Yeah, I know, it's weird. I like NA beer. I don't usually even drink the real stuff. IS this ok? I'm still in Phase 1. Is it ok now and will it be ok in Phase 2? Also, today I started feeling really bad. My head was hurting really badly and I felt a little bit like I could pass out. I checked my blood sugar and it was 89, so no problem there. I got home and in a moment of weakness ate a few spoonsful of my sisters fried rice from lunch. Soon after that I felt fine. (Sounds kinda crazy doesn't it?? ) Any thoughts?

Sorry but beer is not allowed on either phase because of the maltose.

Better check with your doc on the blood sugar. Although your reading is not really low, it could have caused the problem. Eating the rice put it back up. Are you diabetic and on medication? This plan is good for us diabetic folks but your doctor or nutritionist can help you work out how to handle it.

Thanks Ruth! Well, I'm not diabetic, but insulin-resistant. Yes I do take meds. Metformin 1500mg/day. I am still struggling with the nausea and diarrhea from starting my meds up again. I will call a dr. at the health center and see what they say. Thanks for the info about the maltose though.
