Sounds like everyone is doing good! My weekend was spent at a dog show(that's where I spend most of my weekends!). My girl placed 4th with a 99!!(out of 100 points). The problem for me is actually eating enough when I'm showing my dog. I absolutely have no appetite when I'm getting ready to go in the ring,too much adrenaline I guess. By the time I get back to the hotel ,feed,water and walk my animals,I'm too tired to eat. I know I'm dropping weight,dress pants are nice and comfy!!! I think I dropped a few lbs right there in the ring in front of the judge!! LOLOL
