Do you all think with my weight, that 10 pounds is too much to expect to lose in one month? I am on phase 2. I have been on it for almost 1 week. I lost 8 pounds in phase 1.

Kyemom, I have been on phase 2 for 2 weeks and have lost 4-5 pounds so far, I lost about 9 on phase 1. I have introduced whole grain bread, fruit, crackers and whole grain rice and pastas back into my diet slowly and expect my weight loss to slow down to about 1-2 pounds a week. I set my July loss at 8 pounds and I still had a few days of phase 1 left when I chose that #, needless to say, I have to lose 2 pounds in a week to reach that. I think 10 pounds in a month is alot to expect especially on p2, I'm lowering my expectations for August to I think 6 pounds that way I am not disappointed in myself if I dont reach it. :) I started this diet at 174 pounds and I am 5 feet 6 inches tall, I now fluctuate between 160 and 163 (I tend to retain water  ) its been really bad with all this humid weather!!! I figure if I set my goals a little lower than what I really would like to lose I will be pleasantly surprised when I exceed them!!! :s:

I would plan for 4 or 5 pounds and then be excited if you get more. It really is healthiest to be losing only 1-2 pounds a week in phase 2. I know some people lose more but that is often the ones with much more to lose. Besides, if you lose too fast, you will have more of a problem with loose skin. :)

1-2 pounds per week is a healthy loss - more than that is a bonus but.....
