I was moved from the gold plan tothe green plan today since I'm about 9 pounds from my goal. EEEEEK! Even though it's only one less veggie and one less fruit, I've gotten used to eating a certain amount each and day i'm freaking out at the thought of changing plans!

In fact, I think I sabotaged myself today by having fajitas at lunch. :(

Anyone else on the green plan? it's hardly any food!!

Marissa...How long have you been doing LA? Have you always been on the gold plan? I don't think I could ever do the green. I would starve to death.. ;) Good luck....

You could always transition yourself over the first couple of days...by having one (either the fruit or veggie) that was taken away, to "bridge" the gap between the two plans, then after a couple days go fully down into the green plan. So then it is more gradual over the course of the week.

Hello--I recently found this site and this topic caught my eye. I was just put on the green plan but I'm wondering if I really need to move down to it. I've been losing weight steadily on the gold plan, and I don't want to slow down my metabolism more than I have to. (I just got back from 2 weeks of vacation and then a week of meetings for work, and I even lost 4 pounds during that time.) I know that as you get lighter, you burn fewer calories in normal activities, but I exercise as well. Do you think I could just keep following the gold plan for another week or so and see what happens? Or is the difference not enough to affect my metabolism?

boyerm - How much weight do you have to lose? How much have you lost and did you lose it all on the gold plan?

I've lost about 22 pounds (all on the gold plan). My initial goal was to lose 20 pounds, but we've revised that. My current goal weight is 125, so I have another 6 pounds or so to go.

Oh well since you are at your first goal and probably in the right weight range, they figure you will still have to cut calories to continue to show a loss. However if you workout, you could be in danger of not getting enuf calories. What state do you live in?

I live in Minnesota.

Oh I was hoping you lived in MI - I can't find any other MI chicks on here.
Anyhow, did you ask the counselors why they are putting you on a lower color plan?

It seemed to be basically a numbers thing (based on my height?)--when I hit 131 pounds I was supposed to go on the green plan.

Duh..:?: I guess if I had read some more I would have seen......

Looks like they changed her because of her height and weight at the present time. I probably would have had to reduce my plan if I would have wanted to get down to around 125 myself, but I am happy at 140.
